Had a pretty sub-par experience the first time I was here. It had also been just a few weeks since they started operations, so teething troubles, perhaps. Ordered home delivery this time over. The vegetarian vol au vents were AMAZING. I'd suggest more butter in the puff pastry, it was a bit, biscuit like, not crumbly, as it ought to be. But the filling was the star. i also had the vegetarian Quesadilla, which was forgettable, I wish they would improve on introducing some flavour into this filling, but the tortilla was soft. Great work!

Downtown Cafe in Panampilly Nagar is a nice little cafe to hang out and enjoy with friends. The Western food experience on offer is quite delectable. Yes, it's Indianised but retains a lot of original flavours, hence quite good. Service is great with all staff being very courteous with a nice smile. The best part is, the staff knee the menu to make the right suggestions. Good value for money.
I recommend: Vegetable cheese bake, surf & turf and the white chocolate truffle.
I do not recommend: almond dates pastry. The almond and dates tastes were both missing and the base was crumbly.
A nice cozy place to have a snack ,coffee or dessert .The ambience is lovely and the standard of food is pretty good too .
The downtown special sausage platter is a must try !! It tastes just like the one they serve in dubai❤️ chose lasagna and zinger club. Both were absolutely delicious 🤤 The only disappointment was the dynamite fries 😕it didn’t taste anything like dynamite sauce but can’t wait to go back and try more 😍

Downtown cafe panampally nagar is a fine place to dine with our family and friends too. However there is little parking available in front of the shop do parking could be a problem. Food is awesome and well hygiene.The food is bit expensive but after they serve our food we will forgot everything. It is worth for the money. You can sit there and mingle and do our works there. The reason I like this place is it won't get too crowded here and therefore it's more comforting that a crowded place. They have a lot of variety in their menu and the food is quiet rich with sufficient quantity.if you have a time or staying near panampally not in Kochi must visit once with their family nor with Friends.

Calicut and Al Karama’s popular Downtown Café has now come to the streets of Panampilly in Kochi, Kerala. The store took the local food scene by a storm with a full-house at almost all times every day of the week. It took us a few days and a friend making his way there 45 minutes ahead of time to get a seat one evening.
Very regal eye catching decor, courteous staff and sumptuous food is what downtown cafe is all about. Some items may seem a bit on the pricier side tho. Love their hazelnut frappe, spicy chicken sausage pizza, lotus frappe (I think it was) and Mac n cheese bake :)
All I go to this place again and again is for their Lotus Cheese Cake (Rs 250). I am an addict.
These days I guess its too sugary. Would have been good if its taken care off. But still I love it.

Really cozy cafe with a nice view towards the exterior, if you're lucky enough to get a seat near the long windows. The interiors are amazingly done; luxury seats, really nice hospitality and amazing ambience.
We ordered the following:-
1. CHICKEN STEAK BURGER :- 😋😋😋😋😋
So tasty and different burger. Burger is not so big and the patty is not so fatty 😜. But still it's pretty enough for my tummy. Doesn't give a feel like a heavy fatty burger.
2. LONG SANDWICH :- BBQ BEAF😋😋😋😋
It's a long one just as a regular sandwich you get to have in a normal bakery. But the filling is quite different and tasty. You'll get a lot of beaf chunks. I really liked the taste.
3. BROWNIE WITH ICE CREAM:- 😋😋😋😋😋👌 ( must try)
It's was really well done on the plate, you could see the image. The brownie was hot and moist and chocolate syrup was spreaded throughout with ice cream in the middle. This is the best brownie i ever had in my life.
Rate:- Rate is on a higher side if you opt to have a heavy meal from the cafe. Most of the items in the menu are 300+. Burgers cost around 200+ and regular sandwich 290-300+, long sandwich 200+,
desserts are also quite costly. But trust me, each and every bite is worth enough.
Had to wait for a long time for food. But that guy who's taking order from us is also delivering food to the table. Even clearing the done plates as well. Might be some of their employees had been on leave that day. However their hospitality and service deserve much appreciation in spite of the delay in delivering food.
A cafe with an amazing ambience and good food!
The seating and overall decor is pretty impressive and has a very classy vibe. The service was quiet good except for a few glitches while taking the order, like how we ordered the cheesy fries but we got the normal fries instead which was a dissapointment.
We also ordered the dynamite shrimp cocktail and the chicken steak in pepper sauce which were both really good.
Overall a great cafe with a huge variety of dishes to choose from and a really nice ambience.
The Red Velvet cake had the right texture. Chocolate Truffle was the best with rich chocolate oozing out of the cake in every bite. The Caramel Cake was also one of the best Caramal cake i had because it is not as sugary as other places serve it. It had medium sugar, so the taste of the cake could be indulged better.
I visited this cafe and it was good. They have a good ambiance which I liked a lot. I got bit confused to find the restaurant because I didn't see any Sign board near the main road. I suggest to keep a Sign board on the main road so that people can easily spot it.
I ordered Cocktail Prawn which is a signature dish which was good. It was crispy and the sauce blend was really good. It is bit expensive and quantity is not that much.
I also had Chocolate shake which was decent enough.

