Had the opportunity to meet the legend in person - THE Achayati. The food is true to the rumour mills - delectable and five: stars 🤩. What stands out is also the warmth of the young team attending to you , friendly and yet non intrusive.(don’t miss the smile of Rejith, even a mask couldn’t keep it hidden) So glad to have dined here and so proud to see the entrepreneurial spirit of God’s own country strong and undiluted. As they say, true passion pays.

When I was walking through the streets of Chennai , and I was so hungry. Suddenly I saw the name of this hotel , the name implies that its a Malayali hotel, and the food they were serving is also kerala food. Inside were very neat and clean. The interior arrangements also good. Then I ordered Kerala parotta and Tomato Chicken curry. The server was very polite and he takes the order. He served the dish, the parotta was very crispy and tasty and the curry is also tasty, completely in Kerala style. I likes overall experience form there very much.

Achayathi's serves food that tastes as if it was made right at home. Had visited there on a rainy Saturday afternoon, was craving for some Kerala style biryani. The menu was surprisingly chock a block with quintessential malayalee delicacies, from Pazhampori to Parotta and what caught my eye was Kallumakaya (mussels). I've never eaten Kallumakaya at a restaurant here in Madras, and was excited on trying it out. We'd ordered Kerala parotta, Beef Varutharachath, Kallumakaya roast, Beef Biryani. The Parotta was crisp and flaky. The curry was well spiced but not spicy. The parotta had soaked up all the gravy and the beef was soft. The biryani was wonderful, reminded me of what I get back home The rice was light, the masala was a bit spicy and had a bit of sweetness from the onions. Kallumakaya was the surprise of the day. It was fresh, a bit sweet, soft (not chewy) and the masala was very good. All in all a wonderful meal with quick and efficient and homely service. Will definitely visit again.

Here you can enjoy authentic traditional style sea food in a relaxed atmosphere. It's a no frills place with good food served by passionate staff in a well-presented manner. We wish the promoters all the very best for their future ventures!

What I like about this place! It has homestyle food from the southern part of Kerala specifically from Kottayam! The food is cooked by the achayathi / the lady of the house. The place is tastefully done with some simple eye catching wall painting and wooden benches! The food was simple with a total homemade flavour from a mother's kitchen! The meals was basic with avail, thoran, Sambar, rasam, moru, pickle, papadam and payasam. We ordered for mathi/ sardines, beef fry and Kappa biryani that was extra. The chai kada outside is classic. Parking is an issue, but they will have valet soon.
