I love love love the cakes made at hotbreads. They get their proportions right all the time !
The price is definitely reasonable when compared to a lot of bakeries out there.
They also have a good range of freshly baked breads and puffs to offer.
An old bakery with Varieties of pastries , cupcakes and breads . All fresh made on the same day . They even take up orders for cakes . Their cupcake and croissants are very good .
Birthdays and you need a cake that is cheap and delicious? Hot breads is the place that you need to go to.... In 2014, we had ordered a fresh pineapple cake from French loaf for my Father's 50th cause that was his favorite. We had made the order way earlier and called a couple of times before going to get our order but the man behind the counter he didn't even note our message for the cake and had a bland cake with just frosting.
With anger, we left the store and called our aunt. She told us about hot breads, and how they'll make your cake even in the last minute and give it you quickly. With prayers, we went inside and they quickly prepared the cake and gave it to us within 15-20 mins. Since then, Hot breads was our go-to cake shop for all our birthdays.
Sometimes, the exotic chocolate decorations were not that good but they are very open to critics and will improve it the next time.
Hot breads is my friendly neighborhood bakery which has been a fixture in my life since my childhood days.
In fact it is the first of the " modern" chain bakeries to open in our area where we could go and select and self serve " fancy " savories like quiche ,sausage rolls and stuffed buns from shelves.
The advent of newer and chicer places has somewhat lessened its appeal but for loyal customers it is still the go to place for bread and pastries.
I particularly like their almond pie which tastes good when microwaved for a few seconds and their cheesecakes.
Their made to order "special "occasions cake still retain the good taste and value for money .
The cakes and other baked goods are made on site at the Kilpauk Branch which adds to the freshness value .
They serve some amazing cakes and breads.Though the place is small and cramped, it can accommodate at least 20 people at a single go. They have a variety of savouries and snacks for a customer to choose from. Their Brownie used to be my favorite when it used to be the nearest and only cake joint near my place. But since then a lot more shops have opened in the vicinity.
I visit this place almost every other day for my daily bread, no pun intended. The folks there are polite and helpful. I am a fan of their multi grain and whole wheat bread. The almond tart and strawberry pie is lovely and cakes are good too, especially eggless chocolate. In season, be sure to have their rich plum cake which is better than you get in other bakeries. You should also try their chicken puff and veg rolls.
Been to this place a few times. Chocolate truffle and black forest cakes are pretty good here.Had brownie once which was average. Its a small pace with decent interiors.
This place is located right in the main road. Its small compared to the one in saidapet. The donuts taste really good. Especially the chocolate ones. And the cakes they make, I got to see how they make them! It was marvelous watching it!
One of my favorite hot bread outlets although the car parking is a hassle. They have the best cakes and savouries.
Their burgers, sandwiches and their chilli cheese toast are the best. the cheese literally melts in your mouth. The chocolate truffle pastry is wonderful and their muffins are delicious. Havent tried their pizzas yet. Will do soon. But gets a bit crowded in the evenings.
Standard hot breads quality n taste. Its been around for a long time. Always crowded by school children. Avoid going there around 3pm to 4pm on week days.
I had a great experience over here.., Cake was prepared with maintaining hygiene in a live counter!! Taste was also good!
The cakes are totally amazing it’s very good food it’s very nice and there are also many other pastries and puffs sometimes if your lucky you might find some kind of pizza and the atmosphere is ok don’t recommend you to eat there but if it’s for take out or delivery and my personal favourite is the chocolate cake and the donut the muffins are also good it’s particularly not egg free. But there is ones puff and more
Veg Puffs, veg chocolate truffle highly recommended. Store gives very good stuff, only parking has to be in a no parking zone. Did not try non veg as I am vegetarian. Courteous service.
No matter how many bakeries pop up, Hot Breads Kilpauk will always remain my go-to for baked goodies. Top notch cakes, cupcakes, brownies and pastries. When I'm craving something savoury, I go for their BBQ chicken sandwich or their chicken croquette. They have such friendly staff and so many of our last minute birthday cake requests have been handled perfectly!
Decent range of fresh pastries priced moderatively along with different types of bread( whole wheat ,sandwich, garlic etc). I personally used to get my bread and multigrain one from here .
They have a limited selection of Savory items like puffs ,sausage rolls and stuffed buns .
You can get special occasion cakes at short notice . Like chocolate Truffle which is often available and they will pipe your choice of message instantly .
This shop is there for almost from my school days guess from 1999 or 2000 onwards since then they maintain the same quality. Introduced many foods which is freshly baked
We have ordered the black forest eggless cake on my niece birthday. The cake was deliciously soft chocolate taste with whipped cream. Everyone has said cake is tasty and worth to spend for this quality one.

Long time customer of Hot Breads, always buy cakes for family birthdays etc. Very helpful staff and cakes are always very well done. A couple of tables are available if you want to sit and munch on some rolls or buns which are also really good. Car parking is a hassle, there is parking available for 2 wheelers though 👌
EXCELLENT CAKES AT REASONABLE PRICES
Bought the cookies, doughnuts and truffle cake slices here. The doughnuts could've been better but i absolutely relished the jar of cookies and the chocolate truffle cake!
