Hyped for this biriyani from youtube videos. Also heard that it is famous for its quantity with quality. We found this Royapettah Branch through Maps only. There are two shops within 200 mtr on the same street. One is big and other one is too small. We went into small one, because which is what we found first. This place where only 8people can sit and eat. But they have two big size Biryani tavara. I know they are selling more on online than dinein's.
We three of us ordered chicken biriyani and chicken 65. Let's start with biriyani. We felt out tummy filled, On the first glance of the biriyani that served to us. I would say quantity very high which will enough to feed two people. The rice is well cooked, enough masala coated with it. Literally two big pieces and one small piece. We are lucky enough to get leg pieces as well. Taste as well great and we enjoyed each and every bite of that delicious biriyani. Particularly it goeswell with brinjal gravy. Satisfied to core with biriyani.
Next chicken 65. On the joy of eating chicken biriyani i almost forgot the 65 placed right next to my plate. Not much to talk about it. It is an ordinary chicken 65 and tastes like normal road side shop.

The multitude of biryani outlets at every street nowadays has encouraged the over hyped outlets like Aasife, thambi Vilas, star biryani acting as a yard stick for flavorful and tasty biryani. Initially reluctant to try SS Hyderabadi as I've misjudged their multiple branches with the failure of over hyped outlets mentioned earlier. Had to try their biryani at Royapetta outlet on a friend's insistence and it turned out to be lucky venture for me. Ordered three chicken biryanis, one portion of chicken 65 and a Coke bottle. The biryani was the clear of the night. The only Hyderabad connection with the biryani I found is their huge portion. One biryani can serve two persons. Otherwise it's that Chennai styled biryani only rich in flavors and spiciness. Sweet kesari, raitha and brinjal comes as accompaniments for the biryani. I must definitely credit the brinjal dalcha provided here as it is completely out of the world on taste, oily and spicy. The chicken 65 was perfectly fried and portion of 6-9 medium pieces worth the price of some 180 bucks. Ambience: just a hole in the wall kinda setup that also houses 2 four seater tables.

Then this is the place you need to be, situated near the Nungambakkam Police Station, this place serves a variety of dishes.
The Grill Chicken was extremely good and had the right amount of masala and spice in it.
Mutton Biriyani was very good and was really filling.
However I felt that all the dishes were a little over priced.
My all time favorite biriyani i like the service through zomato they are doing great work, Congrats team, Reached my place on time delivery. Quantity of briyani will be more than enough for one person. I recommend this place if you are a briyani lover.
I am kind of regular to SS Hyderabad biryani - as the tag says- they are thr best in bucket biryani.. Biryanis quality and quantity is never disappointed any time. The combo with bucket is good. Eggs and sixty five and the sweet.. The best part is you get the tandoor chicken at a very reasonable price and tastes good..
One of my favorite places in the city to buy bucket biriyani! Though not a big fan of mutton I actually prefer having the mutton biriyani from SS Hyderabad than the chicken. The chicken biryani I've noticed many times that it goes a little dry whereas the mutton biriyani is consistently perfect! Great taste and flavor in the biriyani. SS Hyderabad has never disappointed me with their biriyanis.
The meat pieces after well cooked and so soft to the bite. They serve biriyani with generous pieces of meat too! The chicken 65 too is worth it!

Ordered chicken briyani from this outlet in Johny Johny Khan road. Coming to the taste of the briyani it was just mouth watering🤤🤤. The spice and the taste of the briyani is too good just like the other franchisings. Ss briyani always serves briyani with brinjal curry and raita. SS Hyderabad is well know for the quantity provided by them. The briyani can completely satisfy two persons. The price of the briyani is RS.180 inclusive of tax and delivery fee. If you pick up your order from the shop the price will be little less. I will definitely recommend this shop for pickup or home delivery and not for dine-in. The dine-in place is not that cosy and clean. It will be good if the head of management takes some steps to create a cozy dine-in setup for their customers.
I tried their lunch a couple of times and had dinner once. The food is exceptionally good.. Everything is rich in taste and really cooked well. The biryanis and the curries were cooked to perfection and the quantity is a lot more than in other restaurants. Try it...you won't regret it.

Let me start by being honest, they have no idea what an Hyderabadi biryani looks or tastes like!!!
So, don't expect the famous Nawabi Biryani to be in this place but, being our usual Chennai's biryani it is good and the quality of the meat both mutton and chicken is really better than any other restaurants of this range, I did get to know from a reliable source that they have like 10 or 15+ outlets but the kitchen is centralized and this one they nailed it, no matter which outlet you go the taste is the same a little effort to deliver but, the quality does not get compromised.
The other quite noticeable dish is their Fried chicken it is actually better than KFC no doubt, have had it several times and 3 different outlets well done with out preservatives, something to look forward to...
So, if you find an SS center nearby go try their Fried Chicken you wont be disappointed.

lets come to the service of SS, they are blaming us to give our food on time. we called nearly 10 to 15 times for our lunch bucket biryani. they telling like our bike tyres got blast out. See guys its showing you are not good in this field, please give the mature answer and dont trying to fool your customer guys.

I've been here quite a few times. I still remember the first time going here, the quantity of the briyani was just way too plenty!. The quantity now is a little lesser, but still lot. They also serve really good tandoori chicken.

This was our sunday lunch since the last 5 years, when the price was Rs. 80 for full biryani. Let me tell you this, these guys had once the landmark of royapettah and it tasted so good that one may get addicted. It was first located opposite to the Babylon juice shop in meesapet market and it was an attractions for the passerby when the small shop gets piled up and people form a large que patiently. They even had to expand to another shop because they made the narrow road more terrific than ever. As the time passed by they increased the price and the quantity is something magnificent.
But now they have disproportionated the quantity and price which led us to look for some other centres.

Good briyani 👍🏼, I was wondering if mutton briyani would be great here because of the comments. But it was good 😊👌🏼.
We have ordered 2 bucket briyani of mutton, they have given chicken 65 and eggs additional and sweet but unfortunately due to plastic ban they didn't provide us with the plates to eat😭, they could have given paper plates at least 🤔.
Anyway taste was good and mutton pieces were well cooked and tastier.
You can call or do a WhatsApp message to book an order that's really great 👍 but you won't get an immediate reply but still your will get confirmed soon, thumbs up for that👌🏼.
Delivery was on time, no issues in the delivery. Actually they came all the way from royapettah to thiruvanmayuir 😊👍🏼,thank you.

Got their chicken biryani Swiggied to Egmore railway station. The only worry I had was, will the packaging retain the hotness of food! To my surprise, the packing did keep the food warm until dinner time. Kathrikai thokku, bread halwa and raita were the accompaniments.
The quantity was more than sufficient that I could take the food home for the following day’s dinner :)
The mutton biriyani was very good. If you buy 3000/- Rs mutton bucket biriyani which serves 8-9 person contains 24 mutton pieces and they give you 12 chicken 65 also 10 egg which is more than enough for 10 people. This bucket biriyani also includes bread halwa. Really nice 👍
Ss biryani has always been a favourite one. This outlet is just a takeaway spot quite crowded based on the day and time you go. However they ensure to deliver fast. They serve different variety of fried chicken, however my favourite is always chicken 65, I feel only that goes well with biryani. I always go for soft pieces of chicken in biryani which will be juicy n will have biryani masala flavor in it, so I always ask them for it before I give the token. Overall a good experience as I have been the customer since my childhood days
