Had dinner with my family. Interior too good. Menu is perfect, something for everyone. Service was awesome and very good accommodating. Will be back definitely!
We had dinner with some of my colleagues, the food was absolutely wonderful from preparation to presentation, very pleasing. We had the tasting menu. Everything was exquisite.
This restaurant is renovated in design and taste. Food served well and tastes well. Wanna visit again. Perfect place for frnds and family. Has biryani hub and shawarma hub on the same platform
Lobsters are real hit in this joint. I am not a great fan of lobster, but my friends are. I just had a bite, it was actually tempting. Great place, needs a makeover to accommodate more. Service is good.
The place is good for sea food as the name tells you. Mutton hot and sour soup is the best I have ever had in chennai especially with the thickness of soup and the well cooked mutton it's soo delicious. The chef's sea food platter is one best choice for platter excluding the golden prawns in the platter which literally tasted like bajji. Mutton Briyani was soo normal thus better to avoid it. Service was not up to the mark.
Ordered for chicken and sea food platter sizzlers , the taste is really good , the quantity of the food is absolutely correct .in sea food platter sizzlers more squid was there than that of other fish . And the rest room needs more attention , others wise might have given 5 * .
Went to ifthar buffet....haleem was delicious and samosa and roll was good . I expected very much for that fish finger but it was totally flopped..450 for a ifthar buffet is lil pricey
My favourite restaurant during Ramadan month.Never missed the Iftar food available after 4:00 pm .Can’t resist their Haleem along with Chicken/mutton samosa etc.
It's the best place to visit with ur family and friends. Best ambiance and great services by the employees. Best & moderate price with good finger licking food.
Steaks all day any day💯
If you’re a steak person, do try out the ones at ‘Sizzlers and steaks’ ,Egmore.
Perfectly flavoured and well done with the finest of sauces.
Their tournedo and pepper steak was my personal favourite.
Also their Arabic dishes are worth the pay.
Dey provide absolutely good service, there delivery boy understands and communicates in English which is big relief to customers who don't understand tamil... Food delivery is always on time , food quality is very good. Once we ordered fish lasooni tikka and now we order it every time.
I am happy with the service.
Had Chicken Pasta in Cheese & White sauce, Chicken Rolls and Veg rolls.
It was very well made the rates were also very reasonable. Thank You for your quick service. Definitely recommended
A great place to eat for those people who like a bit of spicy food . The tandoori is really good and spicy the chutney which they serve with the is spicy and tastes very good . If you want to eat shawarma I prefer standing outside on the tables provided cause it costs oly 50 but when it's served inside it's 80 .
Overall a decent place to eat.
Here in Zomato fisherman fare rating is 2+ might have given this rating for alla card I think but coming to buffet really I enjoyed only word I can say awesome

The ambience won't be so pleasing but the taste stands out
The staff are very nice
Been here more than few times. Good place for tikkas and kebabs. Must try their ghee rice with chicken tikka masala or butter chicken. Service has been good whenever I’ve been there.
This restaurant offers amazing diversity of seafood and each and every cuisine is worth eating for
from Arabic to Western Cuisine and dont miss fruit faluda and other desserts. Go for it and do take someone who dont like seafood or avoids it she/he will surely fall in sealove⚓🎣🐟. They make sure its finger licking 😉
such a nice hotel for having a fish... if u ask me which hotel is good for having fish i can suggest u fisherman's fare..they are making in a very unique way.. u haven't tried this kind of fish tikka from anywhere else it was very nice..superb food..evn infrastructure is also good..
Nice food and service 😋 good and fast service ...the BBQ steak was really very good .it is not so expensive too ...so you should try the food
Very good place to have food, awesome food, service and ambiance, i really love to visit the place again and again, this is 4th time am having my dinner here, love to have steaks, more than main course i recommend starters, grills & steaks, if you go with steaks that is more than enough for a person, even the price is reasonable, keep it go folks #fishermanfares.
No complains. Simply good..!! Actually I visited the new anna nagar branch and not the egmore branch. Right from valet parking to desserts, it is A+.
