Visitied this restaurant upon a friends recommendation. They serve on a banana leaf instead of plates which is a south indian style. Ordered a chicken biryani and a fish fry for lunch. The restaurant makes Kongu Nadu style biryani which tasted amazing! Ambience was decent. Quick service and priced according to the taste.
Wow! What an eat-out joint! The chettinadu food is awesome and probably one of the best in terms of taste, freshness and appeal!
The fish, mutton and chicken Curries are mind blowing. Simply good! Burp!
I have picked up a takeaway and had the Biryani at my hotel room. The Biryani is so good with flavours very evident and smoothing. And the packing is too good to have the Biryani directly from the box packed.
A perfect place for nonveg lovers... Nethli fish, nali elumbu, fish fingers, palipalayam chicken.. some dishes are best here...
A must try dont miss...
Nice south Indian food I had still now with 10 varieties and the response of delivery person is also good and I prefer south Indians to get from here only
This is a very food place if u want to have Asian non veg, especially Indian as everything is spice and tastes really Good and I love it. This is one of the best places for south Indian non veg.

One of my favorite briyani spot in coimbatote. Went for lunch and we had mutton briyani, chicken briyani, veech parotta, chicken boneless 65. Jr.kuppanna is my goto place always. The gravy(salna) they provide is just heavenly. Taste is consistent, which is very important. Food is delicious.Highly recommended place for all non-veg lovers😋

Briyani is really good,,,,,expensive,,, but erode jr.kuppanna is excellent in taste,,,,,, veg person shouldn’t even go for company with nonveg friends as no much variety for veg,,, better stay out,,,,
I ordered paratto and plain naan, with plain gravy.
Gravy is one of the best I have tasted in recent times😋😋😋😋😋😋😋😋😋.
I would suggest my frnds also... All the best keep rock😀😀😀😀😀😀
Excellent briyani :) one of the best in Coimbatore!
The only con i see in junior kuppanna is somehow I haven’t felt the same tase and quality in their other outlets in Coimbatore. Ramnagar is the best one if anyone wants to enjoy the authentic junior kuppana food.
My colleague forced me to here (best thing he ever did...thanks Chetta ;-))
As I was single (yeah yeah still single) I did order very less quantity. Looking at my confused face staring at a single pager menu, the waiter came to my rescue.
With no any Tamil to communicate I asked him "what do you suggest me ? " He was very crisp with his suggestion, but from one corner of my eye I read :- "Mutton Nalli Fry", and yes this was then ordered with two CP (yeah yeah kerala parota)
Oh boy oh boy what a mutton !
Noooh , it was nor melting in my mouth or neither hard, it was just perfect, that little burnt flavour enhanced these 6 little mutton Nallis....ummmmmm !
Little gravy was served with Parota which was good to go, also Parota was fluffy and dint get hard with time...
Then the same guy appeared from No where and suggested "sir would you like to have LITTLE biryani" (yea little- perhaps he saw me struggle with two Parotas)
There came a small plate full of small mutton pieces and rice with a very good aroma - A typical south indian biryani (Not a big fan of South biryani - A hard core mughalai dum Biryani lover). Though the biryani was amazing dint expect that.
So there came the end to this amazing twisties of flavourful journey.
Mutton Nallis - 250 inr
Mutton biryani - 150 inr
Parota - 20+20 inr
Now the final verdict is here:-
Food is judged with the below criteria
Taste:- 9/10 (it's hard to impress me)
Quality:- 8/10
Service:- 10/10
Presentation:- ( is it really required ?)
Price :- 8/10
ShahzaN's Food meter - 8.5/10 (except biryani)

Pricing is bit high in all food items. They are selling one piece chapati for Rs.30. But food quality is good. biryani quantity is less. Should reconsider pricing.
We ordered 2 full Mutton biriyanis and compared to kerala biriyanis, it was only half biriyani. But the@ biriyani was totally good for our taste buds. It was some kind of ghee tasted and loved it's consistency too. Service was OK. You can surely try one if you weigh quality more than quantity.
