This restaurant is very near to Coonoor bus stand and adjacent to New variety hall which is a well reputed shop of fabrics and sarees. Vegetarian food options available for both South and North Indians. The staffs are friendly. During my last visit a few years back I had seen some pictures of floods in Coonoor hanging on the wall of a restaurant which are missing this time.
This Hotel is located near the railway gate and the market.

Following Anthony Bordains advice of going to the crowded place where the locals eat, I stopped in here for dinner after riding the Nilgiri Mountain train. Simple, tasty South Indian food with good service. Would have gone a second time but was totally packed at lunch time.
Very good vegetarian restaurant to go near coonoor bus stand. Service was very good. service was very fast. All the chaat items were very good especially dahi puchka and dahi papdi. In main course, chola bhatura was very tasty. I also tried chilli parota but was below par. But fried rice and gravy were served hot and tasty. so definitely a place to consider if you are going near coonoor bus stand where there are lot of available options for dining.

This is very good Hotel in Coonoor,only cause is this is very nearby Bus station ..and the railway station,and the market also...huge crowd due To Good Quality Food...otherwise u will compulsary park ur vehicle nearby paid parking lot....this hotel don't have parking seperatly... otherwise Staffs and Services...all or ok....Main think is Very Good Food....with normal Price..better then .Compared to any other nearby Hotels.....i am 100% Suggest This hotel only...don't go anywhere...😊😊🙏🙏🇮🇳🇮🇳🎉🌹🌹🌹
The dosas were great we ordered ghee roast dosa , onion dosa boht were very good and we ordered mini idly which was good as well.
Plus we didn't even have to wait long for the food they prepared it fast.

I am from Delhi and was on a trip to Tamil Nadu, when I found this place, I hardly share my review about something on internet but for this place I really wanted to do so... let's begin!!!

It's near Coonoor bus stop & in the main market of Coonoor, while having your meal you may enjoy the cultural activities ongoing outside. When I visited there was going a festival they placed a Big 🐻 & cultural music was being played though I don't understand Tamil but still I enjoyed and asked the owner about the festival. He tried his best to make me familiar with the festival.

As I was far from my home & being a North Indian was craving for some Non South Indian food so I got some good food options there. I ordered for Puri Chole & Paneer Butter Masala with chapati.
I would highly suggest their Veg. Fried Rice. That helped me alot in my long bus journeys while moving from one place to another overnight.

Hotel Shri Lakshmi is at the upper bazaar junction, and is where cunoor, Ooty, Wellington junction meets.
We stopped by to have breakfast, and we had the mini tiffin. There was pongal, mini idly, kesari, dosa, vada, with coffee/tea at the end. It was a very satisfying meal:Tasty as well as sufficient.
The ambience is good and service was also quick. Only issue is that, the washroom is on the second floor, and you need to get the key from the reception.
Parking is also available right opposite.
Great place, for a quick meal stop. Would highly recommend.

Very nice staff with well served food. Worth for money. Taste and quality is good at Connor main town. Toilet is available at 2nd floor seperately which is not maintained properly. Reception staff will provide you key if you want to use bathroom. Outside parking for bikes are available. Car should park at payable parking area which is located opposite to hotel.