Price is not too high. Try that 👍🏻

Can try out this hotel, holds variety of dishes with decent taste.
Happy dine out!!!
The ambience is posh and elegant. The interior is simple. We ordered the Indian Sea Food Combo and Chicken Pulao. The Sea Food combo had a green salad, Fish Fry, Prawn Fry, Fish Masala, Naan and Pulao. The Pulao is aromatic and a little bland. The fish masala is spicy and goes along with the pulao. The prawn is dipped in a delicious batter and is crisp. However the prawn is not very fresh. The fish fry is a little soggy but good. Overall a fulfilling meal
Good place for non-veg. The grilled chicken is surely good and comes with a mayo cream and mint chutney and a pita bread. This is itself a wholesome meal!
The sea food squid and steaks are made very well, brilliantly spicy. Did not like the Indian curries though. The butter chicken was very spicy and not made that well.
Come here for good sea food grills and curries.
The place is quiet, service is pretty fast and decorous. I found everything very economically priced.
The seafood platter, didn't disappoint. (Deccan Platter) to be precise. The squid and the prawn were delicious, as was the fish. They weren't over the top delicious, but then for the variety, that will make do.
Ordered a schawarma, which wasn't exactly one of their best dishes. I have had far better at far smaller places. Also ordered a mad rush, which is basically vanilla ice cream and jelly with dry fruits. Again, this was a delight.
Overall, this'd be a place to go out for a nice private dinner.
The right place for iftaar time ,one of their specialities is Qubaani ka meetha(apricot halwa) and not to forget the Tastiest Haleem in the city
Location: opposite to egmore Don Bosco school.
This is the right to visit this place ppl (ramzan fasting period) since u get awesome haleem🍜🍜 here after 4pm (but I have not yet tried here, as I went for lunch)
Ambience is not a problem here.
Price is a standard. 💰💲
I tried conti chicken combo which costs 255 with tax with chicken fried rice with 3 chicken side dish and a green salad, frankly speaking the quantity is not appreciable for a foodie like me. Taste wise it was good. Service was satisfactory. 🍗🍴🍚🍲
I visit Fisherman's Fare every Ramzan Month especially for their Haleem. Best place to have Haleem in Chennai.Be there between 4-6 PM in the month of Ramzan to enjoy your Haleem which is once 30 Days in an year!!!
Amazing food. They serve food really tasty and yummy food. Order for 2 was a chicken sizzler and a chicken rice. Simple and good quantity food. Definetly a thumbs up.
Best Hallem in town! I love all food here and what have during Ramadan season is awesome. Food is not spicy but authentic. I traveled 40km just to taste halleem.
This one is an all time favorite place .when confused to choose to go to a new restaurant, this one will be the final choice ... calamari, hawain chicken salad and dragon chicken have been the best dishes...
We went to this hotel in besant nagar, near thalapakatti.the place can occupy 50 members.we ordered tandoor fish combo and prawn jumbo roll.both were tasty.just they took more time to serve, but other than that it was fantastic.i prefer that place for light dinner.
Awesome place to have veg or non-veg. Fish finger and paneer finger are out of world. Good quantity with delicious taste and located in centre place which fits your budget.
Decent place to take your friends for your treat confidently. Satisfied.
One of the oldest Authentic Seafood destination - Chennaiites posh mini beach hangout...! Fish Briyani... 🔝 on the list! Falooda on Not to be Missed!
Very ordinary! So wished they dint have the name they had. Dud from ambience..service..food.. What not ordered fish masala fry and prawns biryani, masala in fish was dead without anything, asked him to re do it, I jus got the same thing more fried. Biryani was not upto the mark, naah not my kinds surely was dissapointed.
The place have been completely revamped and looks much better now.
Not only has the interiors changed but the food taste as well.
The Arabian dishes were good, loved their shawarma and grilled chicken.
Even though their Specialty was their seafood, loved the Murgh mirchi chicken dish with garlic naan. Any gravy you order, please choose half a plate(you have a choice to choose full or half plate gravy) as that is enough for 2 people.
