If you are a Japanese food lover, you have to go to Ebisu and you’ll be mesmerised with Ambience, Hospitality and Food.
Authentic and amazing experience....the ambiance was great and the food was delicious. You can experience the warmth of Japanese hospitality.
まだ開店したばかりで、注文してから食事が出てくるまで、時間がかかっていましたね。店員の人も慣れてくるといいですね。食事は美味しかったです。
Whether it be the split curtain entrance which reminds you of a traditional place or the loud greetings of ''Irasshaimase" one can not resist being transported to 'Nihon' (Japan)for a cozy meal.
We Tried- kasane Tonkatsu,Nigiri Sushi Goshu Moriawase, Sake (Sawa No Tsuru), Ebisu Delight (Peach Based)
•• First things first Ebisu has two dedicated menus for 'Lunch' and 'Dinner'.
•• The place is frequented by resident Japanese Salary men.(We were pretty much the only DESI people there!), This speaks volume about the taste. ••The place has two types of seatings available, the first is The general table-chair seating arrangement(opt for it if you want the usual) or a private neo-traditional one, with call buttons(we chose this one obviously!)
••The private place can be used to host large gatherings by simply removing the wooden partitions between the tables.
••The ever-courteous staff makes it a point to cater to all your needs, while you kick back and have a cozy meal. (don't get too consious when they would personally keep your footwears aside for you) ••The place had a DEDICATED SMOKING AREA too!
.
🍣PROS: Food, ambience, staff .
🍣CONS: Expensive alcohol, food priced towards the higher end, absence of washroom.

🍽 7/10
Excellent place for Japanese cuisine. They also have decent veg options. Limited sake options though. Service is very good and the ambience is lovely.
I went there with my family and friends. It was our first visit to this restaurant. The ambience was truly Japanese. The seating gave you the feeling of eating the traditional way. The hosts were all Japanese. The ambience was truly Japanese.
We ordered for vegetarian appetizers - steamed soya and aveg sushi along with salmon and tuna sushi. The food was awesome and filling. The sushi was simply awesome and one could get the taste of having authentic sushi. For the main course we had chicken curry and noodles.
Both were awesome. The visit was on August 11th but we are heading back again this week as there is so.much more to savor. If you like authentic Japanese then you got to be here.
Fantastic experience of authentic Japanese cuisine as well as great service.
Very authentic Japanese place with low seating. We had salmon and some sushis which were great. The vibe is very quite and you see a lot of Japanese crowd which defines the authenticity.
Must visit!
From being challenged about Japanese food to being bowled over by it. Ebisu punches all the right buttons. Just to make it clear I ate Vegetarian and was completely in love with their food. The staff is courteous , prompt and non intrusive. Highly recommended this place.
If someone is in love for japanese cuisine, a must go place. Authentic japanese culture can be seen here while dining. Great food prepared and wines served in japanese way. Hence great for those who enjoys japa food.
This restaurant is known for its near authentic Japanese food, great hospitality, excellent cuisine, great ambiance, perfect guest service and most delicious, fresh, satisfying food
I will rate this 10/5 if possible.. they serve authentic, very tasty Japanese cuisine. You might pay a lot of money for food but very few places will make you feel lost with the very first taste. Thank you for the politeness and hospitality. Their food calmed me down!
I would give it a 10 on 5 rating if I could.
You enter this place and it seems like you've reached another part of the world.
Cute little japanese place that is authentically Japanese in taste and feel.
Been here twice and had an amazing time.
You enjoy your meal while sitting in the original japanese style with floor level tables (see pic!).
Only downside- they do not pack your leftovers!
I hate to waste good and always pack what's left, but here you can't do that.
A must visit place for Japanese food lovers.
The food was delicious. Few places in Gurgaon where you can get sashimi. The ambience is just homely. And the staff are courteous. You are served complimentary Japanese tea(hot or cold) for beverage. The price is to the higher side but trust me it is worth every penny. I recommend you to book a table before you head to the restaurant as it gets crowded in the evening.
This place i must say got real japanese vibes.food is so versatile in itself.food is bit expensive but good things got high price so never mind.personally would recommend it to all.
A fine dining place in a typical Japanese style. Food was great and delicious. Located at a very convenient place and hence easily reachable.
The go to place for authentic Japanese cuisine. The non-veg sushi is good. I tried nigiri and also had veg maki both were quite delicious.
The ambience is typically Japanese with floor seating available along with the non traditional western seating.
Would recommend everyone to give this place a try.
