Tastiest veg restaurant I’ve ever been to— I got a mini meal with plenty of variety that harmonized immensely well. Everything was hot and fresh, the mini papad were crispy, the pickle a delicious addition. Good value. It’s hard to find a tasty vegetarian restaurant in the US, but these guys make it look easy!

I had the South Indian meals here and it was very hearty and filling! All side dishes were good, ghee and paruppu podi were given on the side and you can ask for extra appalams!
Restaurant is clean and the service is slow during peak hours and weekends. Seating could be better improved to accommodate families with more than 5 people.
Their special meals get sold out quite fast but their usual South Indian meals is satisfactory :)

This A2B is located on main road and the area is quite clean. No comments about the taste as I find all the A2B having the same taste & quality. The quantity should have been more for the price they charge. Overall the experience is ok. As usual the sweet & snack shop is on ground floor & the restaurant is on the floor above. I tried their Green Roast Dosa and found is amazing so is the filter coffee.

They really need to work on that air conditioning and maintenance. There was water on the floor and some tables were inaccessible because of that. The A/C was not in proper condition and it was uncomfortable.
The food however was very good and they maintained the expectations and standard of the brand.
While some staff were courteous, some people just stood there idly not responding to any of our calls. The restaurant wasn't even packed when we went and still it took some time for the staff to attend to us.

Very good place for vegetarians. Perfect South Indian Breakfast from idly, dosas to poori.. everything was served really hot and good. Filter coffee is must try! My favourites are Rava dosa, Ghee roast, vada and poori. Pongal is also nice. Have tried mini Tiffin, really worth, offers sweet, masala dosa, one idly, one mini vada, pongal. Could spot many women waitress and they really do their job very well. Very good customer service. On the ground floor, you have the sweets and snacks varieties which you can purchase for your home. Awesome taste. Overall they have good reputation and maintaining standards. Worth the money eventhough a bit pricey! Car parking is available just outside the hotel and can be adjusted.

I had an exceptional dining experience at this Ananda Bhavan. The waiter provided great service, always ready and willing to help without any hesitation. The menu offered a plethora of varieties, from sweets to savories, allowing you to indulge yourself.
The prices were incredibly reasonable, making it accessible for everyone to enjoy. It's undoubtedly the best place to visit for tea, coffee, and sweet treats.

One small suggestion we use to have curd with our food at night even if we have chappati r poori also if coustomer demands for curd u can provide and get additional charges not a issue

Had sambar rice.. Tastes good. Sambar and rice must be equal but served more sambar and very less rice. Had a gud pav bhaji.. I must say its one of the best...

Adayar Ananda Bhavan is a rumored chain of cafés in Chennai which delivers an enormous assortment of sweets, savouries, chats and other stuff. It is a veggie lover restaurant for the most part well known for its desserts. Their Filter coffee is yummy. Administration is speedy however needs graciousness.
Plates and glasses should be kept up with clean which is a remarkable negative point for them. The café serves speedy lunch which is the most favored thing by workers visiting this spot. They keep up with great nature of desserts and savories. The food they serve tastes better than expected. This is a family place and is estimated reasonably.

Very good place for vegetarian people to satisfy their appetite. Food was so tasty and not much spicy or hot as we used to see in common hotel foods...worth for money. Very good service rendered. Ground floor there are chat based items and savouries are sold there. First floor dining was there. Enough space for family seated. Parking area only limited as we have to park infront of the shop or roadside.

After COVID situation, when the city has opened up restaurants for take aways and some allow dining inside, we thought of picking up food from A2B today. We ordered for Mini Lunch which is ₹130, we ordered for 3 Mini Lunch for take away. Reached home and opened the package but were so disappointed for the quantity. It had tomato rice, sambhar rice, curd rice, chapati khurma, rava Kesari, few crisps. But the quantity was so less for the price on the menu. The taste was okay, but definitely did not fill our stomach.

We visited for a Sunday family lunch on the first few days of restaurant open guidelines set by TN govt from 01/09/2020 week and experience was not great.

