A must go place if you're visiting Darjeeling. And must try dishes are Sausages (which they make their own) and hot chocolate. I could I've missed it.
We didn't have to wait for long. We ordered chicken sausages with fried eggs, egg sandwich, hot chocolate, vanilla shake and vanilla softy.
Amazing decoration, amazing view and amazing ambience with quality food.
An iconic place in Darjeeling! Perfect for breakfast! We enjoyed an amazing service during our visit!

When art, culture, tradition, and movies converge with colonial and culinary heritage, you find Keventer'sβan icon of Darjeeling!
A visit to Darjeeling is incomplete without indulging in their breakfast. Over the years, this establishment has consistently upheld quality, authenticity, and delicacy at an affordable price. I'm particularly fond of their hot chocolate, chicken and pork breakfast platters, bacon sandwich, pork hot dog, and ice creams.
However, be prepared to wait in a long queue, with waiting times ranging from 30 to 60 minutes during rush hours, especially in the morning. If you aim for a seat in the old terrace (featured in many movies, including 'Kanchenjunga' by the legendary director Satyajit Ray), the waiting time will be even longer. Understandably, service slows down during peak hours. Nevertheless, I've visited during non-rush hours, like early evening, and enjoyed delicious food with prompt service and without any delays
Very famous place in Darjelling as it's 100+ years old. Food quantity is good, not great. But the coffee here is really good. The open clock tower view is the main attraction here, but you can't have it because of a big tree that is blocking the view now. I would prefer the garden view as it has a open deck view now of the valley. Overall nice place but the long waiting queue is not completely worth it in my opinion.
Famous place for eating in Darjeeling β€οΈ
Their meat platters, Darjeeling tea and softy ice cream π¦ are quite delicious and famous. They have both indoor and outdoor sits. Great place for breakfast and also lunch. π₯. Very beautiful ambience and site scenery. It is a must visit place in Darjeeling.
The most awaited place to visit on my bucket list. Our homestay was far from Kev's also a driver didn't show up at the right time of the day but still I was very determined to visit so I just opened the Google map and started walking. it was about 1.8 km away from our stay.
Anyway it's very very easy to locate , you just hit the mall road and you see Kev's.
Many people told me that there is a long queue all the time especially in the season, but I was lucky. I went there and it wasn't really crowded.
Had to wait in the queue for five minutes.
What I ordered -
1. Sausage bacon ham and eggs fried - it's a platter. A really good platter for those who cannot eat too much at one go. So excited to order the pork platter but didn't as we weren't too many pax. Or was a decent choice. Amongst all of them the pork sausage was the best.
2. Chicken meat loaf and eggs fried - Decent choice too. Well I had to order some chicken items as my mother was trying pork for the first time lol! She was really scared that she'd like it or not but ended up loving it!! π«£π«£ Anyway the chicken meatloaf was a bit salty.
3. Hot chocolate shake - enough in quantity. Basically you'll need it when you're in Darjeeling. I wore a jacket and started to feel so hot after having it! π₯΅ Delicious too.
A must visit place. Also there's a beautiful view of the mountain from the rooftop. Kev's you have my heart! I mean, what else could be better than sipping chocolate shakes in front of a mountain? β€οΈ
Freaking great place. Everybody knows about it and it's famous for a reason, the food is quite good and the atmosphere is amazing. You can literally see the whole kanchenjunga range from here while sipping a cup of coffee . Now ain't that majestic ?
Keventer's is known for a reason. We reached the place at around 8:15 and already all chairs were occupied! There is two types of seating , open and closed. The open type offers great views of the mountains. On a clear day you can see the majestic Kanchenjunga from the roof. The food is good, we had English breakfast with lots of sausages. The quantity is great. Highly recommended
Pretty nice place to have a good breakfast in Darjeeling.
The atmosphere and the view are excellent, and the food is good if you're a fan of English style breakfast. I loved the chicken burger, the chicken breakfast platter was okay, however I didn't like the hot chocolate.
