I had a weeklong stay at this place last year. It was arranged by my office. Buffet breakfast was complimentary.
Spread is huge with south indian, north indian and english breakfast items.
Few favourites: Tomato rice, masala omelette, idli are still the best I ever had.
Staffs are extremely courteous.
My overall stay was pleasant and comfortable.
I am a regular visitor to both restaurants of Haveli. While the a la carte Earthen Oven has always been perfect - taste, service, ambience, I had a bad experience recently at the buffet at Orchid. Usually the story ends there. But in case of Haveli, I am amazed by their comeback.
Their senior team immediately responded, investigated and addressed the issues, and took corrective measures. I can say this with confidence because my next visit was better than perfect. I had taken the chance to host the dinner of our board members and families, and the service, variety, and care was absolutely amazing. It was impossible to find a flaw.
My special thanks to Mr. Devendra Singh, Ms. Dipika Singh, and Mr. Ojha for their attitude to listen to customers with openness, and actually ensure improvement. Keep up the good work!
A nice place for family dinner. They have all the things you need but some items need to be added more specially in starters and also soup needs to be more appealing as every one will not like green peas soup. Ambience and desserts are worth but now there many restaurants which are in competition so need to improve on variety
We visited this place for a business breakfast and really enjoyed the experience. This restaurant is a part of Fortune Haveli Restaurant and is located on a mezzanine floor. The breakfast buffet spread is awesome and very reasonably priced. The staff is courteous and quick and the service is excellent. A must try for dinner/ lunch and breakfast.
Very courteous staff. Great food quality and hygiene. Everything was very clean and the staff was very polite and helpful. Had dum aloo kashmiri which was very tasty.

+4
Okay so this restaurant is a part of a big hotel and hence we were very warmly welcomed by the hotel guards right as we entered. The restaurant is quite big, ambience is classy, just as you would expect in a star hotel. Coming to the food, there were a good number of starters that included Fish Fingers and Chicken Kebabs and some saute vegetable starters. Starters were well prepared (4/5).
At the buffet there were loads of different types of salads, chaats, and many more pretty looking stuffs but I went straight to the main course section and grabbed on to some pulao and biriyani. There was a chicken dish which was pretty good(5/5) and a mutton dish which I didn't like(2/5).
The dessert counter was as usual very tempting. I grabbed on to a chocolate barfi, brownie, chocolate mousse and a cheesecake(it was my first try at cheesecake and the experience was pretty good). Desserts get 5/5.
Overall a good place, though it is a bit pricey for the quality of food( because it is part of Fortune Hotel), yet a decent place to have Non Veg food in a place like Gandhinagar where getting good NonVeg is a task!
A great experience with food and ambience. The service is prompt and friendly. The food is authentic and modification if needed is provided. I will surely visit this outlet again.
On the occasion of women's day, I got a chance to treat my taste buds at this place.
To start with place.. It is vibrant and beautifully lit place.. The staff was warm and cordial.. Overall the ambience is nice.. U can relish ur meal wid peace..😊
Coming to food.. I tried their veg buffet.. I must say the spread was colourful and had variety of delicious items.. It was a visual treat😃
I tried every item starting from soup to dessert and found the taste to be simple and satisfying.
They earned a brownie point when they presented a surprise cake for all the lovely ladies of our company. 😍
One of the best dining place in Gandhinagar.. Recommended for corporate lunches👍
Suggestion:
1. Please include few more delicacies in starters and Indian desserts.
2. Include wheat roti in the buffet.
As such orchid no needs introduction. Such a good place in Gandhinagar to hang out. Taste of foods are authentic. I visited with my family and feels like home. Staffs are too friendly and helpful specially Pratik, Bappa,Anju.
Fabulous Food. Wide range of menu to choose from, the staff is very friendly and responsive . Must visit if in Gandhinagar . This was the first time I tasted their food, surely visiting again soon.
