Having lived in Bangalore for 3 years and being from the Goa the konkan cuisine simply agrees with me. Having passed Coastal Reef several times during my time in Gurgaon, I found myself here for dinner and all I had on my mind was fish.
If you go to a Konkan restaurant and not try the sea food then it is an act bordering on crime.
So let's get to it.
Coastal Reef is a nice suave restaurant located in Baani Square and the place has a nice decor and feel to it.
We started off with a Seafood Sampler which is combination of seafood and I was just mesmerized.
Prawns, Crab, Fried Fish and Squids. Yum, yum and yummm. Okay beware south Indian coastal food is suppose to be super spicy even by our standards so if your not one who likes things spicy let the staff know they will cater to your needs. That means that the food will still be spicy or else it wouldn't be authentic konkan cuisine but yes, they will take it down a notch like they did, for patrons like myself.
For mains we had the following.

Malabar Mutton Curry
Malabar Fish Curry is Basa fish cooked in delightful yellow paste and it is just the best accompaniment with the appams that we had it with. You can also try the Malabar paranthas.
The Malabar Mutton Curry was amazing with the delicious mutton just falling off the bone and aroma just mesmerizing.
The star of the night was the Chicken Stew. This was by far the best Chicken Stew I've had in a very very long time. Not spicy and with a balanced flavour just blew my mind away. Amazing with the appams.
Dessert was
Semiya Payasam
Kesari
Semiya Payasam was Vermicelli roasted with ghee cooked in cows milk. Recommended.
Kesari was good if you really have a sweet tooth.
Looking for South Indian food and I mean food and not just Dosas and Idlis then try Coastal Reef. Just amazing flavours and great ambiance.

Thoroughly enjoyed the food. After shifting to the north, I have often been let down by so called 'South Indian Restaurants'. This place is as authentic as it can get. I will definitely go back and highly recommend. Its a no frill place. Decent ambience. Food just takes all the attention, as it should :)

The tastes of South India can be seen in it's food. The biriyani was top class South Indian and so was the C65. Ambiance and the host were great too.

Best South Indian food anywhere. Ghee roast chicken was the pick of dishes. Had Appan for the first time - truly amazing.
Amazing flavours of south India...was not expecting such precision with taste in Gurgaon.

We had ordered chicken 65, guntur chillimushroom, prawn chettinad curry, veg stew and appam. Chicken and mushroom starter as well as prawn curry were very tasty and we'll cooked. Veg stew and appam are average, can be better. Overall we had a great experience and will definitely order sometime again.
Parotha was yummy so tasy chicken chettinad was also yummy only spicy level is high overall gud packaging and fast delivery
The food is awesome. The place to sit and eat is limited to max 10 people. But the quality and taste of the food are awesome. As the name stands out, the selection in seafood is the good and excellent chef. Best place to visit with small group / better to order online and get delivered at home.

Experienced this restaurant through delivery. The chicken ghee roast was spicy. Egg roast was good. The Malabar parotta was great. Overall, price wise it was a good experience. The delivery took 1:15 hours though.
I wasn't much familiar with sea food except the fact I knew was it should be less of a bone so I called the outlet as they were very helping in choosing over my type dish, aka less bone fish. It was really Delicious. Taste and quantity n all was good. Quarantine is full of surprises undoubtedly. Fishaddict now!
Sea food at its best. Their content over the prices they've tagged is sort of impressive over the quality which they serve. Quality I mean Taste. Rich gravy full of flavors is very rare indeed.Chicken 65 & mutton sukkha were also really good. An appreciation for fast delivery undoubtedly. Seafood never felt so good.
The place is small and dimly lit, but if you're a lover of South Indian food, this is definitely worth a try and you'll definitely have a different experience unlike that of a regular butter chicken and naan

I ordered chicken ghee roast, chicken 65 from Coastal Reef. And I must say the taste of the food was too good. The chicken ghee roast was well roasted. It was tangy and spicy and the aroma of the desi ghee and curry leaves was too satisfying. Chicken 65 was well blended with the sauces and spices used in it. Also, I got delivery on time. The packaging was done perfectly. Overall great experience.
I oftenly have food from here, it is a place with affordable prices.
I ordered regular traditional dosa, i love having dosa from here.
I was amazed to se bee the packaging as well as dosa, when it arrived it was fresh and hot it was so big and crispy. The stuffing was yummy. They also served sambhar and three chutney along with it.
It was so big me and my brother both had it and we were so full.
It was superb we truly loved it.

