This is a Chinese restaurant that consist of both veg and non veg
This is a place where the entire dinning will be under single roof
The think I didn't like in them is ....since it's under single roof the kitchen will be more visible. But it is quite good surrounding .
When it comes to food
Quantity
Service
Taste at it's best .
Price are also satisfied

Food and Flavour: 4/5
Service: 2.5/5
Packaging: 2/5
Value for Money: 3.5/5

Red e Drop Zone is a restaurant which mostly operates through deliveries. This place has existed for over 10 years or even more I guess (previously at TTK road). This is a quaint, quiet setup for a casual dine-in experience.

Order placed on a weekday for dinner at around 20:30. Food order was completed in about 30 minutes. And arrived hot.

Order:-
Thai Yellow curry, Prawns (280) - Small sized Prawns in a lemongrass flavoured semi-thick gravy with much redolence. Great stuff. Served with steamed long grain rice. Large portion for gravy and medium portion size for rice.

Seafood, spinach and mushroom rice (₹180) - Quality Indo-Chinese style fried rice with fresh grassy flavours from the spinach and intense after taste from the mushrooms mixed with battered Prawns and fish. Medium-large portion size.

Packaging was passable. The plastic containers were not so sturdy. Can result in gravies spilling while opening. No tissues or spoons/fork provided. Delivery guy was courteous and rendered exact change for the remaining amount.
Total bill:- ₹469/- including VAT and Service tax of ₹10.

This is my standard go to place when I need delivery and when I need variety of food. Have been ordering from rede for the past 5 6 years and have tried pretty much everything. Chilly chicken, kebabs, biryani, fried rice, dragon chicken, chicken 65,pastas,rolls,wontons,etc etc. Everything I have tried has been of great quality and pretty easy on the pocket. Barring maybe 1 or 2 average experiences the rest of the times I have ordered it has been great!keep up the good work guys!

Ordered for home deliver the day before, so this review is just based on the food that was delivered.

We ordered their,

Schezwan chicken gravy, flavour wise it was brilliant, the only thing we were concerned about was the amount of artificial colouring that was added to this dish.

The lamp bell pepper, the lamp was hot and crispy fried and tasted excellent.

Dragon chicken, this dish again tasted brilliant but these guys should tone down the amount of colour added.

Chilli garlic noodle, invariably was the star of the show! Absolutely delish!!

Nice and good place for a lunch. Tried Chinese and Biriyani at this place. Biriyani is just amazing... The non veg starters are also good. Lunch time during office gets better at this place with sumptuous dishes. Would recommend this place for an amazing get together... Quicker service for food if provided this place would be the best!

The restaurant which has survived long enough by having diverse cuisines. From Indian to Chinese to Continental, they deliver variety. Had a chance to try out their Goan food , which is served here occasionally/seasonally.

It's opposite to Dhabba express in the cenotaph road. Parking is not a problem yet gets crumpled soon.

Ambiance is pretty neat and cheeky. Has got dim lightings which don't compliment the food.
The seats are comfortable. Overall space is utilized well making way to serve around.

Had coconut rice with Gobi cafreal. Coconut rice is the staple food prodominant through the malabar and Konkan coastline. Yet, I found this coconut rice close to normal steamed rice than normal rice. The cafreal on the other hand, was good. The gravy was thick and spicy with sufficient veggies. The combination of coconut rice and cafareal seem plausible.

Service is good but dish preparation time is more, can be reduced. Prices are reasonable.

I got my lunch delivered from this place. This is one of those safe bet places you can always trust to get good food but there is nothing amazing about it. The best part is that they are multi cuisine so you don't have to settle. The kadai paneer, dal makhani and chapati meets your expectations.

They might have to add the number of portions in their online menu. I ended up ordering 8 chapatis rather than 4.

Have been to the place a couple of times. What I enjoyed most was the food! Ambiance wasn't great and the choice of music wasn't appealing. Now for the all positives bit we ordered the chicken lasagna and chicken momos. The momos were just too good that I completed two plates all by myself.  The lasagna was delicious too but could have been better. The Indian varieties are not that appealing, maybe they could do a revamp of the menu and stick to one particular cuisine. Hope to visit the place soon and have a better experience!

Overall a 4 star experience.
Ambience was nice, mind u its a very small place. Hardly i believe, it can manage 20 ppl at best..i ate in the ground floor, dont know if they have any other floors..

Though Red E Drop zone has been there since 1997, I have never really had a shot at them all these years. It just happened that on a boring Saturday evening when we were whiling away time at home when it stuck that dinner had to be eaten. A pamphlet of Red E drop zone received recently helped the cause and I thought why not give them a try.

