The Hara Bhara kebabs we so delicious. Just loved it.
Crispy outside and well cooked core was just amazing.

This Pizza is definitely not the regular pizza but this pizza has a Puff base which is different from any other base. I would highly recommend this Pizza if you like little more crispiness and wafer touch to your pizza base. The toppings were proper n consistency and overall it's a must try if you like fusion food and ready to experiment.
After trying out their other branch at thousand lights, I'd decided to give this one a go too. Delivered in time and Food delivered HOT! Thumbs up to that.
What I had,
•Chicken Mughlai paratha - my favourite. Had a frankie like taste to it.
•Peri Peri chicken puff pizza. Also another good dish which is best eaten hot.
•Butter Chicken Biryani - the flavour is there but I prefer the Chicken tikka Biriyani to this.
•Salted caramel mousse - a better alternative to the Chocolate Mousse. Loved it.
Neat packaging, with a cup of curd to accompany the meal, a good place for Yummy food!!!

Dahi kebab: Was crisp and yumm. However once its cold it became hard and wasn't good. Do eat it hot.

A Delivery and Take-away only outlet serving some juicy Kebabs, and Biriyani.
Recently tried out their Galouti Kebab, Classic Hyderabadi Biriyani, Chicken Tikka Pizza and Strawberry Soufflé.
Each dish was very flavoursome. In fact, the kebabs tasted great but were too oily for me. These were like cutlets and were loaded with some fine, minced veggies and groundnuts.
The Biriyani was delicious. Hands down, one of the best vegetarian Biriyani. It was layered with some long grained basmati rice, and vegetable masala. The masala was tangy and super spicy with ingredients such as corn, paneer and peas. Loved this layered goodness which was topped off with some nice crunchy fried onions as well.
The Chicken Tikka Pizza with a puff base felt different. A bit crunchy and soft at the same time. Loved the tikka flavour of the chicken as well. These are best when eaten hot hot.
Ice Tea to compliment the entire meal. Goes well with the combo!
The strawberry souffle is a good end to this. But I had a mixed reaction to its taste and flavour. It was just decent.
Great food! The newly introduced veg dahi ke kebab are crispy and fun to eat. The veg galouti roll was great too! The paneer biriyani is an all time favorite item and the afghani biriyani was a great item. The spice levels matched the description too!
Amazing food ! A fabulous experience . Totally recommended . A must visit place people . It has some wide variety of scrumptious delicacies with some succulently delicious food. All the food lovers of chennai must definitely hog here and order right away from The Charcoal Eats !

Verdict👩⚖️ - Paneer makhani briyani was absolutely delicious it had loads of tiny paneer chunks and a lot of masala(little too much masala though) but you can mix it to your preference.
Lucknowi mutton kebab was too soft and too good.
The Peri Peri chicken puff crust pizza was a clear winner as it absolutely stole the show, the crust was very light and complemented the toppings(though the chicken pieces were very less).
Strawberry souffle had a yogurt like texture and flavour, was melted by the time I had it. Still tasted delicious.
Charcoal eats serves some reasonably priced options, I had trouble locating the R.A.Puram outlet( pickup only) it's better to have food delivered.

Mashed chicken mixed with masala then made into rolls and it was mouth watering to eat 🤤🤤.
Mousse cake :
I had mousse cake from many place and also make mousse cup myself but, this mousse cake was bit different and the taste was yummy. There is no excess sweet. The blend of chocolate and cream was perfect.

The biryani here is a clear winner among their other dishes, the quantity makes up for an entire meal. The Chicken Sheek Kebab roll was also pretty good. The puff crust pizzas are not meant to be ordered in since they tend to get a bit soggy, so if you want to try the square pizza, it's better to have it there.
Happy to input my opinion about the yummy variety of Biryanis my family and myself enjoyed today... The taste was yum, packing was very neat and delivery was on time... Just one suggestion is the masala for the biryani could be a bit lesser ... Thanks to my friend Lavanya who suggested this place... 👍👍👍

Tried the classic chicken biriyani and Awadhi chicken biriyani while I was visiting Mumbai. Loved their biriyani flavors, you really have to take time and mix it well. Awadhi biriyani does not come with the curd and chat powder mix though it is Spicer that the classic biriyani. I was hoping they had branch in Chennai. It is surprising how they are able to deliver it piping hot. I have tried Behrouz biriyani also but I like this better. Meat juts falls of the bone which is mouth watering to see and taste.. Unlike Behrouz they have been advertised far lesser and has a lot more side dish options..
What a lovely thing to have, when you're from Hyderabad, mom I'm bringing this biryani next time to tell you that this one is just as you make. Lovely fragrances come out of their kitchen while you're waiting for your food😍😍
Go for the signature biriyani that is the Afghani biryani which had the scent of Cardamom and a creamy essence which was very fulfilling. You can have the awadhi Biryani also which is not too spicy but a perfect blend of spices! Didn't expect such good biryani in Chennai!😋

