Very authentic Mexican food at very affordable price. Friendly staff and prompt service. Worth revisiting.
An awesome place to Dine. Every ingredients in the food is prepared fresh after the order, even cutting of veggies. One of the awesome Salsa I've ever had, where they use fresh lime juice for soaking instead of vinegar. And the owner Mr.Basker takes special care of each customer. Nd they r opening a new branch, don't miss out guys. Happy fooding.

Good service at an economical price . The owner is really friendly and courteous. The food is quite good, i liked the combos they offer , which are quite economical and filling. Tried the potato on a stick(spiral potato) which was well fried. They also have cold stone ice cream in which i tried the litchi flavour which was much sweet. The mojito also was quite good. Also they'll write your name on the dish which is quite creative and delightful .Overall a value for money place with good combos and food to offer .
Nice place for a simple mexican food. Had their shrimp combo. Mocktail could have been slightly better. Quesadilla was nice. Service was good and ambience was ok considering the space limitation.

It's been Six months since I had Mexican food... When I thought of having Mexican food.. I can remember only one place that Mexicana food @omr food court.. So Again Today I have placed my order.. Really I went back to the memories when I first had my Mexican food with my sister family at your Mexicana center... The same taste and the spicyness how ever i like and want to be... They did catering for my birthday party . It was an amazing and memorable birthday . The food was made quickly and the taste was excellent . The best part is they personalised the food by asking our spice level and they write write your name on the food tooโบ๏ธ . The nachos were out of this world crispy and yummy . To me the tacos were the best I have tasted tacos in many places but this was the best . Should mention the fresh and yummy mocktail mojito and even the fish fingers which I had in their restaurant was too good must visit that place dude I even appreciate the cool Mexican decor . Authentic Mexican food which is delicious beyond measure. Their tacos and burritos are my favourite. The service is fast. Although the space is small, it has a good feel to it.
Great food. We have been here thrice and have ordered the combos. The icecream here is quite different. Ask for the fresh fruit spicy guava icecream(Yes spicy icecream).
One of the best places to have good Mexican food. The meal combo is value for money. For 260, you get 3 items and that's a steal.
I'd strongly recommend against geting the food delivered. I ordered once and the experience wasn't great. The taste wasn't good, packing average. Instead visit the outlet. It has a great decor, the staff are courteous and you can even get your name written on your burrito! ๐

Mexican Food is something you won't be able to find everywhere in Chennai. There are only a very few restaurants and cafes in Chennai which serve authentic Mexican Food and this is one if this places. They also have an amazing combo which consists of a taco, burrito (both with your own meat choice), Cold stone Ice cream and a mojito. And the best part? All at just Rs. 260/- You should surely try this place for it's great food and amazing Mexican themed ambience. ๐
A very small but good restaurant you will find in OMR food street, Navalur. No difficulty in locating it.
We went for cheese taco ๐ฎ , veg burrito , go green (drink) and virgin mojito. The taste was superb. You will feel every bit of your food. Special mention for cheese taco ๐ฎ.
Will surely visit again.

I have seen this place many times but haven't tried it yet. Today we decided to try this joint as we were craving some Mexican food.
A small joint with woody interior and pleasant welcoming manager. Its neat and has a very pleasant ambience.
We ordered Nachos with Cheese, Chicken Taco and Chicken Quesedilla platter with four pieces, a virgin mojito and Go Green which was a mix of green apple and kiwi.
Everything was tasting awesome and was very fresh as well. The Taco was perfectly crispy to the out and had good filling inside. Quesedilla was amazing and a must try.
I wanted to try their desert the swirl ice cream as well but our tummy's were filled by then. Ill go back again for trying burrito and the desert.
Recommending for any one who want to try Mexican delicacy. Giving a five star for a joint for the first time.
Best place to eat mexican food in chennai. They make fresh taco which is soo yumm and fresh fruit ice cream. Staff is very polite and even write your name on taco. This place is a must visit in omr for mexican food lovers.

