Very nice Korean restaurant. It's a genuine place with very nice staff who are always willing to help. The seafood that we ordered was not that fresh, but I expected that since you almost never get fresh seafood in Delhi. Other than that, the presentation was good and the ambience of the place was very good.
Loved the food there. We ordered marinated pork, kimchi pan cake. The taste was amazing and it was very fresh. The ambiance of the restaurant is also very good. The serving staff also is very friendly. Totally loved that place.
Went to Gung the Palace for lunch with my family. The decor of the restaurant is great, you immediately feel like you are not sitting in a restaurant in Gurgaon. I personally love Korean food, and I must say Gung the Palace lived upto it's expectations. Great food, great service. Will definitely come visit again.
After a long long time I finally went to this place. Where should I start with ambience, food or the staff, I definitely liked all of them and more. Let's not waste time and start with food first.
We ordered Soju(not the plum Soju) along with beer to dilute its strong taste. God, it really hit you if you go for shots. So be careful, it don't burn like vodka or tequila but its so strong.
First came all the side dishes that you can refill as much as you want but will suggest you not to unless you are a big eater. All their dishes in the menu came in a large portion. The medium portion size can easily feed 3-4 person. We ordered charcoal spicy BBQ pork and Haemul Jeongsol which is a seafood casserole. They will give you a bowl of rice if you ask almost with every dish and won't charge you extra for that. The staff chop the seafood for us. Every dish is very flavorful and not so spicy. Try each bite with different side dishes you will get very unique taste in every bite.
There is no dessert place in our stomach but we still manage to eat a big chunk of watermelon and a bite of a super juicy melon. The fruits are complimentary from the Restaurant. Please try to enjoy something new its rewarding.
It is one of the best places to try out korean cuisines. The food is delicious and authentic.Customizations are available here and the service is very good.
This is my favourite restaurant in Delhi NCR. Having been to Korea and eaten local food there I can confirm that their food is incredibly authentic and delicious. I keep going back for the Tteokbokki which is more than enough for 2 people. Love the ambience and the girls are really sweet too! Check out the whole place for cute little decor pieces and try on traditional Korean dresses in the culture room.
The food is quite good . But it isn’t assured to be great each time . The service is quite great and it’s always a pleasure to dine at GUNG. Would definitely recommend going to this restaurant as a family or couple . Worth every bit
For the first time i tried korean food and my experience was good enough. Best korean food is served here. I tried chum churam, sushi noodles and various main courses and i kinda like it. I felt like eating in a korean restro . For a korean food lover there are variety of choice. Must try!!
I visit to gurgoan I had Korean food it's was so good lovely place to experience the Korean food..... There was full non vegitarien food....
An authentic Korean place, in case someone wants to try.
Food : we ordered Hameul Ramyeon and vegetable roll. The Ramyeon is a seafood dish and is very authentic. Not everyone will like it because of it's different flavour but still the safest and a tasty option. The vegetable roll is actually kind of veg sushi. It is a little bland and is to be eaten with soy sauce. There are also a lot of side dishes like kimchi which are a good complement.
Taste 4/5
Ambience : it's a beautiful place. They have small compartments where you can sit and enjoy your food. You need to remove your shoes.
5/5
Staff : the staff is very courteous and will help you out with the understanding of the menu
Overall 4/5
Lovely place to experience Korean food. The side food and the main course is just satiating. Mostly non veg but good options available for veg people, but make sure you ask which one has egg because apparently most of the veg dishes
It goes with the name, authentic food as it is. If you ain’t foodie enough to try Korean cuisine then better lay off. The interiors are different experience, it’s more like you step into Korea . The food menu isn’t-easy to grasp. Either research or let them serve you what best they think and sit tight with those bowls filled with different different teasers to eat. My experience was pretty decent here. Though it takes time to develop taste of such cuisine. Thank you for the hospitality.
Amazing place for Korean food lovers. Really beautiful place. Felt like a little trip to Korea. Great services and ambience. Also little cute stuff is available for purchase. Worth a visit
Wanna try out authentic Korean cuisine? Then you have to visit this place and try out their food.
If you have ever been interested into Korean culture (read sitcoms and k-pop!😆), this place will amaze you with its detailed decorations and cute little cubicles for enjoying food with your group without being disturbed. The entire decor will make you feel transported to local korean eatery!
The staff at gung wears traditional Korean attire called hanbok and serve guests with complimentary ginseng tea.