Since the prices are quite economical it does tickle your taste buds, it is a recommend place to visit.
i used to visit the place in 2013 and 2014. A simple no nonsense pocket friendly place. I was never disappointed with the quality of food, may it be their vanjiram fry, prawn fried rice, fish curry, prawn curry kerala style etc
Always a good place to be
Thanks
Me and my cousins planned for the weekend dinner and we decided to get into the nearest restaurant. The waiter came and gave two menu cards, and we asked for some Arabian dishes in that menu, but many of the dishes were not available, so we felt somewhat disappointed anyway there was no choice of leaving so we ordered lung fu soup and noodles soup, the lung fu soup tasted excellent but the noodles soup did not taste as much as we expect. Then we continued to order Hawaiian chicken salad, it tasted like wow.!! That was pretty awesome and that lead us to order some more starters like plate shawarma and chicken Kiev both the starters were good to taste. Then as we were in the sea food restaurant we were forced to taste some seafood for that sake we ordered prawn Kati rolls and fish tikka rolls, in that prawn Kati rolls tasted excellent.
As our stomach was filled with starters we just ordered only one main course Shanghai mixed noodles and that tasted really awesome, then we moved on to the dessert we ordered Manhattan dessert, knock out dessert, royal falooda, kulfi falooda, Persian delight and one more dessert which was filled with vanilla, chocolate and dates. Desserts were fantastic which were filled with dry nuts and fruits but royal falooda and kulfi falooda were not up to the mark anyway that also taste good. And one more problem was the parking, we people just had small paths between the cars to get inside the restaurant.
So here is
the final rating of the restaurant.
Ambience - 3/5
Quality of food - 4/5
Service - 3/5
Overall experience - 3.5/5
I loved the prawn pepper fry and the soup - cream of mushroom. The food was good, but the ambience is kinda depressing and the waiters seemed to be in a hurry to make us finish our meal. Wonder why?
I jus went last week for Iftiar along with my frnd who desperately wants to have Haleem. So we decided go for Iftiar rather getting a take away like normal Iftiari days at home. And To tell y'll it's wasn't a bad Iftiar. I jus loved the silence that they maintained and the food were pretty normal as I normally wouldn't have anything heavy or rich during Iftiar.
Thank God they din't Biriyani for Iftiar instead they served with Roti, steamed and fragrant Basmati rice with two types of Chicken gravy Wer I din't like the one of them Cuz it was a sweet gravy n too liquidy..

Perfect tasty food . Super steaks .
*Review based on the Iftar offerings*
Wanted to check out this place for their iftar offerings. Drove all the way from Besant Nagar to Egmore, just for this. Well, the trip was worth it. The best haleem I've tasted so far. It was a tad bit spicy (which is absolutely okay with me), full of flavours and no bones. Yayyy!!! They sell like hot cakes. I grabbed a 300ml container. The haleem is topped with caramelized crispy onions, corriander & mint and roasted cashews with generous dosing of ghee. It costs 140 bucks which is absolutely worth every penny spent.
Apart from haleem, I also picked up Ande ka Meetha, Khubani ka meetha, chicken pakoda and mutton samosa. We also had rose milk, badam milk and falooda. The drinks were very watery and lacked flavour. Priced at 40 bucks, Ande ka meetha was lip smacking-ly delicious. Slightly crumbly in texture, sweet with a taste of eggs and milk solids aka khoya with the flavour of ghee, this was simply yummy. The Qubani ka meetha aka the apricot pudding was good too. The apricots were well cooked and people who don't have a sweet tooth may find it too sweet. But for me it was perfect. Chicken pakoda was average and nothing to rave about. The mutton samosa were full of flavour. Crisp on the outside with good amount of filling that had mutton, onions and peas, it was spicy and good.
The iftar offerings from Fisherman's fare was very satisfying. Planning to go again for the haleem and ande ka meetha again if possible.
This is that time of the year when we Muslims love fisherman's fare even though we don't visit this place if not for the month of Ramzan. They have one of the best haleem in town. If I begin to describe the taste of the haleem I would probably waste a lot of time describing the perfectness with which haleem here is cooked. There are also some great desserts one the Iftar menu here. Rating is based only on the food for the month of ramzan.