Given that there are no dedicated mexican joints in. the vicinity, I give this a 5/5. The offerings are limited and of the mexican book as expected. But this doesn't limit the quality or the taste. If you order online, you might not get to customise your meal, which you can, if you dine-in. Mention the sauces and toppings of ur choice and they will have a custom made offering ready for you in minutes. Be it Sirarcha, Guacamole, Chipotle, Peri Peri or Jalapeno. The pricing is proportionate to the meal size and well justified ! Recommended Eats : Chicken Taco ๐ฎ and Fish Quesadillas...

We ordered a combo and misconstrued an OR as an AND and ended up demanding the other item too pretty nonchalantly. What's more, the perfect host explained us the mistake and cooked it right up in front of us to cover for all the embarrassment from the misunderstanding. Even though the food was just average, i would definitely recommend this place for the amazing hospitality.
P.S. we paid for the item that wasn't originally included in the combo even though the host kept declining the payment. You hardly come across places like this.

The tacos was amazing and it has exactly got that Mexican touch in it. The outside crispy part goes well with that yum part inside.
The quesadilla were new to us but it was also good. And got roll over strawberry ice cream as a dessert. It's too good.

Authentic Mexican food. Really good options at economical rates. Loved it. Chicken Quesadillas were a treat and the ice cream was smooth and delicious. Looking forward to revisit some time soon.

Tacos, Burrito, Quesadilla all are great here . The Chicken version of these versions are great value for money. The shrimp versions are just okay. The shrimp are chewy (kind of rubbery) as they are overcooked (shrimp are very delicate food even slight change can make it less cooked to overcooked) just like most other restaurants.

So i happened to head to OMR Food Street at Navalur and found this place at random. Due to some crappy past experiences,i make it a point to always check for reviews about a restaurant on zomato before i enter it.So i did the same with Mexicana. The reviews were great and so i thought,why not.
And no surprises there,great experience!
1. The Ambience: Loved the whole wooden theme setup that they offered,much like how fast food needs to be served. A kind Gentleman named Kishore greeted me cheerfully and we got into some good conversation (Judging from my review you could probably tell how much i love talking).
2. The food : Loved the food. Kishore carefully explained to me how every single ingredient (from the sauces to the tortillas to the nachos) is made from scratch and under a clean environment. I tried their burrito and Banana ice cream,both were yummy
To sum it up , i love finding fault in people cause im human and Darwinโs evolution and all that but i couldnt find any at Mexicana :( im sad.
Everybody go give Mexicana a try! Surprisingly Good Mexican food.

Tried the veg meal with Tacos, Quasedilla and ice cream. Also had the swirly potato. All were good, taco was exceptional. Value for money. Owner is helpful and keeps checking for feedback.

This place has one of the best Mexican food in Chennai. Most of the places in Chennai don't know how to cook Mexican food properly, this place is an exception. Although it's not the best Mexican food there is ... It is good nevertheless. Also, ice cream rolls! Which are amazing btw. Service and ambience are on point .

We ordered nachos with cheese, veg tacos, paneer quasedilla and swirl ice cream. All the items were too good. The service was good and the presentation was cool. At first we were suprised why they asked for our names, but we were delighted to see our names writtten in mayonaisse. ๐๐๐
Ambience was also good.
The bill was around 360 bucks.
Worth every penny. ๐ฏ

Have been to Mexicana quite a few times..had almost forgotten to pen down a review.
Location: OMR Food Street, just before Navallur Signal, next to Vivira Mall / AGS Cinemas. Its a bustling location, especially during evenings, and so, budget some time to find parking.
Ambience: Decent, pleasant..since this is an outlet on the Food Street, its not too big or fancy.
Food: They've got it right in the most important aspect - this place has amazing nachos - crisp & light , whether you love it with cheese or salsa..its a good starter that sets the mood for some amazing tacos, burritos and quesadilla. Vegetarians will find the paneer varieties great. The drinks are very light on the pocket and goes great with the food. For the super hungry days, the combo options work perfectly. Finish it off with some good ice-creams. They have the ice-creams in some good flavors (chiku, guava, mix fruit, orange etc) and its not overtly sweet.
Overall, if you are craving Mexican - this is surely the place to go to..you will not regret!

