This was our all time dinner place. Place is always crowded but has lot of tiffen varieties. Most famous is sevai and varieties of dosas yum.if you just want to have a quick dinner and cost effective place you should visit here. Kalaki served is good worth the mention.

One of the best place for food in RS puram. Economically priced and friendly waiters around. This place is a great choice food veg lovers (has egg dishes too) . The taste is good here. The ambience is average. Mostly crowded at the evenings. Their romaali with paneer butter masala tasted yummy, the paneer roast, babycorn roast too tasted good . Amust visit place.

I have been visiting this place since 2005. The food taste for me has been the same since 2005. Yes, the prices have kept up along with d inflation but their taste is the same. Its a perfect place to take a family for dinner. Feels homely. The staff are friendly. Keep it up

Whats better than a large variety of south indian dishes served at its best. The Village is one such place that serves a large variety of Dosas, Sevai, Adai varieties and they also serve sufficient varieties of starters. I do not want to suggest a particular dish to try, it is not a place where you can leave any of their dishes in the menu. So keep eating until you cannot anymore. No need to worry about the wallet's pounds cos they aint gonna take much from it. To finish your heartfelt dinner, dont forget to try Chocolate milkshake and Chocolate beeda. Happy dinner :)

A place that I can never forget in my life. I think almost when I was in 8th or 7th standard, I visited this place.. it was a very small place just the car shed and small place to cook different varieties of dosa.. I was wondering how they can make so many varieties of dosa when my mom makes only couple of them. I often visited village with almost most of them who comes with me.. after a long gap, I visited village again with my daughter. I was astonished to see the growth of the place where I spent my childhood days. Now it's like you name the dish they make it for you.. I really wish you a much greater success and development.. village is one of the pride of Coimbatore. Miss you a lot village.. eager to come next time..
Single word "worth". Large varieties of dosa, seva etc. All the food taste like home made. Medium spicy and feels like homely food. Food price are soo affordable. Do try their hot jamun, hot nd sooo soft jamun lovers definitely like those. Milk shakes are not worth for the price they provide. Service part is taken care by some part time peoples, as they are not into hotel field and service field not much draw back about them, they do their best. Only machine coffee nd tea is available, ll be better if some filter coffees are available for that type of food. Good and separate car parking facilities a few meters far. Definitely a good place for the dinner for people who wants to try many items. Nothing much to say about the ambience nd seating, a normal one...

Have been visiting this place since the day it started. Go here for the variety of sevai on offer. Dosas are pretty good. One of those places which is keeping the mess culture alive in Coimbatore. Glad that they have expanded their menu over years. No hard core North Indian food over here. Could do with better ambience and cleanliness.

The restaurant is just 5 mins walk from brooks. If you're looking to taste different varieties of dosa and sevai, then this place should be on your list. Amongst many dishes we had tried, butter onion sevai and malli garlic roast were particularly good.
Many hotels may come and go, but this is would remain for many more years. A rare eggetarian hotel with a typical south indian mess style. The sevais and their aapams here are worth the money. Rest of the items are of standard taste and wouldn't disappoint.
We went here once when we had booked for a movie in a neighbouring theatre. We had to wait a while to get serviced. The food was pretty good. We had Egg kothu parota and dosas.
A decent place in RSPuram which serves veg food along with egg items. They made us wait a while for an egg omelet parcel. The food is decent. The place is saturated with huge bright colored ads and looks more like a billboard hotel.

