Sudden cravings for ice creams and we ended up ordering from this place. The bday cake and the cream and cookie were delicious. Will surely try more next time.
This is a very small joint very near to Mbessy Adyar. Turn into 5th street next to Mbessy and you'll find Minimelts as soon as you enter. There is no separate parking place but there will be ample space in nearby lanes to park your vehicles.
As already mentioned, it is a small joint, so a great ambience is out of question. But, it will be comfortable to be seated inside the shop or outside.
We ordered Ved Cheese burger, Veg Wrap, Fish Paneer Burger and a plate of Samosa( 4 pieces). Everything was really good and their service was quite quick.
Their ice creams sure are very different from what we usually get anywhere else. They are indeed "Mini" melts. They didn't have the combo ice creams mentioned on their menu and only the basic variants were available.
We ordered Double choco chip, Cookies and cream and Birthday Cake. All of them were delicious but Birthday Cake was probably the best pick.
Cost- Approx 700 for 3
Ice cream in the form of mini balls. Menu showed flavours like cotton candy but availability of the same was a let down. Not more than 2 persons can sit inside the shop and eating becomes difficult if snacks items like French fries are ordered.
A kiosk that is not only good for ice creams but other stuff too. They have other dishes like burgers , pizzas , French fries ,etc. Must try out their cheesy chicken burger. It's just amazing. Take away would be a better option. Good service.
Got a different ice-cream experience from Mini Melts! As the name suggests its available in the form of mini balls that melts in your mouth.
It can be kept for max an hour before it melts, so if possible you could try out home deliveries.
Lots of flavours available.
VFM.
Totally different concept
I really love the way it's being served . They take ice cream to a different level that's what makes Mini melts diff from the other ice cream parlors in town .i had cotton candy , chocolate .both tasted so yummy .it looks like it's very hard but once you start eating it just melts in your mouth .
Deliciously new ice cream experience. Cosy joint offering fried western snacks as well. Imported from Australia. Kids will love this one for sure.. Must try.
Mini melts are the cure for people who don't gulp in big spoons of ice cream at once :D
It looks very different, tempting, colorful and cute. The taste s promising. It took me long before i could realize it wasn't thermocole balls :D
There is this outlet right in front of the Subway, Chetpet. Pocket friendly melts :D worth a try!
Love your snow ice creams which are not the usual smooth ice creams u eat it's I me thing different u need to try it out ..so plz don't miss it try it out
Guys I think so you should try this ice-cream a new experience not the usual you eat but ..#expensive
Tasty icecreams!!! Dont miss to try out banana split flavour. A different concept by itself. Kids would enjoy for sure. Maintained at -40deg, the coldest icecream ever! And worth for the cost we pay.
My first visit to mini melts has been a long time plan! And finally, I managed to visit it under the pretext of my bestie's birthday surprise :P
It is nothing but ice cream that has been manufactured by cryogenics which uses liquid nitrogen to freeze it in a very low temperature and due to the rapid freezing the flavors are locked into these tiny balls!
You're in for a surprise when you take in a mouthful of these! Me and my group of friends started jumping once we tasted it and the feeling you get is sooo exquisite to be put into words! :D
We chocolate lovers went in for cookies and cream and the double chocolate chip! But I bet their other flavors are absolutely good too! Just wish I could've tried every one of those :D
Omg... Can thr b miracles happening in d areaog science n food together.... Yess ofcourse d tremendous medling n playing with liquid nitrogen n d sparklit striking brains of food scientists hav created dis heavenly dessert... Mini meltz. In other countries tis is calld d "dripping drops"... N well as d name suggests it rightly melts in ur mouth d as an added icing is cold too..
P.s: It wud give u a feeling of thermocole balls meltin into sweet little thoughts tat wud stay stuck day n ni8 as amazin moments in us!!!

