specially there Indian breads are very up to the mark and mix vegetable and Paneer dishes are so good that you will surely visit this restaurant again...

Ordered Dum pukht ka gosht the other day. The meat was tender and the gravy was tasty. I had rung up the restaurant and specifically asked them to see that it was not spicy since the food was for elderly people and they were true to their word.
Good ambience , food was delicious ..we had lunch there (Malai kofta, dal makhani, bread basket ,pineapple raita,etc.) and service was fine . Will go again ..

The Tavern is a fine dine restaurant located at the Crossroads Mall.Great ambience,Great food, welcoming staff and prompt service.What else do we need.Plus there is a lot to choose from their menu for the vegetarians.We had ordered Veg Spaghetti Pasta in Basil Pesto Sauce, Stir Fried Baby Corns, Cosmopolitan with Cranberry Juice, Magnum and Mojito. Everything we tasted was superb. Spent nearly 2100 bucks. All in all a great place to hang out with family or friends. Absolutely recommended.

It has a very nice ambience and the food is also good or okayish sometimes and that's why I gave only 3 stars as compared to the price it is sometimes very disappointing.
The staff is nice and helpful and they also screen live IPL matches and that is a plus point point which compels me to give a plus one star!!
I went their and ordered dal makhani and a plate of paneer butter masala and a sizzler and some drinks , as i came in i was greeted by courteous staff and was seated very comfortably and the midst of nice music which was quite soothing and with a tv with a match on . Then the food was served of which i could’ve said the dal makhani was simply the best in town , full of amazing flavour , the paneer butter masala was also delicious with the paneer soft but the sizzler was a meh ( not myself a sizzler guy, i think! ) all in all , despite the awkward location of such a premium place ie in a mall ,the ambiance and the food was actually very good , kudos to the chef.

My favourite hangout in Mussoorie Mall rd... You can enjoy lovely sangrias and pizzas and even go for a typical Indian meal, lots of options available at this joint. Live music adds to the ambience and the artist is really good.

Tavern at Crossroads has been a place of frequent visit for us! I have gone there with family as well as friends and found overall satisfactory service , ambience and food every time.

They have a good selection in the bar menu. The Chinese is great . Ambience is tasteful enough . The seating provides warmth. There is less of privacy for the guests though.
The rating 3.5 is just for the ambience provided here. I just tried their cafe mocha and its taste was pathetic and hot chocolate ordered by my wife also was not good in taste. People who enjoys ambience more over food can go here and can relax.

Tavern is well located close to the heart of the city . Few sitting close to the bar are actually good for a group of friends or colleagues, rest works well for family outings . The food quality and quantity are splendid tied up with a decent bar menu and tavern can be a weekend spot for a lot . What is bit of a let down is even though the staff is very courteous they lack some training on the customer relation front . I think if the management can help the stuff with quality service and customer relation training it would be one of the the best weekend spot in dehradun.

This was my first time in the tavern.It was during lunch time on a weekday so there was no one.
The first thing I noticed was the perfect restaurant temperature. I hate restaurants which are too cold or too hot etc (basically a little uncomfortable).
We ordered a beer,chicken Florentine sizzler, and Cajun crusted chicken nuggets.
The sizzler was really good in terms of both quantity and quality. The sauce was a little salty for my taste but the mash potato combination balanced it out. The chicken breast was stuffed woh herbs.In all a delightful dish and would definitely try other sizzler here.Anyways one sizzler is good enough for two people.
Cajun crusted chicken nuggets were not actually what I expected. They were not in the form of nuggets but more like sliced flat chicken breast fried with cornmeal coating. They were really crispy and complemented as a beer snack. I liked the fact that they just didn't put out mayo from bottle(I hate when when restaurants say "served with mayonnaise" and it's just plain out of bottle mayo)but seasoned it as a dip
The bill was approx 1300 for two people
Will definitely visit again
Update. 2018: on a recent visit came here on a sunday night the thai marinated chicken tikka were amazing. Apart from that ordered fish and chips and combo sizzler along with 2 beers. Overall the food was really good! And the singer was also amazing! Price was around rs 2100

Nice place... cozy decor, well grilled food and yea very good music. Weekends are particularly good! And it's right in the heart of city and has no parking issues, unlike many places in Dun. Sizzler was the winner for me!! Cheers
Where do I start.. ambiance, service, decor, food all are at par with the best in the industry.. was here just last week to celebrate a birthday.. Tavern is one of the top choice when we want to find out.. an exhaustive menu to cater to all plus a well stocked bar just add to the wonderful experience.. live music is an added incentive.. being a hardcore non vegetarian myself, there's a lot to choose from.. same goes for the veg options.. keep up the good work guys.. will be back soon