Staffs were less , very slow delivery, AC wasn't working but inspite of all , food was better than average but certainly pricey for us ( the middleclass ) 😊 . Staff behaviour was good only . Hindi speaking crowd won't find it difficult to communicate .

Parking road side and ample space on lockdown weekends

The hype of A2B has to be maintained . Sorry but no wow factor and 2nd visit is not ensured.

Good luck guys !!
I ordered three sweets. They are Mysore pa , badusha and kalakand. All were old stocks and tasteless and I fell ill after consuming small quantity. We threw all the items.
Jai Surya Reddy
Worst experience ever . Kindly refrain from ordering nor visiting there

We had a2b special south indian thali. Items in thali were great. Soup was served first and then came thali followed by ice cream. The only problem is that cut fruits were served with thali which did not make any sense. Also, most of the items were not available during the lunch time. We wanted to try something from traditional items but nothing was available which was a big drawback. Food was good and worth the cost. Ambiance was good too. Parking is an issue during rush hours as its limited in front of the restaurant which is at the first floor. One lady charged Rs 5 for parking when we left which again did not make any sense. I want the authorities to look into it as to why the parking fee was taken.

Had lunch at this place now. Ordered mini lunch which had rice, halwa, vegetables, sambar, pickles, papad. Quantity was sufficient and rate too reasonable

The quantity is extremely low. Please raise complaints against it so they stop serving such less quantity for such a high price. Please do not go.
FoodieDubai
Had cheese Pau bhaji and filter coffee. Cheese Pau bhaji had lots of cheese with butter toasted Pau which made mouth watering and filter coffee was amazing
Sirajudeen
Good joint for chat food items, sweets and dosas...ordered a variety of different chat items, ghee roast, rasamalai... All were delicious.. Except rasamalai could have been better... Not very sure how hygienic the place really was though.. Cos I did get an upset stomach shortly after.. .... Prices are reasonable.. So I guess for the money you pay, you get value for food..
The Bumblebee_foodie
Rasmalai - served with 1 pc . The milk is very watery but tastes good

Thatai - is one of my favourite here . The taste is really good

Bhel puri - is good . Not too much sauces

This is a restaurant and sweet shop that I have been frequenting from the time it has opened, many moons ago. A restaurant that does fairly decent food, but is marred by the poor and indifferent out of town servers and staff. They do not respect their customers and most often ignore any sort of requests or complaints. Have had arguments with staff many a time over these issues. Have approached management, on at least twenty occasions, but nothing changes. Staff are disrespectful of customers and don’t care. They open their restaurant fairly early every morning, but all you may get is it and Pongal. Nothing is ready before 8.30 am. Many a time, I have gone there and left, as I believe that I should eat what I want, when am paying. They are not doing me a favour by serving me previous Left over food, before they start their kitchen. Many a time, have asked them, when Ivan get a Dosa or puri or a mini tiffin and they would say half an hour. Who would wait so long. This place is best avoided if you are going before 8.30 am. Watch out for rude restaurant managers if you ever intend to complain.

This place is nice . The food taste is also good. The price is ok for the food taste and it’s a pure vegetarian restaurant and the sweet taste is also good..The sweet are expensive only coz of taste.. The place is good n neat .....

Nice bustling place, sometimes crowded. Great place to have Breakfasts (Idli, Dosa, Vada, Pongal), North Indian and South Indian Thali meals. Service is ok. Orders take 20-30 mins average.

One of the oldest restaurant chains that started from Chennai. Adyar Ananda Bhavan (or popularly known as A2B) has really spread out in many places around the world and expanded its offerings to sweets, snacks, South Indian, North Indian and even Chinese cuisine.

I frequent the Annanagar west branch for their snacks, and often buy sweets for gifting purposes. Once I sat down to have coffee, and I have to say, their filter coffee is definitely a must try. Fresh and hot Jalebis and Puran Poli are usually made in the evenings. The place is crowded most of the time, so getting a place to sit in the snacking area would be an issue. Parking may not always be an issue as they have vast space right in front of the outlet, but it all depends on the crowd. There are some good restaurants in the vicinity too, so parking space is often shared. A2B has a vegetarian fine dining area too, but I have not tried that yet. So until the updated review comes, hope you enjoy A2B’s delicacies and coffee.