A different type of Ice cream shop. Totally a Whole new way. They are tasty and real attractive. The mini melts when they start to melt in your mouth after you have a spoon of it.That taste makes you eat another one. They have plenty of flavours. My all time Fav Chocolate is too classy and great as usual. Other flavours were also good.
some notable flavours were cookies & cream, cotton candy, double choco chip.If you haven't tried this place , its the right to check it.In short - " They know the way to gain your attention and make you happy "My rating is 4/5.
A very nice and an innovative way to attract kids!
Ice creams taste really good and flavours are plenty!
However rightly termed mini melts, the actual feel of eating an icecream and waiting for it to melt in your mouth for long and relish the gulp till the next spoon is not there!
This is like a very quick way of eating I can say!
After reading a review here about Nitrogen Ice Cream at Mini Melts I was immediately hooked. What is this novel thing - solid ice cream? Both as an ice cream devotee and a geek, I just had to go here. In my mind I pictured a shiny lab like place, with ice creams being brought out from metal containers even as white vapour rises all around. I also imagined people wearing lab coats running the shop.
It turned out to be exactly like any other ice cream shop, even tinier. Instead of serious looking scientists running around there was one young man playing with his cellphone. Instead of steel containers there was the usual ice cream display counter. The ice creams though didn't look like ice creams at all. In fact they looked entirely like colored mints. When asked for a scoop (which is Rs 60 now) the shop guy just took a bunch of those guys in a cup, and they jingled as they were poured. There was nothing remotely ice cream like about them yet. What sorcery was this?
It's only when we started the eating part of the business that the ice cream aspect came out. Solid at room temp, these guys melt under the pressure of your mouth, quickly turning into the semi-liquid thingy that we know and love. That was fun! I went for the butterscotch flavour and my friend (who had initially been reluctant to come because his only acquaintance with liquid nitrogen was through the movie Terminator 2 where it was clearly established as a thing not to be messed with) chose an alfanso flavour. Then we shared a double chocolate. Now the flavours in themselves don't really stand out. They aren't all that different from the average ice cream. So if you're an ice cream taste purist and the prospect of having ice cream that looks like those gems candies leaves you unmoved, this place won't do much for you. If on the other hand the novelty of this appeals, then go there once you must.

Watching Heston Bluementhal play with nitrogen one tends to wonder how can an icecream be molded as a rock solid. But not even to my wildest of dreams did I even expect nitrogen icecreams entering the Indian market. Mini Melts, shaped like a igloo, is located at Padmanabha Nagar offers some exotic flavours at a very nominal price.
Instead of scoops of icecream we are served tiny minuscules/ molecular sized round shapes balls which are frozen and coated with nitrogen, whole sum in quantity .The place leaves us with 12 choices ranging from chocolate, vanilla, strawberry, candy, choco chip, butterscotch, kulfi, alphonso mango, birthday cake, pista, black current etc. Simply the black current & mango withheld the original taste of fruit adding a natural flavor to it. While chocolate & vanilla went hand in hand balancing the choco chip mixture.Immediate attention needs to be showered over candy & butterscotch which was overpowered with artificial essence.
Mini Melts - Big things come in small packages !! A freezing start !
Overall : 4.5/5
value for money : 5/5 ( 1 scoop costs around 50 bucks)
Cookie Cream moi favourite !! Different type of ice cream which melts like snow.. Mouth watering !
Worth tasting it !!
yummy
a very good initiative. i got the chance to meet the owners when i went there accidentally, they seem to be very young and ambitious.
the ice cream is excellent and very different. i haven't had anything similar like this before. very good service and my experience there was brilliant. waiting to go back!
cheers..
Started just now in chennai! Its on the way to bessy! A very small outlet! But the ice cream here is really delicious and the coldest ice cream so far.
Available at a reasonable price in varied flavours! :)
Some of the best ones are double choco chip, black current, vanilla, cookie and cream!
Also you have an option of mixing flavours at a go. :) so why waste time? Check out this place!
Awesome icecream! :)
The best in town! Black current and banana split are brilliant.
A must go-to place for all icecream lovers! xD