The chicken was amazing. Light music adds a cherry to its ambience! The food is well cooked. The rates are bit high but justifies the ambience and food. Great place for a date night.
This restaurant has a great vibe to it . The ambience is good . The food is great I ordered spaghetti in pesto basil sauce it was lip smacking. The garlic bread served with it was amazing as well .. All in all a great place to hangout . Guys do give this restaurant a try I'm sure they'll satisfy those cravings .. God bless .
Poor service which includes :- Plates not cleaned properly ; tissues were not given even after asking twice ; less number of service provider ; no one asked for water went to the bar to take it. One star is for food but food is not everything . One should focus on service quality also !! Hope you guys can understand this

We had lunch here with family. The interior was very good and its one of the oldest restaurant in Mussoorie. We had Kadhai Chicken and paneer butter masala with tandoori roti which was yummy and tasty. Then we also has American Choupsey which was yummy and best dish we had. We had Fresh like soda which was ok. Overall had a good experience.

The Tavern located at the “Crossroad Mall” is the extension of their original branch at Mussoorie. The sheer ambiance of it is very appealing, with all the wood works, it will be unfair if not stated as ‘Ship Themed’ with a great uptown feel. The dining area resembles as one on the ship, with spacious and neatly done seating arrangements, and dim lights this restaurant offers some very delicious delicacies.
Food:
Offering a wide variety of cuisines (vegetarian as well as non – vegetarian) and an elaborate bar menu. So far that I have tried, for the starters, soups such as Manchow and Lung Fung are deliciously prepared with finely diced vegetables, and an accurate mix of sauces served with crispy fried noodles. Vegetarian DimSums – steamed and fried, Paneer Tikka, Vegetarian Spring Rolls are very appetizing and freshly made. Among my favorites are the “Hakka Noodles”, “Oriental Sizzler” served as shashlik on a bed of rice with tavern special barbecue sauce and their “Sole Fish” which has an outstanding taste, be it grilled or served with gravy. The Sole Fish is a must try for fish lovers. To wash it down, my choice, each time I visit is the luscious “Virgin Colada” prepared with coconut cream, pineapple juice, whipped cream and fresh lime, making it an excitingly refreshing mocktail.
Tavern is an excellent place, be it for a meeting, or a nice afternoon lunch or late evening dinner. On certain evenings they have live music sessions with singers who also play instruments (at least at their Mussoorie outlet). Although to some, the prices may fall a little on the higher side, but the experience is worth it! The service is impressive; the staff is very polite and responsive. Allow them and they will send you home filled with contentment.
Situated in the middle of the busy market at Mussoorie, tavern is an urban looking restaurant serving food to appeal to the tourists from metro cities. They serve good portions for pastas and pizzas, decent size burgers available for INR350. food is tasty and and the staff is friendly. music gets a bit loud though.

Many times it happened that we go on searching for a new restaurant but we don't find any other better than this and end up in Tavern.
We found the Pandara Road, Gulati edition in Mussoorie, Mall Road. We were late as the mall road gates opened at 10:30..... So called n confirmed our arrival and booking.....parked right next to their restaurant as the road was emtpy and streets were shutting down..ordered the good old comfort food of north India, butter chicken boneless , daal makhani, and naan plus laccha....just fresh, tasty and relishing till the last scoop, spoon licking delicious. Live music and dance floor atmosphere was super cool.
Located in the Crossroads mall this place has average interiors, comfortable seating, courteous staff and live music. We ordered Honey Chilli Potatoes, Paneer butter masala with butter naan. Food was great in taste and portions were generous. Service was also quick. Overall I would like to go there again!

Well an excellent and suprising place in midst of doon town. The food is delicious and is a must visit. Most of the locals dont visit but i saw many foreigners come over to have a good meal n why not they got the best menu including the drinks which might be costly.
Ambiance is very pleasant .. beer is awesome ..they will serve beer in chilled frozen mugs which enhances the beer taste .. mustard chicken was good ..
I have Bern here 3-4 times and had a great time. They have nice bar and food options. I like the bar setting they have. It's not too large nor too small, just the way I want. They have wonderful food. I love the drums of heaven they serve. It was really surprising. Honestly I didn't expect them to serve such tasty drums of heaven given it's more of Indian type restaurant but every bit of spice and chicken was on point.
I also had proper North Indian food on several occasions. They serve good veg and non veg dishes and their breads are good. One must try stuffed mushrooms, vilayati veg, kadhai chicken and any of the paneer dish. They all are great.