Bought sweets

Makkan peda
Badam katli
Maladu -1/5

Very bad.. after taking home the parcel of sweets, opened maladu and found bugs moving on it... Seriously???!!!

Horrible service. We were a party of 4. They refused to seat us at a table because it had 6 places. It was still vacant when we left. We were then shunted to a dark room with no AC and no waiters. We left without eating after being made to wait interminably in darkness. No managers or captains were around in the restaurant either.

Quantity is very less and over priced...but expected more from them...totally disappointed seeing the quantity and quality...Only name pulls the ppl nr not the taste...Never ever will i go into the restaurant again.

Worst service for take away, the person taking order was on phone for a long time and we had to wait, we ordered mushroom pepper fry they took 20 mins to deliver, quantity was less for 175 rupees and was not cleaned properly.

Got a breakfast combo of
Mini masala dosa
Mini pongal
1 idly
1 vada
A sweet....... Taste was phenomenal with ghee taste shown some true color of a gud breakfast. Sweet was excellent and worth try out. Only missing was coconut chutney as I was very fond off. 😎

The restaurant is fine. The food is hot and taste is typically A2B.

However the buffet for the hall was pretty bad. It was a pretty basic spread, but still none of the items were good. Left a bad taste of an otherwise memorable event, literally.

Hungry? Want quick service? Multicuisine preference? Tasty food..?
Your answer is undoubtedly A2B 😍
A really warm ambience, prompt service, and delicious food is definitely something to appreciate!
My order:
Veg Hot and sour soup
Baby corn pepper fry
Butter naan
Roti
Garlic naan
Kadai vegetable gravy
Gobi Manchurian gravy

The soup was hottt and spiiiicyyyyyy 😍 and realllly tasty...
The baby corn was perfectly cooked and fried n seasoned and lipsmacking.
The naans were really soft and tasty... Butter naan soaaked in butter and garlic naan jussttt garlickyy!
Roti was soft and just right and the gravies were totally delicious. Although the Gobi Manchurian gravy had a tad of sweet taste to it..

Since it was a lunch I went for such main course items. But this place is best known for their chat items and sweets😍♥️. Must try! 🔥
Orderd pongal and rava onion dosa. 2 items.
1. I asked for extra coconut chutney. There was NO coconut chutney
2. Two items on the order and sambhar, red chutney and green chutney - enough for 1 item.
IF EVER, repeat IF EVER I order from A2B again, I will place each item in a separate order so that I get sufficient accompaniments.

Good place for breakfast. Been there on a few occasions and like the quick service and dosas and chana batura. With decent parking, and though crowded on Sunday's, nevertheless a good place for a family breakfast. Can make you feel a bit cramped when restaurant is full though.

Nice place for breakfast. Their Dosa and Pongal are good though portions can be improved. Ambience is fair. Service is okay. Good variety offered. I am writing this review after having visited them several times, all for breakfast.

Update: Had lunch over there and for a mini meal, it was a decent affair for the price. Typical business-less fast food South Indian restaurant with minimal seating and ambience.

Plain dosa, Pav Bhaji and Rasmalai - are the signature dishes we order all the time whenever we go there. Noodles are a really bad choice here.

Service could be made better. Go for the first floor AC dining hall.

We ordered lassi and some snacks . Taste of lassi is vey horrible. We asked the waiter . He said no complaints we received so far . Will inform the manager . But really it's a very old lassi stored for a longer period and that too they switch off the refrigerator during nights some times . But they did not accept the fact . Pl be cautious while ordering milk products from these hotels

Well, this is my second time visit to an A2B outlet in a week. And my experience here was good compared to the previous one. Went for short snacks as it was little past 6. But left the place completing dinner quota 😉 The food was served hot and taste wise good.