Great Experience with Orchid Restaurant we were visited for Dinner few days. Tasty Food nice service. Thank you Team Fortune and keep it up!!!
Needless to write. But would...end up recommending anybody who is in search of good food, peace& a decent time wt family/friend (s).
The attendants are courteous, cordial ambience wt tastefully done up interior. And then you are offered live musical performances.Thats a lot to drive anybody straight to the haveli------- ENJOY(like i did!)!!!
If you are in Ahmedabad and you go for a meal to a restaurant, you would expect to eat a lot of Gujrati food -- Right? Wrong! I had breakfast and lunch at this restaurant when I was in Ahmedabad for the day and expectantly entered the restaurant, dreaming of the Gujrati snacks I would like to eat. Who doesn't relish Gujrati food?
For Breakfast, they had a buffet and the only Gujrati snack in the buffet was a "patra", which is made from colocasia leaves, with some spices -- ginger, garlis, chillies and with besan (bengal gram flour). With tamarind also thrown in, it gets a tangy taste. The patra in this restaurant was tasty and tangy. Other than that, there was the normal stuff -- Dosas, Eggs, muesli etc. I tried a Dosa and it came piping hot to my table. There was an interesting dish of aloo mutter (potato & peas). Overall, it was a good eating experience.
For Lunch, I again opted for the buffet option. Soup and starters are served on the table. The fish and chicken kebabs were well made. In the main course, there were a lot of options -- nothing really stood out, but all the dishes were reasonably good.
Service here is efficient. However, in the peak summer, this place can get trifle uncomfortable, as the Air-conditioning is unable to cool the entire place. The restaurant is open on one side and is open right upto the top floor -- making it impossible for any air-conditioning system to cool the place.
I do hope this restaurant has more Gujarati food, when I visit it next time!
Searched Zomato for non veg restaurant in Gandhinagar and i found orchid at fortune inn. Really a good place to have buffet. Egg curry was awesome. Starter was also great.
Had an awesome buffet lunch Food was cooked at it's best The staff is super polite and very smiley The hot tandoori roti's were the best Chef Deepak does a great job at the tandoori counter Loved most of the items on display. Ashish attended us who was also nice to talk to. Dessert had good varieties and the velvet cake was simply the show stealer there. I recommend their Egg Briyani for non veg and Paneer Makhani for the veg. Total a delightful experience for sure.
One of the best hotel in gandhinagar, excellent ambience, quality, service, cleanliness. Fish tikka was salty rest all the dishes were yummy.
Due to circumstances I had to spend a good amount of time over here... Well coming to the point overe here service is great with no doubt, they have buffet system all times. If you don't want buffet than they have Earth n oven which is not at al pocket friendly but thats a great restaurant. Well coming back to the orchid, breakfast is okay over here, except for Gujarati dishes which are totally non authentic. Rest is fine. Lunch and dinner is also decent but not up to ur expectation... They lost me at starters.... Overall my advice is if your stay is short than orchid will fulfil the purpose. And best thing which I forgot to mention is that they have mid night menu system which is better than regular one.
Happen to attend a seminar there.... I had a lunch buffet....
Food taste was good but was not kept warm enough.... Roti's were as cold as ice....
Desert was nice.... Salad was good....
Service was absent.... A single waiters was looking for the entire bunch....
Ambience is average....
Ok food and service. Good ambience and look traditional. I was here for two nights and used this place for dinner one night. food is om in taste and portion. More oily. Service is slow.
Staying here for a about two days now.
First things first food is tasty, as this review about the food. Taste is what matters the most right. Anyways the restaurant has limited siting capacity would advise u to book if u are here for dinner. The staff would always greet u a smile. U just have u look up if u want something there would a person to attend ur request. The spread is not too lavish but whatever is there its good and does tastes great. Yes they would need to improve on the desert section.
All together I would say if u dine here it would be great experience...
.....An Nyon Nhe!
