Thank you for delivering in this pandemic situation and great to have š£.
This restaurant is located in surya nagar and it is one of the old in this area, sitting was very normal yet comfortable, staff is also very polite I ordered dal makhani, shahi paneer, aloo paratha, lachha parantha, I liked dal makhani more than anything it was very creamy and tasty along with lachha paratha do try this restaurant if you are around.
Every dish is very spicy. They should not make it spicy
good place for vegetarians they serve authentic north indian taste is on the mild side not so masaledaar best for family outings...... all an all good place
A family restaurant with good presence of decor. They have many delicious item to eat with many chapatiās. they have garlic mirch naan š with daal makhni its a pleasure to eat it at the placeš
Went here with family. Very very tastyy food. The staff was very polite and humble. They listened to us carefully. Also they have indoor as well as outdoor seating. One must try their dal makhani for sure. Will visit again.
The best restaurant. The food is amazing. I had shahi paneer and daal makhani here and it was awesome. Also try their dum aloo and chole bhature. You're really missing out on life if you're not going to this place after reading this review. This is not some fancy restaurant but they have the best food and I'm not kidding at all.
This place is a big YES. šā¤ Please visit this place.

Childhood favorite. Taste as good as it used to be decades back. Friendly owner and staff. Must try is Aloo Naan and their complimentary masal green chillies.
This is a one restaurant which I've been visiting since 20 years (when it was a dhaba). Loved their crisp hot aloo naans and karahi paneer which they've been preparing since like forever and there taste is still the same (delicious). If you are in search of some really tasty veg food, then must visit this place.

It's my one of the favourite restaurant I am going there since my childhood.they maintain their taste from last 20 years.I and my family love their dal makhani and shahi paneer. Not only us but my father's childhood friend also loving its taste of food.
Quantity was little less but the taste was amazing. Garlic naans are something everyone must try. Delicious food and good service. Go for it.
I have been to this place last to last month but ths is the common place to have a family dinner or to order dinner coz of the taste and the other reason behind it is the best to get them on tym whenever its deliver the food is hot and tasty sometimes there is a lot of spices so its somehow difficult to finish up all otherwise the place is nice but you have to wait or pre book your table coz this place is having a lot of rush or the sitting arrangement problem other wise

Great dine in experience that you can have with your family! Owners are also humble and hostile! Great place to visit if you are looking for a quick service experience!!!!
Great food , delicious food combination with 5 star service.. My experience I ordered a vegie but didn't like it , they replaced it with another dish without asking for any money which insist me to leave a tip everytime i go for dinner there :)
Superb dishes for foodie , especially non veg dishes.every time I order the food i luv to get it as soon as possible
Cool stuffs and spicy chicken
One of the very finest. It has been a second name for outside food for many years now. Dal Paneer Gobhi korma with Aloo Naan and pyaaz remain the best.
Went to this place, after hearing a lot. But as it is just another, colony type, dhaba style food.
All these places have slightly above average preparation of main course read paneer and Dal makhani, but an excellent tandoori rotis, and stuffed naan. This was also similar.
Thereof makes sense if live in surya nagar to go or order home delivery of food, but doesn't make sense to travel and especially go for meal.
A fantastic place to have aloo parantha' and aloo nan..........My husband has been visiting this place since last 20-22 years........The aura of this place is just awesome....Though it looks like a Dhaba but food is to die for......A must try if u haven't been there.....Do try their pindi chole, aloo parantha,Shahi paneer n veg biryani
Visiting the place one Monday evening refreshed my childhood memories as I used to visit this restaurant few years ago with my family. It is one of the oldest family restaurants near Dilshad Garden.Ā
AMBIANCE
The place has two seating areas, which are mostly full during night time (even on weekdays). The area, where I had dinner, had dim lighting. The red color of the walls makes the look quite interesting in spite of a small area.
