One of the great food destination for North Indian .Nice service too.
Loved this place. Definitely recommend this place.
Located in India’s second biggest mall, the signature restaurant of Masterchef Sanjeev Kapoor has its unique style of treating their guests with a catchy theme and stylish crockeries to leave an impeccable impression in their minds.
Dal Makhani is a must try.
Great restaurant with good quality North Indian food ,especially when you are at Kochi . Amazing roomali rotis .. service needs to be bit attentive on basics like pouring water and checking Indian bread refills.. will visit again for sure , only for quality of food 🥘
Staffs are really nice and foods are delicious
The manager of the restaurant - Mr.Azeem (one gem of a person). Helped us in every possible way. Made sure my family was comfortable and enjoyed the ambience and food..
This rating is just for him.
I'm from Hyderabad and whenever I am travelling to Kochi, I'll make sure that I'll be visiting The Yellow Chilli definitely.
Cheers!!
I visited more then twice this restaurant while my stay in same city . It was really delicious taste with great quality, everything had unique taste which we had ordered, nice arrangement and services from the staff while eating, we found nothing bad about this hotel.

.
We had ;
Shaam Savera
Laal Mussa Dal
Subz Roohani Biryani
.
Feel authentic tastes if North India at every bite
.
An authentic north Indian food experience. I think the best you can get in Kochi. Very courteous staff. Decent ambience. Price might look expensive but it is worth the taste. They accept Dineout, so we had some variety items within budget! We had:
Harippa paneer tikka: Really soft paneer, adequately spicy - the best I had in kochi
Cheese chilly chicken tikka: Chicken was well cooked and the chest was well-coated on the chicken
Kababwali sabzi - Amazing veg kababs with sweet and spicy gravy!
Jeera pulao - quantity enough for 3 people and quality how it should be!
Special mention to the side items like pudina chutney, red chilly paste coated onions and roasted papad.
If we are searching for a North Indian restaurant in kochi city, the search can stop right then and there! Already couple of years old in the city, i happened to visit a restaurant owned by one of India’s renowned Chef. It’s none other than Sanjeev Kapoor and the restaurant is called ‘The Yellow Chilli’.
Located at Lulu Mall this restaurant has a motto written outside, ‘Redefining food’. Indeed the goes to all lengths to distinguish it in all levels and the chef at the kitchen did a gorgeous job in recreating wonders of Sanjeev Kapoor’s cookbook. I disliked soups a bit, as the tastes were not suiting my tongue, rest what all they have served was amazing. My favourite picks of starters were Trio of Broccoli, Mutton Raan and Paneer Malai Kalimirch Tikka. Surprisingly both of my picks are vegetarian, normally it’s not how it goes. 😂
Guess North Indian foods takes its charms on vegetarian food a lot as we in Kerala seriously lack veg dishes in restaurants but we really do have a lot at our home. In Mains I was completely taken over by Malai Kofta, Kababwali Subzi and Rogan Josh. Again it’s vegetarian that really got me wanting for great healthy food. The verdict is clear from start, I could identify flavours for each dish and nothing had any correlation to any other dish served. The flavour notes were impressive, with each dish carrying a distinctive aroma and taste.
Thanks for the amazing experience.
Ambience-4.5/5
Food-5/5
Service-5/5
Value for money-3.5/5
I had to write this review just because of the amazing experience I had while dining at The yellow chilli, with both my babies. We were being served by Mary, and from the time I entered I was made to feel so comfortable. Dining in at a restaurant is no piece of cake when your co diners are aged 2and a half years old and 8 months old. But Mary was simply wonderful and so helpful. Right from getting us a nice booth to sit in, to getting the younger baby into her high chair, customizing orders according to my toddler's demands, to getting special food that my 8 month old could eat (since she has a no salt rule). The food was great, clean flavours and loved by all of us. We ordered the signature guiness record khichdi with choley, and blueberry phirni brulee for dessert.
Walking into this place was completely unplanned, but I'm so glad I chose this place that day.
Thank you for delivering a wow moment!
Butter chicken was good. Could have been better for the price. Ambience was nice. Service was nice and polite.
One of the best places in Kochi for delicious authentic North Indian food. Despite being situated next to the perpetually crowded and noisy food court in Lulu Mall, Yellow Chilli provides you a peaceful and pleasant dining experience.
