If you guys are looking for authentic and nostalgic South Indian food, this is the place to be in. Sriram was a good host. The food was also very good. There are lot of very good authentic South Indian dish you couldn't find anywhere else in Dharamkot. The location is also nice where you can chill and spend some time watching the sunset.
Great South Indian food. I had one of the best Dosa here. The business is ran by a very friendly couple from Tamil who are really established in this South Indian food!
Never thought I will get to eat authentic delicious south indian food in the mountains. But Manavyala amazed us all.

It is worth discovering this place at the end of upper Dharamkot away from the crowd. I ordered Dosa, Rasam, the buttermilk was fantabulous! Also, worth mentioning the sweet hospitality of the family to welcome you and make you feel comfortable. Service is quick.
Coming from south India, i could say that this is the most authentic south Indian cuisine you'll get here. The menu is filled with variety of South Indian dishes(across different south Indian places). I visit this place very often for the delicious food they offer. Run by this amazing south Indian couple ( Sriram and Radhika), this is a must visit if you're in Dharamkot.
I can't point out just "a" single dish, because everything I've had here was lip amazingly authentic south indian.
The place is super cosy, with ground seating. They offer good wifi and a cute dog(Kalga) to hang out with.

Between the 5 of us friends, we’d have ordered half of their menu, and everything was lip-smacking delicious. They’re experts at the South Indian cuisine, but their regional dishes were yumm as well.

If you like the idea of having a hearty authentic South Indian meal while wandering about a quaint village on the hills, you would love this cozy shack located in upper dharamkot, dharamshala. The host is friendly and hospitable and the food is awesome in both quality and quantity.
Radhika akka and shri ram are best. They did a wonderful job by bringing a beautiful dog (kalga) in space with the best food you could ever imagine in mountains. As a saatvik food lover I enjoyed every bit of food cooked at manavyala.( vegetarian food lovers don't miss this whilst in dharamkot) Another name of authenticity is MANAVYALA_dharamkot 🏔💜🙏
Have spent many a day in this quiet cafe working (fantastic wifi speed) and gorging on wholesome vegetarian tamil cuisine. My favourites - sambhar rice and podi masala dosa. The canine presence goes perfectly well with endless cups of steaming coffee and the Carnatic fusion they play. Special mention to their jaggery based drink, Paanagam. Sriram and Radhika have curated an authentic South Indian experience in a cosy pahaad setting. The hamlet of Dharamkot is richer thanks to Manavyala, my best wishes to them.
This is one of the best places to have south indian food with some very rare-to-find dishes. All of their combo dishes are yumm, including karei vadas, sabudana vadas, & tari-poha.
Radhika and shree Ram put lot of love and heart in food that they prepare.
If you love dosas, idlis, rasam, all the various types of rice and other awesome South Indian food, this is the best South Indian cafe to visit in Dharamshala. Beautiful location, epic food, and awesome views as you sip on filter kaapi (coffee) and gorge on Ghee Podi Idlis. I can't thank the owners Sriram and Radhika enough for this delightful experience. The most authentic South Indian food in Himachal served by the nicest hosts. Their idlis are made to perfection and they have 11 different kinds of vada. Yum rice curry for mains and laddoo to top it off. Right in the feelsssss

I've been to Manavlaya since it was 1 day old, and it took me just that day to become the President of their fan club. A place that quickly becomes comfort food, quickly becomes home away from home. Sriram and Radhika are the warmest of hosts. And when it comes to food, you just can't go wrong! Nothing like this place for some south indian delights or new takes on otherwise everyday food.
Heck no! This is not a biased promotion... I'm just such a fan... Please go out there and let me live vicariously through y'all.

If you are anywhere in himachala you'd want to plan a visit to this tiny village in dharamshala and have authentic south indian food at rhis place!!! The hosts are extremely warm and you might just get meals on the house if on that day Machester United manages a win :)
I accidentally found this lovely place manavyala. This place n its food is mystic. From pipping hot sambar , rasam to that filter coffee u can enjoy everything here. Just drop in n enjoy the taste of south in hills. Thank you radhika n sriram for being lovely hosts. ❤❤