FOOD
Good thing about this restaurant is that half plate of north Indian gravies can also be ordered by paying 15 bucks extra. For example, if Dal Makhani costs Rs. 140 for full plate, then you can have half plate for Rs 85. The menu mainly boasts North Indian dishes along with chowmein.
We ordered half Dal Makhani, half Shahi Paneer and half Malai Kofta. These were accompanied with plain tandoori rotis and coke pet bottle. Dal was quite amazing and different from the regular restaurants or dhabas. The gravies of the Shahi Paneer and Malai Kofta were similar. Therefore, you can avoid one of them and try something else. The taste of gravies was also reasonably good and koftas were soft. The rotis tasted average.
Ā SERVICE
The attendant was unable to understand properly what we were ordering as he made few mistakes while taking order. The Dal Makhani came within 2-3 minutes of order, which was quite surprising. Other items came within 5 minutes of the order. Overall, the speed was amazing.
We were billed 394 bucks for all this as they didnāt charge any form of tax on food. You can definitely try this place with your family but be prepared to wait for the table especially if you are planning on a weekend.
How can I forgot to review to review this place. Visiting this place now for more than a decade now. Used to be a dhabba but growned to a full fledged restaurant because of the taste of its food.
It is situated in a middle of colony in surya nagar, the place could be really difficult to find if you are nee to the place.
Most of the staff is same from years and know their regular costumers. Otherwise, service is not that great.
Coming to the food, have tried almost everything from the menu, dal makhani, kadhai paneer and malai kofta are all time favourites.
The place is one of the most economical north Indian restaurant, I have ever been too.
Don't expect this place to be a fine dining experience. The place and food will give you more of a dhabba feel.
I do not know about the exact distance to which they delivers. But my place is around 3.5 kms away from the outlet and they delivers to my place.

This is one place which has been a constant since my school days!
The place serves delicious Indian cuisine. It's a small place in the locality of surya nagar and has a limited seating place which is great for a normal family dinner.
Ordered- chilly paneer, dal makhani , palak paneer, breads
I have had better dal makhani elsewhere, paneer was soft and good. Server was kind and helpful.
Decently priced, not the cleanest of the place though so don't expect a fancy restaurant
All in all a backup plan whenever I'm craving for good Indian food
I have been visiting this place since ever, the food here is really amazing. Specially the dal makhani its yummy. Chole bhature as a breakfast are too good. And malai kofta is worth trying, for a change its not sweet.
Been here like thousands of time... Quality remain same... Value for money... Staff is so customer friendly.. And Food out of the world... Just eat and got to know.. Try urself...
I have been going to this place for more than 10 years now and the way this place has maintained its quality over the years is commendable. The food here is absolutely mouth-watering and amazing. Their Chana Masala and Paneer Naan are just another dishes served at every other restaurant, but eat them here and you'll never like these dishes anywhere else, again. Plus the service is really good. Its blazing fast and the waiters are really polite. And all of this for 150 bucks per person. I couldn't have asked for more.
The place is super awsome and it was not my first visit to Maini Restaurant Surya Nagar. .have been there many times from last 10 years .. Many people knws this restaurant by the name Maini Diary because of there old business I believe. Vegetarian Restaurant serving regular indian food but the quality of the food is just perfect also maintaining there standard quality .. Low spice food . Small cosy restaurant having main kitchen and tandoori section outdoor and sitting inside as well as outside . The restaurant is situated like gem in between posh colony of Surya nagar . Taste is very homely . This time we had dal makhani , Paneer makhani and tandoori rotiss and mirchi paratha .. mirchi paratha was with green chilly but I asked with Red chilly and they made it as per my choice .....It was super Awsome I must say . My favorite style . I enjoyed thoroughly my meal . I never come disappointed from this place . Service is super awsome . The restaurant was fully packed with there bookings as it was weekend ...š
One of the finest Indian cuisine in surya nagar.