A place with a jolly and friendly staff. Interior is very nice. From elegant way of serving to coolness of preparing of ice cream rolls and overall various choice of bites... after all an awesome place to hangout with friends.
A perfect blend of deliciously authentic Mexican food, good ambiance and 100% customer satisfaction.
Will definitely recommend everyone to visit with friends, family or even alone and have a time of their lives! :)

What can I say about this place! This place serves amazing mexican food, tacos , burritos, nachos , etc! We went there as a group to celebrate birthday party and it was one of the best celebration!
Mexican crusine is my all time favorite. More than food there is thing called bonding. Bonding their management have with customers .They are perfect in that.
Coming to the hygiene it's one of the best. The quality of food is really nice. Less oil ,low fat everything is perfect
NACCHOS , BURRITOS , SALSA , FRESH FRUITS ICE CREAM , GREEN APPLE DRINK is my all time happy meal .

Tried Mexican food for the first time and instantly looked. Burritos and tacos, both were very tasty and leave you wanting more. To top it all, the ice cream they make and their combinations are wonderful.

The OMR food street is foodie'paradise. Needless to say, Mexicana Food offers Mexican Cuisine. But what is important that the foods are amazing and they also have a range of pan frosted rolled ice cream. The service is very good. They'll write your name on the top of your food with eggless mayonnaise and this is what I found very cute. They offered extra guacamole when asked! ๐

3. Chicken Burrito.
4. Fish Quesadilla.
We expected more cheese on nachos. ๐

I went for the chicken combo, and it was the right amount, appetising and very pocket friendly. Served with a drink of your choice and stone cold ice-cream cream roll.
A nice place for the weary travellers, but yes little tight for a big family to sit together for a meal.

If you think you'd probably not find a decent mexican restaurant in a not so happening place as Navallur, this restaurant will surprise you. Very good food with very decent prices. And the service is great too, with a warm staff. I mostly order, and Mr Bashkaran takes care of the order, at times delivering personally if it's raining heavily. Hope they add enchiladas sometime on their menu too :D.
It's a small restraunt in OMR food street with a nice interior and amazing ambience. One can different types of tacos and nachos. It's economical and they provide a really good service. They wrote my name on the taco I ordered. Worth a visit!

Recently I came over here, well this is place in OMR food street has really kick started the spicy feel inside me. It's a small place where maximum 15-18 people can dine at once. I had come here with a couple of my friends for dinner and I had a great time.
To start with I had a Chicken Taco, I have never had tacos before and my friend suggested me to have one, so I thought why don't I give it a try. The taco, if I had a good memory, it was wrapped inside a Tortilla in a semi-circle shape. Inside the chicken was cooked and shredded into tiny pieces along with a lot of veggies. They added tasty sauces and on top of the taco out names were written with Mayo and it tasted amazing. I really loved it, crunchy on the outside and meaty inside. It was really good.
After eating the taco, I was still hungry, so I wanted to try something else, scanning through the menu card, I came across this square kind of sandwich. It was called "Quesadilla", so I ordered Paneer Quesadilla. It was basically shredded cooked paneer with veggies, spicy sauces and cheese between bread and grilled, with our names again written with Mayo. It also tasted really good, I really liked it.
Last but not the least I wanted something to drink and a small dessert to finish it off. I ordered a Go Green, ps- that was its name of the drink and for the dessert I ordered a chocolate ice cream. It was a nice way to end a beautiful day. I had a lot of fun with my friends!!!!! It is a must visit place in OMR Food Street.