You will not believe what you have found, until you’ve made a trip to this restaurant. EBISU made me want to leave my sushi mid-way and write this review. I was lucky to have gone on a weekday, when there was practically no crowd and thank goodness I did. The cheerful waitstaff, the incredibly authentic Japanese food, and the ambience- they’ve nailed everything. The fish was so fresh, I could have cried. But yes, please don’t be the typical Indian who asks them why there is no spice. The art of Japanese cuisine lies in how much you can take away from the dish to make it delicious; spice additions are Indianised Japanese and you sure as hell don’t want that.
If you're looking for authentic Japanese, this is the place to go! The menu has the traditional Japanese names written with an English translation and description of the dish, which is really helpful.
The food is really different and I've never had anything with such unique flavours. The sushi was extremely flavourful and the quantity was pretty good for the price. Other appetisers had less quantity, each dish being suitable for only two people, but they were AMAZING when it came to taste. The helping for the main course dishes was good. The variety is spectacular. Can't wait to try some more dishes!
The ambience is extremely calm. Simple wooden decor, looks straight out of a Japanese movie. There are regular tables and chairs as well as the typical Japanese floor seating, which is extremely comfortable and is a unique experience.
The staff is actually Japanese, and they are the sweetest people ever! Very helpful. The service was pretty quick too.
I came here for food, but I left with an experience.
Lovely staff and pleasant setup. The best Japanese place I have been to. Apart from a variety of sushi, deep fried prawn curry and rice is a must try.
Excellent sushi and a firefly staff
Nice ambience too. Will definitely be going back. Could do with a wider selection in the drinks menu.
A must visit place on Golf course rd
Had a wonderful evening at Ebisu. The ambience it fantastic, with authentic Japanese seating. The food was fresh, with beautiful subtle flavours and the service was warm and friendly. Highly recommend a visit to Ebisu on your next evening out. The Salmon Nigiri and Ebi dragon rolls were fantastic.
Superb food and service, had a memorable evening with friends earlier this week. The sashimi was fresh and delicious and the ebi sushi was the big hit.
Great ambience, good food and a friendly staff to help around with the cuisine even if you are not much into Japenese cuisine...definitely recommended!
We found about this restaurant through Zomato and it was indeed quite a find. From the moment we entered till we left we felt like we were in some serene place in Japan. Extremely polite and efficient service people, unique decor and oh whatta food. Since we had a baby they went out of their way to make a small cushion bed for our baby.
We started off with salmon sashmi and tempura sushi. For the mains we had the thick sushi and the salmon sushi. Each and every sushi was well made and it was a delight.
Few things which could have been better
1. The soya sauce was extremely salty
2. The cost for 2 as per Zomato is around 1700 Rs.this is misleading as the cost can be anywhere between 2500 to 3000 without alcohol. Would request zomato team to do better dilligence before putting these numbers
We are definitely going back to try the other dishes. What are you waiting for!!😀
This place is very nice with quiet ambience, aesthetically done interior and GREAT authentic japanese food. Though it’s a little expensive but worth it. The staff is very polite and helpful. It was a lovely experience. Thank you.
I have been frequenting this place for the last few months. Highly recommended for authentic Japanese cuisine. The recent addition of skewers (available only for dinner) is fabulous! The preparations are great and it’s value for money. The pork belly and chicken wings skewers are to die for. Have tried tempura at multiple places but theirs is the best in town. In case visiting for lunch the set menu is the way to go!
Lovely Place quite ans comfortable ambience , though they don’t do janapnese ramen but the soba is equally good. Comfortable place , goos quality food. Loads of options .
When I entered this place I thought I had entered a restaurant in Japan because I was the only Indian there. The waiters as well as the other customers were all Japanese. The menu was extensive and very authentic.I tried the nigri sushi moriawase which is a chefs selection of 8 types of sushi. It was accompanied by miso soup.Fabulous food!!!Will definitively visit again!
This is a Great Japanese place .. we enjoyed delightful food for lunch ... we found really tasty nigiri and fresh prawns. People working here were kind and ready to make us happy.!!
Better sushi than many places .. nice ambience complemented with good waiting staff.
Will definitely go back to try out other stuff they offer.
Authentic Japanese place , nice setting with staff totally complimenting the setting and eventually the food was good authentic Japanese
Food only suggestion will be the pork can be more well cooked rest verything was perfect .
NEWLY OPENED JAPANESE RESTAURANT........
EBISU........it is in sector-54,in golf course road.
The ambience and the food was amazing. I loved the variety of sushi's they offer. I am not a Japanese food lover though but EBISU was successful in changing my opinion. I travel a lot so I have had Japanese food before but his was the best till date.