The place got us so excited that we ended up over ordering!! 😆😆
The menu covers most of the famous Korean dishes and more. It will get you super excited if you are already familiar with this cuisine.
So we ordered gimbap, tteokbokki, jajangmyeon, ramyeon and don kkasen. Apart from the dish we ordered, they served us with an array of complimentary side dishes (called 'banchan', common in Korean restaurants) including kimchi, danmuji and other fermented veggie pickles, rolled omelette, ham slices etc etc. The dishes are true to their authentic taste and you will only like them if you have a taste bud for such type of cuisine, because I know a lot of people who doesn't like Korean food, so to each to their own.
Has been a long time since visited this place. Will visit soon!!

Had heard a lot about this Authentic Korean place and finally went there with a group of 6 friends to try the variety!
🥘🍲 What we loved the most: Tteok bokki (spicy Rice cake), Bibimbap, dak bulgogi! 🍜🍛
Simply loved the ambience right from entering the restaurant to get seated in the private cosy rooms to getting the dinner served.
Was amazed by the variety and especially the veg options as well! They provide so many complimentary starters and sides and serve all the food according to the number of people at the table. You just sit in the room, decide and use the bell to call. No one would disturb you and you can enjoy your private dinner.
Loved the live food being cooked hot at the table. Everything seemed authentic, even their cutlery and stove was all made in Korea!
Must visit for all - the experience is worth it!
I just can’t describe this place in words... it’s much more than words. I am a great fan of KPOP and KDRAMA. I love how they maintain their culture throughout the world. I like to try Korean cuisine a lot and that’s why whenever I hear a new Korean restaurant I am already on toes to visit it asap! This place will give you the true insight of their culture and food. The food is delicious and the hospitality is warm. They help you with the right choices according to your taste and believe me you won’t regret your visit at all. A family or friends can have a separate seating room and it just enhances your experience. I would recommend all to try deep fried chicken (sweet and sour), Yaki Mandu ( fried dumpling) , Haemul Pajeon ( Korean pancake), tteok bokki ( spicy rice cake with chicken) and for drinking don’t forget MAKKOLI - it’s my favourite! Last but not the least as good as it taste the food is expensive here but the portion size won’t disappoint you. I would love to visit this place again! :) keep it up team Gung.
The original is still the best - went to Gung after ages and for sure the experience was the best Korean private dining in town. The appetizers were good as always. The bibimbap was great and of course the Seafood casserole with octopus was awesome. The kids area is a great add on for parents. Service is swift and courteous. Highly recommended
Almost travelled 300kms just to eat here, and what a delight!! portions are gigantic (can’t complain) A group of people would be better than just two💀
Absolutely loved everything about this place! The food and its presentation was amazing but the restaurant itself is so authentic and beautiful. People who love korean food should definitely try it out.
One of the finest Korean restaurant I’ve been to, the food is amazingly tasty along with the mouth watering appetisers. The place is huge and they have these small authentic seating areas which is like a small room and you get a button to call for assistance if required. You have your full privacy and it’s fun to along with friends to have a good time. The service is very good and the staff is very attentive. The former President has dined here so I guess that gives justice to the review overall. :)
OH MY GOD THIS PLACE IS TO DIE FOR! I loved everything about it. The food was great, the ambience was totally killer and the staff was the sweetest and the most polite! Definitely definitely going back!
Visiting this place after a long time, and surprised the see they still cook testy foods, this time ordered kanpunghi and sea food ramyan, really good and authentic teste. I usually come here whenever visit Gurugram.
Went to gung the palace for the second time. Enjoyed the food. The bibimbap was very nice though they should have chicken or pork options for non beef eaters. We ordered the bone soup, seafood casserole, a chicken casserole, prawn tempura roll, boiled lamb chops, chicken cutlets, fried dumplings and beef ribs. The cutlets and boiled lamb were the best out of all the dishes. The seafood casserole was good but could have had more prawns and squid. Enjoyed the kimchi and other accompaniments.
Wished they had a wider dessert selection. The restaurant is pricey but is as close to the real deal as you can get in NCR.
Visit this place if you like korean cuisine...... (like seriously if you are into korean food) or sea food. The ambience will totally give you the south korean vibes...... They serve you very well and the staffs are so polite and kind.
One of the best Korean food available in NCR and deserves repeated visit to the restaurant in any of their branches excellent food and nice service
Rare place for authentic korean. The prices are justified by the portions and variety of complementary sides. Recommended that the place be visited in a group.
