So starting with the ambience,as i visited on new eve,this place was flabbergast, lovely decor and kebab hanging on my right,omg looked so mouth watering.Basically this restaurant is known for sea food as well as chicken cooked on chulha(traditional Maharashtrian cooking style ).Well the place is huge also the hotel has got less staff so it become difficult to manage and since it was an new eve u cant aspect to get ur order super fast and i guess same is expected on saturday and sunday. It like inorder to get good food , u gotta wait.
Wait lil bit and experience the delicious.Also they have got different section so lovely place to chill with friend and family separately.

This place is 7-10min by rick/own vehicle and 20min walking from Lodha Pallava. It is most convenient if you have your own vehicle because on the return it could get difficult to get an auto or cab. Running share rickshaws are available (per seat Rs. 10). But it will take sometime. The restaurant is very spacious and can accommodate large family gatherings. It is known for Agri cuisine. The staff here are helpful. The place is clean.

Kokan ratna is very well known landmark for kalyan and dombivali area as it is situated on shilphata road i use to go here at very earlier time but the place is good taste is also great
Konkan Ratna is the most preferred restaurant around the Dombivli.....it has a delicious menu along with pocket friendly budget and great service

Coming from long trip after celebrating new year, stopped by to have supper and then be home to take rest, it was chilly night so decided to avoid the open garden and was seated the place with roof, ambience was ok and food too but it will be to early to judge the food and other aspect as it was short stay and my first visit. Easy to access as it is on Kalyan Shill Road to the left hand side towards Dombivali or Kalyan, they also have swimming pool and some rides.

This is good place to stop by if you are any where near the Shil Phata. They have an A/C section and also an open dining area (not recommended during summers) and ample parking space.
The ambience is good overall and they also have a garden for children to play.
The Chicken Handi is delicious and just perfect. They can make most of their non-vegetarian dishes in Mughlai or Agri style. Do let them know how you want your dish to be.
For Mutton lovers, do go for the Mutton Roganjosh which was one of the best ones. This is the medium spicy red curry with fresh and well cooked mutton.
We also had the Chicken Biryani which was again good and finished our mean with a glass of Kokam Solkadhi.
The service is good and the place is a good value for money.

Always wanted to visit this restaurant which is near to shil phatta.
The restaurant looks good from highway with a ample of parking space.
Restaurant has ample of open space for kids to enjoy.
Even they have open sitting space for barbecues.
However we preferred to go in an A/c section .

We had ordered the following things
Banjara kebab :- kebabs were good daft and with lots of cheese.
Kombat handi desi with laccha paratha :- this was the dish for which I had visited this restaurant.
Desi chicken in spicy and flavoured gravy.
Simply yummy.
We had ordered half plate but the quantity is sufficient for four people.
The waiters should be trained properly to attains guest which I found missing. While taking order they used to stand behind the table which made difficult to place order as they never used to come in front of the table to take the order.

I have been to konkan Ratna many times. This is one of best hotel near dombivli. The non veg food here will never disappoint you. Chicken Reshami kebab is one of the best kebab. In main course, they have option of handi (H/F) which can serve 4/8 people easily. The taste of food is awesome. It also has Park for kids. Best ambience... Best food... What else you want... Must visit!
Located near dombivali highway, moreover a dhaba type. Ambience was good, service was also up to the mark, and decent food. Had one of those chicken platter, overall it was good. Only malai tikka was tasteless. Also ordered chicken handi and paneer, that was tasty. Also the quantity of chicken handi was great, we couldn't finish it ๐. Overall it was ย good enough, to hangout.
I had been to this place earlier as well. Really wanted to take my parents here to taste jiteda. It is a fish rarely found in market and very tasty.
The food was very tasty. We tried some chicken kebab, which was well marinated and juicy. Also gauthi chicken cooked on charcoal was too good. Will visit this place again and again and again............
Ambience is superb. We took place in open for our dinner.
Ordered chicken lapeta, prawns and in fish we ordered jitada. Everything was tasty. You will get to choose your chicken.

Konkan Ratna - Dombivli East
This afternoon around 1 pm, I checked-in this place which is located on the road which runs between Vashi and Dombivli and pardon me to explain the exact alignment as I am still new to the City of Mumbai. Well - this place is akin to Machan which is located in Sector-29 Gurgaon. Open space and a huge land mass these guys have got. Mr Patil is the owner of this place and I missed him by a whisker of a few minutes at Konkan Ratna today afternoon. Well, was here for a quick lunch as I had to visit a site at Palava City (of the Mighty Lodha Group). Its been awesome to see such a great amount of development in this area (Palava City) and my Hats of to the Visionaries who came up with the thought of this.ย
Coming back to FOOD, this place is a mediocre place but the food out here is good (not bad at all), Well, I tried out their DAL and CHICKEN Konkan. There were lot many visitors to this place and INTERESTINGLY, this place serves booze as well. On my checking, I was told with PRIDE that they have a liquor licence too :)ย
In peak afternoon 1 to 1:30 pm, I saw the serving staff carry some WHISKY in small pet bottles for a few people who were the customers. Interesting to know that people love whisky during lunch time too. Its always GREAT to learn about food and drink habits of people across INDIA and I loved every bit of my experience today.ย
There's more excitement to my experience. The table I was allotted had kittens sitting under the table. Amused and I took some pictures and whatsapped to my FOODIES community in Delhi NCR. I found it amusing but then, this place is one of the MODERN dhabas and echeloned towards the OUTER perimeters of Main Mumbai.
I was told that the entire scenario changes during late evening time with lights and cool evening temperature. A point about the restaurant manager and the staff. These guys were VERY courteous and good to talk to. The moment they learnt that I was from Delhi, they took extra care of me. I loved this part. They boasted about this entire place coming up alive at NIGHT and I imagined more whisky and beer bottles all over with people making MERRY. Well, this is just in lighter vein. I was also told by the Restaurant Manager that people who visit this place eat/drink and return back to their homes without creating any fuss. Well, this is really good to hear.ย
My Mumbai food reviews have been a mix and match of LUXURY dining and CASUAL dining. Hope to explore many places in and around MUMBAI during my onward visits to this beautiful place - MUMBAI.