Awesome food, value for money. I tried Afghani biriyani. More than the aroma the taste of the spices is felt. Well cooked rice and chicken. The curd accompanying the pack is of good quality. Must try.
We had the biriyani and it was out of the world! The taste was superb, gravy was mouth watering and good quantity as well. The raitha and accomplishments were by itself very unique and tasty. Finally the packaging and overall experience was too good. Try it once and am sure you will go back again and again.
Finally found out the good briyani centre in Chennai. I ate chicken briyani it was very good and awesome. Next time I'll try for mutton. Every one should try

I was happy to find Charcoal Eats in Chennai. Had eaten in Mumbai earlier. We had ordered food through Zomato delivery. Awadhi Mutton Biryani was delicious and filling too. My friends also liked Butter Chicken Biryani has its a different flavour all North Indians will love, which you do not get in Channai at out local restaurants.

Awadi veg biryani n barbecue french fries were superb. However the Classic veg biryani which we ordered was well below average. Need to improve a lot in its flavour/taste.
The taste and quality of the food is excellent. Biryani was so delicious also decorated wonderfully and mousse was lovely. Biryani was delivered piping hot and packaging was top notch.
So a bunch of us decided to place an order with these guys considering they are the new biryani talk of the town and I'm glad to say they lived up to their expectations. We ordered the following :

I have been in Mumbai. I used to eat outside mostly afterthat I got aware of #charcoalEats then I used to order regularly. The taste was very good. Now I am happy to hear that it's opened in Chennai also.
The famous Mumbai chain is new here in Chennai. I tried the dillwala butter chicken Biriyani, chicken tikka starter. It's a new concept butter chicken Biriyani and was very delicious. The packaging was good and the were served hot 🔥.....
Ordered Very classic biriyani and chocolate mousse. Deliver was quick with nice packaging maintaining the heat and aroma of biriyani. Taste was good with correct blend of vegetables and spices. One portion was sufficient for single serve. Chocolate mousse was equally good and it came with correct sugar addition i.e. not excessive sweet. Overall a good experience and a must reorder.
So just 2 days in chennai and what better if you find a place in Mumbai. Nice work charcoal eats for expanding your chain to chennai, as this place needs it!! Internship would bge fun if charcoal eats is here!

Was here for a day and realized chennai is not boring, which they were according to me. Loved the people and they took me to a familiar place too. And thus my day was amazing would like to visit chennai again!! Lovely biryanis though!
Despite the initial hiccups in ordering I would say this place is good.There was a brief goof up in ordering which resulted in a missing item which they rectified.
The taste is genuine. While we have many options here in Chennai for south based biryanis true Lucknow style biryanis are served only by this guy and Behrouz. The taste was authentic - daresay slightly better than Behrouz.
Nice fragrant rice with slow cooked boneless chicken makes up for the Awadhi style biryani, I liked it. The starter which I got later on also was good.
Their packing is nice and hygienic. Presentation is good. Portion sizes are adequate. They just need to get their house in order regarding last mile - ground level people.

Charcoal Eats express is a Delivery only outlet based out of RA Puram who have opened up their first outlet in chennai after a successful run in bombay and nearby cities...As of now they are delivering within a radius of 3kms and also have collaborated with Swiggy and Uber Eats along with their own delivery system...
The Food order was taken promptly and food was delivered in a jiffy..Was neatly packed too..Ordered a Classic Dum Biryani, Chicken Mughlai Paratha, Classic Chicken Tikka and Chocolate Mousse..
Classic Dum Biryani : This was a supposedly a Dum Biryani that Incorporated a Bohri Style cooking of which i personally have less experience..Was well mixed and aromatic with 3 regular well cooked meat pieces..the menu said it was spicy but it was less spicier than i expected it to be..But overall the taste was good...Regular onion Raita was served along with it...
Chicken Mughlai Paratha : I simply loved this one as it had a crispy paratha with a juicy chicken filling...But as it was too juicy it had gone a bit cold which made me to microwave it...due to which the crispness was lost...wish i was able try it piping hot but alas that can be done in deliveries..
Classic Chicken Tikka : Tad better than a regular tikka with a slightly spicier taste and a bit of tanginess..The meat was well cooked and juicy and moist..and went well with the tandoori dip served along with it...
Chocolate Mousse : Pretty decent one had a bit of a grainy texture but was bang on taste...Perfect chocolate to my liking...

