A well maintained restaurant with good food . Earlier they had 41 dishes , but due to corona they reduced their menu items . Still the items served are good . It is famous of non veg food .. still veg also is really good .. the cream of tomato soup is really rich creamy one with mild flavour . Their signature desert Arabian kunafa is also really good .. fresh lime is also good . Since there is covid restriction even seating arrangement is changed . The light , aquarium and all together ambience is really good .. it is one of the must try hotel in kochi
I loved to eat mixed freid rice and butter chicken from alibaba restaurant at panampilly nagar. The freid rice was so special at alibaba and butter chicken also taste so georgious. All the chicken items tastes good. The interior of alibaba makes us feels about the old story of alibaba and 41 theives. I think kids will love those place as the puzzles in each dining makes them happy. Its a great experience.
Nice food, good taste but need to improve in potions, I ordered same food three times I like the taste I will order in restaurant and recommend to others too
Have been a fan of their Kuzhimandi since time immortal. Their mandhi rice with al fahm is the best. Normal place but the food is extra ordinary. I will suggest it to my friend and family .
Make sure u do a reservation before u the place as it mostly crowded. We ordered a platter and chicken nirachu porichathu along with some rice dish which I dont remember the name, over all it's a good place to go
Seemingly one of the finest outlets in kochi. The Ambience is fine and the attitude of the waiter was also good.
Considering the quality its commendable and regarding quantity also I'm quite astonished. But talking about the price worth for the quantity and quality.
If you are searching for a pocket friendly outlet to make your day better I'm sorry it's may not be your cup of tea but this seemingly hike priced restaurant will give you some good time altogether.
I'm overall happy with the treatment and hospitality received from the restaurant.
Ambience - 9/10
Quality - 10/10
Quantity - 8/10
Worth for money - 8.5/10
Am I recommending? Yeah! Nice ones for heavy pocketed guys.
I am surprised this place has a rating just of 3.8.
If you are craving good non vegetarian South Indian food and your options are limited to just Panamplilly Nagar, I would highly recommend this place.
We love South Indian food and tried all the good stuff here. We were here for work and visited on both days for lunch. Their service is quick, food is brought to your table fast. Their air conditioning could do with a bit of servicing as it was quite warm and not cool enough after coming in from the sweltering heat.
They have recently done up their interiors and it is pretty nice now.
Coming to what we ordered on those 2 days we visited;
1) Kerala Parotta: So flaky and so delicious, went really well with the gravy and dry dishes.
2) Ghee Roast Chicken: No taste of Ghee at all, was probably a wrong dish delivered to our table, but whatever it was, it was excellent
3) Beef Fry: So delicious and went so well with the parotta
4) Thalasserry Chicken Dum Biryani: Served with Raita, Papad, Pickle and Chutney on the side. Excellent biryani and I'm supposing is a hot favorite here.
5) Beef Roast: Another delicious gravy preparation.
All their food had wonderful flavor and taste. Their quantities are decent and value for your money.
A really good tikka restaurant u can go to when u crave some authentic grilled foods. Well cooked with enough marination, these mouthwatering delicacies will make you want to go back there. Good ambiance and friendly service.
Been with my friends andsat just beside aquarium its a beautiful feel and their triple schezwan fried rice was huge portion we couldnt even finish it ..had a great evening there ..
One of the well-know chain restaurants in Kerala. Had visited this joint a year back with colleagues.
Ordered the pineapple juice, followed by beef fry, chemmeen fry, ghee rice, ceylon parathas, chicken chettinad.
Finished off the meal with a fruit salad (no ice-cream)
Authentic flavours - keeps you coming back for more !!
Pretty good food and good restaurant
The owner of the restaurant itself is very sweet.
Don’t order their kunafa, it’s not at all worth the money you spend on it
All rice dishes are quite good reasonable.
Their beef curry and puttu is my favorite.
I visited this restaurant a few months ago when I was in Kochi. It was an impromptu dinner plan at Panampilly nagar; a prime area turned to a foodlovers heaven in the last few years. This restaurant will catch the customers attention with its name first. Loved their Pomfret tava fry and chilli beef. Their ambiance is good and will visit again for trying more stuffs on my next visit to Kochi.
The food is always been great here and biriyani there is my sons favourite.. unfortunately we have to be there and sometimes wait .. hope the service improve ..
Good food. Great service. Every item on the menu is a must try! The ambience is not always the greatest but the food more than makes up for it.
Visted this place with my family around 10.30 pm at night because of that we couldn't get the thalasherry dum chicken biriyani. So we ordered chicken lollipop kerala porotta, lime juce, veg fried rice, crushed chilli mushroom and beef fry.Veg fried rice, crushed chilli mushroom and chicken lollipop was amazing highly recommend these three dishes. But Kerala porotta and beef was average. The ambience of the restaurant was attractive and staff was very friendly and polite. Price is little on the expensive side. Overall we had a good time.