An international chain, considered as one of the best Sushi and Japanese resturant with some real deal Japanese warm environment and comfortable seating, churning out great food.
Well I dived straight into the sushi, which was outstanding not only in taste but the size. For all sushi that I’m used to, always is normal single bite size. These were slightly larger than usual. But super fresh and tasty.
Ordered a Bloody Mary with wasabi, which was quite unique.
The simmered pork belly in soya was just awesome.
Ebisu is the latest Japanese outlet to open up on Golf Course road Gurgaon. The place is very nicely done up in minimalist Japanese decor. We were welcomed inside in traditional Japanese greeting by the pleasant & well trained staff. We were seated in the traditional private dining areas.
The sushi was well mad and portion size was big as compared to other outlets. The wasabi & ginger were fresh & on the spot. The fixed meal with pork was also well made - the flavors were just right. The noodle bowl with prawn tempura was also perfect. All the items were well presented & prepared. The portion sizes were big so we ended up eating more than we planned, with out any complaints as the food was just right.
This is a must visit for Japanese food lovers - i will visit them again to try out more items. Special mention for the courteous staff.
Great food!!
The pork & lamb barbeque dishes are really top notch!!
Service is also excellent...the staff went out of their way to meet our requests....definately worth trying out.
Amazing food! Amazing ambiance.
Really good to hear the chief being the best Japanese sushi chief in Japan 2017, because his food speaks for itself.
Best of luck and congratulations to the entire team.
Will definitely go back and recommend a lot of people.
I recently dined at this Ebisu Japanese restaurant, and I must say, it was an outstanding experience! The ramen and chicken skewers were simply amazing, bursting with delicious flavors. But what truly stole the show was the cheesecake. I'm not usually a fan of cheesecake, but this one was the best I've ever had. It was incredibly smooth and not too sweet – a true game-changer for me.
The service was attentive, and the atmosphere was welcoming. Highly recommended! Cannot wait to be back
Excellent tasting food though the portions are a bit small. On weekends the service is a bit slow. Overall the experience was great.
Went out with the family for a fine dining meal. The sashimi and takoyaki were excellent. The tonkatsu was authentic, but more an acquired taste. The desserts were absolutely fabulous across the board.
The place is absolutely authentic, serving a japanese clientele but also accessible if it's your first time
My only small grip was that the food service was almost too fast, meaning the meal wasn't as paced. Perhaps that's because we ordered everything at the start?
If you love japan and its culture, do visit this epic place in gurugram. It's a hidden gem that not many people know, typical Japanese vibes, everything from Japan, even the natives eat there. The food was awesome, exactly the taste of japanese cuisine, no Indian flavours at all. Had the yakisoba(chicken), curry rice with chicken and chicken tempura. Timely served fresh food. They do offer sake, wine and soft drinks.
Do try the mochi wagashi, it's the best dessert I ever had.
Loved the vibes and waitresses kindness. Do ask for recommendations, they know very well what the person would like.
Great food. There is wait time so book in advance. Quick service I liked their beer. It’s really refreshing. Sitting is bit tight so no room for private conversation.
A simplified menu is always worth it.
Some rice, starters, desserts and a whiskey highball
The highball was a bit sweeter than we expected and the dessert choice was wrong from our side, should have gone for the usual matcha cheesecake!
However,
They helped us get a good table on a busy day and served us hot food.
That is all a customer wants on a cold night!
This place has only gotten better with time! The food is great and very authentic. Best part is that they have food which you can enjoy even if you don’t particularly like Japanese food (Robata grill items)
They also have draft beer!
Book ahead if you want to get a private room to dine in.
100% one of my most favourite places in Gurgaon for a meal
Visited Ebisu last weekend, it’s a cool place. The food was decent, this place is more for meat lovers and less for Vegetarian or Vegan eaters.
If you are around Gurgaon DLF Phase 5, it’s in the building where bikers cafe is! Try it
Absolutely amazing food. We had chicken tempura, corn tempura, tonkatsu curry and mochi ice cream. Quantity was adequate for two people.
Service was prompt and friendly. Ambience was great, seating was a mix of traditional Japanese floor seating and regular seating. However you have to reserve to get the Japanese floor seating.
Our whole family went here to have dinner this March. It was amazing. The price is definitely on the costlier side, and the portions have been reduced compared to when we went there last time in October 2021. But the food was amazing. The servers are very polite. The ambiance is comfortable. I love the dim lighting. It’s definitely a family restaurant if you want to go there with kids. Their fish menu is extensive as well.