Their cuisine ranges from North Indian, South Indian, Italian, Continental and Chinese. Was in the mood for tandoori food and hence stuck to just ordering Indian bread comprising of Phulka, Garlic Naan and Masala Kulcha and a couple of gravies in the form of Paneer Jalfreize and Dal Makhni. Placed the order pronto and they agreed to deliver within a set time of 45 minutes.

They exceeded expectations by delivering the food much quicker than the set time. From the limited options tried, it tasted more than decent enough and the quantity also was magnanimous and much sufficient. Another big positive is the rate factor. They really aren't all that expensive and quite a heavy meal for 2 can be had within a range of 500 bucks.

We do search for newer options for Home Delivery on and off and Red E having quite a sumptuous spread of options at pretty reasonable rates weighs in favorably for them. Will surely contemplate giving them a try again to have a crack at some of their other stuff.

Had never noticed this place in Teynampet, quite close to home, till one day when I was searching for Chinese food. Had seen the board in Alwarpet 5 years back when I came to Chennai but the name took me aback. Never knew it was a restaurant for a while. Shall not talk about the ambiance since I have only had door delivery from there. From that aspect their service is prompt. I have tried all the cuisines except their continental. Chinese is really good. The noodles, lollipop and the gravies are really good. Never had such good Chinese in Chennai. Their Indian food is also mindblowing. I liked their Chicken Tikka Masala, Lucknowi Murgh Khurma and also their Paneer dishes. A bit highly priced but is justified with the quality. Would appreciate if they would add more continental items like more of pastas and bakes, lasagna (as of now only 1 variant in each) and many other dishes in this genre. Even though not tried I am sure their continental stuff shall be good. Planning to do so in the near future and hope I would not have to change my review...

A small restaurant, with an accommodation of not more than 20-25 people, but the food makes up for the size. The stir fried noodles were authentic and my friend and I loved it so would highly recommend to Chinese lovers. My other friends have tasted their chicken dishes and were very satisfied with them. I also saw shawarmas being served at the other table, and it looked great, would have commented on the taste if my stomach allowed me to. But overall, if you stay nearby, it could be a must try.

And for main course ordered garlic naan and rogan josh which was decent and kolkata chicken biriyani which was not of my liking ..the quantity is also good ..I would definitely try once more for the chilli panner and andhra chicken 65 .😆

Review #2 of the same place
After the bakery haul at Ambrosia , I had to take a friend to dinner & we settled for redE simply because it was closest to home and we had a kid on board.

The place thrives on home deliveries and weekday lunch and so we were the only ones to sit down for early dinner. Their menu is simple and has a decent mix of Asian and continental food. A quick order of fries for the kid and we kicked off our meal with the jade spinach soup and some Veg Kothae( momos).

This soup is a personal favourite. I like how they bring out the flavours here. Very simple and comforting

The momos were ok ish. She didn't enjoy them a lot and neither did I as the stuffing was very bland. At 140/- this can definitely be a lot better.

I ordered veg nasi goreng for main course. Massive portion at 125/- and I liked this one a lot. I could barely eat 1/4th of it and had to box the rest. Very neatly done and a bit on the spicy side. Has generous veggies and paneer too. My Friend had another veg soup as she was nursing a cold & the chef was happy to customise. All of this with a scoop of strawberry ice cream came to 532/-

Good food and very good Portions.

------------------------------------------------------------
Cuisine : Asian/North Indian/ Continental

Food quantity : Good

Taste : Very nice

Service : Impressive

Highly Recommend : Yes

Ideal for take away too if you happen to live in the area.

Will I go back ? - Definitely Yes

Pricing - Very nominal in my opinion

After living right behind this place, I hadn’t had the right opportunity to go dine-in. I’ve received their flyers few times in the past & ordered in as well. I wanted to try something at their place before getting to review.

We walked in very late and I was mighty impressed with the Neat Seating & a huge Open Kitchen. They are a part of the Oriental Cuisines Group and I was told that the food is somewhat similar to what you would get in Cascade (as far the Asian Food goes). They have North Indian/South Indian/ Continental (Limited) and Asian food on their menu offering.

The Asian Specials "A" board on our table was quick to catch our attention. I have to say this, their service is meticulous. Someone checked in on our table from time to time for basics like Sauces and Water. Also the order in which food was plated and brought was thoroughly professional. The person who took our orders also seemed well informed of their menu and was able to answer some questions we had before placing the order.

