I am highly suggesting this restaurant for a must try in Kodambakkam. Though i come on a regular basis. Ambience, food, service , cleanliness has been top class.
Karthik has been an amazing host in the restaurant & he has been supportive among dishes & service. Thank you.
This is a little cramped space and cannot accommodate a large family or friends gathering. However, we were accommodated by putting tables together. For Ambience, I will give it three stars and for food probably 4star. There were no tandoori items. The big mixed platter was around 500 and was okay.
In recent past I visiting regularly to the kamatchi hotel. Non veg mutton meals is awesome. Mutton Chuka , fish fry , ellanir paysam must try food. Highly recommended

We had a Mutton biriyani combo ( which had half biriyani + a parotta + chicken gravy of 3 to 4 pieces ) and mutton biriyani with Chicken chukka. Really

Everything was very good in taste and quality and personally my favourite was chicken Perattal sadham
Food is good. Briyani is filled with masala but ok. When we visited last time the fish platter was not there. Portion is small. Lots of dishes are off the menu now
One of the best restaurant to enjoy typical South Indian food from biryani to curry items and they have listed best combos .
Authentic taste and the rasam is the ultimate.

I had very very tasty and ##best Prawn biryani in Chennai after a long time.
1)Taste 💯marks.Authentic prawns biryani
2)Hot and fresh biryani with soft prawns.
3)Quantity wise as well can serve1-2 person (more quantity).It had more than 20 prawns.
4)Spices were perfect.
Awesome place to have authentic Chettinad briyani and side dishes. Its a chain hotel of the famous Pondicherry kamatchi hotel (white town Briyani veedu ). Rasam and vegetarian items are super good. They take away branch in ejanbakkam and dine in at Kodambakkam. I am a regular customer in Pondicherry
