Not as per hype. Had chicken noodles, white sauce pasta, veg momos. Food was like any other average restaurant even some street vendors has better taste of noodles and momos. Tea and hot chocolate was good. Rest ambiance is really classic. They have a small stage for shows and events. They also do have a separate space for handmade crafts and lots of books.
I really like the atmosphere, good tea, and nice interior. This is a good place for those who are doing WFH or you can chill with friends. The chilli garlic noodles and veg lung fung soup were all tasty and worthwhile. The Honey Chilli Potatoes could have been more crunchy.
If you’re up for a fresh place with beautiful architecture then this is a must to visit.

i had so much fun at cafe laata !! the food and the ambiance is amazing and so is the staff. My absolute favourite was the mojito and spaghetti pasta.

Truly a gracious, spacious and capacious venue, with the large warehouse vibe but cosier. Has a wonderful, diverse and even eclectic collection of books one can read while sipping chai or coffee or a sherbet.
Serves as a community space also it seems; I saw lots of kids hanging out, playing card games and having fun. Large tables to do your work comfortably.
The balcony space outside is leafy and holds additional seating.
Some bric-a-brac for sale also. All in all, very artsy but not overbearingly so.
The org behind it or associated with it 'Been There Doon That' does fine community work in the neighboring hill areas. Contact them if you want to be a part of their activities.

Cafe Laata serves the best food in town with some amazing activities on weekends.
The place is good. Nice thought given in the ambience and look. However it is not really a single theme worked out place, kind of a mix of ideas and desecrate efforts to be different and standout. The entrance will make you turn around and leave. It's that messy! However, I suggest make an effort and come and enjoy the place. Ordered only hot chocolate since they were out of every other thing I wanted. However host was gracious and humble. Whatever I had was good. Smelled heavenly. Waiting for winters to experience it again.
Hope I find better things to try on my next visit.

I was amazed by the gesture of the owner.. He truly is an amazing person... About the Cafe.. its ambience is so good . And we had Spaghetti spaghetti Pasta.. it was tasty...

This is a beautiful cafe house, where you get the gentle feel. Friendly staff is so well mannered and loving that their affectionate behaviour pulls you. Esthetic decor is one of the best things here. Rates are under budget, quantity satisfies you, plus you can also enjoy live musical aur literary programs sometimes, if you are lucky 😃 enough. The BTDT team hosts it.
One of the best cafe experiences I have had. The setup, the host everything is perfect.
Naming one drink special will only make others feel less awesome, even though I have tried 3, looking forward to come back again and cover the whole menu and then decide the best! ✌🏼🎉