Our orders:
=========
▪valapoo vada: I'm not a big fan of banana flowers nor the lentils, but this vada was awesome. Especially the red Chutney which they served as sides👌😍
▪inipu paniyaram: This was hot and yummy 😍 jaggery was added to the point.
▪curd vada: Being a fan of curd vada I try to explore this amazing delicacy in different restaurants I go. But it all tastes the same 😑 no variations .
▪mini idly: 2nd consecutive day tasting mini idlis in a week. HSB earns the cookie points for the extra spl ghee they add on top. In A2B I can hardly taste or feel the richness of ghee.
▪sweet poli: sweet or thenga poli as fondly called. This was good too. Only wish they reduce the amount of oil/ghee watever they use to make them.😑

Food:3.5/5
Ambience:3/5
Service:3/5
VFM:3.5/5

Had visited this place quite few times. AC is on first floor. Neat ambience but the place is always crowded so service is very slow. Staff are friendly but at times forget the minor details we mention them like extra spice but that's understandable with the crowd that hits this place.

Paneer fried rice is a must try. Good taste though quantity is less; taste would compensate for it. Cheese dosa was a disaster. Breads were all good. Tried garlic naan, cheese kulcha, butter roti and it was good. Small onion uttapam was okay. There are actually so many varieties to be tried here!

Tried paneer gravy and it tastes good. Ordered organic meals one day for lunch. It was all such a different menu and surprisingly it tasted good as well.

Definitely a must try for the vegetarian people. Though pricey, the restaurant has a good taste that could compensate for the price and slow service.

The restaurant has two sections, one is dedicatedly for sweets and chaat on the ground floor. Fine dining options has a plethora of options. Tried ghee masala dosa and avial. It has rich south indian flavours and taste!
Good on service and cleanliness

One of the best places in chennai for SWEETS. Apt for any functions/parties/gatherings... Etc.
Of the chaat items, bhel Puri is one of the best.
Dosas aren't that great here, but parottas are pretty good but take time.
Don't dare to taste the pizzas there😂

Don't forget to taste the ultimate badam milk, filled with badam pieces maintaining good consistency.
Pocket friendly place for short eats.
HARI KRISHNAN PRATAP
Very poor quality and standard. Sweet kozhukattai offered was only dough and had no filling ( jaggery and coconut) at all. Their focus to open more outlets should stop and in turn concentrate on the quality of food offered. I would strongly not recommend this outlet and any other a2b here after...
Shrishail Deshnur
Lunching at Adyar Anand Bhavan is always the safest option and you know that the food will not disappoint you. Thought I'd have parota-kurma, but they didn't have it. So tried mini meals and the food was yum. 3 types of rice after a chapati is tasty as well as filling.
Arunkumar
Quality of the food was very average. Serving e was very worst. After a long time ordered Garlic Nan after half an hour the waiter came and told some problem in kitchen so only tawa roti is available. In the nearby table one couple order chole puri and they served half fried and after shouting they replaced. It's was mentioned outside as Fine dinning but my experience was not so. If you go to A2B Pls be cautious ordering North Indian.

Very poor food and quantity was at lowest possible.. Customer service was abysmal and we are suffering from had here.
Ambiance is fine.. And neatily maintained.. But is the problem.. Kindly improve it..

A great place nearby my house. The butterscotch milkshake available here is too good.I was also amazed by the "Chat Combo" provided at this A2B.The price is quite high, but given the quality and taste, the price can closely be justified.
Joshua Jeremiah
Been here humpteen times, wanted something new and healthy. They need some experience master/chefs for the chat section to be groomed up. Its need some serious attention.
Dharani Moorthy
A great place to eat chaat :) and snacks. Must try: the authentic south Indian Dosas, coffee, bhel puri, pani puri, ribbon pakoda, chips, thattai, thenguzhal. Service could be better as the staff are unnecesarily rude & ignorant.