Fishermans fare never disappoints - I was passing by this place on my way back from work and noticed their new Iftar menu , so went there to check it out . Since I didn't want to eat alone there , opted for a takeaway so that I can have my own Iftar at home . Ordered for 300 ml of haleem , chicken shawarama , and ande ka halwa for dessert ,wanted to try their mutton samosas but they ran out of it . The haleem was rich with generous amount of ghee and spices and topped with caramelised onions , the viscosity was perfect and it did not stick to the spoon and the taste was excellent . The shawarama was pretty mediocre and the portion was quite small . The ande ka halwa was the highlight , it was soft and moderately sweet and it almost melts in your mouth , planning to try the other items in the Iftar menu as well .
I have been there twice, once for an family dinner and other time it was just for a casual lunch. I would give 5 for the starters(platters) they serve .The main course and combos is not so impressive as the starters. service is good when there is no crowd... Music they play needs attention.. all mood spoilers are played and that takes a hit on the ambiance.
Overall it is a place to taste good sea food at a reasonable rate
I was with my friend on a Sunday for lunch and it was almost 3 o clock in the afternoon and the restaurant was little crowded and we got our table and we ordered Fish Tikka for starter's and prawn biryani and a fish meals combo for the main course and ultimately all the food was excellent especially the fish tikka it was amazing and the prawn biryani is a must try. Over all the food was excellent and the service was good.
Fisherman's fare - it had been around for as long as I remember. Have been going to FF from my school days. It's on the casa major road in egmore and right opposite to Don Bosco school making it very easy to spot. Previously it used to be just one dining place, now they have divided into 4 sub restos - the Fisher man's fare, falooda n shakes, Arabian bites and steak n sizzlers.
Last night after bidding adieu to a group of buddies, me Nikita Mulchandani n Ajit Induchudan decided to head for dinner. And after 30 minutes off argueing where to go, Ajit threw a " I want chicken" fit.. So we had no choice but to head to the nearest place that serves good kababs.
Ambience -
Last year they renovated the place up and it looks great at least much much better than how they used to be.. The large Damask frames on white walls and the dark gray & white interior compliment each other. The
Service -
The service is quiet decent. The waiters are helpful and courteous but the service is slow 50% of the time.
Food -
I have tasted most of the dishes on the menu and absolutely love their Indian creations.. Tonight, We decided to eat light. We orders a tandoor kabab combo, a chicken shawarma roll and a egg biryani.
The shawarma roll was juicy and yumm. The combo had 2 butter naans, 2 pieces of fried fish, 2 pieces of chicken tikka, a portion of ghee rice and a bowl of butter chicken. The kababs were really good. The rice, naan and butter chicken were decent. The egg biryani was bad. No taste, too bland to be called biryani.. For dessert we ordered a khubani ka meetha. It was just apricot pulp in sugar syrup.
Apart from these, Dishes and combos that I have enjoyed and are worth a try are as follows :
◾ Marina sea food platter.
◾ Fish tikka.
◾ Singaporean chilli fish.
◾ Prawns pepper fry.
◾ Schezwan prawn noodles.
◾ Oriental fish.
◾ Indian seafood.
◾ Haleem. (served exclusively during the month of ramzan)
Pricing - Reasonable. At 270 bucks, their combos can be shared by two easily. At 630 bucks, they platter (half) can be filling and shared among 3-4 people. Our bill for tonight came up to 700 bucks - good VFM.
An average hotel wid gr8 ambiance..service is not upto da mark..da only option as no hotels around.........................................,
The restaurant had been there for quite some time and it has been my favourite restaurant as I can trust them with the quality of food and service. Their sea food especially squid is worth trying.
Excellent food. Their fish biryani is to die for. Never had better fish biryani anywhere else.We ordered for their fish platter. It came so beautifully decorated all colorful with a lit tomato cut like a flower. Everything was delicious in that platter. The staff are very kind and friendly. They give good suggestions on what to order. The place is a little dark and the hand wash needs to be improved. It is not that neat.