Went here with friends and family. The place is like a modern dhaba. Has outdoor and indoor seating. The food was so well cooked! Words can't describe what my tongue tasted!

Mutton raan was average. Like normal mutton starters.
Then came the main course which was gowran chicken with rice bhakri. Bhakri was thick and soft. The chicken was also finger licking!

It was an amazing experience at this place..The jithada fish was great.. It tasted good with lots of favour....The mutton raan was ok ok, it was not that soft.... Then they gave us chicken's liver fried but it was not good... Then we had chicken goaran, n rice bhakri....It tasted amazng too....a nice experience.....The cranberry breezer was served well...The masala papad was very tasty....

Even though this restaurant doesn't have a good review still we thought of let's give a try as we had decided to go for agri and costal cuisines.....mutton lapeta, bombil fry n jitada tawa fry ......everything turned out to be better than our expectations......even their Spl biryani is worth trying.....good portions and reasonably priced......overall it's a yummy experience. I would love to go their again.
The restaurant is located on highway,it is a nice family restaurant which has garden seating! Before,this place had rabbits roaming in the garden too! It has been long time since i havent visited here.Food is nice,it is best being here at night that too winter nights,with a perfect long drive on highways and then eating here! :)

It was Sunday and home minister told me that food will not be prepared for whole day at home so the biggest question is what to find and where to find the answer was simple and it was the Google only who helped me. Searched many restaurants and finally decided to go Shalu restaurant but due to ongoing road work and traffic we directly moved to shilphata and took you turn, it was 1pm and we were hungry. We decided to go the first restaurant from shilphata and we found Kokan ratn restaurant. Entrance was too good, you feel fresh when you enter in to the restaurant. We went early so lucky to get options to get the table. there was enough space o. Table, then thr was nice place for children. The garden having many playing toys that children will be keep busy in playing and you can enjoy your lunch. Coming to the main point of the review and that was menu. We ordered salted chicken and rice for children, it was good in taste. We ordered prawns tawa fry it seems bit in higher side , taste was spicy enough and taste was really good. Coming to the main course as per instruction the chef has prepared mutton masala with typical liquid spicy gravy Mutton was nicely saute in masala and make it perfectly blend with gravy. We spent more than three hours it was really wonderful for us and children. If you really wish to spend some quality time around dombivili and shilphata this would be must visit place in your list.

This place is well known to me..as I have visited thier quite few times now. Though today I m here for thier service of services of refreshment or let's say while u guys are traveling via shil Phatak/ shil road means quite ahead of that a bit somewhere in middle I guess after crossing palava area the toll plaza nilje area it's nearby that area. M just trying to remember exactly where it's located but yeah I can provide this information and now moving to main area of the review..we visited the fast food type area beside the main restaurant as I could remember for having some snacks. The vada pav I ate particularly after so long time since I have been out of India for timebeing. I had great time at kokan Ratna. For those people who don't like spicy chilli filled oliy food then plz try this vada pav. Definitely worth trying . As a normal person I can say certain people cannot handle spicy food including me..which is absolutely fine no problem In that . Also me being a medical student clearly it was not too spicy or too mild either just right combination. I saw people of nearby areas were visiting thier at evening I guess for satisfaction of the craving of snacks abd have fun time together it seems to be quite a popular place. Fir traveling ones plz do give a visit and have some time to relax and get back to being energetic again for your further journey . That is my opinion entirely. It's all upto whoever Read this review..only that Individual is to decide whether to go thier or not that's absolutely okay. M here to provide a insight through my lens. Thanks guys. This is a good dhaba to stop and have dinner its pleasant and cool in the lawn section(not sure abt lunch) and also the ambience is good inside has a lot of parking space and can dining space there are slides, swings and other things for kids and also the micky mouse for the kids its a good place for family dinner. The food quality is great (bombil fry was very good) its not crowded on weekdays and service is good on weekdays but cant say the same during the weekends but yes its not that bad also. Overall a great dining experience 5 stars

hotel is awesome with great ambience good and flavoursome food..they also do have garden area to sit..its a family hotel..so it has slides and other playfull stuff for kids to play on..given order takes some time to be served..but overall a good hotel..and other than that it is just touched to the main highway..so this hotel is easily noticeable..