This one of the quite popular veg restaurant in anna nagar
Ambience is average
Coming to the service its worse they take longer time to server
Only things which we can go for this hotel is for taste
Sambar idly is the best
Ghee roast n everything will be delicious
Worth waiting try mini jangree here

Ok sought of food quality. Ambience is good.. food taste is normal and not as much as expected. Can be improved in quality of food and customer services !
Akshay
It's good. Though you have to be lucky to eat on the good taste day. Inconsistent with taste. Varies from day to day. The ambience is good. They got to try manage people in a better way. Service is good but it takes time. One big problem is they bring the starters halfway through the meal. Food is good but chat items are the more noticeable. Try cheesy Pav bhaji and those tandoori items. You'd love them. North Indian meals is good but you could add one more roti to it. Work on the service issue and consistency. Else it is a good eatery.
Neel
Went with couple of friends and had South Indian meal here. Accompaniments were given in small cups which are inadequate. We asked for sambar and rasam and need to ask the waiter couple of times. Service was not great. Typical South Indian thali which was okay.
Oman Office
It's a standard place with predictable quality of food and crowded for discomfort.

It's also standard not to expect great service from any a2b joints and I don't know why? This too suffers from courtesies and good service.

Ac hall present is great and their small jangiri is fresh and out of the way!
Shridhar K
Situated in long 2nd avenue road, this is integrated one. They have hall, sweets chat section, importantly nice fine a/c dining. Courtesies staff serving neat, complementary 500 ml ninraal water ...all fine. Keep it up . 135 meal is sufficient during lunch.

We had been to A2B for dinner.. We were new to the place and did not know which floor the restaurant was when enquired a waiter over there did not even respond properly. First impression lost over there. Then as soon we were seated nobody attended to us for first 10mins while rest of the table was very busy being attended.. After being attended we placed order for a A2B SPL soup(which was 1/2) one plate idli , set dosa vada curry and Schezwan fried rice.. We were told the soup is a mixed but nothing SPL about the soup it was less than ordinary.. Coming the main course we were told after order of ten mins that set dosa is not available , we changed the order to Podi dosa (which was supposed to be for my hubby), ten minutes later again we were told idling was also not available.. Ridiculous!! Just at 9pm idlis are over that too 15-20mins after the order.. Pathetic it was, when I asked the waiter he was so cool and said ok what u want with a very lethargic tone.. The order was supposed to be for my kid... So we ordered an ordinary dosa, All the three were brought together, Dosa-podi and normal tasted average, while Schezwan fried rice was also not that great.. Over all it was a bad experience I could say a very bad.. I could not take photos as I was busy taking care of my kid.. Opening no. Of branches in each locality is not important but some sort of quality should be there.. A2B I think will lose its charm very soon at this rate...
Jubilian Stanislaus
I don't know why they opened this branch if they can't run it properly. Food never comes fast. They make you wait for a table though there are many empty tables due to lack of staff service. My respect for A2B made me go there and did make me regret. Good location but bad service. Against their reputation.
Padmashree S
here you get all warm greetings and all that.. but the food wont come fast.. taste wise it is good and has good many varieties..

last time i went here, i had remind them atleast 3 times for starters and main course..couldnt believe they dint have fresh fruit juice on a sunday night and so ended up having milkshake which ate up 30% of the bill..

definetely need to work down the milkshake prices and improve the speed of serving dishes.. u cant expect ppl to spend 2.5 hours on dinner alone..

Was digging away into a decent plate of idli n the waiter places a nice bowl of filled coconut chutney ... Before I could ask !
And Boy that made my day
Nothing beats hospitality .... Also to my luck the place was not crowded .
Food average
Hospitality -- great
Value for money -- Decent

I ve given 2.5 only because of the ambience... The food served was very poor.. Ordered onion uttapam, it was the worst I ve tasted in chennai.. It was not cooked properly nd had a really bad sour taste.. The service wasn't tat good as well

One of the worst service place. I went in for take away. I placed order for two meals and fried rice (without onion and garlic). After a long wait, the staff handed over parcel. Luckily I checked the parcel and found one meal missing. I had to wait for another 15mins for my other meals. This doesn't end here. After getting back I found the fried rice had onion in it, which is very frustrating after having asked for it. The food is very average. The rasam too salty. Definitely not a place I will go again. The management must pay more attention to the process.

