This cafe is away from the normal hustle bustle of the city. The premise is divided into two seating areas, one being inside which gives a very vintage vibe and the other is an outside seating within lush green lawns.
The café has a very vintage, attractive and a cozy vice to it. The overall ambience is great but the food offered is average.
The staff is quite friendly and the overall service is very good.
We ordered Hot Coffee, Fries, corn cheese bites, potato bites and found the food to be average.

So a few days ago I visited this place by the name of “Y cafe” in Dehradun (Uttarakhand) on Subhash road, behind St. Joseph’s academy. The moment you walk thru the gates you get transferred to another place and another era. You will not find the normal hustle and bustle of this busy city inside the premises of this property.
With such green lawns inclusive of outdoor seating the building itself is quite vintage. The colour palette of the cafe gives you the feels of an English era coffee house, however, with a contemporary menu.
With the worldwide pandemic global citizens are facing, Team Y is taking every precautionary measure they can in their power to ensure healthy, safe and hygienic food. Not only are they noting the temperature of their visitors and employees but also sanitising the whole place periodically.
I’ve made an attempt to capture the serenity of this place. If I were to give my opinion I would ask each and every one of you to visit this place at least once to feel and enjoy not only the ambience and positive vibe but also their ever tempting food.
Again these guys killed it in not just the aspect of taste but presentation of food too. For all that I tried the menu was vast and extremely scrumptious. Definitely recommend a visit. Well I shall leave the review of the food for another day.

One of the best ambience you will ever see in the city. Lot of Novels, most of them you have already read. Morever, star lights, green windows were amazing.
One of the better places in Dehradun, otherwise food around the town was extremely disappointing. Had the Grilled Chicken burger which was really nice along with the Chicken Sizzler which also was really good. The portions are decent and the prices aren't too high alone, really reasonable. If I am ever in Dehradun again, would definitely visit this place
A very good restaurant with a unique experience. It has all the different varieties of fast food which cannot be eaten by a single person alone comfortably if he has not taken fast from the morning. A very nice restaurant.

This cafe is amazing!! We were spoiled with the variety they had of every stuff. The coffee and smoothie were great and so was the thin crust pizza. I will definitely come here again 'coz I have a lot more to try.

This place is purely an example of Peace, and we really found it here. Awesome ambience, nice decor, food was good.. outside seatings also available.. I loved the cute window curtains, with the handmade stitched images of seahorse, strawberry etc, and colorful cushions.. White walls with wall arts, quotation frames, Charlie Chaplin images, small book stands with books if you want to relax and enjoy your time alone. This place is a total package.. must visit and try Mexican, Italian and English food with best Fusion Shakes and smoothies.. We had marshmallow smoothie, potato wedges and veg Tacos.. all were good and tasty.

This is the place to be when you want to chill out while enjoying yummy food. The ambience is soothing and perfect for reading a book (the cafe has a good Collection), and at the same time happening enough to enjoy company of friends and family. How about a fresh , refreshing and chilled cranberry mojito topped with gardern fresh n green mint leaves with a punch of lemon, that cools your senses from within.
And combo the above with a thin crust paneer and cheese pizza with toppings of olive overall hot and sizzling.
Both of the above dishes just made my day. And also made me a regular to be customer of the Y cafe.
The icing on the cake is the heart warming service and high quality offered by the staff.
The cafe is furnished with all genres of novels, magazine's and games to keep you happily busy while enjoying the delicious food.

Cute cafe to chill at on a weekend! The cafe has an indoor seating(it is inside the ‘white house’ hotel), and has a huge open lawn area for seating as well! They have got you all covered with the board games & novels! Love the thin crust pizza! Great shakes! Double decker sandwich is so tummy filling!

If you are looking for a calm and soothing atmosphere with lots of books and friendly staff then this place is the best but if you are looking for real Italian cuisine then it won't match your expectations much. I was damn tired after my college so, y cafe was in the way and decided to visit and ordered cottage cheese burrito. It was delicious but price is too high. I like the place because of its silent surrounding. Place is worth for one or two people. I like the books there as I am kitabi kida. Ambience is just okay.