They do not have any Tofu based dishes though. I was a little disappointed there.
As for pricing, they are very reasonably priced and their portions are pretty decent as well. All of our food for the evening was fresh and piping hot. Neat ambiance with No Frills and very good service along with good Food which was tasty as well – Sums up a good dinner experience for me. We were pressed for time and so ordered all the items at one go. They were very good in lining it up as we finished one after the other.

Jade Spinach Soup – Was mildly sweet and had very symmetrically chopped greens and panneer and some veggies. I needed some Red Chilli sauce to eat.

Veg Wontons – Regular fare. They were Crispy and tasty in every bite. They hardly showed oil trace.

My husband ordered a fish for his main course. I do not remember the name but he thoroughly enjoyed it.

As for the Veg Nasi Goreng, it wasn't very authentic for me. Lots of veggies and a sauce thrown it. The rice was more like the Jasmine Rice.

I found their schezwan sauce to be very spicy as I could barely eat the gravy that came along with my rice.

We ordered their fruits with ice cream for dessert. The fruits were very fresh but the ice cream was not that great. I am sure they are making it themselves given that they have a few other outlets too.

Improvising on the taste of their ice cream is probably the biggest feedback I have for them after my dinner. Total bill came to 1044 which is pretty decent

Red hot e zone is on Cenotaph road near HDFC. It is on the ground floor and can be easily located. I & my colleagues visited this restaurant for our customary Friday lunch after considering a few other moderately priced places. We reached there by 1 PM & were the first ones. The attendants greet you with warmth and direct you to the ideal table.

1. Parking: For 2 wheelers, there is enough space. However, once the crowd starts building 4-wheeler parking becomes an issue.

2. Ambience: It is a small place with decent seating and cooling. The servers are gentle people and respond pretty quickly.

3. Food: We ordered the following – Kulcha, Pudina paratha, Phulkas, steamed rice, Dal tadka, Chicken keema mutter, Bhindi masala & Kolkata mutton biriyani & soft drinks. The bread items were hot, soft & cooked well. Dal was delicious & so was the chicken keema. I loved the gravy!! The chicken was finely grated and was completely absorbed by the gravy which is the key for any keema preparation. The Kolkata mutton biriyani was equally tasty with tender mutton pieces. I, however, feel that the aroma wasn’t upto the mark.

4. Service: The service was good in the 1st half as the restaurant was empty. When it started filling up, the quality started to degrade. I believe they are understaffed and not equipped to handle full occupancy.

5. Price: The final bill amount inclusive of taxes was 1160/- which was 230 bucks per head & to me that’s awesome! They do not charge for service (Voluntary tipping).

According to me, it is indeed a VFM restaurant & ideal to have a quick meal.

For people working near Nandanam, especially Chamiers Road, this is one place which caters to all our desires. The first time i visited this place was one week after it opened and from then on it's always been a place for delivery options. While most of their items are good, their Nasi Goreng (egg/chicken/seafood) stands out. I have had Nasi Goreng in many places, but this tops ahead of others. In fact, that is such a hit that many of my colleagues order Nasi Goreng regularly. Their other item is the Thai Green Curry with rice. Apart from their oriental cuisines they do have other continental options too, but Red E is better off with oriental and that is one of the reasons i have given that rating. Also, their pricing is reasonable, while the portions are really good

We dropped into Red E Drop Zone on a weekday. Not the perfect ambience, but it isn't too had either.
After hearing and reading so much about the Andhra Chicken 65, we just had to try it. And it was worth every bit it's hype. Amazing flavor and very tender chicken.
For mains we ordered the Chilly Garlic Noodles and Fried Rice. They were very receptive to the various suggestions/altercations we asked them to make to the sides, the Phuket Fish and Shredded Chicken in Chilly Gravy.
This place doesn't boast of its desserts and that was quite evident in the Brownie with Ice Cream.
Nonetheless, definite value for money. A must try for the Andhra Chicken 65 Connoisseurs :D

I visited here, along with a dear friend a week back. The ambience was very pleasant. The place was desolate when we entered, which was quite expected on a weekday evening. It's a dim lit restaurant, at least that's what I perceived that evening.. Waiters were very friendly and were brimming with suggestions, which we appreciated very much. We ordered Chinese, schezwan noodles and mushroom broccoli and baby corn in a mellow sauce, as was suggested by our waiter to be a sumptuous combo with the spicy noodles. For starters we order their veg Kothe dim sums. It was so perfect, so soft, with the right tinge of ginger and garlic ah... we just had to order another round. For dessert we were left a little unimpressed with what they had to offer, but we were craving a sweet finish to the meal so we ended up ordering a brownie with ice cream. Not much can go wrong there and it didn't. It was quite nice. Coming to the cost factor, very affordable I must say, it costed us 580 for 2. I was quite happy with the overall experience and would definitely recommend that you drop in here for a very affordable and pleasant meal experience.