Staff is friendly and well trained. Decor is on point. A first timer may find the taste a little bland or unfamiliar. Recommend focusing on the texture of the food than the flavour. Try not to order too much
For me it remains the best place ever that I ever went to. Gonna miss it so much!!! I am a vegetarian and love the food there... particularly gonna miss the kimchi. I wish I could purchase bottles and bottles of it. The ambience was great and the staff was really supportive and nice. hearts!!!
Gung the palace is good for non veg dishes. I try their some non veg dishes which was very delicious and well presented. The ambiance is beautiful and decor is awesome.
We Went Gung The Palace for Lunch we loved the Ambiance.
Their Food and service was awesome.
We had lunch which is having 1 starter, main course. We loved the food, ambiance and service will definitely come again and recommend to others.
Team Gung the palace thanks for the lovely Lunch.

If you’re looking for delicious, authentic Korean food, then Gung is a must. I visit this restaurant frequently and am never disappointed.
Ambience
They have a mix of regular tables and chairs, and private dining rooms (PDRs) with traditional Korean seating on the floor. I always go in for the traditional seating as it builds the entire experience. It’s a quiet place and also has a kids play room.
Food
With a variety of meats and sea food, I’m yet to taste anything on the menu that I haven’t liked. They start with complimentary nick-nacks on every table, and it’s not just peanuts or a salad. They normally give 4-5 kinds of sides which changes every time I go, but the potato pancakes have always been a constant. They serve fresh salad with the main course and cut fruits at the end of your meal. A lot of people end up thinking the food is expensive, but it really isn’t. Not for the kind of meats you get, the amount of complimentary stuff, and the huge portion size. Do try:
Dumpling and rice cake soup
Dolsot bibimbab
Marinated beef with glass noodle and vegetables
Seafood casserole
Wagyu barbecued beef
Kimchi fried rice
Service
Very warm and quick. They ask you if they can cook certain dishes in front of you, which is how I like it. In that case, they place a mini stove on your table and let some casseroles and stews cook right there. There’s a call button placed at every PDR table to call the servers and they always respond immediately.
My family n myself enjoyed the food. The staff is very warm. My mother who is a vegetarian wanted a salad. They didn’t have any veg dishes but the staff still managed to put together a veg salad for her.

🙌 love for Korean food! This place is amazing to go with your friends to have some authentic Korean food. Quite an experience of Korean Culture and Cuisine. The seating options are varied from Tables to private seating booths. The interior is absolutely beautiful and the food served is top class. A lot of the dishes are even made right in front you. You can ask the staff for which ones those are. Every single thing on the menu is an experience in itself. Would recommend people that are well versed with and enjoy East Asian Cuisine; or someone who's willing to try it for the first time.
Gung the place is an amazing restaurant. The restaurant decor looks beautiful. The serving staff was decent and polite happily helped all their guests. This restaurant is an excellent choice to have dinner and drinks with friends.
I would highly Recommend this place.
Gung the palace is a recommended place for Korean food if you're desperate to try it. The portion size was huge. We ordered tempura shrimp sushi which was fresh and tasted great. Then came the stir fried pork and squid, which was huge in quantity and tasted good. The squid had some more scope to be cooked though. The bbq pork ribs could have been less sweet and the stir fried glass noodles were just average. The complementary dishes were also worth it. Overall it was a nice experience, just that the for service as well you had to call the waiters everytime.
the review of this place has been long over due since I've made so many visits here yet it surprises me everytime. it's the most authentic Korean experience you can find in gurgaon. The service is great people are kind and courteous.
coming to the food, for someone who isn't familiar with the Korean cuisine like myself I decided to start with the dimsum variation called yaki mandu, theyres filled with chicken and deep fried however they never feel heavy or oily. My pescatarian friend has tried the veg gimbap many times and loves it and so do it. it's really fresh and wholesome. However, this time around we ordered the number 29 seafood soup. WARNING unless you haven't eaten anything that day or you're sharing your meal with someone else, don't order the soup for yourself. it was a great soup and tasted amazing the only trouble was that the portion size was huge and I don't have anything against that I'm planning to order it the next time I visit I just won't be ordering anything else with it like I foolishly did the last time. I really enjoyed that larger than life soup it was fresh with clean flavours just like a lot of the other Korean dishes. The last thing we ordered was the pork katsu roll, which I had to say I didn't enjoy as much as the other dishes, it seemed a little bland for a dish with pork in it. I have tried the vegetarian version of the same and I really liked it.