If in Coimbatore, do drop in for no fuss value for money robust Chettinad cuisine. It is a very big group with major outlets in Chennai, pondicherry and few other towns of Tamil nadu. They also have a branch in Singapore (where else? Little India). All the dishes are fresh and typical Chettinnadu flavour with very wide choice for non vegetarian clients. We had the favourites like mutton biryani, nalli roast, Nathalie & vanjaram fry both fish varieties - all passed with flying colours!
One of my Favourite biriyani spots around Coimbatore. They Biriyani and Gravy Combination is Heaven. The Raitha is well prepared.Chukka is my personal favourite.
Top spot for Non Vegans! Especially if you're fond of chettinadu food. Their lamb roast was yummy! Also the cold payasam was something unique that didn't taste anything like it so far. A place for distinct flavor which does Justice for the price tag they put on food!
Another great South Indian restaurant in Coimbatore! Very friendly staff and hygienic food. Hot parotta with mutton pepper fry is a classic! The biriyani is wholesome too accompanied with natu kozhi dry.
When it comes to Biriyani, the first place comes to my mind is junior kuppannas.. I have been visiting this place for over four years and still i don't get bored with its taste!Their service should be specially appreciated.Dont miss it if u wanna taste some delicious chettinadu food.
Nice, Recommend 👍😋 we Tried mutton, chicken briyani and chicken pepper fry, its Good and tasty.. service also fast and responsive.. ......
Ramnagar Branch is probably the best when compared to the other franchise outlets. Biriyani is not so great but good. Half Biriyani is sufficient for tasting and try their other other items like Cut Rotti/Chapathi/Parotta/Erode Dosa etc., Sides are very good here I prefer "Naatu Kozhi Chukka" and "Mutton Chukka". I also have tried all their sides Mutton Fry, Mutton Varuval, Mutton Pepper Fry, Boneless Chukka, Palipalayam, 65 B/L etc., though quantity is less quality is good. Nice place, ambiance and sometimes you need to wait (especially sunday afternoons). Their Parotta was once the best ever, now relatively lesser than before and their Idly is like the "Khusboo Idly" fluffy and soft. I do have tried their friedrice it is average. But it is meant for authentic south Indian dishes and its serves its purpose. The empty gravy they provide is probably the best in town and it suits for all dishes!! This main branch of Coimbatore is definitely worth frequent visits!
Awesome place to have all chettinad varieties, Biryani varieties were too good (the quantity of meat was high). Worth for the money keeping in mind the brand name this restaurant has. Had the similar experience in Ram nagar and Town hall branches.
The lamb shop !!
I would say it definitely if you want to taste the different varieties of lamb and they have trademark for that.
I will suggest "mutton nali" at its best anywhere around the restaurants I have tasted.
Mutton briyani, mutton liver , brains and you can keep adding to your order list.
The price is above above average. The ambience is good and ethnic which they have many rooms which is small and compact and suits your group and numbers of persons where you can enjoy your privacy with your family and friends.
Food is good but was spicy for me. Service is just average.
Don't expect any ambiance. They just serve food. Cost wise a little higher compared to its equivalent restaurants
Yummy food!!!! we ordered Ghee Roast paratha which ia crispy and flavorful and a must try.. along with than we ordered chiken chukka which was also good.. and mutton biryani was just plain amazing...
Service to is warm and welcoming.. Though faced a bit of a language issue the niceness of the people clearly make up for it..
A must try when in coimbatore..
A Poloridez Recommendation..
I have been to this place a few times. Whenever I visit the city, I make it a point to come to this place. Even though I am not a huge fan of spicy dishes, some of the dishes they server here are truly amazing. I do feel that some of their dishes are really too spicy, but being a chettinad restaurant, I cannot complain.
The prices and ambiance is also nice. And you may have to wait for sometimes to get your table if you arrive their during peak time.
A great place for authentic non veg food. The service is prompt and fast. Although the food is well cooked, don't order vanjiram meen. It tasted bland and not worth the price tag. A bit pricey.