Coastal Reef is one of my favourite restraunts. I loved the south indian food of this testraunt. They provide good packaging and great quantity. The fried chilly idli wass really delicious. The combination of fried idli and chilly was really good. The mushroom 65 has also a great taste. I highly recommend this restraunt.

Coastal Reef in Gurgaon now delivers delicious food in the region. I too had ordered some as I often go there to dine but its not possible now. The delivery was done before time. Proper packaging was done to prevent from spillage and spoilage.
The dishes were Chicken Ghee Roast, Prawn 65, Paneer Chettinadu, Chicken Vindaalu, Chicken Appam, Madurai Chicken Biryani.
The dishes were delicious. Perfect spices and lipsmacking flavours gives them another level.

Unable to cook as my gas finished. I gave this place a try after seeing the hygiene factors.
Food came is a plate kind of box and as a part of contactless delivery rider left it on the table outside my door.

In Gurgaon I think a very decent and a very good seafood restaurant if you want to have some prawns or some fried fish literally their seafood is too good I had ordered 1x Prawns which were tasty as well value for money the size of the prawns was also big enough and the quantity which was been delivered was also quite good. A good restaurant for having some seafood.

This outlet serves best sea food and South Indian specialized twist and taste.
Had this very famous chilli fried idli which were idli tossed with onions and chilli's.
Then had paneer chilli fry in which the paneer cubes were marinated and deep fried tossed with onion and chilli's .
Then had this very famous Malabar PAROTHA
Which was tooo yummy and delicious.

Both items was just fantastic , quality and quantity was top notch , great value for money
Chicken 65 was finger licking , it was spicy and hot , chicken was soft and fresh
Paneer chilli fry was amazing too , gravy was thick and spicy , overloaded with onion and bell peppers

During this lockdown i wanted to have delicious south India food and i had heard alot about Coastal Reef so recently i decided to order food from here.
I ordered Traditional regular dosa, Semiyan Payasam and Chilli Fried Idli. The fried idli was so delicious, I really loved it. The regular dosa was nice amd crisp, I really loved it and it was very filling. The payasam was lovely, the perfect dessert to end your meal with.
I'm really impressed with their food and will definitely order again from here.

We just discovered some really good food from this outlet. Recently we tried there chicken 65 and tawa fried fish. Truly that was just so yummy totally Delicious so good in flavours totally justifying it taste. Chicken quality was so great and taste were awesome. Fish was also so soft and juicy. This place serves amazingly delicious food, hygienic and high quality. I ordered a chicken 65 which was so damn good, it was spicy and well cooked. I also ordered mutton ghee roast. Its a home style preparation, one one of the most celebrated dishes in Karnataka. It was spicy mutton simmered with pure ghee and curry leaves. The high quality food and the delicious taste made my day. The even deliver the food to my door steps maintaining the social distancing norms. Idly was served with capsicum, onions and green chilli. It was amazingly lip smacking. Paneer 65 was crispy fried fried paneer flavoured with roasted gram masala, curry leaves and black pepper powder. It was a great meal. Ordered chicken 65 and paneer 65 from this amazing place near DLF Galleria. The taste of the chicken 65 was nice and juicy and it was well grilled. The paneer 65 on the other hand was giving an elegant vibe with his unique taste the aroma was very breezing and food was upright.

Thier vest part is They deliver the food on time and they not let the food get soggy or tasteless. I had placed an online order from this place some time ago and honestly they serve very good quality seafood.
It's completely hygienic plus in the very first bite i could tell that it's completely freshly prepared.
I felt the prices were a bit high but it's completely justified infront of the taste and quality.

Ghee roast chicken is a traditional chicken dish from a village named kundapura, near mangalore.
It is spicy and tangy made in pure cow ghee.
I loved there quality served to us and the quantity was very good.