I have actually never been to this place but have ordered for home delivery on many occasions,

The restaurant is a host to multicusine variety of food including indian, Italian, thai, goan, and my favourate chinese.

The home delivery takes about 40 - 45 minutes but rest assured that the food is well packed in strong boxes and not in cheap foil bags. And is hot when it reaches you..
The items that I liked are: (indian) garlic naan (all the naan are well done), veg biryani. (Chinese) Veg ball manchurian dry, eight treasure hot pot.

The pricing is decent and the quality of the food is very good.
(Best time to try the place is when you are at home and want to eat good food but your too lazy to go out. )?

Mum packed food ... Tiger rice (tamarind rice) mum seem to have had a bad day ... Tamarind less and chilli powder more.. ? which eventually became double chilli rice ! Realised all this at about 1:45pm during lunch and wondering what to eat ... ?

That's when Red e Drop Zone struck my mind ! They are fast, tasty and quick. I've ordered earlier from them .. But somehow forgot to write a review.. So this time I made sure I click the photos and write the review!

Was ordering lunch for just myself! So just ordered
1 portion of Veg Garlic Noodles
1 portion of Chilli Garlic Potato

The portion is very much sufficient for one! But still I couldn't finish ?

I must say the order was delivered in 45mins and was served hot? the noodle was perfectly cooked and very well seasoned .. Exactly the way I would wish to eat. And the chilli garlic potato was yummm! Perfectly seasoned with right amount of chilli and salt! The combination of both was great and totally relished my meal!

Overall a very satisfying meal and VFM because of the quantity served!!!! They charged me like 270 AI !

Would definitely consider for my future lunch or dinner meals and would also recommend to people who are looking for good Chinese food and pocket friendly!

Went past this place so many times but never thought it was even an restaurant. It is like 2 kms from my place. Read a lot of good reviews about this place after I stumbled upon it on Zomato. On a Sunday afternoon while trying to zero in on a place which was ok with my family for lunch, we got pretty late. So in the end I dragged them to Red E Drop Zone which is closer. We were taken aback that the place was completely empty. No other customer apart from us. My mom was under the impression its because the place is not good. Had to convince her for a few mins and finally she relented.

Ambiance is very interesting to say the least. Brick finished walls and a totally quirky roof keeps makes you take notice of this place once you enter. Menu seemed to be very diverse. I ordered a Sweet Corn Veg for my mom and Cousin while I and my sister ordered the Lung Fung Chicken Soup. Both the soups were pretty good. So with relief I moved onto starters.

Read great things about their Andhra Chicken 65 and decided to try it out along with Spicy Cauliflower. Andhra Chicken was truly exceptional. Very tender, juicy and spicy. Loved it to the core. Spicy Cauliflower was rather crispy instead of being spicy. Not spicy one bit.

Since my sister made me eat about 70% of the Chicken 65, I was kinda full but still wanted to try out their lasagna, so asked for the Chicken one. My sisters ordered some breads and Mushroom Tikka Masala. My Lasagna arrived in a while and it was quite a sight. Looked too good and tasted even better. Had a lot of stuffing and pieces of chicken instead of shredded. Was a very tasty filling dish. Tried a bit of the Mushroom gravy as I am a sucker for Mushroom. They had huge pieces of mushroom in the gray. Tasted pretty good as well. Finished off the sumptuous meal with a Kulfi. It was served in a pot and was pretty good.

Service was pretty good. Dishes were made in pretty quick time. I felt very bad that a place this good is being ignored by the masses while they flock to over priced and average places. Restaurants like these which are pretty good and charge economically needs to be appreciated and visited more often.

I will try to drop in very soon with more friends. Bill was 1235 for 4 of us with tax of 7%. Very impressed with them. Kudos !

Been here with my friend. I wonder why it took me so much time to identify this place. Going by its name i used to consider this place as some electronics shop. This is a really small place, open kitchen, with not so comfortable tables but really nice food and service. I have been here twice on the same day (lunch and dinner). Tried almost every veg item as i was accompanied by vegetarians. All of them were decent. Portions they serve are really good. Unlike in other restaurants, here if you are ordering to much food , the waiters will let you know. Out of all the items i have ordered, i liked the chilly panner more.