Good place and nice food. The billing process could have improved. The location is nice and ambience is great. Usually crowded but worth waiting.
Name :Sliced Tenderloin Beef
Price : 218rs
Star rating : ⭐⭐⭐⭐/5
Arabic and Chinese cuisine culture is trending in kerala, it’s basically one among their top rated cuisines.Weekend is here thinking about a hangout place with family and friends then Ali Baba and 41 dishes is the ultimate hangout place ,newly renovated furnished to its best .They serve their food with divine taste and authentic culture, it’s absolutely delightful.SLICED TENDERLOIN BEEF is one among their best dish tender meat cooked to perfection and with the right amount of flavours and sauces every bite leads to an impeccable experience.
A good restaurant at a great location. Has an eclectic choice of dishes, only problem is portions are small, not enough to share. But the taste more than makes up for it. A definite place to have dinner especially with friends and family
Been here numerous times and must say, you just can’t go wrong coming here all hungry for some mouth watering delicacies. Ali Baba at Panampilly Nagar, is like an answer to your quest for multiple cuisines under one roof. Be it Arabic, Chinese or Kerala treats, they have mastered in each of these in an effortless fashion. A few of our favourites are : Beef Polichathu, mixed fried rice and kebabs!
Nice food very tasty i like the biriyani very much awesome IAM a regular customer of Ali baba ...... adipoli food aneee super nice taste good service
Well known spot in kochi for tea and snacks. They have traditional malabar snacks. It’s almost all day crowded over here, because of the prime location and all that. It’s a good place!
The food is amazing!! The decor is also pretty refreshing. They have an out door sitting area too. We had ordered parotta and duck pepper roast and a beef roast. Both the dishes were very tasty and we ended up ordering one more plate of beef roast. Really good place to eat and good selection of music too😃
I had Hawaiin Salad and Chicken Sweet Corn Soup here. The quantity and quality is good. The Service is amazing. The salad even though is in the starter menu is quite filling for a single person. The place is clean and the ambience is alright. The staff were nice and friendly. They paid attention to the table and made sure empty plates are removed and water glassese are filled.
A descent place to try for food.. We were attracted with the name and entered
A good ambiance food was also good
A sure try for family and friends
I am a Malayali based out of Mumbai. My wife’s friends inviting us for a get-together at “Ali-Baba & 41 Dishes” was no coincidence as most of them were avid followers of my FB page with a similar name, “Ali-Baba Diaries” (www.facebook.com/alibabadiaries). I and my family reached on time, and while we were waiting for our friends to arrive, we ordered the “beef fry”, “kallumakkaya fry” (Kerala style mussels fry) and Karimeen fry (Pearl spot fish fry) to appease our longing for Kerala food. All of them were perfect! Once her friends started coming in, a variety of other specialities too started appearing on the table. The star on the table was the “Chicken nirachu porichathu” (Stuffed fried chicken), which was a whole fried chicken stuffed with a boiled egg and its masala. What followed was a riot and various orders were made around the table. I managed to sneak in a bit of the classics like the “Thalassery chicken biriyani” and “Kerala Porotta”. For dessert we ordered faloodas and they managed to settle inside our stomachs despite the mad rush.
For someone who doesn’t stay in Kerala, this place is must-go if you are somewhere near Panampilly Nagar.
Good Karimeen fish fry, Supper Gobi Manchurian and excellent Laal Maas curry. Added Steamed Rice and Butter Naan. Happy with the taste and service. Courteous staff.
Amazing ambience nd food... biryani, fried rice, chiken kollil kuttiyath...👌.They welcome you with smile and makes you comfortably seated... loved the place
Adipoli fish meals! Costs only 120 and there is ample amount of kootan and the fish curry is really nice. They will give you more rice if you ask. There is also payasam included
Frankly saying it doesn't have its old taste.but still they maintained their good name by giving some Awesome manthi biriyani. The spot is ideal and having good seating.
taste and u shall receive
This place is a favourite haunt of mine because of the variety in food that's available here! Everything from fish curry meals to indo-chinese cuisine is available here.
Really love their sweet corn chicken soup....you'll want to slurp the very last drop off the bowl 😋....spring rolls are good too. Other favourites include the mixed fried rice & chilly chicken.
It's always crowded and stuffed with diners that I've never been wowed by their ambience but they do have some clever artwork related to their theme Ali baba!
This place is very good, service is good, food is good, quantity is awesome and definitely delicious it's the people there are very good and they will help you out with what to order, it's like they say if it's good it's awesome. Their seafood is to die for.
Absolutely loved their thalasseri dum biriyani. Defenitely coming back for more. Even the butter naan and butter chicken tasted good.