MAINS
1. Murg Malai Kofta. 5/5. Divine. Fingerlicking delicious. The Malai gravy had a very strong flavour of cashew and couscous. The chicken kofta balls with coriander were tender, moist and delish.
2. Shaam Savera. 5/5. It's exquisite. This is one of their signature dishes and it tasted unlike anything I've had before. The spinach and paneer Kofta balls are incredibly soft and moist and the gravy is pure bliss. I once recommended this dish to a friend and she loved it so much that she got her family to visit Yellow Chilli the following Sunday just to get them to taste it as well. It's a must try.
3. Khadi Pakoda. 4/5. The kadhi was delicious and had the perfect balance between sweet and tadka-ness. However, although the pakodas were crispy, it was mostly just besan with hardly any spinach/onion/filling inside.
4. Lalla Mussa Dal : 3.5/5. It was thick, creamy and tasty but we expected more depth of flavour or something unique as it is one of their signature dishes. It was rather ordinary to be priced ₹305.
STARTERS
1. Bhuna Pistachio Soup. 4.5/5. The mild flavour of pistachios cuts through the very pungent Bhuna flavour and its absolutely delicious. Creamy deliciousness.
2. Sweet Corn Soup. 4/5. It was creamy and not too overly sweet. Tasty but unremarkable.
3. Chanajor garam tikka. 5/5. Potatoes have never tasted so good. Well seasoned, velvety soft mashed potato and goeey cheese in a crispy black gram coating. A welcome change from the plethora of paneer starters.
BREADS
1. Warqi(layer) Paratha. 5/5. It's a lot like a fine dining equivalent of Kerala Porotta. A flaky paratha with several incredibly soft layers that stand out beautifully. It's a must try.
2. Missi Roti. 5/5. Perfectly spiced with a mild smoky tandoor flavour. It's one of the best missi rotis I've had. It's better than the ones served by some of the renowned restaurants in Delhi.
3. Pyaaz aur Matar Kulcha. 5/5. The Kulcha is soft and the onion and peas filling is an absolute knock out. I highly recommend this.
4. Ulta Tawa Paratha. 4/5. Tastes just like a normal maida lachcha paratha. Flaky, soft, buttery and tasty but given Yellow Chillies' high standards, we expected it to be better.
5. Pyaaz Mirch Roti. 4/5. Soft roti with a mild onion and chilly flavour. Nothing remarkable but if was tasty.
6. Roomali Roti. 4/5. The texture was rather hard for a roomali roti. Other than that, it was pretty good.
DESSERTS
1. Gulab Jamun. 3/5. It was rather ordinary. It wasn't the soft, melt-in-your-mouth delicacies that one expects a good Gulab Jamun to be. Certainly not worth ₹215.
2. Blueberry Phirni. 5/5. Rich, creamy and delicious. One of those desserts you would want to savour every bit of.
The sweet raw papaya chutney (update : It's not complimentary anymore. Avaliable in the Salad menu) served as complimentary is absolutely delicious.
The staff is very courteous, service was prompt, every dish was well presented and served hot.
Yummy food, except for the dessert. I crashed here for lunch on our way to the airport. We had a yummy mushroom starter, dal makhni and jeera rice. All of them were the best I had so far. I tried rasmalai for dessert but it was not as great as the rest. Nice ambience. Staff were quite helpful.
In the hustle of one of the largest mall in India is yellow chilli on the 03rd floor of the food court. Tucked in one corner of food court is a perfect place if you want to enjoy north indian cuisine down south India.
A fine dinning setup which is done up really nicely with wall arts and good decor to give you a comfortable meal.
The food is great especially for north Indians who have been on a vacation or living their. A good place to gives your taste buds a different cusines. For rest you should visit and enjoy the north indian cusine.
Had the regular dal makani, butter chicken with rotis. All of them were perfect to the taste and quantity was also perfect. The rotis were also perfectly made too. Not to miss the chutneys were brilliant to give you a complete taste of North India.
The staff were very helpful and courteous in helping in choose our side order drinks and as well as getting our order in time.
We visited the restaurant for dinner. Hospitality is amazing. Staff and manager are very polite and friendly. No doubt, all dishes we tried, were delicious. Would definitely recommend. :)
Had tried out the Khumb Hara Pyaaz along with naan and rotis. The curry was delicious. Would love to try non veg dishes for the next visit!
Service was prompt. Ambience wise, yes pretty much like any decent restaurant!