After a nice, exhausting and full-of-traffic-because-of-the-long-weekend road trip to mussoorie, we stopped at Dehradun for dinner enroute to Delhi.
Completely unfamiliar with Dehradun, we had an entire list of restaurants to choose from.
Wisdom, experience and hunger brought us to Y cafe.
I personally loved Y cafe. Food in cafes is more or less generally the same. Sometimes the ambience stands out.
Y cafe is really well done. The ambience is brilliant. There are books(a good selection) all around in addition to several board games. It's gives the feel of a nice cosy cafe.
Food is fantastic as well. We ordered burgers, sandwiches and cold coffee. All of the items were great.
Service is also warm and friendly.
All in all, a decent place. Will visit again.
I really liked the cottage cheese burrito and the veggie pizza. The ambience is great but its too small to accommodate a larger group of people. Nonetheless, perfect for a date.
A very beautiful and pretty place to spend some peaceful and comfortable time. The prices are slightly on a higher range but the food portions justify it, I guess. Besides good food, it has games, books and most importantly personal space to offer. The staff is least interested in disturbing you, you may sit for hours with your cup of drink and read a book! Loved the vibrancy of the place. I highly recommend this place. Just one advice- don't follow google maps for this place, instead look for Hotel White House :-)

I went here to have a early dinner, the place being near a market doesn't disappoint you. The place feels like it is secluded somewhere in the hills and as a result it feels silent and calm
The ambience is mellow and warm and felt very comfortable.the place was built to indicate that slow things down and take your time eith things in life, so people coming here for a quick bite should pass and come at a later time. The place had books to board games, my parents being here for 15 mins were saying lets open a joint like this.(I can't impress my parents and its been 22 years, I have stopped trying)
Now lets start withe food, my brother wanted to have arrabiata was not available, wanted to have frozen walnut hot choclate was not available, ordered pasta no bread, ordered pizza no whole wheat base, wanted to pay by card machine malfunctioning. What we did had (spinach fettucini+garden veg pizza+strawberry and raspberry smoothie+triple cheese lasagna) was tasty and worth every penny with our stomachs full and wallets slightly empty(1200 something). Staff was friendly and attentive.
Drinks were very good, but sandwiches and pasta aren't recommended. Best of all is the ambience you get, very light and fresh feeling with novels and games for you to have a good time.

I will start out by saying this place exceeds expectations. The place may be small when it comes to size and to be fair a little too expensive but the food is all worth it. The Burrito here is heavenly, just out of this world. The pizza crust is full of crunch and truly the best thin crust pizza around. The sundaes, shakes, sandwiches and almost everything is wow except for the burger. Burger, here really was a disappointment.
It is one of those place where you can have fun while waiting for the food whether by playing board games or by reading books. If you're in Doon, this place deserves a visit.
Best Italian in town!! I was so amazed to have such authentic cusine! The ambiance is completely different it's of too classical sort. For book lovers this place is a heaven. Service is a bit slow but it's completely fine when spending time in cafe is concerned. In main course we ordered pizza, baurito, white and red sauce pasta. Pizza was a thin crust and I really liked stuff. Pure Italian feeling was there in cafe!! I'll surely recommend this cafe.

A very small cafe in a hotel in Dehradun located near survey chowk. Small in size but is well made with nice and white furniture and a beautiful lawn view. They have a nice collection of novels and board games so one can look forward to having a nice time here.
The shakes here are just ah-mazing! I ordered their meat pizza with bacon and it was just outstanding.
Shakes are very thick in texture and I savoured every single drop of it.
Only thing I felt was that the lawn can be used in a better way and can be decorated further for more people to visit. Also, the rates are too much compared to other cafes in dehradun.

The best cafe of its time. I mean it still is but they say that change is good. The food is amazing here whether it's a burger or a pizza or any shake. The thing thing that makes you think twice is the Price that is on a higher side. Ambiance is a 5 star and service is impressive.
Such a wonderful ambience it has. The interiors are so beautifully done. Such a friendly owner. She even gave us extra 10% discount and complimentary cupcakes. The rating is not for food but for golden staff! Had a tiring journey till Ddun and was looking for a quick snack before retiring to sleep. I browsed Zomato and decided to visit YC&R because of its encouraging reviews. Once I reached there I asked the staff for their suggestions ( for starters I wanted to see how they fair in the category of pizza and burger) they recommended burger to me.
My experience with staff was pleasantly surprising who were extremely sensitive about good relationship with customers and way too courteous on hearing the feedback on the spot.