#245. [8-May-15] :-
Before catching a train at Egmore, decided to have dinner here. It's located on Casa Major Road, along with three other sub outlets (Cream & Faloodas, Sizzler & Steaks, Arabian Bite). These 3 are sub outlets of Fisherman's fare. I have decided to try at Fisherman's fare itself. They have partitioned the dining area as rooms & decent ambiance with dim lights.
As per waiter suggestion, I ordered their specialty which is Marine Sea food Platter(Rs.662), which has 5 different type of sea foods & served with french fries, mint chutney, Garlic Mayo & Salads.
- Fish Tikka :- Best dish, pieces were very delicate & tasted perfect.
- Fish Finger :- Fish finger was good dish with lots of minced meat.
- Calamari (Squid) :- Crunchy fried squid rings, huge quantity (almost half the plate).
- Oyster Fried Prawns :- Oyster sauce made it sweeter, prawns were little hard, could be softer. But tasted good.
- Prawns Fry :- Spicier version of prawns, tasted good. Could be softer as the previous one.
Half the plate was filled with Calamari & the rest was filled with remaining dishes. It would be better if they serve all of them in equal quantity. Too much Calamari might put us off.
Also ordered Ginger Lemon Soda(Rs.60), which was refreshing & good.
Manager was friendly & courteous. Asked for extra mayo, obliged & served it. They had few issues, which was rectified by him.
1. There was fly in the drink after serving, which was replaced. It was strange in such a clean space to have that fly.
2. Ginger Mayonnaise served was spoiled, which was also replaced.
I hope they address these issues & avoid them in future.
Costs totally was Rs.773 (after tax), which i felt it's very expensive & paid Rs.200 extra. I have had similar platter for much cheaper price at similar restaurants.
Had a good seafood meal at very high price. I might not visit this place again, unless they reduce the cost.
I had thaali meals and fish fingers here.food was so neat and clean.ambiance and serving was great.over all a classy hotel.wish to go again and again.fish fingers were awesome.i recommend you to try for sure!
Always wondered why there is so much flak about this place, I find the food here to be just alright. The food here is spicy and really excites your taste buds, which is just the sort of experience I'm always looking for, stay away from the sea food platter at all costs, their Chinese dishes and sea food are my personal favourites, although the butter chicken masala is equally delectable as well.
One of the few places which served Hallem during the holy month. They make some pretty awesome Arabian dishes and also try out their sea food menu. They also have a steak joint on the 1st floor.
Came here to celebrate Easter sunday on 05.04.2015. . Had no much expectation but was really delighted to my surprise it was a outstanding...when menu card arrived it contained a huge option to choose from.. food taste was excellent no complaints on that till t dessert. Service was also good standard.i would really suggest this if you are a sea food lover mainly. And my suggestion to try squid fry . Good place for good dining....i have given .5 lesser to 5 points just for ambience ...... other wise overall i can give 5 out of 5
Went in here seeking beef steak.
The Steak outlet was present in the first floor of the building which according to me had a capacity to hold at least 50.
Waiting service was appreciative, the waiter who waited on us gave us the whole view about the A-la-carte and buffet menu they had, which made it convenient for me to select my choice and it was the obvious Buffet menu; I have always been fond of the buffet menu since I get a chance to eat most of the delicacies and that too this place had my favourite non-veg steak’s lined up in their menu, they had around 5 beef steak dishes, 5 chicken steak dishes, 5 fish steak dishes and finally 5 Veggie steaks.
So I had lots of options in front of me to choose, unluckily my friend who accompanied me didn’t have much to choose from because of the recent vegan traits. My friends order was from the Fisherman’s fare menu, and the order was for A Chinese Veg combo which had Golden baby corn, Chilli gobi, Veg.Ball Manchurian in sauce, veg fried rice and a salad which as a combo was awful is the comment which my friend made; A bad thing about the veggie which we ordered here was that it had a small piece of meat in the tossed salads which pissed my food friend a lot.
