An ice cream, with natural flavours that reach your tongue, without any impurities 💕
i really love south Indian cuisine & i m keen about exploring restaurants serving authentic south Indian meals, Carnatic cafe was in my list since long . I went there for a casual meeting after work with a friend, the menu is quite simple and includes the description of their special dosas served so its easy for you to order. We ordered Rasam with papad, Rava onion masala dosa & Bombat dosa out of everything we ordered Bombat Dosa tops the list. It is a thick layer dosa, really crisp from outside & it has a filling of cinnamon garlic chutney which gives dosa a really different flavor and i didn't had anything like that before so i really loved it. Rasam was piping hot & flavorsome, papad was crisp & tasted nice with rasam. Rava onion masala dosa was also crisp & had a good crunch but nothing extraordinary in taste its served with 3 types of chutneys i loved all of the three. Ambiance of the place is quite descent & is good for work meetings or casual family outings. Would like to visit again to try the other things on menu !
Ghee Roast Gunpowder dosa is amazing, I can have it every day. Pairs well with an extra tangy, well spicy rasam. And there’s their crazy ice cream for desert!! Well rounded and happy experience
Want to try one of best south Indian cuisines in Gurgaon then @carnaticcafeindia is the place for you. You can surely feel the rawness in the place either it's an ambiance or spices or flavors, & having a freshly made ice cream in a coconut shell is like a cherry on the top.@carnaticcafeindia, 32milestone sector15 part2 ,Gurugram
I have unconditional love for uddina vade and gatti chutney. 🥺❤️
It is crispy, golden brown on the outside and soft/spongy on the inside. They taste the best when served with fresh coconut chutney or hot sambar. 😋 (I prefer gatti chutney anyday 🙈)
This place is excellent with delicious south indian dishes which is prepared with absolute perfection which makes you want to order more and more.
The dosas at this place are amazing 😍
I loved their Malleswaram 18th Cross Dosa, it was amazing ❤️
Unlike the usual dosas, this dosa is very thick & super crispy 💕
It doesn't have a filling, but it is layered yummy masala & lots of butter😍
Other dishes are really good too & the ambience is very rustic & makes food even more special.
The only thing I didn't like was they use plastic cutlery :|
I have been here quite a few times and my fixed favourite menu has Mysore dosa and Majige ( this is spiced buttermilk). Their dosas are really crisp and oozing in the mouth.
They tricolour chutney are over the top for the taste buds for every South Indian cuisine lover. They also have really cute way of serving ice cream in coconut shells.
The place is overly crowded with long waiting on weekend evenings.
The food is amazing, people are amazing and we absolutely love this place!
Im so happy that carnatic is delivering in gurgaon i ordered my fav idli yesterday though i miss the restaurant atmosphere but it was worth it
Before covid19 hit, I went for a breakfast here. Versions of dosas are so interesting and unique. Must try
*not giving detailed ratings until this stupid covid19 gets over !
Carnatic Cafe is one of the most sought out places for dining if south indian cuisine is on your mind.
I have been here quite a number of times and have always appreciated the quality of food they deliver. The beautiful paintings lend an aesthetic feel to the vintage decor. They offer a unique variety of dosas and some of them are just too amazing. For instance, Bombat and Malleswaram 18th Cross are absolutely delicious.
Just make sure you plan enough time before visiting this cafe since it's fully occupied on weekends and there could be times when you'll find a huge queue outside and service would be eventually slow.
I visited this restaurant on 2nd February. It is located in 32nd avenue. The location of this place is excellent and very lively. I heard a lot about this place when I went and it was all true.
