If you want good Chinese in Coimbatore, do visit Chin Chin. It's like an authentic Chinese place. Totally loved the ambience, the cutlery they use, the food, everything. The fried ice cream there is a must try.
Went for a dinner. Now it’s reborn Chin Chin after renovation. They have private dinning as well. Coming to food we had Malacca Fried rice with cottage cheese semi gravy combination came out well. Best dinner. Residence Coimbatore is back with the taste. 🤗 every one could give a try you would love the food.
Great Teppanyaki.. must try!! The butter garlic squid is also a must have!!
Grilled vegetables in the teppanyaki is also great , goes well with burnt garlic fried rice with eggs
A the place to have a good Chinese food. A more than a decade old in the existence it is living up to the service and taste. The cottage cheese Malaysian is to die for. Keep it up team Chin Chin

Amazing food! My favourite go to place in Coimbatore. Etched in my memories for their outstanding service and flavours. Cottage cheese Malaysian is a must try.
Loved the food & drinks.
We tried Yaki Tori and Calamari. Absolutely delicious.
The cocktails were amazing. I recommend you try PINACOLADA. Really good.
Good place for fine dining. Big sized portions. Excellent Chinese food in COIMBATORE. Their hospitality is unbeatable. Prices are worth the portions
Best place to relish on Chinese cuisine.
Ambience : 4/5