Their non veg are so good and temping... I ordered chicken 65 and mutton sukka... Mutton were perfectly cooked so soft and juicy.
And chicken 65 was so delicious and the quantity was great.

Lately I ordered the very scrumptious and mouthwatering Paneer 65, chicken stew with steam rice and non veg dosa from Coastal Reef.
The food was really well prepared and cooked.
The delivery was quick and the food had an amazing aroma and also the flavours were really good.

1) Chicken chettinadu: The chicken was cooked well. The gravy was thick and spicy. The aroma when I opened the parcel triggered my hunger. The taste was superb too.
2) Malbar paratha: The paratha was soft and perfectly baked. It went well with chicken chettinadu.

Chilli fried idli after a bite flavours just bursts into your mouth so authentic preparation. Paneer chettinadu cooked perfectly paneer chunks in curry just melts in your mouth amazing taste had it with appam best ever dish. The food was excellent and the quality ingredients used to prepare delicious food. Will highly recommend this place.

Planned some lesser-experienced cuisines for dinner, as this lockdown is making me bored. So I ordered tawa fried fish as a starter, Malabar chicken curry as a main course and Malabar parota
Before this I used to had Malabar parota using packed food only. But this one changed the definition entirely. So soft and so amazing. Fish was so killer that it has its own unique taste. The crisp and spicy of fish, it was bang on. Malabar chicken gravy was so smooth and so delicious that made me fan of this cuisine.

The recent order from the Coastal Reef was a great decision for sure. Not all restaurants are taking things seriously but this one surely knows what quality of food to provide, what justified quantity their should be and how to treat their customers. Must try their chicken 65 and chicken chettinadu. Both of them are tasty. Need to say good job done by them.
The Malabar Chicken Curry I tried recently from Coastal Reef was just amazing. This place is heaven for foodies especially for the non vegetarians. Believe me or not the taste was just out of this world. It had a perfect balance of everything in in. The cooks got some real talent here. For sure I’m gonna order from this place.

If you are hunger the coastal reef is the best place to order some delicious food. It is located in DLF phase 4,gurgaon. They serve kerala, Andra, sea food and south indian. Their quality and quantity and also taste of food its really impressed me. I ordered Appam, Mutton sukha and biryani. Every single dish that i ordered was well cooked, beautifully balanced flavours. They have much more varities of dishes and every dish is amazingly elaborate on their menu...

South indian food makes me happiest of all. And this outlet delivered me the best south indian food to taste. I ordered Egg curry, oothapam, and a traditional regular dosa. All the three dishes just touched my soul. The flavours were so good that i cannot even forget it till now. I loved their delivery services and packing too.
The COASTAL REEF is my one and only destination to order carnivore food from. Their menu is so vast and I always get confused what to order. The packaging was also good; no spills were there. The food was delivered on time and was hot. Heavenly taste. A good thumbs up.
Very good sea food !! Definitely a must visit if you are craving for some good south indian sea food .. We went as a group for some munching but had a good meal !! They even listened to us for getting some fish for kids which was totally non spicy and as per our requirements. Loved everything..
I fall in love with this place everytime I visit or order from here.
They have the best chicken ghee roast and parotta. We recently tried the crab soup and the non veg platter. To my surprise the mutton was melt in your mouth awesome - 100% recommend. The crab soup was a bit spicy and not for the faint hearted but still awesssomee.

It's a small and cosy restaurant with Excellent Service and similar level of good food.
Menu is large and has almost every types of southern non veg food, including Fish, Crab, Prawns, Mutton, Chicken and what not.
The restaurant offers Goan, Andhra, Tamil, Malyali cuisine. Right from Chettinad to Vindaloo, Sukka to Ghee Roast, each one has its unique taste.
Service is also fast and attentive. Although being small, it's a full service restaurant including finger bowls.
Menu prices are moderated and justified. Definitely a must visit place.

A decent place for costal non-veg food. We went for dinner and we were not very hungry so ordered rasam with papadum for starters and then Malabari Parotha with Guntur chicken.
The service was fast and the food was tasty. I would like to go there and try their other dishes.