Visited this place during my visit to Coimbatore. The driver took me to this place stating that this is the real / original junior kupanna. I did notice a few more restaurants with the same name on my way and I was told that they have just copied the names. I tried the chicken biryani which was okay, the mutton biryani was just amazing. This place does have the concept of half plate and full plate. Ambience is decent with a lot of family crowd as well.
Omg. That ghee parota is so indulgent. Never get to try anything else because I always get the same thing.
Ambience is not special but really who cares sometimes.
Junior Kuppanna is a household name when it comes to Chettinad Dishes. They've a variety of non veg dishes. And when I say variety, I mean the 'Brain, liver, etc.' kinda variety. The service is also pretty good. That's enough said.
Good place to visit with family... Love their idlies.... Taste was real good... Meals with parupu and ghee i love it .... Price is nominal .... Attentive staffs....
Was wandering around the area and came across this place. The place is clean and service is prompt. Had the mutton nalli fry, fried nithili (hope I got the spelling right) and parontha which was cooked to perfectly. The portions also is good. A must visit when in coimbatore
Typical Tamil nadu non vegetarian restaurant. My all time favorites pichu potta chicken , pallipalayam chicken tastes good .worth the bucks spent. A home renewated hotel.
it is my favourite non vegeterian restaurant the hotel has three branches in coimbatore i have visited gandhipuram branch in that restaurant i have eat egg kothu paratto it was marvelleous in that hey gave curd raitha &they give mutton&chicken gravy it was nice but the cost was little high and it was air conditioned
I loved their biriyani and it's very crowded in afternoon. They could improve their service. .
Food is really Good.
This is the oldest JK outlet in Coimbatore. I've been to this place many times and got a chance to write about it now.
Pichupotta nattukoli was good. Nalli was average. All the egg varieties that we ordered were good. Didn't like their chicken biriyani this time though. Overall definitely a good place for lunch and dinner.
When we visited Coimbatore, we wanted to have some authentic biryani & some flavourful chicken, checked up on zomato for restaurants close-by & this one was just a 2 minute walk away from where we were staying. Lovely neighbourhood & a lovely old house converted to a restaurant. The staff was very lovely & patient. We ordered their yummy mutton biryani & mutton pepper fry & got blown away! The biryani was very tasty & flavourful & the mutton was cooked perfectly & falling off the bone. The mutton pepper fry had the right amount of spice & again very tender meat & they were tossed with some caramelised onions which was just sinful together!!
I'm waiting to try their outlets Bangalore now. I'm hoping they have similar tasting food.
A better ambience place to visit for food lovers, we tried their mutton biriyani and kothu paroota.it was excellent, as we were n hurry we couldn't able to try their other dishes. But we'll try soon.

Amazing Place. Have been to Junior Kupanna more than a dozen times. For me, best Biriyani south of vindhyas. But it doesn't stopp there - order the mutton fry and have it with the soft, flaky parottas. Service is very prompt. My veggie friends feel their meals (and the specials meals is will take some appetite to do finish) also don't make feel unwanted as happens in many such places.
Unfortunately, branches other than Gandhipuram (and the outlets in Chennai) don't measure up. Once I checked at the branch off Avinashi Road and came to know it was a franchise while Gandhipuram is owned by the family. Not sure if true, but varying standards can dilute the brand.
Regular visitor here for both get togethor and family functions. Has been going there for almost since the restaurant started. It is a kongunadu style of food.
Located in small roads of Ramnagar. As it is always told, best food is found in small corners of the city.
From day 1 to till now the taste, service and quality has been the same. Whenever we think of a get together with friends / family this is the place where we will choose. Even for family functions we take food from here.
They have one of the best meals in Coimbatore for both veg and non veg and it is a must try. Taste of their gravy both veg and non veg is similar to what we eat in home, made out of grinded masala and not with powders and mix.