I had seen this restaurant many times in Lulu mall but finally, yesterday we had got a chance to dine here. Place is amazing in its ambience, service and food quality. No doubt the chain is owned by best chef of India. Looking forward to more such meals here.
Absolutely wonderful experience. Food as it should be. Everything was cooked to perfection. You can't say a single mistake. That much perfection in the food. Clean, neat place, food and staff. Very hospitable. Definitely a must visit
Best food and bestest service....we went 20kms from airport to lulu mall yellow chilli just to hav Dinner...
Awesome food and management...staff and manager is also polite and good...
We went here on a weekday for Dinner. There was enough place, only couple of tables occupied.
Once we settled down welcome drink and Pappad was provided.
Our order was Lawrence Road Tandoori Murgh,
Dum Ghost Biriyani & Rasamalai.
Lawrence Road Tandoori Murgh was classic. Spicy and loved the masala mix.😋
Dum Ghost Biriyani was a bit let down. I expected expected little spicy and more bone pieces 😌 and there is no variety in their menu have only this item under Lamb with Rice.
Rasamalai was 👌👌👌.
Ambiance-restaurant Decor is good cleaned and maintained well.
Staffs are also courteous. Helped us in choosing dishes.
Lawrence Road Tandoori Murgh - Rs.380
Dum Ghost Biriyani - 470
Rasamalai (2 Pieces) - 190
This is a premium restaurant and it is costly, Though the served quantity which was enough for serving two justifies the Cost, still we will rethink to come here frequently.
Total Bill was Rs.1092 for two.
Went there for my wedding anniversary dinner. Ambience was good. At first they served something like a grape squash and roasted papas with mint and tamarind chutney. We ordered soups. Tomato basil soup and veg manchow. Tomato basil soup tasted like Rasam and veg manchow was average. Ordered veg crispy on skewers which was good.
For mains we ordered their signature black Dal which was very good and Paneer taka Tak which was good too. We ordered peshwari nan and pyaz mirch ki roti which were both good. Veg biryani was OK.
Overall the quantity and quality was good. Price is on the higher side.
Had better expectations reading the reviews.
Usually i do not review but This place deserves a review.
We waited for 30 mins to get a table and it was totally worth the wait.
It’s located in the 3rd floor of a Lulu Mall. Not very big, can accommodate roughly 70-80 people.
Food and service was extraordinary.
Overall a lovely experience. It is also over priced yes, but value for money. Will visit again!
The Yellow Chilly
I had visited this place an year ago when i was in Amritsar Punjab
The ambiance of this place is decent and its welcoming to all age group.
We well come with some Aam panna shots then rosted papad and imli Chutney
The food and starters are a bit on the expensive side but yet they do not compromise on quality and quantity. What you get is worth every rupee which you spend here. Most of the starters we ordered were vegetarian.
Harippa Paneer Tikka. 5/5
Shabnam kabab 5/5
Chana jor tikka 5/5
Also the main course we ordered veg Biryani.
Though its on the expensive side like Rs.370 for one. It was absolutely worth it.
If your not really worried about spending much then I recommend you to surely try this out. It's one of the best I've had in Kochin!! Period!!!
Thank to the staff for always being available and also for their quick service.
5/5
A very good place to have a private lunch, you can taste the real Indian flavours in their dishes! Loved each and every dishes I tried from there
Good Ambience, however even though its a separate enclosed space but the noise from the food court can be disconcerting.
Tried the Akhroti Murg Seekh (crushed walnuts coated chicken mince kababa).Preparation was excellent and something very different from the standard chicken kababs.Worth trying .Next on our agenda was the Puran Singh Da Tariwala Murgh.Again something very different and worth trying. Its one of their signature dishes. We had this with Rumali roti and Naan. However the Rumali roti was not up to the mark.
Overall a good experience barring the Rumali Roti and the ocassional din from the food cour area.
A restaurant by the famous Chef Sanjeev Kapoor..The murgh makhani was one of the best.. Veg biriyani was superb.. you can eat on its own.. a little on the pricier side but it’s a definitely a must try for North Indian cuisine in Cochin
I wanted to try something new in Lulu Mall with my family and we came across this lovely restaurant. Amongst all the hustle and bustle in the mall, this place just gave a good dining experience. The ambience was soothing and the food was flavoursome. Specially mentioning the starters and the naan. We will definitely drop by again.