The visit to red e drop zone was long overdue as it is a stone throw away from my workplace. So made lunch plans with my colleagues and landed there one afternoon. The place is small & inviting and pleasing on the eye, (the see through kitchen is always a welcome sight ).The menu had a collection of Indian, Chinese & Italian dishes on offer.Being the only vegetarian in the group that day,I played it safe and went for the lunch combo. The combo had hot & sour soup, 3 side dishes (1 dal, gobi masala & mix veg),plain naan, onion pulav, 2 pieces of paneer kebab as starter and shahi tukda as dessert. The soup was nice and spicy (loads of crushed black pepper) and worked up an appetite. The combo arrived neatly arranged in a plate, the paneer kebabs were way too small, however not bad in taste. The plain naan was soft and served hot, which went well with the gobi masala. Both the mix vegetable and gobi masala had the same gravy base, which was a bit of a disappointment. Yellow dal was nice and rightly spiced. The onion pulav, I felt was too oily. Shahi tukda was delicious, but like the paneer kebabs was way too small in size. All in all taste wise it was a mixed bag with nothing really to rave about. The combo is priced at INR 200 exclusive taxes which I felt was reasonable considering the location. Service during our meal was spot on, hence no complaints. I felt it would further improve the dining experience if finger bowls are provided at the end of the meal, as the restaurant is serving indian fare as well.

It was a Saturday evening with a search of Chinese food. We zomatoed this place.

We thought parking a car would be problem. Since it was a Saturday night. We couldn't comment and also very little crowd in hotel.

Kitchen view in the hotel is looking good. Ambience can be improved. As the person taking the knowledge of the menu and available dishes are very less.

Food was good. Chiken friend rice and shredded chicken was our order and it filled our stomach.

Good for people who want to have fast food in quick time with a slightly better ambience.

A brief personal note about this place- Some places retain a value through the relationships they build. It's the core of anything in life be it business, friendship, entertainment, spiritual places endless list. Core value should never be diluted.

Red e drop zone is one such entity. We( me and my wife) were regular loyal customers of Red e food court in chetpet. Our all time favourites for home delivery would be Chicken tikka with mint chutney, chilly chicken dry, mixed schezwan fried rice. Almost twice a month we used to order. This was way back in 2004 when only few places had home delivery concept. Suddenly chetpet outlet closed and reopened only for delivery but we somehow never got back to them.
After many years I saw the board in alwarpet area but never had the same feeling like in chetpet.
Few months back I saw this bright red board from cenotaph bridge Red e Drop Zone. Immediately I browsed through zomato to reconfirm if its the same old place. :-) it was the same and I shared the news with my wife who also wanted to revisit our favourite place again. Since it is multicuisine as always and alacarte I felt I can try out only if she accompanied. The D day was fixed as 9/8/14 lunch.
Nice to get a car parking maybe it was a Sunday.

AMBIENCE- Small place with well spread out tables. Got a 2 seater table. My wife chose the chair I love the sofa for comfort. Nice cozy seating. Simple interiors with two antique ceiling fans madras roofing styled ceiling. Overall nice interior. Only drawback was huge glass window reflecting sunlight onto the face. ( 4/5)

FOOD- The management for this and Chinese chain cascade is the same so my wife was bent on Chinese.
After reading lot of rave reviews about Andhra chicken 65 I was rooted for this.
Soup- Chicken clear soup- Simple nice clear soup.
Starters- Chilly fish- Nicely cooked fish with the correct amount of oil. Nice taste.
Andhra chicken 65- Well marinated, nicely cooked chicken in various spices in andhra style. Nice aroma of ginger seasoned with curry leaves, onion rings and carrot toppings. Tinge of tanginess complimented the high spice level due to green chillies. My wife doesn't like too spicy food so she was apprehensive but without the spiciness the dish will miss its mark. Excellent taste good quantity of dish was served.
Fish&Chips - This was my choice. Very well cooked fish was melting in the mouth. French fries though in very small quantities was fresh. Mayonnaise sauce was also fresh. Good taste.
Main Course-
We were almost full so we decided to go with Indian breads and veg gravy.
Plain naan- wife's choice quite big naans looked soft and fresh. She said it was nice.
Pudina paratha- my choice. Not so great too much ghee on top tad hard.
Paneer Butter Masala- Very well cooked juicy paneer that melted in the mouth. Gravy was bit tangy maybe due to more tomatoes. Otherwise it was good in taste.
Dessert- I wanted to try the kulfi but was told it was matka kulfi so I opted for milkshake.
Strawberry milkshake with ice cream. I saw a tall glass going to another table. We were already full but wanted to end with a nice ice cream. I requested for 1 by 2 the person who took the milkshake order said ice cream I can't put in both glasses to which I said ok.
Surprisingly the same person served both the divided milkshakes with strawberry ice cream in each glass. Nice end to a revival culinary journey. Overall (3.5/5)

COST- All this for 1160 definitely worth the money.(4/5).