His dal.mkhni n shahi paneer is his speciality.. As years passed maintain his quality standard. Love to be thr every sunday..or i caled thm n.asked for home delivey..
If one want to go enjoy a family meal but are budget concious,go for this place. Service is very quick and the food is tasty. Gives a dhaba feel..overall a reasonable and a good place
This little family restaurant is just amazing. I have been to this place like a trillion times and I derive the same level of satisfaction from here each time. The typical yet finger licking north indian food is their speciality. Food is really very fresh and tempting. Service is quick. Staff is decent. A pocket friendly affair too. Highly recommended.
This is a good place for veggies. The food is tasty and is offered at good price. Home delivery is also good. This may not be a fine dinning but can be a nice place to go out with family and enjoy good food. The place is air-conditioned and the serves are polite. Overall it is a simple place with simple north indian menu.
Going at this place since many years now, a must go place if you are here in Surya nagar. Great quality of service and food.
Nice with family outings our with friends
Great budget restaurant. Amazing food really yummy North Indian Cuisines. They only thing you may not like are the waiters they don't have a proper dress up and all so one may feels that it's quite unhealthy though I believe its hygienic. Good food worth giving it a try and you will wish to try it again and again often.
One of the best place to have food with friends and family.
Have been to this place many times and its food was always very delicious. Dal makhni naan is the best.
I have been going to this restaurant for ages now. Its like a second kitchen from where I eat. :) located in the middle of a locality gives it a competitive disadvantage against other competitors but because of being run alone has given it reputation among locals. The restaurant has done fairly well while maintain the quality but increasing the prices a little high. But I guess if u can eat yummy dal makhni and noodles just near to your home. No one mind shelling little more. They have expanded their sitting arrangement and still you have to wait to get your seat during weekends. Staff service is pretty decent and you get lot of options from their north menu food list
The best in the locality. Amazing food + quality + quantity.
Its a good option for home delivery and even for dine in.
Must try: Chana Pindi, Paneer Labaabdaar and Aloo Naan.
Decent restaurant with good food. Must try aloo naan, chilli naan, dal and green chilli pickle. Recently reduced the quantity and increased prices but still affordable. Best for dhaba style north indian food.
A small resturant just few steps away from my home but its always over crowded. What you must order here is aalo naan and dal makhni. They serve the naan with their signature green chilli pickle which actually add awesomeness to the food. Good for vegetarians and to get a dhaba taste in the city.
Quite decent place to go with family for your family occasions, AC Resturant with a nice sitting room and the home delivery is quite quick too.
But two things I would like to mention are:
1) The sabzis are over priced.
2) Quantity is less as per the rates.
Otherwise, the food is acutally yummy and the "meethi suanf" they give after the meal is the catch of the whole food. :P
Mainy Dairy might look small restaurant or dhaba but offers Very tasty north indian food. Must visit in case you stay nearby. Dal makhani and paneer at its best.
The food is really good at maini restaurant.
.
If someday you do not wanna cook at home, Maini Dairy can be a good option for Dhaba style North Indian food.
Their Dal Makhni is well cooked... simmered for hours..dhaba style dal and tastes good with either naan or well layered lachha parathas (made of wheat flour). Their Aloo Naan is also worth a try.
The only caution is, although they have some Chinese options as well, its better to stick to North Indian food to avoid any disappointment.
So, if you like Dhaba food with decent place to sit, Maini is the answer
During college days one of our friends used to take us to this joint. Yesterday after 20 years, we travelled back in time and still had the same tasty Dal Makani and Tandoori Roti"s. It is still the best.
Undoubtedly the best restaurant in this area. Value for money. Quality of food is excellent. Must try their chole bhature in breakfast and aloo naan.