Nothing special to tell about this hotel in Anna nagar west. Nice service and ambience. Rasamalai is good and reasagullas also. Not any chat items to tell about specifically. Easy to locate the place. Nice ambience.
Shalini Dinesh
My rating is definitely not for the food but for the service rendered. I just ordered for a combo millet meal and walked out after 30 mins with my stomach till groaning. Even after me repeatedly asking the server if it will take time; the guy kept me waiting telling dat its being arranged. A2b u just lost your reputation. Sorry for u.

The worst service I never ever saw in my life time .. I went to buy meals so I have placed the order n they said in 15 mins it will be ready at 1.40 I have placed the order I got the meals at 3.00 after a hour only I got my food . I was just waiting seeing wat all is going on ... At that time I have noted one thing in one dining they did not clean itself the plates where there for more then 15mins I have uploaded the photo of that unclean table .. Not only for me it happened after that one person placed the order even he faced the same problem n he shouted at the casher .. It's worst

Best palce fro authentic South Indain sweets. They have managed to maintain the same quality of their products for a long time.
The kaaju katli available here is definitely unbeatable by any other sweet shop. Madras mixture is also on of their speacilitis.
Saycheese_in
A2B started as a small sweet shop has evolved in last couple of decades with over 30+ outlets in Chennai! They are famous for Sweets and Chaat items .. Recently visited this place with my friend and ordered for a Dahi papdi chaat.. It didn't taste that good.. Curd was so diluted that it wasn't much to my liking.. Had tried their Pav bhaji and other Chaats which were pretty good.. Service is not prompt most of the times.
Rohini Chaithanya
This branch has gotten bigger and better. Its almost always crowded. The sweets are good though I don't like artistic or coloured or decorative kind of sweets. Quick and prompt service. Mirrors everywhere kind of decor.

Pav bhaji is great and their buns are fresh and soft with a lot of butter/ghee. Chola puri was good. Dahi puri or dahi chaat didn't taste good.

My dining experience now at A2B Annnagar west Chennai was worst in my life. I and my family could not eat the food at all , the dish Pav Baji was very sweet and Chilli Parotta was fully soaked in oil had to discard eating called the supervisor and explained about the quality but no response hence paid the bill to just get out to have food else where.

Though i am a fan of A2B food quality and visited almost all the branches I will never again visit this A2B Hotel which spoiled my dinner.

This was very worse food i ever had in my life or compared to any other hotel.
Thanan Jeyan
Went for dinner to adyar ananda bhavan, 12th main road with family. Usual Sunday crowded and got the seat after 15 minutes waiting. Has today's millet SPL sola dosa, it was very nice with especially peanut chutney. Servers should improve the hospitality and aware of availabilities. Some items he took the order and back after five minutes with regret. Ice cream he told not available but some supervisor told available and served. Placing the dishes without cleaning old plates... Etc. Taste is good and love it...
Divya Ramaraj
I love A2B's rasmalai and kaju kathili... If you wanna have perfect south Indian snack and food, you should definitely try this place...
Try all different parota's available here.
Sabari Sridhar O T
This is a new posh and a bigger A2B outlet that has come at the 12th main road that used to previously house only the Adyar Ananda Bhavan sweets and snacks. The ambience is very grand. But as I was in a hurry I had to opt for takeaway. I had mushroom fried rice and paneer Manchurian. Both were bland and taste wise average. The south indian items were good. The idly sambar, dosa and chutneys were good. Coffee was awesome. Overall, tastewise it is same as the other A2B outlets while it scores miles over them in terms of its ambience.
Aditya Mohan
Extremely poor service at the newly opened restaurant. Order being changed mid course. Ordered for Chilli idly confirmed and mid course cancelled. Pathetic

A place you can always go to for a quick meal. The food is good - a variety of South Indian food and chaat. The parotta here, is different from that in other places and tastes delicious with the pachhidi (raita) they give. You can find a whole world of sweets inside - a few of the hot picks are ras malai, basundhi and strawberries. Bhel puri and kara poli are two popular snacks here. Overall, a very satisfactory cuisine.

Pretty crappy place. Had a forgetful experience here. Ordered a plate of mini meals and everything was half cooked. The air conditioning was not working and when asked, the staff were downright rude!

