New Desi Tadka is one of the very few restaurants with an open seating area and also serving pure veg food. Parking is never an issue for both two wheelers and four wheelers. The order processing time is pretty quick with some really courteous service.
The menu predominantly focuses on Indian and Chinese cuisine. My personal favourites were Paneer Tikka and the Veg Spring rolls. Lassi was made thick and tasted decent. For the main course, I really loved the 'Kaju Masala' - recommended to be had alongside with Butter Naan. Kadai Paneer is also something to be watched out for.

The ambiance of this place is subtle yet interesting. One would not expect this sort of ambiance on a busy road within the city. The food here is made to order and made to the point of customer satisfaction. It is a garden restaurant in the midst of the busy K K Nagar. If you are a Vegetarian Food lover, then it is the place for you and everything tastes delicious. This place serves only a la carte and the price is nominal.
I wonder how I missed this place!! was the 1st thought on mind about this place. A neat and pretty ambience for all types of crowd with limited seats. A budget friendly place.
Though Baby corn fry and fried rice was bit salty , Mushroom 65 and schezwan noodles were too good. For 6 people it costed 1300.

The vibes & atmosphere of this venue is highly appreciated with complete genuine trees and plants.
It comes with individual roof shed engross you with the ambiance and make you so comfortable and ease.
Situated in Chennai from past 3 years still they bring authentic North Indian food in the menu with a WoW factor as an additional touch.
And they have special section in their menu for thaliโs. Note they have a Jain thali also.

Lemon pudhina punch: it gives a pingy punch in your mouth as a refreshment.
Garlic soup: my dinner started with a bowl of soup. It was like a 1st ball sixer. Delicious delicious and very much delicious.
Chilly mint garlic naan: Well-made Naan crunchy and soft.
Mushroom Manchurian: oh, this mushroom with a Chinese touch is so soothing in taste. For a starter itโs a good try.
Methi paneer masala: Paneer justified and served marvellously. It was yum. It was simply perfect.
Kaju Masala: the heaviest of all dishes. Finish it if you can single handed. But taste wise was very wonderful.
Veg pulao: not the usual dry pulao they make it in a pan. Having good amount of moistness and veggies.
Mango Milkshake: the lady hosting me suggested that I should try this. It was worth a shot. Smooth and sweet very lovely for ending your dinner nicely!
Visited this restaurant recently. A garden theme restaurant in the heart of the city! Their starters ate good. Loved their baby corn starters the most! We ordered their maharaja special THALI and it was a total disappointment. Hope they improve on their taste and quantity soon.

This place has a very calm and comfortable ambience. The service is good and staff is polite, the only thing is they are not very experienced. The food prepared is good and feels very light. It's absolutely worth it visiting this place, especially those who are pure vegetarians.

A humble entrance opens up to a tastefully done up dining space with amazing food. Enjoyed the well curated combos with ample quantity at surprisingly reasonable prices ! The menu busts the myth of a lack of options in vegetarian food. The service is noteworthy, the ambience is soothing with thatched roofs and green grass that make an evening in the Chennai summer breezy and pleasant sans AC. You might want to hop on to a cab and get here because parking might not be the easiest task.