I loved the softy cone here.
I ordered Sausage Bacon and eggs and also Hot chocolate. It was really good. As a guy who never tried bacon before, it was delicious. Though eggs could've been fried a little bit more. The Hot Chocolate was pretty average in my opinion, chocolate was not mixed in the milk well also the amount of chocolate was mixed in that milk was not enough. Also I tried mixed Ice cream (Chocolate +Vanilla) and it was also decent. But hey, It's the first Keventer's, it is all about the history, nostalgia and the view. After all it is counted as one of the iconic eateries in India.
This is one of the iconic restaurant cum Coffee shop in Darjeeling.. everyone visiting Darjeeling try to visit this place once.. This place has a beautiful ambience with Kanchenjunga at the backdrop and it looks Majestic.. in clear sky.. When Kanchenjunga massif is visible in full.. The service is very good and most of the time there is queue one has to wait to get their turn. Hot chocolate is most favorite and famous items in this restaurant other than this non veg items also available here and all items served is delicious , one must try Darjeeling tea here.. The place closes early in the evening, so it's most preferable for breakfast, brunch or evening snacks. Absolutely wonderful..The quantity & quality is excellent.. The Darjeeling tea being served here is one of the best first flush tea.. The flavor and aroma of the tea is unbelievable. I would recommend sitting on the iconic Eventer's Balcony and enjoying the views of Kanchenjunga and finish breakfast with a Coffee.. Though space above terrace is very small it looks nice after renovation and freshly decorated few years back.. Sitting arrangements also available in ground floor but view from terrace is magnificent.. this is one of my favorite stop whenever I am in Darjeeling.
It was my first visit here, didn't know what to expect.
I just want to start by saying that the location is good and ambience is pretty amazing. The food is okay.
The burger tasted pretty good imo. Although the quality could be improved.
It's well decorated with plants and has both open and covered eating places.
Visit here if you want to grab snacks at a good but affordable place.
A heritage breakfast joint located conveniently on the junction of Robertson road, HD Lama Road and Gandhi road crossing. Just enjoy continental breakfast with a cup of Darjeeling Tea with your loved ones viewing the magnificent view of Mt. Kanchenjungha. Little overpriced but considering the ambience and heritage it is a must try place when you visit Darjeeling.
If you went to Darjeeling and didnβt visit Keventerβs, what did you do? π
π This was my first time in Darjeeling and First time in Keventerβs.
This place has a history of its own. Anyways, the food quality was good but it had a lot of salt in it. Too much salt. That ruined my experience. Anyways barring that, the food was top notch.
Must visit this place rather than Glenaryβs. You will enjoy your time and food here.
For me it is one of the finest cafes that I have ever visited.
Location- it is located at the starting of mall road from chauk bazar.
Cuisine-english breakfast
Ambience- nothing can be more beautiful than sitting in a rooftop and watching Himalayan ranges while taking a sip of hot Darjeeling tea ππ€©
Price- 250/- per person.
Experience- as I have told earlier, if you want to visit Darjeeling, you must go there. The shop opens 8 am early morning, but you have to arrive before 8 to get a place otherwise you have to wait. The quality of processed meat is very much good. The chicken platter was very fresh and tasty as well. To criticize a tea sitting in a such place is a punishable crime.
Recommended by everyone, recommended to everyone. Please go and visit.
Keventers in Darjeeling is a culinary gem, where the charm of a bygone era meets the delectable present. The nostalgic ambiance, coupled with the iconic milkshakes served in glass bottles, creates an experience that's both visually and gastronomically delightful. It's not just a restaurant; it's a tasteful journey through Darjeeling's timeless allure.
It's a mast visit restaurant if you visit Darjeeling. The ambiance, the view everything is good. Food is a bit bland bit a little salt and pepper makes it delicious.
We have been there a number of times, not because of the food but rather for the views and the atmosphere. The breakfast is not bad there, the rest is rather fast food.
The coffee is great here!
