This is one of the oldest bakery of Dehradun. Dehradun is famous for bakery products and sunrise bakers is one of the reason. You can see people coming and waiting just to buy those amazing freshly baked rusk, you will surely get mesmerized by the smell coming out from the bakery. Every product is my recommendation, naming few would be Pista Biscuit, Atta Biscuit, cake Rusk and Plum cake
I don't know why the rating of this place is below 4. It is very famous and has been mentioned in almost all the videos which talk about food in Dehradun.
We tried it on our last trip and were very happy with their cakes and biscuits. Our favorite were plum cake (very famous), pista biscuit and multigrain biscuit. The rusk is supposed to be good too.
It is definitely a must try in Dehradun.

I am just in love with Sunrise Christmas Cakes! One colleague brought the cakes from this store and I just cant explain the taste. The spongy plum cake with crunchy nuts & raisins in each piece burst your taste buds and you will crave for it again and again! I am going to purchase more from Sunrise!

We all know Rusk has always been a Popular item from the Dehradun City . People who are fond of rusk do come here without fail
So this visit to Sunrise was pending for many years . It's a small shop but always crowded , The staff was kind enough to allow me taste the rusk before I buy as I wanted to make sure that the quality & taste has not gone down . I am glad that it was so soft that even senior citizens can bite it without any difficulty
I am attaching the pics of all the rusk which I bought including their traditional milk rusk , Saunf rusk , full wheat rusk . I also bought their pista biscuit which I finished half before reaching my home in Pune π
To add to my Joy , I had a chocolate Pastry as well from the shop which was equally good . All in all happy that finally visit is completed β

The price was reasonable , The store does not give you even a single rupee discount so don't even think of getting any discounts
The one things which lacks is the lack of their need to make this wonderful product available in other cities or even making it online . Recently it seems they have started but when I called them back 6 months ago to courier to Pune , the answer was we dont supply outside dehradun . So may be they are slowly changing . Here I feel their hunger to make their brand bigger is missing. They are happy selling from their counter . What was surprising was the owner sitting in the cash counter. When you want to grow your business you take initiatives & when you don't want to then you have hundreds of reasons .

This bakery is not only famous in dehradun but across other parts of the country. They have a long legacy of baking mouth watering biscuits, rusks, puffs etc.
I had tried cake rusk, pistachio biscuits & butter puffs of this bakery & they were really fabulous.
This bakery is so amazing π with both quality & taste food is pretty good & for their prices it's 100 % worth it my personal fav is Cream rolls & there buns. Highly recommend π

I would really love if you could make the the round rusk packaging a little transparent so we can see if the rusk are burnt or not as the brownish burnts rusk do not taste great. I have been eating your rusk since childhood i have stopped purchasing rusk because of this burnt rusk issue. Hope you take this as constructive criticism. Thanks
One of the oldest bakery in Dehradun. Quality is its USP. We found no change in quality and taste. Our favourite milk bread, rusks are same in taste since childhood.

One of the oldest bakeries here and they have maintained their quality and standard all this time, which isn't something I can say for all the other bakers out there. One of the oldest and best bakeries in town which has still maintained its quality over the years. Much better than other touristy bakeries which sell poor quality stuff at high prices. You can try their atta biscuit, baby biscuit, butter cake, plum cake and rusk.
Being from Dehradun, you can't not know this place. Everyone LOVES this place. In fact, this is my favourite bakery (only a couple come close). I only chose to review this now, because this is the first time not only me, but a tonne of my friends (in Hyderabad) feel this way (had gotten a tonne of biscuits for them from here, which they all loved).
I can bet you can try anything, and fall in love with every item you try from their menu. Must tries - Pista biscuits, Milk Rusk, Peanut Butter biscuits, Aata biscuits, Butter Aata biscuits, Chocolate cookies, their NEWLY launched big Choco-chip cookies, Almond biscuits, Stick Jaws, Coconut Biscuits and Jeera biscuits.
Both uncle and the lady running the place have been extremely polite whenever I have visited.