We were 5 of us who went for lunch. The first dish we ordered was rasam papad. The rasam was delicious and piping hot. The papad was also crisp and totally complemented with the rasam. There were tomatoes added in the rasam which tasted like jelly. This was the most delightful part of the dish. One of my friends who dislikes tomatoes also loved the style of cooking used for the tomatoes put in the rasam. Next, we ordered idli. It was accompanied by sambar and three different types of chutney. It comprised of the basic coconut chutney, tomato chutney and green chilli chutney. I liked the green chilli chutney the best. The sambar was also piping hot and took us to South India. It gave us the typical feel of the local South Indian sambar. The idli was also heart wining. It was super soft and imparted the feeling of melt in mouth. Next we ordered bombat dosa, paper plain dosa, Mysore dosa and masala dosa. This was also accompanied by the same three types of chutney and sambar. All the dosas were amazing but the best was the bombat dosa. It had a garlic flavour and was on a spicier side. When the dosa was served it looked very small but as I finished it I was like very full. In other words, the dosa was very heavy but it was mouth-watering, delicious, heavenly and full of flavour. The other three dosas was also on point. It was also aprritive and appetizing. For dessert we ordered chilli mango ice-cream and coconut ice-cream. Talking about desserts, they provided with homemade ice-cream and all the flavours had a twist to it. We got to taste two ice-creams for free. The mango chilli ice cream comprised of mango with red chilli powder. It totally went well with each other. It had flavours which we never tasted before. Lastly, we ordered cutting chai which was also heavenly for the chai lovers. Overall, the food was finger-licking, divine and full of flavour.
Coming to service. The service was also good and the staff was also quite attentive. The only thing I found that there service speed was a little slow and they need to work on that.
The ambience could be better. There was nothing very extraordinary about the ambience. It was plain and simple with just tables and chairs to sit on.
I would like to conclude by saying that the food was mouth-watering, delicious, tempting, succelent and most importantly it was heart - winning. Getting such good and luscious south indian food in north India was something worth spending for. The location of the restaurant is beautiful but the restaurant has to.work on the ambience. Also, the speed of the service needs to be improved. It is worth a visit.
Yum sambar and crispy piping hot uthapam.
Nice place to taste dosa & uthapam.
My favourite is ghee roast dosa.
Filter coffee is very authentic.
My go to place for South Indian food.
I visited this for team lunch with my office people. I must say Carnatic cafe serves the best dosa ever. The dosa is very spongy something you've never had before. It worth the visit. ♥️
Went there one afternoon with office colleagues. Had heard a lot about this place and glad to say, I wasn't disappointed. We ordered Paddu for starters, followed by Mysore Masala Dosa, Rava Masala Dosa and Bombat, alongwith Buttermilk. The service was prompt and the staff was quick in serving us extra chutney and sambhar whenever requested. The cost vs portion size was perfect.
We were truly satiated after our lunch here. Must try place if you love South Indian food.
They serve amazing food, I love almost everything on their menu, my current favorite is the Bombat Dosa (really good, specially when one is really hungry for a thick massive dosa), I have visited here with family and friends and totally love the place for great food and friendly ambience. Keep up the good work guys!
Malleswaram 18th cross is a delight !!! Been there N no. Of times and will visit another N no. Of times.
The atmosphere and ambience will take you on an authentic journey to Southern India. Serive is quick enough despite being almost full in capacity.
Great delights to look out for :-
Thatte Idli , Ghee roast dosa,Onion chilli tomato uttappam
The lime soda and iced tea is great relief on a sunny afternoon.
Best dosas in NCR so far !
Good and economical south indian place. The service is fast and the food is also tasty. Do try the rava masala dosa also.
This is the first time I had such an amazing dosa! I have had visited many south Indian restaurants but nothing like carnatic cafe
Good restaurant but they said the rava dosa
has no onions but it had the crowd was quite good but other than rava dosa everything was great
The most authentic South Indian restaurant in Delhi NCR!
Expect at least 30 minutes waiting on weekends and public holidays.
No prior table bookings! First come, first serve!👍
Quick service, courteous and polite staff!
Recommendations -
1. Malleshwaram 18 cross dosa - Loved it!
2. Bombat Dosa
The portions are good and one dosa will satiate two people with normal appetite.
Loved the place, definitely going back!
Wow what a joint for fresh hot South Indian food. We went for lunch and got a table swiftly. The staff was very courteous and helped us in choosing dishes. We orders few dosa, dahi vadsa and podu... The food was served hot and wait time was ten minutes. The dosa's were crispy and yummy. The chutneys were good and were well accompanying the food. The sambhar was well done and tasted good. Post lunch we ordered filter coffee which was amazing. Must try joint for all food lovers.
One of the best places in Gurgaon for authentic South Indian food. Ambience is very good, almost crowded everytime. Food is good. Quick service and courteous staff. Rasam tastes very good. Uttapam is very fresh and fluffy.Onion masala dosa is a must try there.
32nd avenue is an amazing place to hang out, loved the vibe and cafe’s there.
Carnatic cafe is an authentic south Indian place, visited the place twice and it’s always crowded so please make youe reservations accordingly.