Fine dining at its very best. Haven’t had a bad dish till now. Starters are superb. Shaam Savera otherworldly and Nalli Rogan Josh a pleasure. Oh yes,,it’s costly and the seating limited. But oh boy, it’s splendid..
'Shaam Savera' is a must try. The flavours were perfect and the paneer is the best I've had in Kochi. The ambience and the service are good too.
Went there for my Mother in law's bday 😀Wonderful menu.. 😘 Really loved the food 😀. Excellent customer service. Try their Non veg platter.😀
Location: The yellow chilli, Food court, Lulu Mall.
Ambience: Even though located in the food court, one of the noisiest and busiest places in Lulu. The yellow chilli has been designed to stand apart and give you a comfortable and cosy dining experience. As the name indicates, the place carries mostly a yellow tone followed by black.
Service: I cannot comment much on the service as it was the opening day and all the people of the restaurant did their best to pamper us. Maybe another visit will give me a better idea on how the service progresses with time.
Food: So this is going to be long as I intend to give a short description on all the dishes that we tried.
So we started with the mocktails section
Fancy free- Concoction of orange, mango, litchi, guava juices and ice cream. It was good and creamy to be fare.
Peru Pyala- Guava juice, lemon and chilli served in a chilli rimmed glass. It was spicy and quite refreshing and packed a punch to my surprise.
Virgin Pina Colada- Tropical style blended coconut cream and pineapple juice. Well what can I say. It did stand up to the reputation of the dish.
The mocktails stirred me up and made me wonder what else can I expect for the day. Then came the soups 😂
The soups were Murgh Yakhni Shorba and Prawns pepper rasam. The chicken soup was good but the prawns soup disappointed lacking any flavour.
The starters that were served took me by surprise.
Tangra chilli paneer- A paneer skewer dish which was based mainly on chilly. The taste stood out and for me who was never a fan of veg food or paneer especially, this dish questioned my morals about paneer and planted a seed of reconsideration.
Sarson ke phool- Tender broccoli florets with creamy mustard. One of the best veg starters that I had ever tasted.
Shabnam ke moti- Tandoor cooked mushroom caps stuffed with cheese. Hard to find words to describe this dish as it completely shook me to the core on veg cuisine. The best, I repeat the best veg dish I had ever had.
Now moving to the non veg starters.
Murgh Angaar Bedgi- Chicken tikka spiced with Bedgi chillies. Lip smacking spicy and gobsmacking good.
Cheese chilli chicken tikka- Chicken tikka with cheese chilli topping. The best non veg starter of the night. Just wow.
Rawa fry Machchi- Not describing the dish as it failed to impress one bit. Disappointed.
Then came the main course. Since they specialise in North Indian cuisine, highlights were the breads. We had the Tomato cheese Naan, Mint parattha and Garlic naan. Have to say that the tomato cheese Naan was something which grabbed me by my gut. Cheese burst is the least I can explan of it. Finger licking good. Reminded me of an Indian version of pizza. All the other breads were also good but this one stood out.
In rice, we tried the Dum Gosht Biriyani and the Murgh Noormahal Biriyani. To be frank I have had better Biriyani days so these 2 didn't live up to the expectations.
The curries consisted of
Shaam Savera- Spinach koftas filled with cottage cheese in tomato gravy. Though the dish seemed pretty pleasing to the eye, it failed to tickle my taste buds.
Lalla Mussa Daal- It was delightful and went well with the breads.
Sarson ka saag- Mustard leaves with mainly butter and garlic. I was having mustard seeds for the first time, so this dish felt pretty tasty and unique for me.
Meen Moilee- As the name suggests, our very own fish Moilee. But as a Malayali who has eaten a lot of the authentic fish Moilee, the North Indian version did not pack a punch for my liking.
Lazeez Murgh tikka masala- Chicken tikka in a creamy and spicy gravy. Went really well with the breads.
After the long battle with the main course, we moved on to the desserts.
Gulab-e-gulkand - Gulab jamun with a twist. Huge gulab jamun stuffed with gulkand compose.
Rasmalai- My all time favourite dessert. Brought back a lot of childhood memories. Absolutely loved it.
Kesari Kulfi with rabdi- Kulfi with a slight Kesar flavour. Delightful 😊
Overall it was a delightful experience for me. But the price on most of the dishes are on the higher side. So it would be advisable to have a good budget when u decide to visit.
