As the name suggests, its into core finance. Anyone who wants to pursue their career in Finance, i think its a better deal. We were taught by eminent professors with great insights.
A few case studies were a part of our curriculum. They actually gave us a perspective towards real world. after almost 11 years now, when i look back, i feel its a good institute which taught us right fundamentals. Due to which, I am able to perform better in Finance at work. I joined right after my engineering and faced a lot of challenges during my 1st trimester. Staff, seniors and classmates were really helpful for me to navigate through. Luckily, i got placed through campus.

I am from 2000-02 MBF batch. IIF has one of the best finance curriculum for someone who wants to specialize in Finance. This course and the teaching methodology helped me in building basic skills in investment strategy, corporate finance, portfolio management, risk management, corporate restructuring, financial analysis and understanding local and global economy. Post course completion, I did not face any challenges in finding a job and having worked in companies like Way2wealth Brokers Private Limited, Tata Asset Management Limited, Standard Chartered Bank and ICICI Bank Private Banking Group, have co-founded a boutique wealth management firm – Anuva Wealth Advisors LLP in September, 2017. I am very thankful to Prof. J. D. Agarwal and some of the visiting faculty namely Prof. A. L. Nagar (Econometrics), Prof. P. K. Ghosh (Organisational Behaviour), Prof. Kanti Swarup (Operational Research) and Prof. Ramanujam (Econometrics and Research Methodology). It gives me great pleasure and pride to see the institute grow and move into its own campus.

Acquiring knowledge without knowing its practical application is an injustice to the knowledge on the first place. IIF provides only practically applicable knowledge to its students. It focuses on all around development of a student and raise their capability to face the challenges in career. However, everything comes in package. We hardly had easy day in IIF. We were almost kicking and screaming into delivering presentation, project, assignment, etc. at a short notice. Once entered into professional life we realized that the institute was preparing us then to deliver on the requirements of the work place/company. Like most of us in our batch, I am thankful to my institute, IIF, for its training and teaching to solve real world problems.
I consider myself fortunate enough to be a part of this reputed institute. I personally always wanted to pursue my management course in finance and this institute has helped me to fulfill my dream. Topics like Mergers & Acquisitions, Corporate Finance, Security Analysis & Portfolio Management became my favorites during my course. All the subjects were very well taught by highly qualified professors which made the life easy here. Through this institute I got wonderful opportunities for campus placements. I personally got placed in two finance based companies HDFC Ltd. and S&P Capital IQ. This institute gives the students a very good exposure through various Indian conferences and international conferences, which help them to develop interpersonal skills etc. So, overall my journey in IIF was very beneficial and fruitful.

I was a student of Indian Institute of Finance from 2007-2009 and it's been a great experience studying here. It not only helped me get a good education here but also helped me grow as a professional. Also, the ambience of the college was very good. It was not living away from your family but getting a new family and living with them.