We ordered Bisi- bele- bath (an authentic south indian dish made with lentils and vegetables), I liked it.
We also ordered Rava idli and Ghee roast dosa.
Everything we ate was a delight.
Awesome south indian food with great ambience.
You need to specifically ask them to reduce oil/butter/ghee in any dosa you order. Otherwise it becomes soo heavy to have.
Filter coffee is must have after such heavy meals.
Malleshwaram dosa is my favourite!
I usually don't write reviews but the dosa that they were serving were so heavenly that I couldn't resist writing the review praising their service.
The food was out of the world. Ambience was pleasing. Service could be better.
The dosas were heavy and buttery yet flavourful. However despite a decent appetite it was a fight to finish 1 dosa. Service was OK, though I had to ask for extra chutney 4 times before I got it. Not sure why. Go with an empty stomach to enjoy thoroughly.
Best dosas in world. These special dosas are soo good.
One of the best south Indian i can have is here at carnatic... From Rasam till the sweets everything is very tasty and hygienic... Will surely enjoy the food here
This place is anmazing. My officemates and I have generally made it a point of going here at least once every fortnight if not every week. The dahi vada is awesome. Vadas are crispy and super soft. All the dosas, be it special or regular are superb and I can never have enough of them. Went there last on 22nd, and tried upma for the first time. It was very good. They use generous amount of ghee and butter in there preparations which makes the dishes heavy yet wonderful. Only there sambhar disappoints to some extent. Rest everything is good. Kudos to the great work put up by the team.
Amazing south indian ✌🏻 i go there regularly!! Best south india food!
Had this amazing crispy thick dosa with thick layer of masala, roasted in white butter.
Not really the mainstream south indian (leaves you too full) , but leaves you wanting more. This one was one of my comfort food after a long day. Courteous staff, good coffee and a pleasant vibe :)
I think it is a proper south indian restaurant in delhi and Gurgaon. The Ambience reflected the culture of Karnataka. Service wasn't of that level but it was ok ok. We ordered three dosas Malleshwaram, manina maga and a neer dosa. The dosa was so good. Specially that Malleshwaram dosa it was so yummm.. it was crispy from outer layer and soft from inside. And the taste of masala spread inside was amazing. Then manina maga dosa,it was a soft type of dosa and spread was made of with maysure masala with peanuts. Neer dosa was also good. Dal sambhar wasn't of Karnataka style it was taste like Mysore sambhar. Instead of this dosa was so good. I suggest to everyone if you are a dosa lover then must visit this place.
Doors take you to a different world. As if you have travelled all the way to a local cafe in Bangalore. Food, ambience and decor authentic and delicious like their Sambhar.
Ghee roast masala dosa was crisp and so fulfilling that couldn't order all that extra I had planned for.. Next time then.
Also ending with filter coffee is a must!
Our second visit, was on a weekend so 30 min waiting seemed mandatory. We tried Upma, followed by Benne Khali dosa which had a unique flavour and texture, yummy to the point. We had to pause, to admit to ourselves, it was so good.
PS:
We wanted to have Chitra Anna rice, but only rice of the day is available. Which was a bummer.
A crispier dosa, I do not think exists. The ghee roast. Still crispy after it sits at the table for minutes.
The mango chilli sorbet is the perfect finish after that heavy dosa.
The chutneys disappoint though. The servers confused.
What a lovely place and there food is also awesome with some their add on originality. Staff is very attentive and time to time they ask for your comfort. I found price affordable. I am giving it 4 star because if you are looking for authentic South Indian food then you should look somewhere else.
It's one of the very few places in Gurgaon where you'll get to eat amazing Mysore dosa and dahi bada. Must try their filter coffee. It's pretty pocket friendly and an absolute for team lunch!!
Carnatic cafe is the perfect place to try delicious south indian food😁
Each dish that they serve is full of flavours and has a unique element to it.
I have been a regular here since they opened their first branch in NFC New Delhi, which has now been shifted to Lodhi Road.
At the time it opened, it was one of the rare places in Delhi which had a rating of 4.9 on Zomato😵
My recommendations are:
1. Bombat dosa
2. Maleswaram dosa
3. Idli Sambar
4. Tomato onion chilli uttapam
5. Set dosa
Amazing food quality with pocket friendly prices makes this place a no brainer for south indian food lovers🤩
This place is a must visit for south Indian food lovers. The place is both pocket friendly and has a wide range of options.