If you're looking for authentic south Indian flavours this is the place to come. I have been here a couple of times and tried different things in each visit and I have to say that the thing that stands out is the food. Every item on the menu be it the Chicken Chettinad or the Kozhi Malli Saaru (Chicken Soup) or the Stew or the Paruppu Vada or anything really has its unique flavour and literally smells of authenticity. I can totally imagine that this is (more or less) how the food would taste had I actually had it in a restaurant in south India.
Even within this culinary goodness a few dishes stood out to me; I would highly recommend that patrons try the Kozhi Malli Saaru, appam and Malabar fish curry. Furthermore there is so much on the menu that you can easily visit 4-5 times and never have the same thing twice.
I liked ambience too, it is relaxed and mellow and the the dining area is bathed in yellow light. And to me this is perfect for winding down after a busy working week, makes me slow down and appreciate the finer things :)
Service is an area where I thought things can be improved, but not by much, the staff was prompt in responding to requests and the place is usually not crowded so you get your share of attention. Speed of service is decent as well. I would however expect that the waiters be dressed in shoes instead of sandals/chappals though.
Two can have a decent meal here at around a 100 bucks and the fact that Zomato Gold works here and that makes the deal even more sweet. So in terms of cost too this is an okay place.
All in all I like Coastal Reef for its authentic flavours and pleasing ambience. The food is great and it feels good to sit in for half an hour or so and slow down. I see myself coming in to this place for many times to come.
I am going to make coastal reef rich. Lol! Not kidding! Fantabulous south Indian restaurant. Being a south indian living in gurgaon, i miss home food a lot and many north indians dont even know how exactly south food tastes and they ruin it by selling yucky sambars and dosas. But coastal reef proved me wrong!! It is a hidden gem!!!! If u really wanna know how south food tastes, this is the right place!!!! and the food here felt like home cooked!! And taste was wow!!! Must try: non veg dosa, kothu parotta, chicken stew, malabar parotta, and fish fry.

We ordered chilli fried idli and paneer chilli fry for starters.
Followed by main course: vegetable chettinadu and Nilgiri vegetable korma. Korma I had in Kerala few years ago so was a must South Indian dish for me. chettinadu was recommended by Restro staff.
Do try appam... it’s a kind of break really soft and chewy... Malabar parota and kothu parota were nice too.

Baani square now can truly be termed as a foodies hub with various dining and home delivery options from shakes, pizzas, mughlai, oriental, lebanese, seafood, desserts, a restrobar and Waffle Joints.
This time it was our tastebuds which guided us to this seafood joint Coastal Reef.
We tried the below dishes :
Meen Poluchathu : Fresh and good quality sole fish wrapped in a banana leaf. Tangy flavour.
Mutton Sukka : Soft mutton pieces perfectly spiced with a good taste
Appam : Nicely fermented but a little oily for my preference
Malabar Paratha : Just the way it should be , layered and soft
Malabar Fish Curry : Basa fish which again was fresh and tasted relay well with Appam prepared with a yellow paste
Paneer Dosa : Was a disappointment as it was soggy and sambhar was cold
Chicken stew: This was the showstealer of all. With the taste of curry leaf , mustard seeds and coconut milk, this was the best chicken stew I have had for a long period. Yummy !

To conclude , Coastal reef has silent and relaxing interiors, authentic south Indian taste full of aroma and spices.
Go to place for fantastic South Indian non veg food. Fish Polichattu, chicken chettinad, chicken vindalu, chicken 65, chicken ghee roast, Kothu parantha, appams etc are all very good. Small place but worth the penny.
Good ambience, seafood tastes good. We had tawa fried fish, pomfret and chicken Chettinad.
First time I visited at Coastal Reef to had prawan 65 but while exploring the menu I saw “ Prawn Pollichathhu” and I ordered that. It was served in traditional South Indian style. Dish was wrapped in banana leaf and taste was awesome. As I forget to take picture but you can imagine the taste with my words. It’s tangy taste was something in South Indian style. Loved that !!! One who love South Indian and prawn as well, then you must try this.