Must Try: Briyani, Kothu Parota, Fish Pallipalayam, Nadu Chicken, Mutton Chukka, Payasam, Carrot Halwa
Ambience: 4/5
Service: 5/5

Overall: 5/5
wonderful taste. great, quick service. naatu kozhi fry is wonderful. one should taste the special veg meals they provide for lunch. its great. usually we cannot expect non veg hotel to serve satisfying veg meals. but here the veg meals during lunch is better than that in the veg hotels.
In love with this place...Have been here many times with friends, one of my favorite mutton biriyani till date.Raita is classic. Our standard order will be Mutton biriyani,Mutton chukka, and a kalaki. The kuppanna's recipe is unique and masala tastes simply superb. Its ambience is good.Worth a visit.
Gud home style food...am a regular visitor n it never disappointed me...their meals n parotta is a must try...non veg lovers must try this place..
Checked in after almost a year here. The staff were welcoming and attentive for the most part. Ordered mutton briyani which was just right in terms of spice and texture. The raitha was thick and the gravy accompaniment was ok ish. Then tried mutton paya which tasted like malai curry with sweetness in it, the paya was too thick and did not go well with parotta as suggested. It's quite unusual that many seats were vacant despite the day being a weekend , but I could notice the staff were really keen on attending customers. Overall an ok experience.
Pros : Exceptional food quality - must say they are a really good competition in the Kovai biriyani market. Good visitor engagement - they guide really well from checking in to checking out . Food variety - meets the exact taste fulfillment by giving an option of cup rice with rasam and curd after a heavy biriyani.
Cons : Car parking space and waiting time during weekends. They can solve this of they move to bigger a place nearby, or have rent a parking space separately with valet parking
Been to this place a no of times with family and friends and most of time it would be for lunch.. I personally love their meals and biriyanis.. The taste of the gravies are exceptional and too good.. Liked d concept of serving a egg with some Gravy as a add on to meals or biriyani.. In d starters Chicken lollipop and Chukka are my favorites.. The price will be slightly on d higher side but you shall try it for some good food..
Was new to Coimbatore so with my friends suggestions went with him, to my surprise it was delicious had garlic chicken and fish finger though it was pricy it was totally worthable
The best place for Authentic traditional food. Decent ambience along with quick service makes it a must try. All the dishes turn out to be well made and worth the cost. Must try the pallipalayam chicken and also their biriyani which scores well. Do try their idli which is as perfectly soft as a ball of cotton.

awesome taste
I had heard abt this place so much from my colleagues, finally decided to go!! Reached the place, nice airy ambience. We ordered for prawns dry, pepper chicken and chicken chukka all the dishes were really good!! We ordered idiyappam, paraotha and ghee dosa. Idiyappam was great!! Ghee dosa was super average, I have had so much better in Coimbatore. After having food, I realised it was good. But isn't like OMG!! U MUST GO!!
Staff was welcoming!!
Total bill 900 bucks!!
This is why I love Coimbatore!!
The native south Indian flavours come alive here ! A place that the vegetarians should strictly stay away from because of their very very limited choices. Non vegetarian is good and the pricing is reasonable!
Good old South Indian Food! Brain fry and thala curry are must-trys! The idlis are lighter than air, and the curries are rich and spicy. Reasonable prices too!
Chicken Biriyani packed with more cashews and few chicken pieces served with raitha and kurma and one egg too.Mutton omelet is not bad.Pricing is quiet high
If you want to have tasty non-veg food in coimbatore the first place I suggest is junior kuppanna......the Britain is very tasty .The only problem is the noise in the week ends
Love the food in this place ... Ambiance is basic and good. Service was super fast .
We had a attukkal soup to begin, there was nothing special about it . We had bunch of starters, pichu Potta natty kozhi was awesome. Palliapalayam chicken was good. Pepper chicken was great also .
We had parotta for main course which was ok . Briyani was disappointing- both chicken and mutton.
Value for money is great !
Wanna experience rich taste of south Indian non veg cuisine, then this is a must visit resto... Biriyani is great, a bit high on spices and ghee... Overall a good food experience... Try the Chilled payasam... It's a better dessert...