This had been on my wishlist for quite long now.My search for the best cafes in Dehradun, listed this as one of the them and my sister is a regular at this place.So on a fine rainy evening i was there, all alone for a dessert treat to myself.
Y cafe, is a small place, housed in the White house hotel behind St. Joseph academy. The white house, one of the oldest hotels of Dehradun, is now the cool hang out for the youngest lot of Doon. The cafe is small, but has a warm and welcoming ambience. Interiors are mostly done in white and the posters, pictures and books add colour to the place. They have a large garden outside which makes a good outdoor seating.
The owner of the cafe is a young and affable foodie whose passion for food and cooking culminated into this gem of a place. She can be spotted around happily talking to her patrons.
For food, the Big Bully burger is a great option if you are famished. Gulp it down with some of the wonderful and sinful shakes that they have on the menu.
The chicken pannini is another great order. Munch on the potatao wafers served as a side.
I tried the brownie sundae which was an absolute delight. The brownie was baked to perfection; chocolaty and chewy.
The tea cakes are yummy. Coffee comes accompanied by its friend, the cookie.
I also had a small chat with the owner. The lady w
as gracious enough to send me back home carrying a little banana muffin as a thank you gesture. To my delight, they handed over the bill to me with two beauties. Tiny little chocolate cupcakes with a vanilla frosting and sprinklers . These small little cuties surely got some brownie points to the cafe.
The ceaser salad and pastas are said to be good and i my must try list for the next visit. So see you soon Y cafe !!

Food: white sauce chicken pasta was fine. Average. Nothing great. The chicken pizza was large enough and filled with kabaabs, grilled chicken but there was an unpleasant odour and taste of some sauce in it. For desert brownie with chocolate sauce and ice cream. Yes it was tasty.
Ambience is perfect. White . Work little in the food Department.

It is a delightful café almost give the feeling of the Home. which is located near the Iconic Astley Hall in Dehradun. The Pizzas and the Burgers at this joint are really delicious and are simply fabulous. The Pastas & the Milkshakes are worth to try and i am hereby recommending as well. The ambience is very inviting, but the most significant highlight of this place is the personalized service provided by the owners themselves.

I had to come back to write this review. Its been three weeks when I visited this place for the first time. My friends and I loved it. We ordered their famous hand beaten coffee which was absolutely perfect. The live music and old Hindi songs were the winner for the night. Extremely Courteous host and the staff. I can certainly say this was one of my best experience, whether it was the old Hindi songs, cute muffins or the best milk bread ever. I am certainly visiting Y cafe again whenever Dehradun invites back.
Amazing snacks and delicacies. Went here for desert purpose and already full stomach, so couldn't try much. But definitely impressed by service and the menu items. Looking forward to visit again soon.

Delicious food, especially the Lasagne, it had exactly the right amount of cheese. The sauce was good too. Lasagne should definitely be ordered. We also ordered a Garden Fresh Pizza, it had a thin crust with veggies,
mozzarella, cheddar and Gouda I think. The food took a little while to be prepared but we didn't mind at all after we took the first bite of the lasagne.

The moment I entered this place I loved it, the place, seating, live music, everything seemed so cosy (could also be because of the beautiful dehradun rains).
Coming to the food, we had the "everything I love" non-veg pizza, the meat burger and hot wings. The pizza was crisp, cheezy and delicious; the burger was juicy and the portion was very filling! The hot wings were not that great but decent.
The owner is a very friendly lady who is very approachable and polite. Will definitely come back again to try more stuff!!
“Small little heaven”
The place took me back to my childhood when I used to visit a hill station with flowers all around and sip hot coffee sitting on beautifully made furniture and décors.
This place is a must visit for anyone in DDN. The food is lip smacking. Kudos to the chefs. The cafe itself is brilliantly decorated by the owner and we were quite impressed by the homely feeling by the staff.