Even though I felt bad for my friend, my steak made me feel merry all along. I ordered Tournedos, a fish steak and a grilled fillet steak, these were accompanied by some not so good French fries and salad; these guys can definitely work on their fries and salad. All these steaks were too good to be true for the 499 buffet price, I could have tasted more of the dishes is all that I regret about ….
Non-veg lovers do give this place a try the food is delicious and the cost is economical.
“The only think I like better than talking about Food is eating”
Must try shavarma here!! It was jus osm
Ambience- itz kinda dark inside ... Tuff to take a selfie :P
Moving to the main course :
Shavarma was great
Chicken tikka roll was jus average... I didn't like their mint chutney
Fish finger was normal ... Not bad neither great
Then comes the dessert :
Kesar falooda - i jus loved it ... The flavor was so rich n creamy
Choconut icecream was jus yum yum ... Loved it the most
PS : I've tried even the home delivery ...it was quick and satisfactory ... except for the falooda which was really watery
I would rate :
Ambience -3/5 [itz really dark inside]
Service-5/5
Taste -4/5
Price - 5/5 [shavarma for 50 bugs not bad]
Parking - 4.5/5
Good place.... Especially during eid... The menu is brilliant... So Is the pricing... This place is a must visit during ramzan fasting... Specially in the evening....
Good ambience, good food, the only downside is no alcohol is served. Four of us Ordered deluxe seafood platter, beef steak, chicken sizzler, chilli prawns and fried rice. All were amazing especially the platter, but the chicken Kiev we had also ordered was not so good... All in all a good place to have sea food...!!!
Good food, with below average ambiance ..they r currently hosting steak buffet ...must for steak lovers.veg sizzlers were equally good .faloodas are a total failure.
Excellent place for seafood... V went around 10:40 pm.. Still v had a nice fresh food.. V ordered for chef platter, Singapore chilli lobster and
Garlic naan.... Thy closed kitchen by 11 before closing thy asked us whether v need anythin more.. V said nothin but after 5 mins v feel like having one more Naan so v requested them..thy agreed and v had one more Naan.. Lobster was excellently cooked but regarding portion it is little bit less... Chef platter everyone must try... Sea food lovers ll definitely enjoy it... Ambience average.... The worse part is wash room... Thy need to do something for it!!!
Such an amazing experience. .. meand my hubby loved it.. ordered the seafood platter with garlic naan.. it was lip smaking.. loved every morsel on the plate... we finished the meal with the hydrabadi dessert kubani ka meetha... sweet lovers will love it... stewed apricots served with a dollop of ice cream :) will surely vist them again..
They have a steak and sizzler joint on the first floor which we tried this time around as they introduced lunch buffet with unlimited servings on the table, so we tasted pretty much the best steaks on the menu, the king fish steak was awesome along with barbecue fish and grill fish which had Basa fish served, don't miss the hamburger steak which is juicy and delicious along with beef steak fillet which was good. Chicken steak was also good but we did not try much... They served an awesome soup and finally a huge serving of complimentary faloda which was good. Don't ask for mashed potatoes which sucks so instead order for finger fries and they also serve tasty ghee rice along with all steaks
I had a very good dinner the platters they have are fabulous, very appetizing not only that during every ramadan evening i buy haleem and chats which is very good
Great ambiance, amazing food and friendly service sums up my experience with the restaurant. Wanted to try this place for a very long time as sea food was their specialty and having chicken and mutton as a staple meal every where I go, this place offered the much needed variety. As I entered with my family, I was ushered to a nice seating by a friendly attendant. The place was pretty spacious and offered many options to be seated. The interiors were pretty neat and the restaurant was very clean and tidy. The free starters included papads and some basic salad. Started the meal with a hot garlic soup and hot and sour soup which were very good. The sea food platter ordered great variety and very rightly cooked. The food was also presented in a very attractive way. The tandoori platter was a delight for chicken lovers and had the right spices. The restaurant also offers great variety of Arabian cuisine, which is a treat but sometimes confuses you with too much choice. Finally the falooda's fished off a wonderful meal, a special mention of the choconut ice cream has to be mentioned, it was really mouth watering. Great food at a very reasonable price. Will visit this place again. Thumbs up!