SERVICE- No matter how big a brand or how good the food is if the service is not on par everything goes waste.
Red e Drop Zone service is excellent. Special mention of Mr.Giri ( photo attached) the person who took our orders except for milkshake. He was so calm, soft spoken not audible to the next table, polite and very obliging. We reworked our order few times but he never got irritated or made a fuss. Truly smiling service. He was adequately supported by the other two waiters ( photo attached). There was absolutely no noise from the staff in the entire 2 hours very coordinated service. My wife was telling me that the chef in the kitchen was enjoying the cooking always smiling and pleasant. See through kitchen. Overall service (5/5)
Thanks Red e Drop Zone for reviving our culinary journey keep up the good service.

Note to diners- When you drive by the side of cenotaph bridge from mount road and take a U turn under the bridge the restaurant is on the right side. So if you are not alert you miss the place you got to go all the way to cenotaph signal end and take a U turn again.

After reading all the reviews in zomato me and my brother decided to go to this place....
I was rather surprised to see that the place was totally empty but for the 2 of us on a Saturday night at 8 pm...

The ambiance was nice with cool photos on the walls and a see through kitchen ...

We weren't that hungry so we decided to go for a light dinner .
Now talking about the food !:

Vegetable garlic soup:
The clear broth was so good ! with the garlic flavor and along with the veggies is was just great!!

Andhra chicken 65:
This was why we decided to go here .... seeing the rave reviews about this dish on zomato....
Looks wise it was very close to the native one ! ...
On tasting it was good but even though the chicken was cooked well , the spices weren't well cooked and hence , we observed the taste of raw spice on the chicken.... nevertheless it s one of the places to go to (in Chennai) if you want to have the original Andhra chicken 65.

Veg ginger and garlic fried rice & chilli paneer gravy:
Both were good , the quantity will serve 2 people ... so don't over order!

On the whole its a good place to go to !!

Ambiance :
3.5/5 - elegant and simple ... a suggestion would be to make the fans functional ! they look good but they don't serve the purpose !

Food :
3.5/5 - overall a good experience

Service :
3/5 - Service can be improved ... the person who served us did not have much knowledge on the menu and while serving, had what i call "butter fingers" ... better service would do so much good !

Value for money :
3.5/5 - quite nominal price wise !!

Cheers!!

Awesome Service. I have always orders home delivery from RedeDrop Zone and loved it. They are very clearer if they see a delay in delivery they will inform when u call to order and also post taking order they will call back and inform if they have any problems. Food is great both quality and Quantity. They track customers just like KFC or Dominos. When i call in the order collection staff ask me which address they need to deliver as they have 2 know address listed for me. That was cool to let you customers know we remember you. I recommend the kababs and north indian non-veg. I love there tikka biryani and kababs. And also there bindi Masala in veg. Must try if near Nandanam or near the outlet.

Red E Drop Zone - From the house of Cascade Kitchen serves Indian , Continental and Chinese food . Located just opposite to Dhaba Express in Chamiers road . It's a small outlet with some good decor and different ceilings. They serve some delicious chicken starters like Andra chicken 65 & Tandoori Chicken . Andra chicken 65 is a must try there.
Tandoori Chicken - Cooked to perfection. Had the right combination of flavour and juiciness . It tasted so great!
Kolkata biryani - Nothing so different . Just an usual vegetable biryani but it tasted good!
Chicken Lasagne - Only baked pasta lovers should opt for this! Lovely chunks of chicken underneath a sheet of cheese with olives . It was delicious indeed .
Chicken Penne with Arabiata sauce - The pasta had some great flavours and looked like an authentic recipie .
Ratings : Food - 4/5 , Ambience - 4/5 , Service - 4.5/5 , VFM - 4

Really good food. Starters were top notch. Food served at Dine-in and delivery both were of the same caliber. Very reasonably priced and very good quantity. Must visit.

I have a little wavering mind, the actual plan was to visit Dhabba express, cenotaph road for our lunch, while waiting for my friends, I saw a bright board of RED E DROP ZONE in my opposite side, Suddenly I got flashes of Andhra chicken 65 and GI Joe collections. So we stepped in to REDZ!!