This is my fifth or sixth time here. This place has got a better ambience. The taste of the food is good as well. Both north indian and biryani. But there are some suggestions. If we order a paneer biryani or mushroom biryani we want it as it is. We never want a veg biryani with paneer pieces or veg biryani with mushroom pieces. That was so disappointing last day. Though the taste was good we couldn't enjoy it to the fullest. And I pls recommend you to improve your service. We were waiting at the dinner table for more than 15 mins for any guy to attend us at the first. Only 2 were there. Frustrating.
Thoroughly enjoyed the food at New Desi Tadka. Firstly, greeted with a warm welcome by the manager. The ambience was really nice with a complete outdoor setting with thatched roof adding a vintage feel. As far as food is concerned, the quality was good and quantity was adequate. Decided to visit this place for dinner with a couple of friends.
Firstly the seating in this restaurant is under individual thatched roofed structures for all tables with artificial grass in front which gives it a calm garden like atmosphere which is very different from the usual places in Chennai.
Coming to the food since we were very hungry decided to start of with the Tandoori and Chinese Platters.
The Tandoori platter consisted of 2 types of Paneer Tikka,Hariyali Gobi,Veg Sheekh Kabab and Hara Hara Kabab.
Whereas in the Chinese Platter the dishes which came were Baby Corn Manchurian, Chilly Paneer, Mushroom Pepper Salt and Honey Chilly Potato.
My favourite among them was the Chinese Platter since I liked the sweetness which was there in most of this dishes.
Coming to the main course we ordered the Matka Briyani,Lasooni Methi Paneer, Mushroom Corn Gravy and the Assorted Bread Basket. My favourite was the Lasooni Methi Paneer, the Paneer was cooked well and pieces were soft and the quantity was also good.
For the Desserts ordered the Gulab Jamun and Rasagulla which were good.
Overall a good value for money restaurant and the Platters are a must try.

In Chinese platter it's consist of chilly Gobi Manchurian , veg balls aloo etc
The taste and the consistency of the platter and presentation was really good

Natural thatched roofed individual cabanas,set in calm oasis kind of atmosphere ,you would definitely not think that this restaurant was set in a busy street in K.K Nagar
The cuisine is North Indian and ,Chinese vegetarian .
The menu is rather extensive and as we were unable to decide on starters decided to fall back on the safe option - platters both Tandoori and Chinese.
The Chinese one came with some delicious Honey Chilly Potatoes,Baby corn Manchurian ,Chilly Paneer and Mushroom Pepper Salt .
The Tandoori Platter came with 2 variants of Paneer Tikka ,Hariyali Gobi,Hara Bara kabab and Veg Sheekh Kabab.
I loved the Chinese Platter , everything was on point tastewise ,though the let down in the other platter was the temperature at which the kababs were served.
Main course choices were a delicious Lasooni Methi Paneer which was redolent with the garlic flavour, Mushroom Corn Gravy,assorted bread basket with Rumali Roti,Methi Paratha ,so on and so forth.
We also had to give the Matka Briyani a try, loved the theatre of the uncovering the dough top and the reveal.
I washed my meal down with the Punjabi favourite ,some chilled ,sweet lassi.
The awesome ambiance,good food and the passion displayed by the owner Rishi are all positives which make New Desi Tadka a must try place.
It is one of the best North Indian restaurant with variety of dishes. The food was overall very good and the garden ambience is the best... So if u think of North Indian vegetarian this place is must a visit and lit too

1. Classic Tomato Soup : This was the Perfect Tomato Soup and they have added Cream to it which made the soup taste much better and the fried bread crumbs was a good combination to it.
2. Paneer Tikka : Being a Full Vegetarian Restaurant we wanted to try out the Most common dish which people will buy that's the Paneer and it was actually good and they did give more pieces compared to other places.
3. Honey Chilli Potato : We thought it'll be spicy but they have perfectly combined it with the honey so that the spice level is less and the quantity provided is lot for the price point and it's totally worth it.
4. Paneer Malai Kebab : This has a Flavour which is totally the Opposite of the Paneer Tikka Flavour because it had so much of cream and no spices and it was actually really good.

6. Mushroom Tikka Masala : The Gravy was Yummy but the problem was the mushroom pieces were kinda large and there were more Capsicum and Onions to it rather than the mushroom pieces

This is an beautiful outdoor restaurant and has lovely view for having dinner during the night with the mesmerising lights and plants , it's a total 10 win for the ambience. Their starters such as the pepper mushroom fry and dragon gobi are a fiery dish to handle with amazing spice taste โค๏ธ. Their cheese naan and mushroom noodles are what I would recommend for the people who enjoy spicy food and cheese. I would definitely love to come here once again.