Charcoal Eats is in Chennai now, thats great for the people who love their Biryanis. In comparison to Chennai Biryanis there Biryanis are with a little bit of gravy.
I love the Afghani chicken tikka Biryanis, this is a very unique biryani, full of flavors and very mild. For the people who like spicy they should go for Classic chicken biryani, this is very close to the traditional Biryanis.
Great North Indian flavour of biryanis and starters. The pizza square is actually very different. It's made of puff crust and not like normal pizza base. The chole served with malabari paratha is really nice and delicious.

I have ordered from Charcoal Eats while in Mumbai and when I saw that they had ventured into home territory was keen to try again.
I picked up a takeaway a couple of days back and this outlet is situated on Chamiers Road bang on top of the Mcrennet' s bakery.
I ordered the Mutton Sheekh Adana kabab, their best selling Mughlai Paratha, a couple of Briyani to go.
My loot was packed in an eco friendly bag which is reusable and they get extra points for that.
The kabab was quite tasty and had a nice smoky flavour which I prefer.
The paratha was stuffed with minced chicken mixed with egg and tasted a lot like a Malaysian Murtabak and was delicious.
It came with a dip but frankly the paratha didn't need it.
The two Briyanis were The Dilliwala Butter Chicken Briyani and the Awadhi mutton Briyani.
The butter chicken Briyani was just as the name suggests- a layer of butter chicken gravy topped with Briyani rice.
It was good.
The other Briyani was indicated as spicy with one chilly mark but oh boy it was way too spicy for my palate. The mutton pieces were also tough and chewy and I felt the proportion of gravy to rice was off.
Overall I think the arrival of Charcoal Eats is a welcome addition the Chennai' s blossoming food delivery scene.

As a part of Food Review Program(FRP) i have been invited by Charcoal Eats.It's a takeaway/delivery outlet & as per my request(to make video) i got to try at the outlet itself.
Coming to food ,we got 6 types of food including Desserts.
1) Chicken Tikka Biriyani: It was well cooked and the taste of chicken tikka made the biriyani more tasty and guyz,it was too heavy.(1 needed for two pax).
2) Chicken Mughalai Paratha: Softy paratha stuffed with chicken and the filling was too good(only chicken).You will get 3 pieces and you will order again becuase of the taste.
3)BBQ Loaded Fries: It was a new experience to try french fries with BBQ chicken and french fries with sauce .Fries were softy and crunchy with the sauce and mixing it with chicken makes out of the world.Its a must try guys and the quantity is also good enough.
4)Chicken Kheema Paratha: Chicken Kheema tried with paratha and i was able to taste the marinated chicken and the taste was good.It was also heavy one.
5)Veg Pizza Square: Pizza with a puff like crust included with Corn n Tomatoes.The crust is thin and its unique from other pizza. You can try out if you are veggie 😁.
6) Chocolate Mousse: After the heavy food ,i thought not to try this because chocolate again make heavy,but that chocolate mousse box tempted me.It was too softy and not that much thick.This was not much heavy but really tastey.
NB: It was a FRP but this review is fully based upon my experience .

I came to this place on 14/7/2018. I got to know about this restaurant via Instagram where they host lot of contests. I had won a voucher of 2000rs. (please check their posts and participate :))
I ordered multiple dishes including Afghani Biriyani, Chicken Tikka Biriyani, Tandoori loaded fries and chocolate mousse.
The food was delicious, no complaints at all. They provide a separate box of curd for the biriyani, this is something new and I have not seen in other restaurants. Which is really nice and they give the onions separately so we can make out onion raitha as we like it.
I liked the Strawberry Souffle very much and wished I had got 3 more.
Really nice customer support. Only suggestion is that they should have some board in front of their outlet to show the directions to the steps to go upstairs where we can pay and collect our order. .

Afghani Veg Biryani was tasty and sumptuous and one of the best Biryanis I have ever had. Ordering was easy on their App and delivery was prompt, food was warm and ready to eat. Wonderful experience! Look forward to tasing all the other items in the menu!
The biryanis were excellent, but a raita/curd should not be charged extra. It is a part of the meal, and not an additional item.
First Charcoal order in Chennai. Loved the chicken keema and paratha. Excellent office order place. The food tastes good but not over the top spicy.

First time I have ordered the food through Zomato... I really loved the food..they delivered hot and fresh... The chicken tikka biriyani was awesome... I'm a telugutian, I love Hyderabad paradise biriyani... After that I love this one... Really appreciated, SPL thanks to the chef... expected little more spicy., But okay... packing is good except they sealed with plastic that was the only minus point.. wooden spoon is appreciated, but the plastic seal was disappointed... Except that I love to taste more flavours from this restaurant.. keep it up guys...