PARKING: Available, But you must be lucky enough to get space to park your vehicle :(

AMBIANCE: Simple decors, attractive false ceiling, black granite tables, transparent chairs, brick finished walls with Ansel Adams B/W photographs and soft music completes its atmos.

MENU: Menus are neatly coined as per Indians taste and flavors. They do serve limited menus in Continental, Chinese and Thai.

Jade spinach soup( 3.5/5) : I though it gonna have some delicious flavors of spinach, But jade tasted like thick sweet corn soup mixed with finely chopped spinach in it. No complaint about sweet corn soup qualities.

Paneer tikka (2/5) : OK, not cooked properly, It was just like marinated paneer served on our plate and veggies were crispy and juicy.

Spaghetti in creamy tomato basil sauce (4/5) : It had an appetizing orange color of tomato mixed with cream, Spaghetti had a good meld with tomato tanginess and basil's taste.Lovely item to savor!!

Mushroom broccoli lasagne (3/5): Layers were not proper made, all the layers got mixed up and sauces were little watery too. When it was served on the plate, sauces just started flow off.

Chocolate mousse(4/5): It was so creamy and chocolaty... Lovely

This has been my regular restaurant for some quick and easy access to great food at good prices; since 2011. Home delivery is always timely, never more than 45 min. This is a real restaurant, not a QSR that others have become. These guys almost never falter with the basic ingredients, no compromise seems to be the mantra. Every single friend and recently my wife also supports the good work the team here does. Certainly, better than their compadres at Cascade Chinese Kitchen.

Mondays… Ugh… Don’t you just hate them? Don’t you wish Mondays never existed? Well not Monday per se, but the weekday morning blues that accompanies it? But once in a while you do find that your Monday isn’t so bad – no important mails to reply, no urgent client calls to make, no deadlines to tackle, no team members to chaperon, giving me all the freedom in the world to fritter away my time without guilt. Last Monday was one such day with the piece de resistance being a phone call from my friend and colleague who didn’t bring his lunch that day, asking whether I’m game for lunch outside. Oh yes, Mondays don’t get any better than this…

But it was not without its problems; having an office well within city limits presents a tiny issue – too many choices, that too with unlimited time in our hands (please pardon the humblebrag). We spent nearly 30 minutes discussing where we can possibly have lunch, a particularly foodie problem this; with the nearby localities being Adyar and Besant Nagar, my friend began suggesting places like Crimson Chakra, Azzuri Bay, Sigree, Animal Kingdom, etc. But those were restaurants one visits on occasion or during an occasion, not for an impromptu lunch. So after much deliberation, with no clear resolution whatsoever, we simply decided to drive, drive until we find any place that catches our fancy.

Our aimless driving brought us all the way to Cenotaph Road where I noticed Red e Drop Zone; in the past I do remembered noticing one of their outlets near Chetpet signal, but I never bothered to give them a second glance. All that used to resonate in my mind was, "Hmm... What an oddly named restaurant!!", and that was the same thought that pervaded when I saw this outlet too; but this time I was determined to check it out, especially after reading a glimmering review for the same place right here in Zomato by another fellow reviewer.

The moment you step in, you're greeted by an amazingly chic ambience, the seating capacity is only at a dozen tables, but it is this very cool and compact feel that immediately impresses you! The restaurant has glass on three sides, two facing the road and the other facing the kitchen where you see the chefs hard at work. This decidedly airy, naturally lit atmosphere provides a sense of spaciousness to what is actually a tiny restaurant. Other touches which I simply adored were the clear plastic chairs (much much cooler than they sound), the exposed brick wall with the solitary Ansel Adams' black-and-white landscape photograph of "The Tetons and the Snake River" (an exceptionally haunting work of art), the numerous parallel wooden boards suspended from the ceiling and the ornamental ceiling fans, all lending such a charm to this place; you really have to see it to believe it!

I took the recommendation of the fellow reviewer I mentioned earlier and ordered the Andhra Chicken 65, followed by the Non-Veg Combo meal for my friend and a Chicken Club Sandwich for myself. Now please bear with me while I sing praises about the Andhra Chicken 65. Never in a million years have I ever thought that the Chicken 65 could get any better; a much loved, signature Chennai starter that you never seem to get enough of, the Chicken 65 has become such a staple entree that it's a clear indicator, a tool of measurement of a restaurant's potential. This is where Red e Drop Zone (still a ridiculous name in my humble opinion) excels, miles above any other place I have tried the Chicken 65; they've given a properly zesty, super-spicy, masala-drenched twist to the ever-awesome Chicken 65!! A must have specialty here by all means, never forget to try the Andhra Chicken 65 here, it is just sheer-spicy-awesomeness. And it literally made every crevice in our face water, coupled with this awesome December weather, things simply couldn't get any better.