But the food that we order isn't the reason why I like Gung, it's the sides that you get with every meal even if you order just one dish it is accompanied with sides like kimchi, potato pancakes, spinach with sesame seeds, a lot of vegetables and a beef dish. it's truly an experience and makes you wanna catch a flight to Seoul. I hope Gung never stops doing what they do.
Had been craving for a good bibimbap and a bit of soju after a whole day of shopping and some decent K-Pop binging. This place not only made me feel at home, the food was amazing and also led me down a path of old Seoul culture.
After hearing my friends rave about this place for months, we finally made plans to eat here. This was my first time trying korean cuisine and I was not disappointed. I let my friends take charge in ordering since they knew exactly what to get. Every dish down to dessert was rich in flavor and delicious. If you are into trying new cuisines, definitely try this restaurant.
Gung maintains the authenticity and experience to the T. Really liked the layout and the seating plans. The waitresses looked like from Korea and had difficulty understanding our English. Maybe their Hindi is better than their English.
Coming to the food, it is very distinct from Chinese food, much high on flavours and some unique content like radish and tap root- usage of Kimchi is high. The meat stews can be spicy and eating rice with steel chopsticks can be tricky although the rice is sticky.
It's definitely a unique experience and worth all the money.
Deducting the 1 star as the menu was very cryptic with no help on contents, spice level and did not mention the dish will have mutton, pork, chicken or prawns.
Privacy is the main concern and well adjusted along with korean cuisine. Good experience among Gurgaon breweries in Sector 29. Menu is carefully curated.
Love the Korean food here! Most of all their idea of the cabins. I found it very amusing of the seating system they have created. We always go to experience that along with the food. They serve you with a lot of complimentary starters (or maybe I do not know the correct term) and the quantities of food they serve is generous. Great idea for comfort food but don’t step in if you don’t like slightly bland (read aptly flavored) food, you won’t like it ! Have been in awe for a long time :)
Walk in : for a date, with friends, for Korean food
Must have : the complimentary starters
Cheers!
Good food and atmosphere, but I have to take 1 star away for the service. While we got the first glass of water and our food really quickly, the refilling got neglected and we had to try and get their attention to signal. But still a nice little place that's nowhere as crowded as other places in the City.
This place gave me my first taste to Korean food, and I have desperately clung on ever since. The tangy kimchi that they serve here is something I crave regularly. Their weekday lunch offer is quite a nice catch. You get a main and side dish + unlimited starters (I would go here JUST for the starters) for 450 bucks exclusive of taxes. Their bibimbap and spicy ddeokbokki is a MUST try. Makkoli (rice wine) was an interest ing drink too. Do make sure to go here on an empty stomach!
In this blog post, I cover Gung The Palace, a casual dining restaurant in Sector 29, Gurgaon.
My love for authentic Korean cuisine is eternal. After relocating from Seoul in 2012, I was utterly disappointed to discover that there wasn't much effort put in by any Indian restaurateur to promote Korean cuisine across the country. It was around the same time that I'd discovered Gung The Palace, a casual dining restaurant in Sector 29 Gurgaon - hailed as a one-stop-shop for all my favorite Korean food and drinks like the Kimchi fried rice (Bokkeumbap), spicy stir-fried octopus (Nakji Bokkeum), Ginseng chicken soup (Samgye-tang), mung bean pancake (Bindae-tteok), dried seaweed roll (Gimbap), Korean wine (Soju), and many more.
Amazing ambience, great service, lovely experience and just about average food... Gung is a treat to your eyes and a test for your palate. Great salads, the Kimchi is as authentic as it can get... Sticky rice and chicken were good... Live barbecue pork and beef on Korean barbecue plates is intriguing at its best. I wouldn't say it was bad but u definitely need a trained palate to enjoy Gung to the fullest.
Instagram had me dreaming about the whole Korean food experience.
The food Gods were generous enough and we came across a duo of Korean friends who run this authentic Korean restaurant in Sector 29, Gurgaon.
I was delighted to have my first Korean meal consisting of Katsu chicken, dumplings, kimchi fried rice and stir fried glass noodles. Excellent stuff!👌
Awesome experience..They serve you in traditional Korean style. The dishes are so good. You have options for both spicy and non spicy dishes from soups to sticky rice. There portions are huge so think before you order. They have hot pot dishes which are served in live hot pots on stoves. Overall a very good experience. Its bit expensive but value for money if you looking for an experience.