Dessert: fried ice cream
Cocktail:Mint julep a very fine taste.
Just a little faster service will be required.
Always enjoy the food and service here. Being a vegetarian, this is the safest bet for good Chinese food. Love the veg man-chow soup they serve.
Chin Chin has always been our favorite. The food is delicious, among the new items recommend crispy corn, chicken crispy and Malacca rice. The Thai curry is delectable. The staff attentive and friendly.Only downside, no privacy! Conversations sweep across tables and too little space between tables
Went to this place yesterday afternoon! Its a lovely place in the residency hotel! Had paneer chilly, chicken momos, veg noodles, steamed rice, vegetable Thai green curry, chicken chilly , some chilled beer and not to forget the new thing I tried which was fried ice cream! Loved the food and ambience of the place! Must visit this place in Coimbatore!
Chin chin as name suggests brings Chinese ambience and foods
I love their Malaysian cottage cheese in veg starters menu
Tom yum 😋 soup really tastes yummy 😋
Szechwan fried rice n noodles and Thai curry goes good in their main course
Fried Icecream is must try in their desserts 🍨
We been many times here and We don’t miss to try Tarzan honey noodles with vanilla ice cream 🍨 over it
Really yummy 😋
Good Restaurant in Residency but they have limited choices on their menu card. We ordered Malacca Fried Rice, tendon noodles and last but not the least one tasty starter "cottage cheese".
Staff is good and prompt service provided.
Absolutely a place for all that you crave for from the Far East....... yummmmm is all where it starts and ends. Good portion size don't go to eat alone 😁
The cost is high but the taste is much better , its purely Chinese food , we always go to cascade or peaking wen we want to eat Chinese but dis was way too good
After the renovation the food quality has really improved .the menu has a lot more options .they have Thai ,teppanyaki and other pan Asian alongside Chinese now .the new ambience looks chic .
We had the manchow chicken well the man how I ve had so far has always been brown colour because of the soy sauce but here it was indeed white and tastes more like sweet corn .
The butter garlic fried rice, chicken prawn suimai ,crispy lamb, chicken drumstick and Phuket fish are all time favourite .you can never go wrong with these .
The lamb in pepper sauce was okay and lamb was hard .the caramel cheesecake felt like a regular caramel cream cake .
Am a hard addict of Chinese food n one place where I can go with no doubt is Chin Chin ! Love each dish they prepare with no flaws ! Sorry just clicked a fav of my fav .., Chicken Momos .., yummmy yum .. beautiful ambience with the most friendly customer service ! A must visit for all
Chinese food lovers 😍😍😍😍
Easily the best chinese in town. Everything from noodles to fried rice to dumplings were awesome. The fried ice cream was out of the world for me. Would surely like to go back again some day.
One of the best in Coimbatore for Chinese. It's got a classy ambience, the service is pretty good and the food is worth what you pay. But, it's very hard to find a table on the weekend. Must visit if you love Chinese!
Waiting for the Chin chin to be reopened. One of the best places where they serve good Chinese and fried ice cream. Ambience is good and their drinks too.
The most yummiest Chinese food available in Coimbatore which can never be replaced .. The quality and quantity is good... its worth being here .. well mannered staff... good ambience... don miss this place ... desserts is mouth watering specially fried ice cream...
Food is excellent. It's worth every penny. I like the ambience and also I love couple of drinks with my food, that makes it special. Elegant and perfection in the spice. I would recommend for all.
I happened to visiting Coimbatore for a day, and since I was free in the evening, and alone, I decided to have supper at Chin Chin. I walked into an almost full restaurant, and despite not having reservations, I was directed to a small table for two, and comfortable seated. Menus were provided and after politely asking if I would like to order any beverages, the waiter left me alone to decide on what I wanted to order.
Sometimes the eyes are bigger than the stomach! My order consisted of a Bulgogi starter followed by a Tom Yum soup. The main course was an American Chop Suey accompanied by a portion of Kung Pao Prawns.
The Bulgogi was perfectly cooked and the beef used was of the finest quality available. The preparation however was Un-Bulgogilike, and tasted akin to a chili beef. I also found it excessively salty, and cut into smaller pieces like in a chili beef, rather than in larger thin slices similar to what is served in Korean Restaurants.
The Tom Yum soup was among the finest I have tasted, and had a perfect mix of flavours, with a strong flavourful broth, hint of chili without overpowering spices, and sufficient lemon grass to give it that typical Tom Yum aroma. A stupendous dish worth tasting again. There were also sufficient quantity of prawns to last till the final spoonful.
The American chopsuey was an average dish which would have been far better if they had not put in as much shredded carrot as they did. Also the prawns were abundant in quantity, but some of them were unpeeled, and none of them had been deveined, resulting in that unpleasant sand like gritty feeling when bitten into. This made an average dish below average. The sauce and other flavours however were well prepared and tasty with a good mix of sweet and mildly sour flavours.
The Kung Pao Sea Prawns was something off the menu, and was prepared by the chef on my request. The prawns were larger than what was in the soup and chop suey, and had been deveined and prepared in typical Kung Pao style. I was surprised by the freshness of the prawns, and the authentic preparation.
After gorging myself to full capacity, I found that apart from the soup which I finished, there were enough leftovers for another meal.
Too full to consider ordering dessert, I settled the bill, and rolled out of there with my doggie bag.
The service was prompt, efficient, and courteous; the waiters knowledgeable, and willing to customize the preparation to suit individual tastes.
Just as I was leaving, the manager stepped upto me and enquired if I enjoyed my meal. I asked him to pass on my compliments to the chef for preparing an excellent Kung Pao Prawns, and departed with a bag of leftovers and a seriously distended belly! Too bad they did not have pork on the menu!
The final bill was 2,200 bucks for this Princely meal which drained my wallet and left me a Pauper! Although I did have enough leftovers for a hearty lunch the next day.
The Best Chinese I ever had. Must Try Lotus Stem Chilly Honey, Malaysian Cottage Cheese in Starters, Burt Garlic Veg Soup, In Main Course Pon Ching Noodles was Amazing. In Deserts anytime best Cake Ice Cream. Ambience is Amazing but Music is bit Boring.
The best Chinese food on the planet!! A beautiful blend of spice and sugar!! Wonderful place although cramped, never fails to favour ur tummy!!
One of my favourites in the city. Food is amazing. Mouth-Watering dishes. Drums of Heaven is a must dish to try out. Pleasant ambience. Their taste remains same all the time. It's just fabulous.
Yeahhh....chin chin s a very decent Chinese restaurant. No doubt!!. They make food eating more engaging by constantly putting lots of festivals and ofcourse Delicious food n a nice ambience to be in.
Chin Chin - The name says it all
The best when it comes to good oriental food, watch out as they are putting some good offers during the weekday that's the best when you have to visit them as they serve a good variety and you can have it all for an affordable price.
The chengudu chicken deserves a special mention here
This is a must try place and don't miss out
The ever popular and top notch Oriental outlet in Coimbatore. It has great ambience, decor and first rate service. Is generally pretty crowded at lunch so get there early for a nice table.Chin Chin has dominated the Coimbatore scene for Oriental food for quite sometime but now faces serious competetion from the Taj on Race Course road. Food has been top standard here and the Menu offers great variety. The Non veg dishes are well made, tasty with good flavour and offers a fair variety of Schezuan cusine. This being preferred because of its Hot tastes. The prawn salt and pepper is a great favorite as are the Charsu. Veggy dishes have interesting flavours but need to cut down a bit on the red/yellow capsicum. Overall from the starters of kimchi and dimsums to the chilli chicken and prawns the food is good and well worth it.
Chin Chin is perfect place to have chines my fav is Buddha delite,American Chopsey and fried rice... service is also good.. good place to hag out with friends and family... and it is also romantic if u thinkin for date thn u can consider this place.. every time i have been here i have had wonderful time...
Coimbatore's Chinese hub. For me, the taste is just as always. The wontons and the cottage cheese are definite favourites. Ice cream or Fried Ice Cream to finish it off. Very cheap Chinesey music :P

+3.5
The food was good. Absoulutely no complaints. But was it really 'The residency' quality? Was it worth your buck?
I would say no. If it had been any other decent hotel. Then yes. I would have given it a five.
An old favourite of most coimbatoreans... Great food..
They started the trend of fried ice creams and are still at par. Their Malaysian cottage cheese is out of the world. Main course has a decent amount of choices. The only drawback being the menu gets costlier every time you walk in
They are considered the best for Chinese food in the city. But according to me they are a mediocre ones when comes to food. I don't feel that they have a star range in them when it comes to the taste of food. It tasted normal compared to the food served in Cascade or China valley. I wonder why. .. But they have the best Ambiance, just cool stuffs.
The perfect Chinese restaurant without hurting your stomach..the best place to hangout for a feel of environment as well the Chinese food..This is UNBEATABLE