Must Visit Places in Coimbatore - #1. Owing to the fact that, health foods are sold in this city than junk foods. A relative of mine strongly recommended this place to try for the food and experience.
It's in RS Puram - in between Rex hospital and Brookfield mall. They have separate parking space for cars (Have the bill with you to drop the parking charges)
This place used to look like a street in village with benches made outta coconut tree stem. The kitchen, walls 'll have the village vibe. But, they have altered it because of commercialization, in fact literally they have banners, light ADs throughout the space which made me feel guilty about our society's urbanisation.
The menu is extensive and almost everything is innovation here, but the menu card doesn't have prices in it. A cycle with hot flask container came to our table, they serve soup - it was kollu soup with mint topping. Then ordered day's special - Navaratna dosa, navaratna sevai and egg balls. The dosa was good but spicy. The sevai was a bit overcooked but tasty. Egg balls was nothing but mutta paniyaram , nothing worth mentioning. Mixed veg adai was really good.
Sola dosa was different. The Podi dosa lacked sufficient podi in it, should have scattered the powder alone instead of mixing with oil and applying. The babycorn sevai was different and executed well. The gulab jamun they served was soft, hot and too sweet.
Service is impeccable. Though they don't follow uniform, they ensure you have a pleasant time. They seamlessly serve for 30-50 at once. Dish preparation time is less. Pricing seems cheap and reasonable.
Happiness is seeing VAT is 0% in a family restaurant, came to 660 for 6people.
Loved the variety of dosas available here. Though I'm not a dosa person..The choices of dosas actually made me taste a few. The meal including other dishes ordered were really yummy stuff. The ambience could be improved a little more so to the name 'the village' but loved the experience. The cost is also very reasonable and easy on the pocket.
At the end ...The chocolate paan is something one must definitely try. (Paan eaters). I simply loved it.

Decent food. Nothing in particular impressed me. But the ambience is bad. Too much of bright lights and advertisements. The place is hot. Getting a table is difficult in weekends.
Good place to have nice South Indian food. Don't go there if you are planning to sit there for long and talk...it's service is lightning fast..and u would finish ur meal in close to 20 mins...not a good place for ambience lovers ... Place server more than decent food ..there are an array of sevai and dosa .. You can always go here for a quick meal ..the food is worth the buck u pay

Village is a must try spot in coimbatore. My brother and I visit every now amd then bcoz of its variety and cost effective veg dishes. Paniyaram, Sevai, Dosai with different types of chutneys are pure delicacy. Desserts are superb. Bestest place for veg food.
My favorite place for chicken. THIS PLACE FULLFILLS ALL MY local kovai food cravings. THEIR ALL DISHES ARE REALLY GUD.

Great place for cheap and delicious south Indian veg cuisine. Brookfields is in close proximity so one can jump in for a heavy-on-the-tummy-light-on-the-wallet styled dinner after shopping. Place seems crowded on most days but it has a good josh to it! Filled with advertising hoardings around, don't expect superior ambience, but you won't be disappointed on that front. Food was served quick and hot,and most of them were delicious. Try the sevai varies and paniyaram. Kothu parotta was a disappointment. Egg balls were a nice addition along with the number of dosa varieties. Go here for a proper veg dinner at a reasonable price.

Love the varieties of dosai and sevai. Plus the delivery is super quick after getting a seat. The little children play area is a nice addition too.
Only drawback is its hard to find a parking place and at times, at times I decide to skip due to lack of parking.

This place gives you a different ambience,surrounded by advertisements and you get to eat in a different atmosphere.They have a small family seating in the front too.The food varieties are home style cooking,Sevai varieties are quiet good.Egg chapatti roll is filling and does give you a Kati roll in South Indian style

The one and only best place for having south indian tiffins with a wide range of home style menu. What can tel about the dishes everything is finger licking. I love idly, paniyaram, kollukati, panner sevai,garlic sevai , podi dosa and naan. They server all the dishes with varieties of chutneys and sambar. The cost is very cheap too. Can fill your tummy with how much every you want.

Have you tried their 'Butter Dosa'? If you answer 'No', make a mental note to try it next time. No wonder this place is a hit. Quick service. Tasty food. Epitome of Coimbatore food. Have always loved their dosa varieties and sevai varieties. Never make the mistake of ordering North indian.

This place is famous for there homely food. The food over here is very tasty. You will get all type of local food over here. This place doesn't look that fancy, but trust me the food is tasty. Recommend to all.

Enroute to bus stand with a very little time, we entered this restaurant for a quick dinner. Parking was in a open ground opposite side and walkable distance. When I entered I was surprised to see a big hall fully crowded and the walls of restaurant had various advertisements glittering. First time I'm seeing a restaurant having display boards in the dining area. Ordered for butter onion sevai & Adai dosai, romali rotti, mushroom dosai very good in taste. I'm not sure how the waiters keep note of the dishes served and give the bills in such a huge place where people are coming & going. The dosa's are tasty and soft and with chutney and sambar tastes great. The service of the staff has to be mentioned specially since they attend everyone with a smile. I had dinner from the Village Restaurant with my friend. The rate was very reasonable and this restaurant is good to dine with family or friends..