Still reeling from the effect of the Andhra Chicken 65, we were presented with our main courses. The waiters made a small gaff here and brought my friend the Veg Combo instead of the Non-Veg Combo. But we didn't make a big deal out of it and my friend proceeded to have the Veg Combo without any qualms. Mainly because we got our non-vegetarian fix of the day in the form of the Andhra Chicken 65. The combo consisted of a Manchow soup, Gobi 65, Peas Pulao, Phulka, Dry Aloo Mutter, Vegetable Kurma, Dal Palak, Dal Payasam and the usual accompaniments. For Rs. 200, you might feel that it is slightly overpriced, but the quality and the sumptuousness of the food makes up for it.

I ordered the Chicken Club Sandwich with the view of having a decidedly moderate main course, since I still had my home-packed lunch to finish back in the office, but the Club Sandwich had other ideas. I expected the Club Sandwich to be big, but this was humongous. So humongous in fact that it was one of those sandwiches that wouldn't balance itself without being pierced by a supporting toothpick. But instead of toothpicks they were pierced by a tiny plastic sword-like thingy and that overjoyed the 8-year old in me (I mean it, if I were actually 8-years old, I would've pocketed those plastic swords to use them as new weapons for my GI Joe collection!!). Coming to the Club Sandwich, it was the pretty much the usual, filled with veggies, cheese slices, fried eggs, but instead of a chicken slice, they served it with a minced-chicken & mayo filing. All this also came with a generous side of French fries and that sealed it for me, what an inadvertently heavy lunch!

To sum it up, Red e Drop Zone is a proper gem of restaurant, they offer a variety of cuisines, the pricing is also quite pocket-friendly and we were pleasantly surprised by our bill amount. The service was really courteous, although they did goof-up our order a little, it's still forgivable, they're a new restaurant with relatively new staff, so it might just be a one-off incident. There's really no reason not to visit this place overall, the ambience, the food, the cost, the locality, everything is pleasant and well within reach. And the Andhra Chicken 65... Ooh, the Andhra Chicken 65!!...

I topped among those who were upset seeing Red e Zone on TTK closed! Because, just a week before I saw the shutters down, I almost stepped in to have a quick meal, but stopped myself as the small place was filled with people. I so didn’t want to believe that it was shut down because this was one cute little food joint that served awesome food – Indian, Continental & Chinese. The few times I had been there, food was excellent! So, almost twice a week when I passed by TTK road, I would look into this place hoping it would be open!

It was on one such evening, that I noticed this small white paper stuck on the shutter. I had to shrink my eyes to read “Opening soon on Chamiers Road”. :) And from then, I passed by Chamiers Road, waiting to enter! :D

And, now am glad to be the first one to review about the whole new Red e Zone – a restaurant that has become lovelier by all means!

Very eager to satisfy my long craving taste buds, I went here with my husband on a weekday for dinner. And, the first step in, it was wow! What a lovely transformation it has been - from a simple, small and cramped joint to a more spacious & aesthetically designed place! The seating is extremely comfortable; the place is rightfully lit; the very artful ceiling with suspended wooden members slowly swaying to some subtle & not too loud traditional Japanese instrumental music on the speakers - Everything was SO PERFECT about the ambience!

We were welcomed by the very courteous staff and were seated at a cozy corner. Even before we were given the menu, I had to only ask “Is it the same menu? And is it the same chef?” When the reply was YES to both, I was GLAD! :)

And when my husband asked what I wanted…. I said “I want the Andhra Chicken 65 & Chicken Lasagne. Anything else can happen before, in the middle or after these two!” :D So apart from these, we placed an order for Sweet Corn Chicken Soup & Phuket Fish.

- Sweet Corn Chicken Soup: Great with chunks of well cooked chicken!
- Phuket fish: Fish fillet cooked in Schezwan sauce; tasted good!
- Andhra Chicken 65: A must have at this place! It’s not the usual deep fried dish, but the coarsely ground spicy masala topped with green chillies and onions make it SUPERLICIOUS!
- Chicken Lasagne: Delicious! Loved the chunks of chicken, cheese and olives!

Service has bettered by many times! The restaurant manager was extremely friendly, very interactive and made sure the orders came on time. Prices are more or less the same as before. The great service, ambience and delicious food make this restaurant FANTASTIC!

Cheers to Red e Zone!!!