A best place to have a desi non veg meal. The reputation, ambiance, customer service is pretty cool. As of junior kupanna there is no need of much introduction. 5 star to its chettinad curry item and briyani. It will be awesome if they promote their menu with falloda and ice dhosa.
THEY need no introduction.
Kuppana's serve THE BEST biryani in Coimbatore.😋
Excellent ambience. Outstanding hospitality. ( I can bet on this 😎). The only thing you would feel a little grumpy, is that they serve lesst quantities of their side dishes, like chicken and mutton and they charge high. Which is a bit of a downfall. Mostly all side dishes would be above 150, which is not a high price, but the quantity will make you feel so. 🙍. Otherwise, they are the best in the businesses in Coimbatore. 🙋
I always make it a point to have biryani here -everytime I travel to coimbatore.
Heritage of the recipe carried down generations- presented in simple & elegant set up.
My favourite here is always chicken biryani- comes in a humble little tray, but is really filling- especially when given along with the boiled egg in tamil nadu style.
It can't be called spicy- but is definitely flavourful, cooked in traditional seeraga samba rice & topped with little cashew bits. Chicken piece is well cooked & hidden like a treasure. Raita & thick spicy kulambu make it an awesome treat.
Chicken Biryani @ Junior kuppanna is simple unbeatable!!
Native flavour. Healthy food. Spicy celebrations. A delightful place for meat fest! A family treat location. No desserts though. High on money but satisfying.
A place for non-vegetarian fans in town. No one can beat the taste. It's crowded always especially on weekends.
Sure, Yo won't leave even with a small space in stomach.
BEST IN TASTE !!

If u wanna taste a nice, hot briyani, you should take a visit to this wonderful restaurant. It is one of a few restaurant in cbe, where u can get a quality briyani. Ambience is also nice. Mutton briyani iwas good, chicken briyani was also nice and tasty. Enjoyed their chilly fish very much, which was soft and juicy. Chilly chicken was a little bit disappointment in which chicken was a bit overcooked.
Firstly people are going at look at me weird if I write a review for this place based on their vegetarian dishes. This place caters to the hard core non veg crowd but does not fail to appease the vegetarians with their sinfully delightful veg meals and biriyani.
Severs some amazing non vegetarian dishes. My fav is porrata with the chicken gravy. Chilly chicken and chicken 65 is always good to start with.
The food is excellent.
So is the customer service.
Authentic regional Dessert varieties can be included in the menu.
Rates are high. But the taste is toooooooo good just like our grany's kitchen. Naatu kozhi recipe was finger licking. Authentic taste 😋 Parking is the one big problem for ramnagar branch. Rest is dhool 👍
Mutton biryani mutton biryani mutton biryani !!!!!!! One of the best biryani I have ever had is junior kuppanna's . Nicely minted , well cooked , mutton pieces in authentic Tamil style cooked rice will leave you mesmerised. Added to that they serve a boiled egg with it . I usually go for half plate as that is just sufficient and not too filling. We feel it's over priced but it's worth at least for biryani . Class is the ambience which again shouldn't matter for such restaurants. Co operative staff.
My fav spot south indian cuisine and biriyanis. Side dishes are best the egg, chicken, mutton and fish varieties. It's always crowded but their hospitality it's so good so you can easily get a table. Service is outstanding.

Planned for lunch with my friend and landed up going to junior kuppanna resto. Best place to be when your craving for really south Indian cuisine(Chettinad).the ambience is quit good and service was better then experted. The best is when food arrives you'd tend to forget all that , ordered for mutton nalli fry, parotta and mutton biriyani which was absolutely delicious.
would definitely visit this place again..
Must visit for people looking for Chettinad cuisine.
Overall 3.5 / 5.
One of the best places for South Indian cuisine. You get Awesum non-vegetarian dishes. The worst thing about this restaurant is accessing it. You tend to get confused as it is inside a small street(the Gandhipuram branch). The ambience is not great for the most part of it except the family room. Parking is another headache as they don't have a personal one and the streets are crowded. On a Sunday, one might have to wait for quite a long time to get seats especially for lunch time.