Although the restaurant is hygenic, the masala dosas and sambhar which basic south indian cuisine are very average in taste. The service was bad. The place was crowded.he waiter took the order and after 15 minutes informs on being called that the meals was unavailable which is at 1:00 p.m. regular lunch time.

I had a better experience at Velachery and Mamallapuram in spite of the crowd.

I wish at least these people will create a competition to Saravana Bhavan in terms of quality but they fail. I feel really bad as such a brand are influencing more peeople to go to Saravana Bhavan

This was a great place for a quick stopover . The tiffin varieties and the choices available on the menu were a pleasant surpirse.

The paneer dosa , aloo bonda were awesome to say the least. Other items like the rava masala dosa , mixed veg dosa and chats also were really good.

The staff are courteous and the service was very quick.

You could also get to try out small portions of their pakodas , sweets and savouries on display.

With Diwali a few hours away, review on Adyar Ananda Bhavan was just apt. I’ve been to this house of sweets for almost all occasions. The sweets are a real delight and fresh. Sometimes you can easily get confused seeing the colorful display of various sweets and savories. Some of my regular items from here are Gulab Jamuns, Badushah, Ada Rasam, Kajju Katli, Butter murukku, Karchev and mixtures but none of these beat my all time fav – Jalebi’s and Poli.

When you park outside the Bhavan, you can see few equipments outside towards the right that is usually dormant throughout the day only to spring into action post 5pm. You can view a live show of some of the best bites of the house – Jalebi’s, Tanjore Poli, Masala Poli and other items. But it’s only these 3 items that tempt me to visit A2B every now and then and please bear in mind – they are high in Calories. The Jalebi’s are absolutely mouthwatering. It just devours your senses instantly sending signals to your brain to grab a hundred bites. You can watch how these jalebi’s are cooked right from when they are circled into the hot oil, then immersed in sugar syrup and finally packaged. The Jalebi’s are crisp, hot and perfectly sized, literally melting in your mouth. The Poli’s (Tanjore and Masala) on the other hand, are a treat as well. While the Tanjore Poli is sweet, the Masala Poli carries a good balance of stuffed potato and spice mix. So if you are buying the Poli, buy both and definitely buy the Jalebi’s.

They have service, you can order food and wait for the waiter to arrive with food in comfortable central a/c. Though bit costly all food items are worth the price - in terms of taste, quality and quantity.
Vijayanand Gnanasambandhan
great place for chat and desserts. the hot jelabis are really good.

I have been to A2b for many times, Saligramam and Kadalur are the branches I would have covered the maximum. Iam a diehard southie, and generally I come to taste the side dish than the main dish - Side dish can be improved with respect to chutney's and sambar. Sambar can have right amount of Jaggery to taste different from Saapaadu samabar and better to avoid garlic in White Chutney. Otherwise south dishes are fairly good. I feel their Chats especially Bhel puri is outstanding and I actually crave for it - full marks to them. With regard to Juices, they need to definitely reduce the sugar content.

With regard to Snacks and sweets, I would rate Beetroot chips to be the best among all - but it's a rare commodity :( - Their fruit halwa and Jamoons are really difficult to resist with one.

I have had sweets from A2B. They have a lot varieties of sweets, most of which I dont remember/dunno the names. My all time favourite from there is the Badhushah and Strawberry. The mysorepa is not upto the Sree Krishna Sweets's Mysorepa. If you dont like the taste of Ghee I wont recommend this place to you.
Nagarajan Subramaniam
A good place for savories.
I would recommend the Sweet Mini Jangiri, the Pavakai and the Ladies Finger Chips.

Adyar Ananda Bhavan, put up at Anna nagar welcomes every customer with its stereotypical South Indian odour. People find easy to locate the restaurant for the reason that it is situated at the heart of the city. The place is found to be highly populated during the peak hours of the day. Initiating from the breakfast menu to evening munches, every recipes possess its own taste and smell in it. No restaurant serves the best filter coffee as Adyar Ananda Bhavan. One try of sambhar rice, you are flattered. Rasamalai is the speciality of this restaurant. Affordable price rates. Best place to go out with family for breakfast or lunch or dinner.
