I was very hungry and I looked at my watch it read 1'o clock. Ah it's lunch time! Soon, looked for what to order at Zomato. Just for 99 Rs Zomato offered me with three boneless chicken piece, one leg piece, one egg and fabulous chicken briyani. On top of it, I received less than 15 mins of estimated time. Can't ask for more. Trust me. Taste of Minar Briyani is unique. Must try! #foodie #minar #briyani
The Mutton Noodles and Egg Masala was very tasty. I love them. There is some pricing error on the online order menu such as egg section. So please modify.
Ordered during lunch. The delivery was fast enough . Food was packed in a container with the Logo of the restaurant and carried in a bio degaradable polybag. I ordered for a mutton Biryani which was served with onion raita and Baingan Saalan.
Trust me I never liked the Saalan served with biryanis anywer and I used to avoid it . It just smells and tastes a bit awkward to me but this time I just tried to see if it tastes different or the same and to my surprise it was really different and awsum in taste too. I had the entire Saalan and wanted more π€©π€©π€©π€©π€©

First impression is the best impression is a saying. Minar biriyani proved it. I'm impressed with their hospitality. I ordered prawns fried rice, chicken tikka, chicken clear soup. Every dishes tasted well. Quality and quantity wise it's good. Only issue I faced with chicken clear soup is there are very less no. of chicken pieces. Kindly have a note. Overall I'm satisfied.
Been here for more than 15 years. Used to be a regular visitor when I stayed close by. Nothing much has changed now. Taste quality quantity all remains good. They have the special kutti mutton samosa.Still special as ever but with very little mutton stuffing compared to earlier.

This is a very old brand and one time a good demand for their Biryani , especially the packet ones . The original place I believe was behind YesYes Supermarket in Annanagar many years back . However now I think they have moved , anyways ordered it online .
Coming to the food the Biryani was very tasteful and good quantity for a person with a nice big piece of chicken and a boiled egg . Loved the taste except for the brinjal Bharatha that was not great and ruined the complete menu . But who cares when you have tasty Biryani around . Thatβs the reason I am giving 4 stars knocking off the 1 for the Brinjal.
Packing was very neat and comes with a microwave bowl . I would recommend this place for Biryani since they have been legends and hopefully continue the good quality of Biryani .

Ordered the mutton biryani, and it was excellent. The rice was fluffy and mildly spiced and the mutton pieces were succulent and soft. The delivery was very prompt and the food reached me piping hot.
I ordered chicken roll 22rs each it tastes amazing chicken roll ever and mutton samsosa needs some extra filling but it's also good , Kathi rolls will be good I hope.

My family and I have been a fan of this place for the past 15 years. We started with simply ordering once for a birthday party and we loved the taste of the biriyani which has never once changed till today. Every single function at my house is never complete without the mutton biriyani from this place. There are a lot of beautiful memories that came with the food from this place. Best place to give party orders. Their chicken 65 and chicken gravy are a must try.