Great place to hangout with friends! Ambience and food was amazing. Highlights were the Caesar salad and the creamy corn purée on the stuffed chicken steak. Could improve a tad bit more on the service as we had to wait an unusually long period of time for the orders to come in. Time and again, this place has been a go to for cafe’s in and around Panampilly.
Their crispy squid is just perfection, served in a bed of lettuce. The sauce is well coated and just crunches in your mouth.
The steak was well cooked, as I had asked, and the garlic bread had lots of flavour within. It was served with a side of veggies and mashed potato.
The sandwich had been a little disappointing with it being a little dry.
The sausages are also well coated and perfectly represented.
The staff is friendly and listens intently to your instructions.
Their chicken and fries with cheese are MUST try!

The ambiance and interiors here are so good! So is the prompt service. Tried the sausage platter, which was a huge hype but somehow the slight smokiness didn't go well with my palette. The prawn cocktail was good. So was the chicken burger and steak with creamy mushroom sauce. The highlight was the yummy cold milo - was really delicious!
Update: theyve recently introduced all day breakfast. Wasnt able to go there, but ordered in their banana pancakes. These were yum! Came with a portion of fresh fruits too.
The ambience is quite good . The food is great by the way . Love their Milo shake, lotus Biscoff pancakes and cheesecake. Their pasta is just heavenly. Even have a thing for their teas. But I haven't received good service most of the time, maybe during rush hours but otherwise they're great.

First impressions: It's a very classy, slightly overdone but very good looking place nonetheless. Lovely lighting and interiors. Great vibe in general.
The menu is vast, there's something for everyone on it. Drinks, very innovative fruit juice fusions, lots of coffee options too. All in all food won't disappoint at all. I'm going to visit again for sure, lots on the menu still left to try!

Well, first off I gotta say I totally love the decor at this place . Very cozy and chic, I’d imagine you’d win major brownie points bringing a date over here . . I haven’t tried too many dishes yet but did enjoy whatever I’ve had so far . Ooh and before I forget , the Cold Milo here is to die for !! And if like me, you guys were expecting the same drink your mums used to make you in the morning before school , you’d be dead wrong lol . Trust me on this .