Thaaru Maaru hotel i've ever been...sema taste in foods😍😍😍 also having many varieties...definitely worth for its price range...surely will recommend to all of my friends💃💃💃
A class apart. Being a keralite I was less convinced about the mutton biriyani which my friend told me about. To my surprise, they swept me off completely. Systematic, well managed, clean, professional, uncompromising quality. Good after mint. Yuppy place. Need to hit for sure.
Good hotel and good service 😉 but bad atmosphere 😞 so only 4 points. Price is decent and I visited by 11 pm but they treated well . Good hotel over all
Taste : 7/10
Service : 9/10
Ambience : 7/10
Cost : 7/10
The building that houses the restaurant looks fairly imposing at first. You expect an@ over the top Tamil movie villain to walk down the main stairs (where people wait for their parcelled orders) with his retinue of goons.
The service was brilliant with smiles all around. And for someone who'd walk the world for meat, it was a welcome change to be reminded that "meals" is non-vegetarian, and you have to specify the "vegetarian" bit if you want it.
The ambience qualifies as some of the best you find in cities. The all pervading harsh white lights and absence of cubicles remove any chance of private conversations, but that is to be expected from a restaurant whose staff try to make you feel as much at home as possible.
The food itself was fairly sumptuous, the mutton kozhambu being the highlight of my lunch. The portions were quite large, but the customer who comes here looks for quality, not quantity. And this is where they lose out (perhaps the other outlets of this chain fare better). The "fairly sumptuous" food does not justify well the price point of around INR300 a head that this restaurant goes for.
An overall 7/10 for being better than the competition.

Well this place Never stops from giving me what I want exactly from a kongu mess.. I fell till date the Briyani's are the best that too basmati biriyani Tastes too good.. This is the only place I think serves one boiled egg with the meals and the curries are always the best.. You might not find a large range on the menu but what ever is there is absolutely tasty.. Their idly's with fish curry is out of the world.. In Coimbatore One place that comes to my mind is this one.. It's a big place with small rooms it might not be fancy but the food here I think is cooked with real authenticity.. I love this place..!!
Love coming here for non-veg food. Great options for good tasting food. The quality of the food is great here, never had any problems after eating here. Especially love the different parottas and side dishes here. They always give free nattu kozhi soup at the start here which is piping hot and very satisfying
Ambiance ok. The main room has a table and chairs like you find in normal hotels. AC dine room is inside on the ground floor. Biiling is outside. Lavatory is outside. Pre-existing guest house converted to hotel. Food tasted 👍 one of the good food places for non veg lovers. Less choices for Veg people. Yelanieer paisam, you must try 😋 super delicious (sweet on higher side). You can also try Fush popcorn and Kuthu parota. They also serve Chicken meal, Mutton meal, Veg meal. Let me know your feedback
This place is amazing: clean, well-maintained and provides a welcoming ambiance. The service spoke volume of the southern Indian hospitality. The food very tasty however simple was my order. I was missing fried fish, the serving came softly fried and the mutton was just an extra bonus order for me which did not disappoint, must say: the thosai takes the gold medal. Sincerely wanted to thank the lady manager aka cashier who arranged a transport for me since it is quite late to walk back.
Had wonderful dinner with family. Ordered idly with kari kolambu taste was so delicious. Ordered veg fried rice this is first time i saw my kid ate to his heart content with zero waste.
Overall satisfied dinner and place.
It's a very old restaurant chain with the best quality of food. Must try Kothu Parota and Chicken Biriyani.
The food here is the best . My most favve non veg hotel. Their meat feels very fresh and I feel very happy after a good meal. Keep up the taste and quality of the food always. Lovee itt i only like to eat non vegetarian food in this place
Food taste good, service good 👍
But mutton biryani pieces mingled white meat ( 3+1) it's not satisfied ( informed about this your incharge not heard+ careless),.