Authentic is the word I would use to describe this place. Everything about this place is completely authentic. Eating here was an amazing experience. The staff were all very friendly and to top it all up there are a few amazing paintings and art work displayed which adds to the flavor of experience.
This place was recommended to me by a friend so I decided to visit. It has a nice little chambers for your privacy, something you seldom find in restaurants these days. I can write pages about the decor and ambience.
Coming to food. I found the prices a bit high. However, it seemed justified when the food got served.
Recommended.
Beautifully done up interiors and well maintained restaurant is a delight to enter in and enjoy authentic Korean food. They have an exhaustive menu that caters to every taste, having several options for vegetarians as well. I quite liked their side accompaniments too.
Overall, must go to place.
Only downside... Slow service. Had to ring bell 5 times for someone to come and take our order.
I was in a mood for some eastern treat and I decided to hit this place. A nice entrance with Korean scribbled on the walls with antiques placed beautifully at the entrance gives the feel as if one is actually in the tiny eastern nation. Received a warm and friendly welcome and I discovered that they had tradition Korean seating on the floor with a BBQ placed in the centre. That was amazing! They had plenty of options and I decided to have a chicken kimchi broth and fried prawns. Both the dishes were absolutely mouth watering and they served 4 side salads with them which were so refreshing. The broth has a perfect balance of sour and fire and gelled beautifully with the rice. The prawns were crisp yet tender and juicy! Finally they served some fruits in the form of musk melon and watermelon to conclude our meal. A wonderful experience overall! Only one point.. I wish the attenders were a bit more friendly and interactive. Otherwise thumbs up for this place! :)
Try the Korean wine and the pork ribs
Deep fried chicken is avoidable.
Ambience is interesting, you a a private dining area with a sliding door and a call bell !
Staff is very helpful although don't take advice from Juniors (tagged by restaurant)
It's a wonderfull restaurant. They provide cabins.
Wonderful Korean food. And good service.
We ordered
Gynsang chicken soup - 4/5
It was good in portion for two having a big peice of chicken and rice in it. chicken soup served with lot of side small salads like asparagus, small egg roll zucchini and potato in some sauce. It was really gud.
Fried crispy chicken(not sure abt the name unable to remember the name) -5/5
It was delicious every peice is crispy juicy from the inside and in the perfect dressing of sweet and salty sauce. Loved it.
Perfect ambience though Thier prices are high.
1. Authentic good food.
2. Authentic seating.
3. Good complimentary Salad Serve.
4. Must try Plum Soju.
5. Vegetarians need not be afraid. :)
This place is my go-to fix for authentic Korean bbq . My usual order is -Spicy Pork Belly/ Marinated Beef and spicy Squid. If one word could perhaps sum it all up is "Gratification"! I am in complete awe of this place. The kimichi's that come as condiments along with the mains are equally satiating.
The staff is polite and Mr. Kim who is the owner/ manager is very interactive and ensures you have a good satisfying meal. A perfect place for the discerning palate.
Been there for dinner, The starters was tasty and main course too!!!!!!!!!!!!Salads were mouthwatering and also tasted good!!!!!!You also must visit!!!!!!!!
A refreshing change from sector 29 that's otherwise filled with bars (not that we are complaining). Most of their grilled beef and pork dishes are good. So bulgogi and chilli pork being on too of my list, tbe seafood both, pork and calamari chilli are also delicious. It's best to go in a big group to enjoy a large variety of food
Gem of a place is Gung The Palace!! A total royal treatment. Being a Korean food lover I took my friend to help introduce this lovely cuisine and myself was taken for the sweetest surprise of my life. Authenticity to the core. The interiors, the table setting, the hostesses, the cubicles, and most definitely the service and food. Had the roast duck BBQ and tempura prawn roll accompanied by sweet plum soju. My friend has officially become a Korean food and customs lover. The freebies were quite phenomenal too and I shall visit again to try more of their fare. #SeoulToSoulFood
I don't have taste buds for Korean food I guess but my friend really liked this place. So it is totally upto a person's taste. But the ambience, sitting area service everything was an experience. It was so different than others restaurants we usually visit.
I honestly don't remember all the things we ordered, but I do remember enjoying them all! The food tasted great and I liked the atmosphere. The restaurant was clean and the servers were really nice.