I wanted to try out some new place in lulu mall, so I just got inside this restaurant. Well, I had a tandoori chicken 🍗 and some butter naans. The quality of the food that was offered to me was just amazing 😉! Good customer service and response by the management. The food doesn’t taste great but good. I like the ambience of this restaurant, comfortable seating arrangement! The welcome drink 🍷 was really good. Overall it’s a good place to have satisfactory tandoor food! Although some people might find it a bit pricey.
Was wary of star Chef restaurants. But The Yellow Chilli was quite good! Really tender and juicy Mutton Chops, spicy and soft mirchi/pyaaz roti and flavorful Hara Murgi. Was pleasantly surprised at the distinct tastes. The Shahi Tukda required a more crispy bread toast. Everything else was perfect (except prices, which could be optimized a bit). Mary was a friendly and attentive hostess.
Amazingly tasty food and an awesomely great service.
Had ordered Mutton Chops
Soft, juicy and amazingly tasty dish
Even the mirchi pyaz roti was tasty..
Food is very good. It's a little mild on the spicy side. Chef specials are pretty good. The biggest issue here is the service. They are extremely slow and even my bill payment took me half an hour.
Ohhh so yummy food , polite people, awesome friendly executive chef, mr santosh kumar singh.... Absolutely loved this place...After a long long time I had an authentic biryani. Just wow
Wonderful food and nice ambience all together. The first thing I would like to add is it's Value for money, that's in Lulu's top floor court.
I had their signature dishes in chicken: Puran Singh Da Tariwala murg & Murg Kasoori boti along with Romali roti, lacha paratha with olive on it & ordinary roti. Looking forward to dine in there again.
Went to the restaurant when we we're out shopping in lulu.
We landed up choosing many of chef special dishes and landed up loving every dish we ordered.
The staff was quite friendly as well and kept their smiles to the best that they could.
The interiors were also set up beautifully.
The location inside LuLu Mall Cochin and access to the Place is really good. It's a cosy place with a good ambience and less crowd.
We placed order for a veg platter (best veg platter so far) as a starter. We also had Kadai Chicken and Handi ka Paneer along with Roti and Naan. Gravy tasted better but chicken didn't blend with it.
Just in Lulu Mall. I have been here several times, and all items on their menu are excellent and have a consistent taste. Their dahi kebab is unique and should not be missed. I also like the ambience, with well spaced tables and interesting decor.
Went there for lunch on a Monday and was totally satisfied with the food and service. Our server was extremely helpful and hospitable and went out of his way to suggest dishes While the variety of dishes in the main course did leave me wanting when compared to other North Indian restaurants in Kochi ,it was more than made up for by the ambience and service.
The best and the mouth watering tiffin I have tasted in southern part of India is here.
The Lalla Mussa dal was so thick that even the spoon was resistance that you can't enter in it. Heard that it is one of the best selling dishes here and it was so true that I had to order again to tickle my taste buds.
Had ordered prawns peppersoup, Tomato cheese Naan, Green chilly chicken and mutton chops. The cheese Naan was a bit too hard but soup good enough. Rest of the dishes were tasty. My favourite would be the Mutton chops.
The place is awesome. Foods are really great. Deserts are delicious. There are enough servants to attend the customers. Awesome place. I love it
Dropped in for lunch. Ordered their Dum biriyani. However wasn't so impressed with the taste. The place seems good. Waiting staff could be more quick with billing and stuff. Took us a while to get our payment done.
The place is nice. The staff are super courteous and extremely helpful. The food is great .There are enough selection of items for vegeterians. The Lamb dishes was awesome!!! The desserts are amazing and the presentation is awesome!
Awesome place... Liked the ambience of the restaurant... Food Quality as well as quantitywas awesome... Priced decently... The manager at the restaurant has very good knowledge... Waiters at this restaurant are friendly..Best wishes to team
Excellent authentic North Indian food.sTastes like home cooked food. Ambience is good, cleanliness also good. The staff is very friendly. Always packed, so might have to wait for a table during peak hours. Must have their aloo paratha, lassi, kadhi, rice fry, dal tadka. Cost is reasonable for two. Will visit again
V tried Veg Kebabs, Mussa Dal, Paneer tak a tak, Chicken Tikka masala. Nice food. Good portions. Value for Money. Knowledgeable, helpful and kind hearted service staff. Good luck guys!
Wonderful restaurant... Nice ambience... 😍Food is so yummy.... Waiting to come back for food asap..