Haan dirst, located at KK nagar, is a lovely North Indian veg restaurant that opens into garden like setting. The ambience is lit with cute light bulbs and attractive decor. The food was extremely good and it has now become one of my most favorite veg restaurants. Every single dish was nice and cooked to perfection. The service was fast. Wonderful little place in KK Nagar. Liked the ambience of a thatched hut which cooled the heat on an extremely hot Monday afternoon. Tried the Chinese Thali while my family tried the Maharaja Thali and the items were simply superb. Salt and spices were perfectly balanced and not a single item was overcooked or underdone. It's pretty crowded in the evenings but still a good place to have a nice lunch with family. Truly recommend the place for authentic North Indian Punjabi food around 10, 11 and 12 sectors of KK Nagar. Definitely worth a revisit.

The taste was awesome and mind blowing.. If you want to try a different place without AC and food in the Nature then donโt miss this place.. The desserts was good as well.. Visited this restaurant today. Was in my to do list for long. Amazing ambience, great food and polite staff make this a must visit place. Kknagar has been short of good restaurants for long and this serves as the perfect one.
Love the food here!! I have ordered quite a few times from this place. My first order was Ghee phulkas, Laccha Paratha and Lasooni Methi Paneer. Phulka and Laccha Paratha were alright, pretty decent. Star dish was the Lasooni Methi Paneer (Must Try!!). Nothing in the gravy felt too much, neither methi nor lasoon(garlic) and paneer was perfect, All perfectly cooked! Next order was Maharaja Thali, which included roti, dal, paneer butter masala, jeera rice, gobi fry. It was the next yum food I have had here. What I like about the food here is, few of the recipes feel like ghar ka khaana. (Obviously paneer butter masala, paneer masala and methi paneer are very rich gravy, but I have also tried Aloo jeera, it was yum!!). Looking forward to try their other recipes! :)

Found a wonderful restaurant with such a nice ambience after a long time. Veg lovers must visit this. A great place to have family dinner or friends day out. No where in Chennai you can find a better place than this with such a quite and natural environment. They built up every hut with so perfectly that you don't require an AC to cool you down. Natural air with a fan help circulate all over.

Good, authentic North Indian food. Outdoor restaurant having rustic ambience, but a small place. Was pleasantly surprised that the food was tasty and not spicy. With limited cooking staff it takes a bit of time, but manageable.

The thatched roof style outdoor restaurant is good for family get together or small grouped parties. The cuisines are delicious. Kitchen is hygeine. Staff are courteous. Prices are within one's reach of their pocket & purse. Dine in, take out available.

One of the Best Veg restaurants in the locality, A must visit place...
Esp Do not miss their Chinese Starters , all the Dishes were Good, Decent out door ambience, Good Service and Good Menu... A lil pricey other than that its 5 ๐ ๐คฉ
I enjoyed the ambiance and flavours but they didn't have much desert options to consume.
Other than that if you find a cozy evening with good Breeze head there and enjoy

New Desi Tadka an open-air garden pure Veg restaurant, pretty unusual which we always look out for.
The vibes & atmosphere of this venue is highly appreciated with complete genuine trees and plants.
It comes with individual roof shed engross you with the ambiance and make you so comfortable and ease.
Situated in Chennai from past 3 years still they bring authentic North Indian food in the menu with a WoW factor as an additional touch.
And they have special section in their menu for thaliโs. Note they have a Jain thali also.
The owner comes and greet you with courtesy. Kudos!! goes to their generous staff and amazing services plus 1 rating just for these things.
New Desi Tadka served me:
Lemon pudhina punch: it gives a pingy punch in your mouth as a refreshment.
Garlic soup: my dinner started with a bowl of soup. It was like a 1st ball sixer. Delicious delicious and very much delicious.
Chilly mint garlic naan: Well-made Naan crunchy and soft.
Mushroom Manchurian: oh, this mushroom with a Chinese touch is so soothing in taste. For a starter itโs a good try.
Methi paneer masala: Paneer justified and served marvellously. It was yum. It was simply perfect.
Kaju Masala: the heaviest of all dishes. Finish it if you can single handed. But taste wise was very wonderful.
Veg pulao: not the usual dry pulao they make it in a pan. Having good amount of moistness and veggies.
Mango Milkshake: the lady hosting me suggested that I should try this. It was worth a shot. Smooth and sweet very lovely for ending your dinner nicely!