Gung, an authentic Korean Restaurant located in New Delhi and Gurgaon is owned by Kim, who prefers to be called “Sexy Kim”. He was the star of the afternoon, from showing us around the restaurant to introducing the Korean culture and food.
FIRST LOOK
As you enter “Gung” you are greeted by the cheerful staff. The place is well-lit and has a warm feel to it. The interiors represent the Korean culture with the traditional Korean dine-in setting, cutlery and paintings by Kim’s mom who’s a renowned painter. Kim, introduced us to the Korean culture through a presentation starting with traditional marriage ceremony, where the groom’s family is required to give dowry to the girl’s family, interesting isn’t it🙂, followed by dressing and hair styles of Korean women, where tying hair in a certain way represents whether she’s married or single.
The dine-in setting, traditional Korean way has people sitting on the floor around a table where thtraditional Koran dining stylee dishes are served. The pictures below depicts the same with table laid with a table mats, cup and a bowl, a spoon and metal chopsticks. These tables were inside cabins, where the shoes are required to be taken off before you enter. The metal chopsticks are unique to the Korean food culture.
FOOD
The menu was preset for us, we started with the “Kim Chi” salad, which was tangy topped with chilli paste, which was not so hot.
It was followed by radish based “Kim Chi” which had the same flavour.
Then, it was time for some Pork treat with Marinated barbecued Pork Ribs a.k.a WANG GAIBI. A traditional burner with stone based plate was placed on the table and Pork Ribs were placed on it along garlic pods and was prepared live on the table. The Pork tasted juicy and soft. This is supposed to be eaten with a fresh lettuce leaf, and a traditional dressing, with onions dipped in a secret dressing presented in a bowl. So, you take a lettuce leaf, place the meat on it, drizzle some dressing and onions and Voila, it tasted bliss.
The CHAPCHAE or stir-fried glass noodles with vegetables and DAK BULGOGI or marinated Chicken with glass noodles and vegetables were flavourful.
The beauty of authentic Korean style cooking is the flavours, the glass noodles tossed with chicken as well as vegetables are a classic example. The sea weed soup was a concoction which represented pure natural flavours with no seasonings.
BIBIMBAP, which was rice topped with vegetables cooked in Stone pot had mildly sweet flavours. The vegetable pancake was fluffy and stuffed with vegetables was light appetizer.
These dishes would make you realize with minimal spices, you can taste actual flavours of vegetables like mushrooms etc. These authentic Korean delights filled my mouth with flavours of juicy pork, fresh vegetables and tangy “Kim Chi” and is not at all heavy on your stomach. Go for it, it’s an experience to live, to see, and to taste.
RATING :-
*>* Kimchi :- 5/5 tangy and chilli
*>* Bibimbap : 4/5
*>* Chapchae : 4/5
*>* Wang Galbi : 5/5, Juicy and soft porky treat
*>* Dak Bulgogi : 4/5
*>* Sea weed soup : 4/5
If your really sure to experiment and your open to really new food grounds, Gung the Place should surely find a top on your list. It has great ambiance, and so luxurious, you might swoon on how authentic everything around seems. Korean paintings and cubicles and sitting on mat flooring and eating with chop sticks, every detail adds massively to your experience.
I tried Dak bulgogli, Seafood Noodle Soup (Haemul Kalguksu), and the dim sum platter.
I really enjoyed it and i would love to come back soon. The variety of sea-food offered it totally love.
You may be at a loss if you arent comfortable with seafood.
Perfect place for a sit down meal, even better to go in a group since the portion sizes are big and there is so much on the menu that is delicious! The grills/barbecues are the best and the experience of cooking it live in the little eating chamber makes it even better! Bibimbap is very good too!
This is probably the first Korean Restaurant that opened in Gurgaon. This place has maintained the quality standards right from the inception. A typical Korean in nature, GUNG offers some delicious starters at no extra cost. Their Glass Noodles are perfect here, not too sticky not too thick, just perfect. Another thing i liked here is the Wasabi paste, very authentic and strong unlike what you get in most of the places. Rice Wine is also a must have here. Guys its very strong so please drink slowly :-)
I am a regular at Gung The Palace as my clients and employer are Koreans. I just love this place for its authentic food and ambience. The food served are unique and great. They have quite a variety in their menu and have good combos too. Pocket wise its definitely not friendly as I thought prices are on a little higher side. But, if you are searching for some good Korean food then definitely Gung The Palace is the place for you to try.