Very interactive and generous manager..
one of the best north indian restaurant in this city... its perfectly same from Mumbai outlet. the taste is so nice .. especially bhatti ka jheenga and kadak seekh kabab. while having lalla mussa dal i miss my moms food :( so yummy .. love to see you again . the service is good and staffs are very helpful for selecting the dishes
The Food and the ambience was fine. But beware mosquitos may fall into your plate. If you complain to the Manager he walks aways without having a basic courtesy to say even a sorry. He thinks that there are no other better run restaurants than his. I was there on Sunday March 11th for lunch and this was the service I got from our celebrated Chef's restaurant.
Awesome food, great service. Butter chicken and dal makhni were sublime. One of the best in Kochi for North Indian food. Definitely worth coming back to over and over again
I had a good time with my family a couple of weeks before. Best place for hangout, No compromises with food, the tastes are awesome.Wish to come back
I visited Cochin for a meetinh and visited, Lulu mall, their I found a place which provides us delicious food and the ambience was great too.i lovef it.value for money
Nice place to have good dinner excellent place for dinner with variety of dishes good hospitality and non veg dishes are very good .good place to be with ur family enjoyed a lot
Hello, people just recently I visited Cochin for a vacation and visited, Lulu mall, their I found a place which provides us with good ambience and gives us good service along with great food, we ordered soup, butter chicken, nan, roti and lassi to make it a complete value for money experience. This is best for North Indian food lovers.
Nice place to go with our family and i like it so much...Veery thx to the yellow chilli and i did like to go with my family its a best place for that
Adorable restaurant in North India located in lulu mall which boasts of being servicing. The food they provide to us is great and delicious in taste and have no complain about the food. The service is so good in this restaurant thats why pepole are attract. The staff behavior is also calm and the experience of staff is so high. Parking zone is also too good.
I really like this place. I recommend you whenever you go in kochi please visit here.
Very good place to visit briyani of this restaurant in lulu mall is good i visited this place along with my friend good food and ambience good hospitality
Amazing food and ambience. I came here with my office colleges for lunch. Food is really good and specially biryani and shahi tukda. Finding such good North Indian food in kochi is really awesome.
I was in kochi for a business meet. I was famished when I was done with the meeting. I went to the yellow chilli. The food the quality and the service was completely spot on. Extremely satisfied with the experience. Will surely visit The Yellow chilli again.
I, along with my entire family, had landed in Kochi on India's Republic day i.e. 26th January 2018 on our way to Thrissur to attend a wedding. To have a feel of Kerala wedding. After enjoying that thoroughly, which included a trip to famous Guruvayyur temple one early morning, we all came back to Kochi to rest for a day before returning to Mumbai. We stayed at Marriott Kochi, a fabulous hotel by any standards. On top of its 25th floor, it has a helipad where they also conduct Yoga classes for special groups. Adjacent to the hotel is Lulu Mall. As grand as is anywhere else in Gulf. We went there for shopping. What we see there on 3rd floor is our all time favorite, The Yellow Chilli restaurant by Sanjeev Kapoor. It was least expected here. Our decision to eat local took a back seat. We settled for this restaurant for our dinner on 28th Jan evening. Four of us.
Met Manager Awadesh and Chef Dharmendra. Got comfortable that it is same chain and same food. This time we wanted to go little crazy in ordering. Started with Desi Manchow Soup. It was steaming hot, right flavours and taste. Enjoyed to hilt. We all love Thai food. Saw the name of Papaya Peanut Kachumber on the menu. Decided to try it. Awadesh encouraged to have it. It was perfect. For the main course, Chef recommended Singhada Aloo Matar; a local dish Urlai Roast Masala and The Yellow Chilli's all time famous Lalla Mussa Dal along with Warqi Paratha and Fried Rice.
Singhada Aloo Matar had crunchiness of water chestnut in your daily preparation of Aloo Matar, a tomato based gravy. Too yummy with Warqi Paratha. Urlai Roast Masala had potatoes again but this time in Chettinad Masala to get local flavour and taste. Again, approved by all four of us. The fried rice was in Chinese hue and Lalla Mussa Dal was as smooth and creamy with heavenly taste as is always. To tell you the fact we didn't mix the both. Had it separately. We intended so. To enjoy the taste in its totality. The idea was good and worked.