Visited yesterday with family ordered from ala carte menu, Courteous staff, Very good service, moderate rates, nice ambiance, overall good food, 'Green thai curry' was best, i recommend when you visit Gandhinagar, take lunch or dinner here, you will not disappoint.
In the fortune inn haveli restaurant I was dinners when something is important for me . So this hotel is best for any purpose. But one thing I would like to tell you that the convocation hall carpet area is very nice for meetings .
Tried lunch buffet here...
Ambiance is nice. Service was fast.
Soup was disappointing.
Starters were pretty decent both veg and non veg.
They have good spread in Salad section. Veg food was really delicious especially Malai kofta in palak gravy.
Non veg food was average and this section needs more options.
Desert was below average. This section needs real improvement.
Overall a good experience.
The ambiance is great. Its one of those proper restaurants where everything is upto the mark. Their food in general is great. Chooza kebab is awesome.
The ambiance of the hotel in general is amazing. It is a proper business hotel with lots of energy and zing. The food is extremely well prepared and the flavors are really nice. The service was exceptional too.
By far the best place to go to for a pleasant meal in Gandhinagar.
Had the most amazing naan..soft, crisp and almost perfect. They have tasty food and their service is good. The ambience is nice and definitely is worth a visit when in Gandhinagar.
Being the only up-scale restaurant in Gandhinagar, we go there frequently. I've seen the transformation from being over priced joint to value for money establishment. Both veg and non veg spread is expansive (compared to cost), wait staff courteous and ambience pleasant.
After a long time had some real buffet (other then BBQ nation n wow grill who have max dry items)..real in terms of variety..at least 4 non veg dishes..a lotttttaaa dessert (not less then 8)..n a nice ambience..
Good Food....and...Tasty Food..
The taste of the food provided in this restaurant is really good. This restaurant also provides buffet which is a really good option if you wish to try many different varieties. I have stayed at Fortune Inn Haveli Hotel for many days and I have ate here almost every day. If you order from a la carte menu you might find the quantity a little bit less, but the food really tastes good.
One more good thing is tha the Chef mostly takes suggestions from the customers and thus it is a good thing if they continuously want to improve. I highly recommend this restaurant if you plan a dinner with your family or with your colleagues.
I have tried d buffet dinner here some time back and so we decided to try a la carte. We ordered all the punjabi stuff and it was all average. As it was Sunday there was delay in service. Overall I felt taste wise it was average can do much better. I would suggest to go for buffet or be more patient if want to enjoy the a la carte menu.
This place is a really good one in Gandhinagar. Especially the buffet. I loved the breakfast, the baked breads and cheese. As well as the non-veg section. The dessert section seemed fairly okay. Cheese cake could improve. It's a perfect place to host a party. The starters are really amazing especially the chicken BBQ starters. Can't have enough of it.
The food is simply great !
Ambience is lovely...
Service is a bit slow, but in my case ( breakfast ), most of it was buffet.
The only problem was that Jain people will find lack of variety.
Else, it was a worthwhile experience.
It has very awesome food, it has jice ambience and services, food qaulity is great, I love being at Fortune Inn Haveli! Buffet menu is really very good, chicken drum sticks with dip is really very good, the fish curries they cook has very authentic taste, chicken and mutton biriyani is superb, starters amd soups are really good and always a preferred to be have with all italian breads, deserts have very good menu for the Orchid, I oftenly visit this place with family, the food is worth to money!
Overall superb!
Food is simply awesome. Very good quality and ambience. But service is too slow. Everyone complains about that. But it's worth waiting. A go go. One of the best quality food in Gandhinagar.
I celebrated my birth day with my family here, they have restaurant named Orchid, which serves very delicious Punjabi Food and their evening buffet is a complete package of taste.
I found the food quality setting up all great benchmarks of a 5 star but sitting arrangement and ambiances can be improved more. The service is slow a little.
I tasted Garlic Cheese Kulcha, Paneer Lawabdar, Veg Tava Masala and a variety of sizzlers. Loved the food a lot. I will surely plan to visit the place again with my family.