This modest looking, pure veg restaurant has come a big way from being a Dhabha. The quality of food is remarkable and it is obvious that you would have to wait for at least 10-15 minutes to get a table. The chole bhature, Channa masala, laccha and pudina prantha are simply delicious. If you have an awe for spice I m sure u r gonna love it's mirchi ka acchar. In desserts it's in house ice creams and gulab jamun are amazing. The ambiance and the overly loud waiters can be reformed. Overall I m sure people are gonna enjoy the food out here.
Delicious north Indian food.. Fast service n value for money.. Go for it if you like simple taste
This is one place in our vicinity that one can blindly can go eat whatever one feel like! The food is amazing Be it the samosas or the stuff naan or the dal makhani to its winter special 'gajar ka halwa'! Anybody who enters to eat will agree to how lip smacking food is! And it's crispy lachha parantha is something you definitely don't wanna miss. Service is quick ! And one doesn't need to worry about the hygiene. Over all it gives the tastiest food with such cheap price and an overwhelming experience.
good food, but consistent, so gets boring at times but a great relieve for people who are veggies!
overall good ambience, quantity and quality is also good.
[not great but its place where u want to go, and just have a good dinner, which is easy on pockets]
Its probably that restaurant when your mother doesnt allow me to order from the big competitors like pizza hut, dunkin donuts or kfc. Even places nearby like el posto bakery and cafe wink, do provide us with excellent food. But sometimes.. You're in the mood of something light to the pocket, hygienic, fast and without hassle.
Hassle refers to talking in english to the customer executive of dominos who's more interested in your personal details rather than your order. Moreover, thier north eastern - bihari - south indian english just kills it.
Anyways. This place has two seating areas. Both of them with marble top tables and cushioned chairs. Both of the areas are properly air conditioned with o-general aircons.
The service here is fast, polite but endear a attitude of no nonsense personality. Food here is excellent, especially pindi cholle, malai chap and paneer tikka. Aloo naan and missi roti are good! Price per head is less than 250.
Overall, good eating area in the vicinity.
The food is yummm. !!
Feels like we are eating home cooked meals !!
Best and affordable with real dhabha like feeling..i love going back to maini for its aloo naan..malai kofta...and gulab jamun
Best....in the area; and it is a trusted one :)
Feels like home cooked food
One of my all time favorites...
Food is yum yum (i love their paneer lajawab, tikka, & the distinct flavor in the aloo naan preparation) , and hygienic as well (never had any issues even minor as gastric).
Place is cozy and particularly suitable for family hang outs.
Though ambiance is not that great for the special occasions (like 2.5 on 5).
I have been to this joint quite a few times. Small place, lively decor and rush at any point of time is what you can always expect. Being an avid non vegetarian, this is one of the those all veg places which still appeals to me. We had tandoori rotis, nice buttery nans, mixed veg sauteed to perfection and spicy kadhai paneer. Their smiling service almost made our day which is so rare these days.
When complimented on their good service, the waiter coyly said, " Madam, aj to bill laane mein thora late ho gaya." The humility along with the great food absolutely made our day. And something worth mentioning is the absolutely endearing mouth freshener sachets that they generously hand out after the meal. very nice, very appetising. If good and cheap vegetarian food is what you want, definitely head this way.
Now this is one of my favorite places. It used to be a small dhaba but over the years it has grown and come up as a very decent family restaurant and now even has air conditioners in its dining area.. Do not expect anything from its ambience, its a cheap eating outlet.. But what you will be assured of is really delicious food.. You try any of their preparation- Malai Kofta, Paneer Lajawaab, Malai Chap, Gobhi Korma - everything has a wonderful taste and especially their aloo naan is the most sought after bread.. The service is very quick and you can have an incredibly tasty, cheap and fulfilling meal in no time.. Get home delivery if you stay nearby.. 4.5/5 if you are a food lover..
Cheap and best north indian restaurant in surya nagar. The food is kept very simple and gives a touch of homemade food.I often visit this place. My fav is bhindi masala and butter naan with dal makhani.
Talking abouy its ambiance, do not expect much just value the food and go home :P
Overall...
