Best chetinad mutton masala, nalli parotta is famous here. Mutton Bryani also very good. Fish items are bit costly. Chinese items are not up to the level.
When it comes to Non Vegetarian, it is Anjappar without any doubt.
We ordered fish fingers which was served with sauce that is really awesome.
We also ordered chicken fried rice. Chicken was cooked very well. Hence it was soft & fluffy. Aroma was good.
We also ordered Ceylon Egg Parotta. As you could see, these were prepared meticulously and were served with onion raita & serva. Hence you need not have to order a separate side dish :)
Brain fry was top class. You can even get it ordered with egg.
Their dosas are good as well. You can go for Egg Dosa, Mutton Dosa and do not miss their chicken/Mutton Kothu Parotta too.
It’s a value for money since quantity is filling and at the same time you also get complete satisfaction with regards to taste & quality.

Food and drinks We ordered chicken Biriyani and Nallu Kari parotha which the waiter said is really good. We ordered them both. The Biriyani was good, nothing special there already have been eating their biriyanis for so many years now. However the Nallu Kari parotha was really good. The mutton gravy was amazing and the parotha combo was lip smacking. I ended up ordering one more parotha. Had also ordered a place of idly for the baby.
Overall, this place is good with good decent food. Also I guess they open up till pretty late at nights.
I couldn't click any pics that day as we were busy hogging the food.

Anjappar, Velachery.
Most places close latest around 11:30, while this one is open for some more time. I have dined here a few times, and have had very decent food. Sadly the ratings are very low on Zomato, and perhaps that's why this place doesn't garner much attention !
Ordered Naattukozhi Rasam, Nenju Elumbu Soup, 2 Egg Dosas, Anjappar Special Chicken gravy, and finished with 2 scoops of Vanilla ice cream. Chicken gravy could be better, but nothing worth complaining. Overall, good food.
The taste is just awesome. This restaurant is the best for Tamil Nadu because it has the correct spices amount.but the food coloring was too much in food which is not good so please reduce..

Thats a great dinner in Anjappar. Had good quality starters with yummy briyani. will visit often. Tasty non veg meals and mutton chukka. Ordered poricha kozhi. Delicious.Served with good quality.Less waiting time.very good ambience. Nice taste.My visit to anjappar was simply awesome.A lovely evening.
These guys are the best when it comes to chettinad chicken gravy and vanjiram meen kuzhambu. Love to order one of these when I see some extra rice at home.

Biriyani is super famous in here. AMBIANCE IS GOOD. Its full A/C room. I went for lunch and easy to find a table because it has lots of space to accommodate many. Service is also good and they accept cards too.
Went with my friends for lunch...location was easy to find...the interiors were good and clean...good quality food...yup I do had to wait for sometime for the food...but that was not an issue...the workers were very polite...we had sweet corn chicken soup which was not that great...and for starters do try nethili fish fry, fish fingers, crab lollipop, chicken lollipop and pichipota natukozhi...all of these dishes very so good..special mention to nethili fry..😍😍 chicken65 biryani,mutton biryani and Chettinad chicken gravy are standard good dishes...not the best of biryanis though...one of my friends was veg..veg meals nd mushroom 65 are good here too...do try their poondu kolambu...and for desserts gulabjamun with ice-cream and falloda here...very good..😍😉 if your for some decent Chettinad food go here...the brand lives up to its name..😀😀

Frequent visitor here for their food. Some foods are always not available. Biriyani's taste vary from one day to another. Sure will visit again. Car parking is available. Staffs are courteous.

Simple good biriyani. I went little earlier than usual lunch time. Staff had ample time and scope for service me well. One thing many restaurant staff are not equipped well to face prepaid customer like me(those paid via app etc )...i see this kind of clients will be more in future...This should be addressed.

Mutton varutha curry -> Mutton pieces were very less and small. Taste was superb. Next time I will order it again.

Good place for a dine out. Good ambience. They recieved and served people well. Food taste is good, but cost is little bit high for the quantity they serve.

Tat was an awesome dinner with pure south indian dishes. Worth of giving more money for the food. Especially "pichupotta naatukozhi" was finger licking good. The smell lasted in my fingers even after that day. Best food and best ambience good service makes a complete place. People around velachery surely visit at once.

The restaurant is located in Velachery 100 feat road on the way to pheonix market city. The parking for two wheelers was not spacious but manageable and for four wheelers it was good. We ordered Tangri kebab, pichipota nattukozhi, Chicken porota, Nethilli fry, Chettinad Chicken roast, butter naan with paneer butter masala, veg pulao, Nattukozhi biriyani and chicken dhum biriyani.
Tangri kebab was mouthwatering and the best I've had so far. Tender chicken marinated in herbs and spices, that was a lovely starter and a perfect dish to start the dinner. Pichipota nattukozhi is shredded chicken with caramelized onions and variety of spices. The dish would go well with most of the indian breads. Chicken porota is comprised of minced chicken and porota with added ingredients. This is definitely something to try but I've had better. Nethilli is was batter Nethilli fish served along with onions and lime, I'm not a big fan of sea food but it was not bad. Chettinad Chicken roast is chicken cooked in pan with special herbs and spices, the dish was amazing and the gravy was exceptional. I didn't try any vegetarian dishes and so i tasted the chicken dhum biriyani. The rice was perfectly cooked and brought out the taste of all the ingredients used, the chicken was succulent and the quantity was good.
The overall experience was satisfying and the great thing about our dining was that all this costed less than INR 2000. So I'm looking forward to dining at Anjappar and try other dishes in the near future. I rate Anjappar a solid 3.5/5

So this was during the powercuts recently. Fortunately for us the power resumed just as we entered this place and we taken to the top floor which was peaceful. Wasn't too hungry so we ordered a kothu parota and an egg parota. The quantity was decent and the taste was good. The egg parota was actually better. A goto place incase you want to sit down peacefully have some non veg stuff.
Anjappar is a typical veg-non veg eat out for anyone who craves Indian food.
This particular order was with a great array of hungry people, leading to a huge amount of ordered food :D Nothing better than mountains of Namba ooru saapadu no? :D
- Fish Fingers - they were a bit hard and thick. Could have been better.
- Mushroom Manchurian - Well balanced, good food, nothing extraordinary.
- Butter Masala Chicken - A good dish, loads of chicken pieces.
All the varieties of Naan and breads were perfect. Briyani lip smacking.
Overall, an obviously definite must-try place.

Except weekdays always need to wait to get seated. Quite a busy restaurant. I always prefer south Indian non-veg big meal, always loved their chicken, mutton, fish gravy's along with the tomato rasam. Nice ambiance, friendly and quick service.
But except food why you people selling packed water bottle for more than MRP quoted. Still no one has the answers from the service or cashier person, whoever reads this review try to get me the answer for it. Parking bikes are quite enough, but for cars you still have the big 100feet road, doesn't cares where the pedestrian walks.

Especially Idiyappam and Paya. Sema combination.
