Awesome place for seafood!!! But expensive, but worth it. I tried the Singapore Chilly Crab, Tuna Sliders and parotta with Jaffna Mutton Curry. Everything was excellent.

Great ambience, great food. Small place but good food. Desserts are awesome. They had a mango cake which was just so bloody delicious but am guessing it might be a seasonal dessert. And their canoli was also superb.

If you're a seafood lover this is a must must visit place. However, you need to reserve cause it's a very small place where it has only 4 tables. The ambience is neat and pleasant. Must try the ghee roasted prawns, softshell crab. We also had Parotta with mutton gravy which just melted and the prawn friedrice is to die for. Finally we finished it off with a Tiramisu ❤️ It's a bit pricey but the food is worth it.

Fresh seafood for sure. Singapore chili crab was nice. Prawns also nice. But did not like the fish and chips. The batter was too thick and feel a bit uncooked.

Awesome place for sea food. Delicious and fresh only disadvantage is the dine in space constraints. But the taste and ambiance makes worth the wait. If u book early. U r lucky.

The outlet might look small and cozy, but its a definite go-to for its drooling taste. Their prawn popcorns, grilled chicken and orange pannacotta are my cult favourites!! A must try sea-food dine in..!

Kai from the sea is an absolute winner when it comes to it’s food - all the dishes we tried were fabulous right from the drinks to salads to the curries. The quantity is pretty great and we left with a full tummy and a smile on our faces. Highly recommended! Highlight dishes - papaya salad with prawns, Goan curry, blue pea lemonade , ghee prawns and sol Kadian

Small seafood restaurant on ECR but with a big potential. The food we ate was good and fresh . But I personally felt the menu was heavy on prawns for the main course. They offer both indian and other world cuisines. We tried both and were happy with the taste. However, I didn’t feel the choice given in the menu was balanced. Will still recommend the place for a meal though scattered for its quality and taste.

Kai from the Sea... Now here is a pearl in a sea of restaurants in Chennai... A small but intensely personal place. Great for small family gatherings. Food is made to order, service is wonderful and personal. Sea food is their speciality.. like the name didn't give it away..😀.. Now the Taste... It's was just Wow!!.. flavours from the sea but you could taste the freshness of the fish. If you are a seafood lover you know how important that is... Especially when the squids served doesn't have the after taste you know it's a fresh catch... So the fried squid is good, the goan fish curry is lip smacking ...couldn't get enough..so is another Andhra preperation of the fish ...both were gravies along with rice... The Ghee roasted prawns was awesome and flavour filled. Rice was special and aromatic. Overall a wonderful experience, if you have not visited this chic but tasteful decor place with flavourful food... I highly recommend. The price is completely worth It for the Quality and Personalised service 5/5 Thank you Team Kai!!

Mediterranean sea spread was unique especially their soft crab,Calamari rolled in crumbs were real standout. The sore point was their seating.... before you enter the restaurant it ends 😔but they really made up that short fall with their delicacies and services.

This was a pre-new year celebration. Small quaint little place on ECR. Very few tables…think jus four, so on weekends / holidays suggested to call and book in advance. If u want to try sea food across cuisines then this is just the right place. They have all the popular fish / sea food variety and cooked in the best cuisine option. We tried the Lobster (yeah that will be priced based on the size so do check with staff before ordering). That was also the most expensive item on our bill almost 3k but worth it when considering the quantity and taste. The staff will de-bone and serve if needed along with bread or you can be adventurous to try yourself. The Calamari (Love the dip that comes with it…mostly the spicy marinara) was good too, surprisingly it wasn’t chewy like most other places. Try the sol kadhi for those not acquainted with Maharashtrian food, it will be a lovely treat, blue pea flower lemonade a little too sweet and aerated, can be avoided. Anchovy fry was also good, goes perfectly with the Prawn Pulao. The 2 best things I tried was the Kai Special Prawn Pulao & Blondie dessert…must try. The Pulao is a great mix of spices with delicate prawns and generous taste of ghee. Blondie a very understated and visually less appealing dessert but taste mind boggling. We also tried the Tiramisu but Blondie beats it hands down. A perfect balance of sugar & salt, crisp almonds & soft caramel. Overall loved the prompt and efficient service & great cooking. 😋 Only would have wished for the sea to be next door but after eating so much across the road was also too much effort. 😜

Excellent for fresh seafood. Must try is the Prawn Ghee Roast. The Risotto is a tad diff due to the rice. Not a fan. Desserts are quite a gastronomic delight too. The restaurant by itself is very small with 3 tables, hence reservations are a must during weekends. Overall a must try when in ECR.

It's a fine place for fresh sea food and you have a reserve table for it. The food taste is similar to other restaurants but the price is comparatively higher than others.

Just adjacent to PVR ECR theatre. Very good place to try sea food varieties. Around 1500 per head. The ghee roast prawns are a must try. Chicken salad was good. Green Thai threadfin was manageable. I totally dint like the mixed sea food risotto. Its flavour was too bland, no salt and smelt of bad cheese and tasted undercooked. If you pick the right items, u will enjoy this place!