Today for the first time I visited this restaurant. I went there with my family. The ambience is okay type with light music. I felt overall lighting of the place can be improved though they arranged for us a tea candle on the table and create a feeling of candle light dinner. Restaurant is furnished with furniture that gives an old heritage charm of hill station. Now about food..the non veg sizzler " chicken patty sizzler" that we ordered was awesome and well decorated and enough for 3 person. There are lot of food menu to choose from including Indian dishes and also that of Chinese and Thai. In the main course "bharwan mushrooms" taste nice and something different/ new, same also for that of "makhani chooza" a chicken preparation ( similar to that of butter chicken, very nice and tasty... Quantity is good for three. The bar in the restaurant all has good collection however cant comment on that as I havent went there. Cost of the food is as that of different restaurants in and around Dehradun. Overall a nice place to dine with your family at reasonable price.
My husband and I have been here twice and both times we had a beautiful evening. They have a live music session, the singer I must say has a heavenly voice. The food is really good and the staff helpful, their caesar salad and oven roasted chicken are my favourite. If you want to have a romantic candlelight dinner with good live music, this place should be given a visit.
The ambience of the restaurant was very relaxed. The seating arrangements were great. The Food was a delight to the mouth and the quantity was enough.
I ordered the a paneer shahi and mushroom dish both were full of taste, overall the cost is a little high but yes the food is worth the price.

Very mixed reviews from me. Ambience is good. Upmarket and has a great feel to it. Food, is where I have a problem. On certain occasion it was really good, on other it seemed ordinary and not really of a standing. The vegeterian dishes seemed better than non vegetarian ones. However, it is a good experience.

Well , this place serves good food in Mussoorie ! But, to my surprise, the staff was rude to us . I guess it is the restaurant staff which provides permission to their customers coming and acquiring seats . We were 6 pax , and we occupied an 8 seater table near the window , and despite the entire restaurant was vacant , we were asked to leave the table and sit as per the staff !
We went to this place around 7:30 and therefore this place was almost vacant with just three tables occupied in the entire restaurant vicinity .
We ordered 1x2 Veg Hot and sour soup and a veg Lung Fung soup . The hot n sour soup was too spicy whereas Lung Fung was approriately balanced with the right taste.
Then in the starters were "Kumbh Tandoori" which was a dish of mushrooms stuffed with cheese . The starters were very less in quantity , and bad at presentation too . It was bought in a steel utensil which according to me , gave us a dhaba feel rather than a fine dine .
Dal Makhani and Kadhai Paneer in the main course were ordered and they were good to taste along with a better presentation ! All around it was not a very good experience counting in the rude behaviour of the staff .
We sat there for almost an hour and the seat we had previously occupied was still vacant ! We felt this particular incident to be very strange and if this remains to continue I would never recommend this place to any of my acquaintances who visit mussoorie !
But still I would like to rate this place for food : 3.5/5 and presentation : 2/5
A restaurant not to be missed in Mussorie ! Loved the Sesame fried to the perfection Chicken ! Finger licking the sauce ! Beautiful ambience n kind staff to assist for moctails or cocktails ! Food is excellent n a must try! Reasonably priced for the variety !
i think this is the best resturant in the dehradun with great ambience delicious and very hygenic and quality food. what a impeccable service it has. enjoying food was never so good untill you try it at this resturant.it also have a live karoke with bar served throughout the premises.the sorrounding are just like the british style with see through window to outside.

I have got to say, the food was spectacular. The ambience was great, a niche bar/restaurant indeed. The food, whether it be Indian or Italian, was worth the money. The beer was praised and so were the mock-tails and cocktails. There was beautiful singing and enjoyable and memorable memories that were made. Worth a visit.
Met my friend and wife after years. They took me to this place which turned out to be an absolute killer - nice decor, non intrusive & attentive service and surprisingly pop rock at a minimal and soothing decibel level.
Let's now get quickly to the main thing - the food. First came the rara ghosht brown and inviting in taste. The pieces soft and succulent. Southall da chicken tikka masala was a stunner of a dish what with its correct proportion of spices and inherent juiciness. The magnum opus was mustard chicken which should be correctly defined as the tsunami of flavors. If you haven't tried this you have missed out the unmissable. Even the rotis were crispy.
A word of advice to chefs from Delhi - please visit this place to learn stuff lost to you!?!
