I love these 3.5 pointers, no nonsense ones which we usually don’t prefer to go if given a choice. Chettinad Treat is one such restaurant. Formerly called Eataholics with IPL live screening. But it’s rather uninteresting and you don’t feel like going even if you see it daily.

The restaurant and parking space was huge. Bigger than what I expected. But empty as expected. The restaurant was dimly lit and resembles a no nonsense bar where you don’t have to wear your shoes. I guess it’d be better that way. Make it a bar and put a TV in there, it’ll attract a lot of people. 

We ordered Idiyappam and Parotta. We were lucky to get the former as mostly it’d not be available at nighttime. Parotta wasn’t that great. Mutton Chukka gravy was brilliant but the pieces were few and chewy. Chicken Fried Rice was the usual and the recommended Chilly Prawn was really good. Loved the way the Prawn was fried before being put in the gravy.

In all a decent experience for the money spent.

They take only 20 minutes to deliver food. In love with their service!! Been our favourite restaurant to order food nowadays. The egg fry is one among the best!!