Location & Ambience: I just know that it is located near Billroth hospital at shenoy nagar. As it is a home-delivery I donβt get the privilege to comment about the ambience but having a glimpse at the pictures I was a bit skeptical about dining there and that was the sole reason for home-delivery. So the home-delivery works like this: we got the number and called them to enquire about delivery, they were happy to deliver to my locality with a minimum order of Rs.200 INR and an additional delivery charge of Rs.50 INR.
The food was delivered on-time as promised (a five minute delay didnβt really matter) and the packing was good without any spillage.
Taste & Variety: A carnivores palace with biriyani, tandoor and lots of grilled delights. So the order was Khuska and Chicken Kottu Parotta. The portion of the biriyani is just perfect for one hungry person; the biriyani is definitely good and tasted alright but the intense of flavours from the spices or masala was missing in the biriyani. Though the biriyani was good I was totally unhappy with the brinjal curry as that had a pinch of sweetness. Also the major culprit was Chicken Kottu Parotta, it was one of the best I have had in recent times. As the pepperβs essence hits your throat, the crispy and soft parotta along with the juicy pieces of chicken and egg were tickling my taste-buds with happiness. The aromatic blend of spices, the crunchy sauteed onions and the heat from green chillies made the kottu parotta THE dish of the day. A must try if at all you check this place out. The only complaint shall be the raitha - not the taste but they should have provided at extra packet for the parotta.
Quality & Quantity: The portion was just right for two of us. In terms of flavour they have impressed so a thumbs up for the food quality.
Price: The above two dishes cost Rs.220 INR and with the addition of delivery charge it was Rs.270 INR, it is reasonable and worth a try for the portion and taste.
If you are in or around the locality and looking out for a new place to try and explore biriyani then this place is worth a visit.
The best takeaway Biryani one can find around Anna Nagar area. This has been on my menu whenever we have a family get together at home. Has never gone wrong ... It's mild and is never oozing with masala and oil. Has a good amount of mutton pieces and tastes just the way we like it. We tried their chicken gravy too which is good. The minimum quantity when ordering a take away is their half padi which costs 1150/ which is packed into a hot pack and a plate which is around 180/...

One of my favourite food joint located in Aminjikarai. Had their spl ghee rice and mutton kurma. Loved the taste nd flavour. It would be even nice if they don't charge delivery charge as now days all hotels make free delivery
I've seen this place couple of times on my way to work and the other day my boss mentioned he grew up eating this biriyani. So naturally, one day I dropped in here coz I'm a sucker for biriyani! It's located in Shenoy Nagar, very close to bilroth hospital. I'm not gonna talk about ambience as its one of those really old and small restaurants with hardly 4 tables. The service was quick, matter of seconds my chicken biriyani was on the table. Served along with raitha and some gravy. The raitha was really good, and they are quite generous with it as well. Loved the taste of the biriyani and it finished in no time.
Apparently minar has lost its charm and glory from the Olden days, but it was my first time here and I loved it. Will definitely be in my list for take away biriyani places.
I had ordered vegetable biryani from Minar Biryani shop for my guests at home. The taste was really good not too much masala and was filled with a lot of vegetables. The brinjal curry and The bread pudding was also good a bit too sweet but still was tasty. I was quite surprised by the packing. So well packed in a thermacol box and was so hot. I would definitely recommend.

Biriyani tastes awesome here. One thing about this place is most of their orders is in bulk mostly for functions,family get together and parties etc.. they do have a small shop in the front. even the biriyani is better when you order in bulk compared to the one which they serve in the shop. Even chicken and mutton samosas tastes good.
The most subtle of Briyani's yet a burst of flavor .Minar brings childhood memories of the best Briyani's, even after 20 years that taste is maintained. Mutton briyani is great but this is one place where the chicken is also close to the mutton briyani perfection.
Love the food here. Traditional taste, worth for money. Best place for measure or bulk order of Biriyani. Also they do door step at nominal price. Located at Amanjikarai near billroth hospital.
The place is as old as me. I continue to go there everytime I visit Chennai for its sort of unique Biriyani taste and if afternoon for its puffs & mini samosas, both of which taste fantastic too. In-house made sweet bread is commendable too. I encourage everybody who likes to rotate between varieties of Biriyani to try Minar atleast once (just ask them to make sure there is enough meat - sometimes takeaway Biriyani's are almost meat-free as a Kushka, lol).
I have deducted a star because the premises are not always as tidy as I would have liked them to be. But this could just be my NRI arrogance. Bottom line is, I havent ever been unwell in any form or shape after eating on premises too & only this matters!

One of the best biryani places in Chennai ,their biryani taste is tremendous but more than that my favourite item is their chicken 65 boneless , which they make it really very tasty .if you are organising a small party or get together this is the best place for you .they provide items in large quantities for party orders without compromising the taste.
The best biriyani i have tasted in my life. You can have great mouth watering biriyani if you order for measures. The ready to serve biriyani is not a great option is just ok. Half measure can serve
6 -7 persons and full measure can serve 12- 13 persons.