It is one of the best hotels to dine with your friends. Must try, affordable rates for yummy food. You must taste food here for fulfilling your belly. All food items prepared here are hygiene.
My usual weird food combo is mutton biriyani and Gobi chilly, both were good. Vanjaram fish fry was okay. Ilaneer payasam was an additional must try. They offer complimentary soup with each meal.
Best outlet of this franchise I have ever tried. Food taste is out of the world. If you are a non veg lover this should be on top of your list. The amazing variety and taste of veg meals was a big surprise for a Kuppanna outlet.
Want to try proper south Indian meals junior Kuppanna has always been the goto place. Non veg meals and its curries as are always best here. Good service , good ambience.
Gave only 4 stars because biriyani taste is mediocre. Can do much better.
Otherwise Non Veg paradise.
It was an unplanned visit to this outlet of Junior Kuppanna for lunch. I reached here at 3 but the place was almost packed even though it was a weekday. This is my first visit to Junior Kuppanna as I have been hearing about this restaurant for a while so finally, I decided to check out this restaurant even though it was unplanned.
The restaurant is located on the ground floor of Metro Inn hotel.
╫ Menu:
Menu accentuates mainly on Tamil cuisine. I couldn't go through their menu cards. Chicken biriyani is available in (1) Half for 110 (2) Full for 190. Apart from their normal biriyani, I have seen a special type of Natti style biriyani but I don't remember the exact name. They have also incorporated a handful of dishes under Mutton, Chicken section.
╫
Ambiance:
The place was almost packed and it was bit clamorous with people moving around, falling of utensils in the kitchen and the vehicles plying outside. The placed looked fine for dining and its not that much immaculate. It looked like an ordinary restaurant.
╫ Service:
The service was good. The staff was attentive and brought the dishes to my table without much delay. A lady staff will be there once you reach the entrance. She will help you to grab a table based on the no: of people who are with you.
╫ Food :
I ordered their Chicken biriyani and chicken lollypop. Their chicken biriyani is a typical Tamil Nadu style biriyani. The chicken pieces were all well cooked and tendered. The biriyani is available in both half and full. The rate for the half is 110 whereas for the full is 190.i opted for full chicken biriyani and it contained 2 small-medium pieces of chicken. The biriyani looked yellow in color and it was embellished with cashew nuts as well. I liked the taste. It wasn't spicy. It will completely depend on your liking towards Tamil Nadu cuisine, after all, it's one's personal choice. The biriyani was served on a plantain leaf as they don't serve the dishes on a plate.
But the quantity of the biriyani was highly disappointing. The quantity of the biriyani rice was very less and it is not at all worth for 190. The rate of biriyani is really exorbitant. The accompaniments served along with the biriyani were (1) raita (2) a bowl of gravy and (3) a bowl boiled egg curry. The rate for chicken lollypop was 210 and one plate contained 5-6 small pieces of chicken. The taste was good but the quantity of the chicken pieces was not worth that amount.
Altogether the total bill came around was RS 420. But I felt it was not worth the amount I paid as it couldn't satisfy my hunger ..
The biriyani was served in a small rectangle steel plate and the quantity was less. They are even providing half biriyani for Rs 110 and now I can imagine how the quantity is going to be.
Coming to the taste wise it was fine to me and I liked it.
╫ Payment:
Card payment is also accepted I guess.
Overall it's a good option in Coimbatore for those who wish to indulge in Tamil Nadu style dishes.
The food here is awesome. Specially the non veg items try anything from the mutton items and you will be amazed to taste it. It is located on interior streets near to Gandhipuram. The staff is also very cordial. You can even ask few changes to their style of food and they will do it nicely. Overall a must visit place to eat.
Nice taste but on little expensive side.
It's popular place so I went here for dinner. Ambience of this place is nice not great. I ordered liver masala dry which was really tasty, fish curry which so good ( spicy and tangy) , parotha and chicken fried rice which was also good. Food quality was really tasty but portion size was not as good as price they taking.
Hotel staff is very friendly.