A Korean restaurant by heart and nature. The ambience is a lovely change from the regular go-to cafe's and breweries surrounding sector 29. This isn't for everyone. It's different and subtle and personally I feel you develop a taste for this cuisine over a period of time.
My daughter is a fan of Korean Dramas so she wanted to try Korean food. And we were happy to be here. If you too are looking for some authentic Korean food, then this is the place. You will get a wholesome experience of Korean cuisine. The ambience and décor is calm and zen like with flowers and stone lanterns. There are personal cabins where you can enjoy quality time with family or close friends. The floor seating is just like in Japanese restaurants.
We decided to order some familiar dishes Prawn tempura (for my son who is not so adventurous) and veg sushi along with my favourite Bibimbap (steamed rice topped with sauteed vegetables, soya paste and chilli paste) and Samgeyeop sal which is barbequed pork belly. You have the option of doing the barbeque yourself but since we were new to Korean expereince, we asked the waitress to do it. We were pleasantly surprised to see a lot of side dishes though we had not orderd them.It included fresh colourful salads, Korean omlette, potatoes, kimchi, pickles, soups etc. Apparently these are called Banchan and are served along with the main dishes. It was an experience that we enjoyed. However, what I did not like was when we ordered Sprite, they just placed the entire bottle on the table without serving it in the glasses. They also have a small art gallery and a tiny store that sells Indian souveniers to foreigners. I felt the price was on the steeper side but then it is a one of its kind experience.
If you like Korean food this is as authentic as it gets. Everything, the decor, the staff, the food,it's taste will take you to Korea. My favourite is Samgyetang which is a chicken Ginseng soup. Super healthy and super delicious.
The heartiest portions of sushi in town. Very relaxed ambience. If one relishes pork, this is a good idea. Their glass noodles mixed with meat is a must try along with crispy prawns in sweet sauce.
Today I went to Gung The Palace in sec 29 Gurgaon.
I had Osam Bulgogi,Wang Galbi along with Makkoli. The taste of the food was mind blowing.very nicely they serve the food with Korean accompaniments.Good ambiance and traditional music.Enjoyed a good dinner along with my colleagues.Wish to visit again.
After reading so many good reviews about this place, I finally went there. The ambience is comforting and it definitely gives you the feel of a Korean eatery, plus the warmth with which the staff members welcomes you shows what good customer service is all about. I ordered grilled fish and stir fried glass noodles. Both were good .Although the price of the food is a bit more in comparison to the other places in sector 29, however the portion of the food is enough to feed 3 people.Good experience overall.

As soon as you enter this cute korean restaurant the warm welcome by the staff and zen like interiors will surely impress you.
Superb ambience, the personal cabins with attendant call button are mind blowing. The food is authentic, service is excellent. If you love experimenting with your food, this place will not disappoint you.
It took some time to get used to the metal chopsticks but it was a fun experience.
A word of caution though , they have a branch in Green Park (New Delhi), though the menu is the same but the ambience is not as good. Recommend the gurgaon branch.
Have been here many times and my favourite dishes were So Galbi(marinated beef ribs) and Ojingo Bokkum (Spicy Squids).
Definitely the best Korean joint in Delhi NCR.
Ps: do try the excellent Soju Wine.
One of my favourite places in Delhi NCR. I take to Korean food like a fish to water. What's there not to like?
Meat- Check
Flavours- check
Healthy- check (mostly grilled, barbecued, stewed or stir fried)
Spice- check
Okay the last one isn't really required for a gastronomic experience but even if you crave for it (like most of us do) you won't find it lacking here.
First my absolute favourites-
1. Prime marinated barbecued tenderloin:
Of all the dishes I have sampled here, the very best. Wonderfully flavoured, well done meat. Perhaps you can get them medium-rare too but flavours really ooze out of the well done meat, so I prefer that
2. Prime marinated barbecued pork: same as above, very very good but not quite the buff.
3. Spicy stir fried octopus (with or without rice): this one's spicy so it lends a balance if it is had after the barbecue options
4. Same as Above with squids: for the play-safe blokes
There are vegetarian options too, I especially love their bean curd.
All this washed down with sake or rice beer (if you're lucky).
Wait, did I forget the complimentary appetizer spread? Pictures attached and in the Delhi outlet review.
I believe the owners here have a strong philosophy and confidence on their food. No cheatings on their food and always feel their huge efforts on everything provided. You should never regret to come this fantastic venue.
