Ghee podi idli is simply awesome....
Visited the Ravichandran Tiffin House with family for breakfast. Ordered thatte idly, regular idly, masala dosa, onion rava and vada. Food was tasty including chutney and sambar. Only vada was slightly disappointing as it was not hot. Their butter sevai was also awesome
The best place to have authentic south Indian veg dishes at rs puram. The must try here is thattu idly and butter appam. The meals is super tasty. They have ample of choices for delicious dishes. The price of food is affordable and it’s absolutely worth for the price. Simple ambience and tasty food.
Nice pocket friendly place to have dinner..... 3 of us after finishing doctor appointment in R S puram searching for dinner... Since most of the restaurant will be closed or will be out of main items we decided to go to this place.....
Nice little casual place.... It was crowded even at 10:30 pm.... We were to wait 10 mins to get seat..... sambar, 3 different chutneys are kept in common for each table.... Ordered thattu idly, podi ghee thattu idly, roast, onion rawa roast, filter coffee, sukku Paal..... Stand out being thattu idly which was soft and puffy... Goes well with the chutneys and sambar..... Sukku paal was good too.... Finally Rs. 302/- for 3 persons tummy full dinner is real VFM.... Service was quick and friendly.... Definitely must try
Ordered a Butter Appam,So cheap, Yet tastes so good. Variety of South Indian dishes to try out...Must try if you are interested in South Indian food.
I used to order Thattu idli with ghee podi, one of my favourites and idli fry. The taste was good not overdone, nicely packed. I didnt have to take chutney or sambar with podi idlis. I also like their chutney roast which is unique to this resto. Roast with coco and tomato chutneys spread. Reasonably priced dishes. Havent visited this place yet. Must try both. Keep up the good work.
GOOD vegetarian restaurant for South Indian food. North Indian varieties also available.. Tiffin items are excellent quality. Good location in R S Puram. Decent ambience and seating.
Very good and friendly service. Food is alright. Fried rice, Gobi fry, mushroom fry are all good. Noodles not that good. But all dosa items are really good.
Good food good life like eat healthy live healty
very good food all must try and order through zomato very good food salem ravichandran tiffin house
Been hearing about the place but could just go now. Decently priced and the dishes are nice. The roast I felt was better than the other big south indian resto. Coffee is also served and it's nice. Place is little cramped but no complaints
Alert - I am rating it 5 bcz it will be seen on top.....
When I go to the restaurant and order food the chutney served are proper and fresh .. but when order food online the chutney are completely mixed with water and delivered. I feel as if I am having a juice with dosa or idli . It is a wrong practice . Kindly please rectify it.
The taste of thattu idly with the tasty sambar makes me crazy and dominant
Simply food with simple cost
I visit daily to the hotel to taste only of sambar😋 and idly
Taste of sambar is appreciated. Masala sevai is ok. Mushroom parota is too good. Rava roast, pepper idly, thattu idly, mushroom roast also tasted good. Worth for Money.
Good place for some simple tasty food. Pocket friendly rates. Go to place for a quick meal. One of the few restaurants that serve good sambar and chutney.
Try Podi idli, tomato dosa
This is one outlet with superfast service. Water was served to us the moment we sat on the table and the food was arrived in matter of minutes after placing order. I tried Ghee Pori Thattu Idli & Onion Rawa Dosa and liked it as well. Although I don't like having Idli but they made it quite well. Also, they make nice filter Coffee. I wanted to try their Idli Manchurian but was out of stock somehow. Maybe I'll try that in my next visit. Overall, one nice and cozy hidden gem you must be trying. Highly recommended !
Coming here and eating authentic South Indian specialities piping hot after a tiring day of work or a cold rainy day must be on your to do list! They serve the most delicious idly, dosa, paniyaram, chutneys and sambar at very reasonable prices. Must try if you want a change from Anandhas, Annapoorna.
Must try for authentic South Indian food..small place..thaat idli, dosas, fried that idli with chutney and sambar..eat local style on banana leaf with hands..amazing chutney sambar

Cosy little gem in my neck of the woods. I don't review restaurants all that often, but it is a travesty for this place to have a 3 star review on Zomato and hence I decided to do my bit to bump up the ratings a little bit. Where do I even begin - I am literally wiping drool off my lips as I think of their sevai - and no it is not the same as semiya for my non Konguland friends. Even watching the guy's sleight of hand with the pan as he fries the sevai falls in the realms of legerdemain and is quite a spectacle in itself. I'd even pay to just watch him in this act - always been amazed by how he pulls it off every single time with minimal wastage and the result - the tastiest sevai anyone can conjure (sic). Almost magic (mersalayitten)! The so many varieties of sevai - plain, onion, butter, butter onion, masala, tomato, vegetable - make sure that there is something for every palate. And their oh-so-good chutneys! I can never have enough of the white (coconut) and the green (coriander) chutneys. The sambhar is just about okay and is as flavorful as any in Coimbatore, not in the Annapoorna league though. I also like their thattu idly which is best eaten piping hot and so I generally don't do parcel (take-away). Started off with the idea of writing a two line review but couldn't resist waxing eloquent on my favorite joint in Coimbatore!
Really good place to have some spiced up butter sevai onion sevai and some hot thath idlis. Small place with some good time for your appetite
Good place for the sevai and dosa varieties , this place one used to serve those spicy chutney but now they have brought down the spice level . Good work , they have opened north indian cuisine in 1st floor . But haven't tried it . Went there for a plain dosa , masal dosa and for a parotta . 4.5 for all these foods . And they add ground nuts to sevais , personally o don't like them . But the food tasted well excluding the nuts . You get varios types of chutneys too . Good food , but the place is tiny . Not suitable for a family of 5 ppl or so .

Famous joint for thattu idly. Not a good place for ambience lovers. Sevai, dosai dishes are good here. Joint is pure veg. Filter coffee is good here.
It's been more than 2 years since this famous Caterer opened up this small tiffin house and they are serving really good food from the start. They are located close to Rao hospital and it is easy to figure the place with this landmark. It has a mess type setup and they have limited tables which is quite disappointing.
They have a good number of steamed dishes and dosas.Served with 4-5 varieties of chutneys.Overall it's a pocket friendly place to have some good food if you don't mind dining with an average ambience
A must try for all south indian food fans.
The variety idlys and dosas are very tasty and reasonably priced.
The sambhar and the different kind of chutneys would trigger your taste buds.
Reasonably priced. No ambience. But when the food is good, the ambience doesn't matter.