Wowww..... I have heard a lot about Downtown Cafe in Kozhikode. Some of my friends in Dubai have tried it out there and made many positive reviews.
So when they came to Kochi, I had huge expectations. And let me say my verdict first... The cafe indeed lived upto the hypes I had about it and definitely a great place to hang out.
The cafe is located in Panampally Nagar, which is currently the most happening place for Foodies of Kochi. Its right next to Center Hotel (just behind of Cocoa Tree/ICICI bank Bldg). The cafe is not that big, nor too small. But I wish, they could try getting the 1st floor too considering the crowds they are enjoying.
The interior decor is SUPERB. It instantly gives a premium vibe. Its uber cool, youthfulness and well lit. Most of the cafes in Kochi have darker interiors, probably to give a privacy feel, but this one is much different. It's so open with full glass panel windows on its 2 sides.
The food option is Conti... But has a good variety. They have a separate Beverage menu and it has many choices.
I ordered their signature dish-- Chicken Portobello with Snickers Shake.
Well, the main course is worth being called a Signature dish. It's basically Chicken Steak. The highlight was their sauce, which is a thick creamy Mushroom sauce. I haven't seen that kind of sauce anywhere. It tastes so good. It more like a Cheesy sauce with strong hints of Mushroom and Thyme. And there is a second layer of cream cheese underneath, which gives a strong cheesy flavour to the dish. The chicken is well cooked and in the right quantity. And let me compliment, this cafe serves the BEST MASH POTATO in the town. Its so good, creamy in style with no lumps etc. And has a slight garlic flavour to it.
One can order Garlic bread as the side to it and they serve in numbers as you need instead of usual plate concept. So we can order 1 or 2 Garlic bread slices which cost only 20 Rs per slice which is too economically.
The Shake was too thick and really lives up to the name. It's much similar to Cocoa Tree's Snicker Kicker shake, topped with a chocolate Ice cream scoop. So it worked out both as a side drink cum dessert.
All I would recommend is better more attentive staff. I am not making any complaints as they are good and courteous. They are well groomed, that gives an additional premium feel. But not that attentive as we need to call them to the table by raising hand or similar.
The resto-cafe seems to have gain popularity as most of the time it's full. Last day I visited, only to be returned back with no space to sit. So it shows popularity.
Parking may be a problem as hard to get near to the cafe. But one can find many spaces near Center hotel or on the way to the Passport Office.
Will definitely visit and try more options. Kudos to the staff for the wonderful food and ambience. I must say, the Cocoa tree now has a right contender right next to it.
Order Cold Milo & Sausage platter. Period.
One more fine cafe in panampilly nagar with too many conti dishes on Menu. They have a huge menu for beverages alone..cold milo is a favourite of mine. But when you order do tell tell the servive manager to take it with medium sugar. Also lotus cheese cake is a bomb. I am yet to try their lotus waffle. Heard too many good reviews about the same. Stir fried sausages too is good. It's something with a little Kerala twist. 😊

First visit and found the place well set up and aptly lit.. I loved the way the whole restaurant is designed and the seating is set. It was quite an eye catcher. Balance between being chic and loud is quite a thin line.. fine job done on the interiors..
The staff is prompt and very efficient.. even though it was a rendezvous last min decision for cakes ..it was entertained by them superbly. The service was great and really commend the smile on their faces even at the peak crowd time.. neatly dressed and well groomed..
Food.. well the main thing .. being a foodie.. my verdict is.. 😍😍😍.. I totally loved the smoothies.. we were in a group and really could try many of them.. well made and thick.. the food was great too. Right amount of spices and well balanced serving of herbs and meat.. my personal opinion - easily one of the best in kochi.. tried the burger, sandwich, fish, prawn cocktail , spaghetti and few more.. all were tastefully made and presented .. I would have really loved more fries on the plate though.. 😉😉
Parking.. can be a problem on a heavy day but should not stop anyone from coming here even if it means u need to walk for 500 m.. it's worth it..

Ever since I heard of this cafe opening hear, I wanted to go. Got a chance today. Unfortunately went there after dinner, so had only drinks.
The DT chocolate coffee and Cold Milo were ordered by me and my cousin.
Both the drinks were really good. Great quantity. Must say the ambience is really inviting and comfortable. The staff too are really welcoming.
Will be back for the food soon.

Really good food, I ordered the dynamite fries, spicy sausage pizza. Felt the pizza could use more sauce. Other than that it was a really good meal.

Veg Sizzler from @down_town_cafe (₹290 ) was amazing.
It consisted of rice, potato wedges with cheese melted all over it, french fries , tomatoes and Beans which tasted absolutely delicious as it was in tomato puree, and garlic bread to top with it.

It all complemented each other very well and was amazingly cooked but however the Rice had less salt in it which was a drawback apart from it the dish was really nice.
The ambience is amazing and take me to a different world altogether. And Ambience with royal blue colour made the appearance of all together look quite great.