This place is so awesome! The seafood!!! Woah! The best I've had ever!
Don't forget to try the platters they have!
I can guarantee, for any sea food lover, this place is heaven!
Visited this place recently with my friends and their family. Platters were good, but we felt the quantity to be less.
The total ambience was good, still the smell made us little uncomfortable. Staffs did their job well and were polite till the end.
We didn't have much options for desserts and they had the usual menu for the same, which was a little let down.
Still the overall experience was good.
Price fits your pocket.
A good place in Egmore to spend your weekend.
the over all experience was good !! staff was good !! price is average !! arabian chicken dishes were good !! fish was bad! dnt expect too much !!
Best seafood and Arab dishes in town. Was selective last time.. Dint try all their dishes..staffs were too good.. Will visit again for other dishes..
My friends took me to this place which I never heard before. To begin with , I liked the ambience and their service. The menu had so may varieties. Sea food is their speciality. Especially crabs n prawns. Omg!! They were really amazing. If you are a seafood liker, you must try this one for sure. Even the tandoori was nice. After a long time I went to a nice hotel with my friends.
It's been ages since I last went but until then it never ever disappointed me!
A good restaurant to be with for seafood cuisines. They have space for car parking but its of very limited capacity. From the car parking area a stairs leads to the restaurant in the lower level. The restaurant doesn't have too many dining seats and at times it will be very crowded.Whenever I visit here,I try out there combos and seafood broth soup.Do try out their Oriental fish, oriental chicken combo. You will get sufficient portions of each dish in a soup-bowl sized bowl(dont expect gargantuan portions) .I liked these combos a lot and at the end of the meal you will feel satiated.
Sucha wonderful place to hav a wholesome meal !! Seafood is simply amazing like its fresh from the sea. Calamari rings is the signature dish of this restaurant. . It is soft , hot and succulent on the inside with a crisp and balanced outer coating ..not to forget the yummy tartar dip that makes it yummy! Seafood platter symbolizes awesomness... the ambience and service put icing on the cake .

Fish fish n fish!!
The place reminded me of a coral reef - so many sections. A party hall too. All ye chennai walas - you must try this place!
Being a big sea food lover and having crossed this place many times for the past few years, I wonder what took me so long to enter this place. Finally it all happened and I planned to visit this place with my bestie who is a foodie too.
I was pleased right from the first moment. The security, waiters and
Cleaners were all so friendly and good to communicate with. The attenders have good knowledge about each of their dish which made me feel really comfortable. I have the habit to discus in detail about any food which is new to me. They suggested me to go for a Chef Special Sea Food Platter and Chicken Pepper Soup to start off. Both the dishes were amazing. The fish tikka, squid fry and prawns were mouth watering. We just couldn't stop eating. Then we ordered one Tandoor combo to share, but it was too much for us. Had to leave over a portion of rice and a piece of naan. Every dish they served was very delicious and made me regret for missing the place for this long. I scheduled my second visit this upcoming weekend with my mom and brother. Also decided to include this restaurant in our regular weekend hangouts.
Though the price for most items are reasonable for the quality and service they provide, I felt the crab and few fish curries were way too expensive for the general crowd. Overall it is a must visit place for all sea food lovers who expect high quality meat and taste.
Located in Casa Major road, Egmore....this a laid back restaurant.....Nice place for a leisure outing with friends or family..
Ambiance is great.....The staff welcome you with a smile....are really polite..
Decor is good....nicely arranged furniture and paintings on the walls....
For starters, we tried Tava king fish fry-- which was tasty, yet serves as a great appetizer...Chicken spring roll--minced chicken mixed with vegetables was nice and crunchy......we also tried chilly paneer-- which was pretty nicely done...
Main course--every dish given has a generous helping...and really fills you up....
American chopseuey was served with fried egg....the noodles crispy and the sauce perfect....
Chicken biryani was oil free and aromatic-- rice cooked to perfection......
Paneer lawadbar curry was really heavy though---packed with cream---went well with butter naan s and phulkas....