Decent ambiance, prompt service.
This place is always packed, trust me, always ! The biriyani here is a must try, both chicken and mutton. Their mutton special biriyani is also yum. I personally like their tandoori chicken as well.
Dropped by for lunch at Ali Baba a couple of weeks ago. We ordered Cream of Chicken Soup, Butter Naan, Kerala Porotta and Kozhi Narachu Porichathu. Starting with the soup, it was quite good as was the Naan. The Porotta was even better. The highlight of the meal was the Kozhi Narachu Porichathu. The chicken was fried crisp but tasty and the stuffing was packed with flavour. It was super filling and more than sufficient for 2 persons. Ended the meal with some refreshing Lime Juice. Ali Baba is a pretty good restaurant with prompt service, a decent ambience and lots of seating though we’ve found it to be packed every time we've been there. Would definitely recommend dropping by when in the area.
Amazing food they serve here. The ambience is nice and the food quality is really good. Not that much crowded. Good service too. Really liked the food here.
Had fish, beef and chicken curries with Kerala Parotta and Appam. Found them good, especially the Parotta and beef curry. Ambiance left a lot to be desired and service was a little bit too slow. But, overall a good place to visit and have tasty Kerala food in Panampilly Nagar
The food is well and good.. tasty and good.. but i feel its a bit costly.. but the quality serves the purpose
the plating is good and pleasing to the eye.. customer care is also done well😊
Good food. Quality and taste 7/10. Presentation 5/10 can be improved. Asked for a small portion of Biriyani rice and it was served in a saucer. It was so tightly packed that you can't serve yourself without half of it falling all on the table. Rest of the tandoori good. More garnishing required in the duck roast.
Had tea and snacks from there this time, and it was really good. The tea was excellent, and the spot was perfect. It’s truly a great place, with fantastic teas. I really enjoyed it, including the snacks.
The restaurant was pretty much packed when I went for lunch. The food was delicious. I loved the chicken manchow soup😍 it was yummy. Butter chicken and nan was good too. Beef biryani didn’t meet my expectation, it was just okay. Waiting time was quite long. The ambiance was good.
Parking is quite difficult.
Had a very good experience dining here with the family. Neat dining space and good service as well. Both vegetarian and non vegetarian dishes were equally good. The waiter himself advised us to order a dish in less quantity as we ordered it too much without knowing it's serve size.
Pro's - Neat and relatively big dining space. Very good service. Good food. Decent pricing.
Cons - No parking space. Might have to rely on roadside parking.
Dishes we loved - Palak Paneer, Beef coconut fry.
Their delicacies are amazing. Taste and quality is unmatched and quite good in quantity.
They got some signature dishes.
The one which I liked the most is kanthari prawns which is a must try (Try only if you are fond of Kerala foods prepared in coconut milk).
It is a good restaurant for non veg food lovers. Good service and nice ambiance give you a comfortable time for your appetite. They have a common parking area, which is quite sufficient for some customers. Easy to access from panampilly Nagar.
A great place to try seafood. I had the Nirvana dish, and it was absolutely delicious. The fish was perfectly cooked, and the sauce was flavorful and complex. The service was also excellent, and the prices were reasonable. I would definitely recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a delicious seafood meal.
serve a variety of cuisines, including Arabic, North Indian, and Chinese. The restaurant has a simple and casual atmosphere, and it is a popular spot for both locals and tourists. The food is delicious, the service is friendly, and the atmosphere is relaxed. There is a cool bar and snack counter attached to the restaurant... Car parking a bit problem... No dedicated parking space... Need to park beside the road...
Went there during lunch time and it was packed!
Great servicing and ambience.
Ordered Schezwan Chicken Noodles and it was great.
Quantity served was for almost 2 people and as the only person eating it, it was too much (not complaining). Quality was amazing!
Prawns Biriyani 2.5/5 not too good.
Chicken 65 was salty.
Overall food was at 3.5
Service at 5/5
Atmosphere at 5/5
Would I go again? Absolutely.
It's a great place but a bit over crowded. Loved the food. I had schezwan chicken friedrice and schezwan veg noodles with my friend. The friedrice was the right amount of spiciness for schezwan, but the noodles were too spicy. Would recommend to lessen the spiciness. The service there is really good.
The tea was delightful and satisfying. I also tried their avocado shake, and it was equally impressive, but the snacks weren't that great.
Being their customer since the opening sorry to say that they lost the initial momemtum. Staffs found unprofessional than from previous time.
The prawns with coconut based gravy and chemballi tawa fry were amazing and is a must try at this place.
The kunafa prawns with the dip👌
Ask for their specials when visiting
Dinner- Kerala parota with Gobi Manchurian. Like the Kerala parota.. Although Gobi Manchurian was moderate. Ambience is good. Not so crowded on weekdays