Amazing Indeed!! Some great Ambience welcomes you at Downtown Cafe, located at the prime spot of Kochi. Just loved the HOT MILO 😍, it was great to get back the childhood favorite in some grandeur style at Downtown. For all who are looking for something to cool down, then CITRUS Mojito is a must. Dont Miss it. Ordered Banana Crepe. Just loved it with some stack of cut fruits.

It is an amazing place to hangout as a couple, with friends, family. Such a nice ambience and I must say the food is really really yum!! We had White sauce pasta, chicken fingers, chicken club sandwich, latte and hot Milo, everything was upto the mark and the quantity is also good, it's good not to waste than too eat peacefully and finish it off. Also, the staffs were so cooperative and helpful. Do visit this amazing place for an amazing experience.
Absolutely loved the experience.. we were planning a surprise birthday party for our friend and downtown people really came through.. they got the decorations up for us.. played birthday songs when the Birthday girl walked in.. helped us serve cake to all the customers..

A good hangout place for couples and friends. The ambience of the restaurant is really cozy. The dark interiors really looks regal. The furniture's as well are comfortable to sit at lengths and hang out for a longer time. There is ample dedicated parking for the cafe itself. The place is off the main street and so is quiet and peaceful.
The food is good, but the veg options are too less. I tried their mushroom macroni and stir fried sausages with hot blended chocolate. The food was satisfactory. Their cold milo is a must try.

Cafe Downtown is one of the best cafe's in Kochi. The cafe is very unique for there are lot to do over there too. We can read books or magazine's. The food is also quite good the taste is just superb. I had tried their burger and it was fabulous. Unfortunately i wasn't able to het the Milo shake. They have a spinning wheel where we get offers from different brands from Incrive Events. Overall a good experience.
Good food, beautiful interiors, prompt and attentive staff describe DownTown Cafe the best. The beef steak was on point, medium rare as requested.
The Mint Tea, Non-Veg Fondue, Flakes and Cold Coffees, Mojito, Burj Al Arab shake were all well prepared. The Chicken Sizzler and the Beef Strognoff could have been better.

This cafe is located close to coca tree. The ambiance is good. I felt that the portion size of the dishes in the menu are a bit lesser than expected. The paneer tikka long bread sandwich was average and not really that great. It's a good place to hangout with friends to have a quick bite and some drink. For the quality of food served I felt the place to be a bit pricey though not overly priced. Overall the experience was above average.

My friend adviced me to try out this cafe and it was worth it. We ordered for the crunchy cocktail shrimp, pasta escalope, lasagne, bbq chicken steak, watermelon & passion fruit mojito as in the picture. Be it luck or the cafe everything tasted absolutely yummy.
My personal favourites were the shrimp, pasta & passionfruit mojito. The cocktail shrimp was flavourful & tasted almost like the dynamic shrimps from PF Chang's (which is the best). A little more sauce to it would replicate the dish.
Now who wouldn't love a bowl of cheesy pasta with thin crispy chicken fillets. Spot on with the flavours in the sauce. Passionfruit Mojito was the best choice to wash down the palate for the next dish. It was fresh and fizzy!
Bbq steak was served with a decent amount of creamy mashed potatoes and veggies. Both the sweetness from the bbq sauce and spice from the pepper did compliment each other. Journey to lasagne was pretty difficult as we had all got food drunk by then. But it did taste yummy too. The only thing that stood a bit behind was the watermelon mojito as it did taste a bit syrup like. All of this for a little less than 2K!
Slightly costly but the dishes are quite filling. Order a bit less otherwise you may end up with a mouth watering doggy bag for home. For a family of 4 our bill was about ₹1400/-, translating to about 350/- per head. And mind you, this was a wholesome meal consisting of a caesar salad, a chicken steak, some chicken wraps and two types of pancakes for dessert. Did I mention, these were some of the best pancakes I've had. And to top it all, we couldn't finish the chicken wrap and had to take some home in a pack. Overall an excellent place but service takes a bit long if it's crowded, which it usually is. I guess quality food takes time. No complaints.. Love the place

Fries are really crunchy n crispy. The staff is extremely welcoming and friendly. Although prices are a bit high , it is expected as the interior feels rich and royal. The seats are velvety soft. They do Birthday surprises as well.