Dessert was Awadesh's choice. Since we went other cuisines this time than pure Indian, the dessert too was different. Brownie with vanilla ice cream. Sounds simple and old fashioned. But beware, any one can go wrong with this. At The Yellow Chilli that evening it was perfect. One of the best we had. Soft, moist, warm brownie with perfect vanilla ice cream. Must have outsourced, but no complaints and full marks.
We thanked Awadesh, Dharmendra and Sanjeev Kapoor for this yummy meal in Kochi. Would like to recommend to all.
I had ordered desi manchow soup, chicken biriyani, tomato cheese nan, murgh taka yak and Gulab jamun.
Well the soup was yum and the mushroom starter was beyond words.
Gulab jamun was fantastic and is a must try.
Ambience was lovely and the service is great.
this is a wonderful place with new new dishes you gotta try.
This is a must try place in Kochi. They don’t have huge list of dishes, but they serve only the best of them. I actually loved their dishes. I tried a chicken starter which was nice and i loved it. Then ordered for a mutton dish and roti. Mutton dish was ok but i loved the chicken starter well. You will get a welcome drink and and some pappad with chutney. They also have a sweet grated papaya mix in their pickle set which was awesome. Their gulab jamun also tasted great for me.
The service of the staffs is appreciable and they serve from the heart. They are very kind and outstanding.
Nice ambience, attentive service and friendly staff. A good place to have North Indian dishes. Chicken biriyani is really nice with lot of spices, even the curry was very tasty. Mojitos was not up to the mark but can try.
We were delighted with the food at the yellow chilli. The ambience is ok , the prices are fancy , the service is decent but the food it delightful. We tried the biriyani which was just average but the rotis and the dal curry stole the show . They serve you with papad and sauces to begin with which in itself is a good starter . If not for the price , everything else is good .
Being a Sanjay Kapoor franchisee, this place serves one of the best North Indian cuisines in Cochin.
Located at the food court of Lulu mall.
Their Lal Mircha ka Saundha Murgh tikka, Rajasthani Murgh ka Mokul and Lazeez Murgh tikka are some of our favourites.
Their Fried rice and other bread items are also very nice.
The quality of the ingredients they use and the richness in the flavours makes this place the best North Indian restaurant in the city.
This restaurant is part of the yellow chilli restaurant chain of Sanjeev Kapoor. The restaurant is located in Lulu mall food court. It has seperation from the food court so has enough privacy. The menu mainly focuses on local cuisine and Indian cuisine. Most of the items have Sanjeev's touch. We ordered prawns pulao and chicken biriyani. The prawns pulao was superb you should try it if you visit. There is welcome drink which was nice. The rasom soup was nice too. The dishes are neutral when coming to spicy which is good you can enjoy the real taste but if you want extra spicy you should mention it. The ambience go with the yellow theme and was nice. The service was nice and staff were friendly. Will definitely try again and a must visit if you go to Lulu mall.
BLOG: EATLIKEJO

I tried the buffet of Friday. It was good. The soup was slightly spicy for me as the pepper was giving me a cough. The staters were really good. I didn't like the dahi chat dish, I felt it needs more flavour. The main course had was amazing. There was a mango drink and gulab jamun as dessert. Service was excellent, ambience is average as it's right next to he LuLu food court. The restaurant food rates are on the premium fine dining side so it might burn your wallet.
One of my favorite favorite restaurant in cochin love the ambience love the food and service and staff is so friendly and attentive can't wait to vist again. Finally could come here for dinner and loved it same old days and old staffs amazing services.
Located in the top floor of the lulu mall Kochi. This place have great interiors and serves best dishes in both veg and non vegetarian options. A bit expensive. The biriyani varieties are good . Gud service .
Soft lighting with a cozy feel. Really cool copper lampshades hung from the ceiling.
Polite and warm staff. Quick service.
Menu includes mainly north Indian dishes, but they did have fish moilee!
Food was oozing with flavor and aroma. The jeera in the rice and the chilli in the mushroom, all the spices were there at the right mix. However, I would have liked appam with my fish moilee!
Great ambience...Food was tasty... Overpriced I feel..may be it's due to the location..Staff behaviour was too good.. really helpful to choose good and tasty food.. Enough space inside..I had both vegetarian and non vegetarian food from thr..both good and I like the Paneer dishes..it was too tasty and masala was less compared to other restaurants.. overall it was great...I like and would like to recommend it..