Went here for a lunch with friends and was absolutely happy to have done that. The place is just beautiful, and perfect to spend time with friends or even with yourself. Thanks to the amazing collection of books, one cannot get bored here. The interiors are too adorable and hospitality is warm. We had ordered Veg. Delux pizza which tasted better than any pizza I had in a long time: Totally homemade. Five stars for the pizza, five stars for both cold coffee and blueberry smoothie. If there's a rating beyond five, I give it to the strawberry lemonade which took my breath away it was so refreshing. The arrabita pasta was slightly disappointing but it was all compensated by the cute, complimentary cupcakes. All in all, the ambiance is really good with classic English music, books and a homely feel. Cheers to the café and the happiness it signifies. Going back again for a really nice time. :)

Doonites have fond memories of White House, which used to be a favorite venue for weddings ! The Y Cafe is located inside the White House as you enter the main building! One of the few cafes located in the heart of the city to have a big lawn in front. The decor inside has been done tastefully! The place is cozy and exudes very soothing vibes. It's a peaceful place, and you might not feel that you are in the center of the city! There's enough parking available for four wheelers! Overall, it was a nice place to be for a quiet cup of brew with some reading alongside !

I recently ordered from this wonderful cafe online, and I'm absolutely thrilled with my experience! The chocolate tart was a divine treat, with its decadent, melt-in-your-mouth goodness. The paneer tikka sandwich was a burst of flavors, and the paneer was grilled to perfection. Their cold coffee was the perfect pick-me-up, creamy and delicious.
The food arrived promptly and was beautifully packaged. I couldn't be happier with my choice. I highly recommend ordering from this cafe online for a culinary journey that's truly delightful. Make sure to give it a try – you won't be disappointed!
Good ambiance, good place, good food and good music. Easy to reach this place, very hygiene and very courteous. We had Alfredo pasta, cheese corn nuggets, veg burger, chocolate shake. Alfredo pasta was lip smacking good.
Nuggets could have been better.
I have rated 4 star only because of bun used in veg burger. Very bad, no taste and hard to chew. I wonder why such place had such boring, hard and thick buns.

It was my last day of stay in Dehradun. This cafe is amazingly cool. You can get your hands on thousands of books, quotes, wallpapers and play your playlist.
The best part is, it's an amalgamation of hotel, cafe, dine-in, dine-out in the open, take away or just enjoy your coffee with cigarettes.
We tried black coffee, pizza and sandwiches with chips. The taste was appreciable.
The price is also as per normal cafes. You can say (300-400 for two).
The owner is a great guy. I asked him why he named his cafe "Y" and he answered that very wisely. Visit yourself sometimes and ask him why "Y"?
Honey Chilli potato are awesome. You must order those. At my time, coffee beaten was Available and it wasn't good other coffee I couldn't try. So you must go for other coffee. And and and pasta or macaroni( I don't remember) wasn't good.
But this place is very good if you want a place just to sit and do your own things and and there are also books available.
Altogether I will suggest this place.

So a few days ago I visited this place by the name of “Y cafe” in Dehradun (Uttarakhand) on Subhash road, behind St. Joseph’s academy. The moment you walk thru the gates you get transferred to another place and another era. You will not find the normal hustle and bustle of this busy city inside the premises of this property.
With such green lawns inclusive of outdoor seating the building itself is quite vintage. The colour palette of the cafe gives you the feels of an English era coffee house, however, with a contemporary menu.
With the worldwide pandemic global citizens are facing, Team Y is taking every precautionary measure they can in their power to ensure healthy, safe and hygienic food. Not only are they noting the temperature of their visitors and employees but also sanitising the whole place periodically.
I’ve made an attempt to capture the serenity of this place. If I were to give my opinion I would ask each and every one of you to visit this place at least once to feel and enjoy not only the ambience and positive vibe but also their ever tempting food.
Again these guys killed it in not just the aspect of taste but presentation of food too. For all that I tried the menu was vast and extremely scrumptious. Definitely recommend a visit. Well I shall leave the review of the food for another day.

The lovely winter sun, the bright and cosy sitting space, the chicken nuggets, coffee and chicken sizzler was a great treat for Christmas afternoon. However, the complimentary chocolate balls were just okay.