Making food an experience!
There is something about places that not just give you food originating from a certain part of the world, but actually give you a glimpse into their culture and the entire experience of a meal. Gung the Palace gives that experience - when in Korea, do as the Koreans! You feel special, you feel you have learnt something new, and of course, your taste buds go to a place they probably have never been before!
It really doesnt matter what you order, everything is just so different and so delicious, that you feel excited and privileged to be getting this experience in your life! Please do complement your food order with some Soju wine.
Would love to go here again just to relive the experience!
i love going to this place for the overall experience it offers.. it's a very pretty korean restaurant and you feel like you have travelled to another world as soon as you step inside the restaurant.. the clinging of utensils is music to ears, soothing oriental tunes playing in the background and the fragrance of warm jasmine tea blends perfectly.. although i have found the place to be fairly occupied on every visit, i have managed to get a private room every time - which is floor seating style..
this is probably the best place for easy conversations and a laid back lunch.. the meal starts with a serving of 7-8 condiments like kimchi, egg, potato/ chicken salads, pancake.. the food menu is extensive with all kind of seafood.. must try their grilled dishes which are semi-prepared on a grill in front of you.. would also recommend their set menu lunch for a quick meal and small group..
Gung the place we have visited for the first time.. The place was soo beautiful.. Ambience was also good..it was quite expensive place but i found it classy..
We ordered for lunch box.. There we have combo of many dishes..all of them was good.. All Dishes have chinese touch.. Veggie dishes are...
CHARCOAL SPICY PORK BARBECUE
MARINATED CHICKEN WITH GLASS NOODLE & VEGETABLES
A family of four goes out to try Korean food for the first fime in their lives at this renowned restaurant. Consider us ignorant but we didn't care to ask anyone about the food there. We only knew that Gung The Palace is supposed to be visited soon and it's a restaurant considered to be worth dining at.
The two dishes were more than enough for four of us. We were served pickles and kimchi and different vegetables cooked in a way to give a piquant taste.
Both the main dishes were simply good. Sweet. As the food isn't spicy, one would like to try the main dish with the pickle of his choice.
The Marinated Chicken dish was served with an oven to keep it warm.
The Pork was uber-delectable.
The restaurant has rooms for groups. This idea is an enticing one.
Food - 4/5
Service - 4.5/5
Ambience - 4/5
Location - 4.5/5
Seating and decor - 4.5/5
Food is amazing , service is good price will burn a hole in the pocket but to try the authentic korean food i dont mind the price....kimchi is really good and so is the casseroles...
This place is just wow!! Insane level of food quality from start to end. Giving it a .5 less only cuz they didnt help us with how we were suppose to go about eating the whole thing, Cuz thr were just too many things, way too many things. The pic could not capture the whole table. We had the pork belly. The tendorloin. Some more pork. A spicy tendorloin soup which was wow. And the amount of condiments / the variety was wow. 5 points otherwise. The barley water which they serve sud be sold as super premium bottled water.
4 grands for 2 beyond satiesfied boys. Not at all bad !! These guys sud be the envy of every five star set up.
Gung meaning 'The Palace' in korea is as authentic as it can get...be it with it's ambience, decor, zen like sitting, private cubicles, stewardesses & of course the choice on the menu !!! A must try if you are those adventurous types , open to experimenting new cuisines. An array of starters are served with most of the main course dishes rounded off by a palate of fruits, cold cinnamon tea, cold/hot lemon tea or korean coffee (can vouch for all of them). We had ordered sea food casserole & rice with assorted vegetables in stone pot...both on recommendation of chef . Sea food casserole was a hot pot comprising of shrimps, squid, octopus, prawns, crab, lobster, mussels....a gastronomical delight for sea food lovers !!!
Do order their Red Bean Frappe...a very different kind of dessert that gradually grows on you .
Pleasantly surprised at the awesome food! Beyond my expectations for a Korean restaurant. Had heard about it but ventured only today. Definitely on my favourite list. Loved the lamb and pork bar be que along with the Bibimbap!!
If you're looking for authentic Korean food, look no further than Gung the Palace. Great ambience, warm and friendly service and most importantly some amazing food. I have been here twice, once with my family, once with business associates. On both occasions I left promising myself that I will return. The food is authentic so if you're looking for Indian influences you'll be disappointed. However, I found it delicious. If possible don't forget to request them for coffee after you finish your meal. It is awesome!