For dessetrts, Kuubani ka meetha with cream is a must try...thick apricot pulp mixed with cream--- offers a unique taste for the taste buds....
Overall-- great place for a leisure lunch....
Good food at a reasonable price. Chinese dishes are good here.
My experience is based on two different events, one was the New Year Buffet '13 and the Ramzan special of '13. I was waiting for a tryst with their a la carte, so that I can write a proper review, but that doesn't seem to be happening anytime soon after seeing all these unsatisfactory reviews. Reason why I am still writing one is because I do not want anyone to miss out on the Iftaar menu being catered currently.
First let me wrap up with the buffet. There were numerous varieties for the non vegetarians, especially sea food, and pretty less an array for the vegetarians; which is kind of obvious from the name of the restaurant itself. There was lobster, prawns, fish fry, fish gravies, two to three varieties of chicken, some mutton dish too, along with the usual biryani, noodles, etc. For the New Year Special Buffet priced at 550/- including taxes, this was one super steal of a dinner we had. All the dishes were awesome indeed and not even one lacked quality and taste. The containers were frequently replenished and no customer was left waiting. Around 3 falvours of Ice Cream, Payasam, some dish I do not remember the name of but was excellent, fruit salad, etc. were provided for the desserts; a truly satisfying dessert spread that you could consume after all those dishes you had filled yourself up with. The only problem was the service, especially clearing the tables. Their actions were not deliberate of course, because they were stacked high with responsibilities that night. Repetitive calls had to be made before they retrieved the plates. Reason of this problem was obviously because they provided no place to deposit the plates either. However, completely ok-ish and forgivable as I was in really good spirits because of the good food. The Buffet here seems to be a good deal and the large array of dishes taste brilliant too.
Now, the Ramzan Iftaar special. The caterers seem to have arrived from Hyderabad [I may be wrong], for they have Double Ka Meetha, Lukmi and the sorts along with the quintessential Haleem. I was highly speculative of the authenticity; forget authenticity, I would have been grateful if only other parts of the country provided Haleem that can at least be graded good enough by the palate and its constituencies. However, after billing at the counter, I went over to get my parcel and was immediately happy. Reason being the setup of the Haleem container seemed exactly like it would be in the innumerable places in Hyderabad, with the person serving it sitting on top of the huge metal bin with the container enveloped inside. Same dishing out, same texture, same viscosity, same aroma wafting through on opening the lid, and the same lemon, cashews & fried onions strewn over the top before closing the take away box. Hopes had been lifted to the highest levels and I rushed back home to sample it. Immeasurable gratitude and joyful implosion occurred simultaneously. This was ditto the authentic Haleem, minus the floating residue of ghee/oil on the top. This Haleem is the best I have had till date outside of Hyderabad and one can even dare to call it the same. It missed the unnecessary dry fruits streaming around spoiling the taste as offered in some "exquisite and expensive" places in Hyderabad, and was I even more delighted! This dish here was laden with meat in every bite, rich and gooey till the end. Go people, do go, for the best nonsense free and exquisite Haleem you will get in Madras. Go a bit early if you want other dishes too, because the Lukmi was cleaned off the shelves by 6.30 PM itself; the Haleem may face the same fate, for you may never know.
P.S.: Do not go to the branch at Spur Tank Road, for its a waste. They had only two boxes of Chicken Haleem left by 6.15 PM and when asked if the main branch would have Mutton Haleem, he was unsure. When requested to enquire, the person at the counter says "They will be busy". Yes, for this call would ruin their day. I anyway acquired the number through a provider and enquired the same to immediately get a response of 'yes'.
We order from here all the time. While the delivery time is not the fastest, the quality of good, price, and variety are fantastic.

Just spoke to the geyser regarding a buffet arrangement for my company, as a matter of fact iv spoken to at least 4 different restaurants around Chennai for the same. none of them were near to good as this guy was, customer satisfaction 100%, good job mate
This is a very good place,i wonder why the rating for this place is low, staff is friendly, preparations are really worth and the ambiance is quite good. Must try.