Must haves: Neer Dosa, Raagi Masala and Filter Coffee
The Dessert is something that I would recommend like a one time thing as its served in coconut.
One of the finest dining places for south indian cuisine in Gurgaon.
The food was good. I definitely recommend you to try the special dosas instead of the regular ones.
They are unique and very flavourful.
We ordered the Bombat Dosa, Manina Maga Dosa, Butter Masala Dosa, Rava Dosa and Vada. We also tried their Homemade Coconut Icecream.
The vadas were nice and crispy.
BEST DISH - Bombat Dosa
Ambience: 4/5
Service: 5/5
Food: 4/5
Simple and Delicious...this is one of my favourite place for Dosa’s.
All type of dosa’s has its own uniqueness
This is an amazing place to eat south indian. Especially dosas are particularly amazing when it comes to their dosas their 35th street dosa is something to swear by also their paddus were soft and delicious each of which were served with three chutneys and sambar. Last not the least they have great beverages accompany the food like south indian filter coffee and rasam.
Dosas are mouthwatering leaving you craving for more.
I think i have never had a more perfect place to eat South Indian food (apart from actually eating in southern states). The staff is courteous and the decor is made out in such a way that it gives you the feel of sitting in an actual southern restaurants. A bit overpriced but the premium location justifies the price.
Too buttery but thats how i like it.
A perfect place if you want to go out with your family. They serve delicious food. Bombat dosa and Malleshwaram 18th Cross are my recommendations.
Best south Indian food in Gurgaon.
So meeting Mun Patir is a tradition whenever we visit Delhi. And also exploring new places in and around. So we dropped in here for a light lunch. We had:
Majjige: That's actually spicy buttermilk. It was light and flavorful.
Ghee Roast Masala Dosa: This is the best dosa I had in my life. It was flawless. Every item served was made perfectly. I can never forget how tasty it was.
Tender Coconut Icecream: The icecreams are homemade and churned beautifully to give a really creamy texture.
Overall I loved the place. The ambiance was simple and the food amazing. The staff was courteous. It is a must visit place to try out South Indian delicacies.
Best start to our new year! Super delicious meals. We ordered filter coffee, puddu, rice idli, Vada, onion uttapam, Malleswaram dosa.
I personally loved every item but felt that dosa could've been better. Ended it with raw coconut and roasted almond & Belgian Dark chocolate ice cream which was amazingly served in a coconut shell.
Embark on a sensory odyssey as you immerse yourself in the captivating tapestry of true South Indian flavors at this extraordinary haven. The place exudes an irresistible charm, creating an ambiance that effortlessly transports you to the quaint cafés nestled in the heart of South India.
Our culinary sojourn began with the 18th Malleswaram Dosa, a culinary masterpiece that unfolded like a symphony of taste. With each delicate bite, it felt as if my palate was traversing through a kaleidoscope of dosa experiences, culminating in an exquisite blend of love, generously infused with ghee and the aromatic podi powder. It's not just a dish; it's a love affair that takes you on an enchanting journey with every delectable morsel.
As we indulged in the gastronomic wonders, my daughter was enamored by the creamy ice cream served in a genuine coconut shell. The juxtaposition of flavors, the velvety texture, and the delightful presentation elevated the dessert to an art form. It's a sweet symphony that resonates with joy.
Concluding our epicurean expedition with Kesari Bhaat, the simplicity of this dish belies its profound authenticity. Every spoonful is a celebration of tradition, a nod to the roots of South Indian cuisine. The flavors linger on the palate, leaving behind a lasting impression of culinary excellence.
In this culinary haven, every dish is a chapter, and each visit is a chance to script your gastronomic adventure. Come, savor the magic, and let your taste buds dance to the rhythm of South India's culinary symphony. It's not just a meal; it's an experience waiting to be cherished.
One of the best South Indian food restaurants in gurgaon. A must visit. There is always a long waiting queue. You need to wait for at least 15-20 minutes, but the wait is worth the food and quality you get. The ambience of the place is awesome and the 32 avenue ambience makes it a wholesome experience. The staff is very polite and helpful. Food here is made in ghee and has some very special and awesome authentic dishes. We liked neer dosa and paddu. They were just pure and well prepared.
This place captures the true essence of South Indian food. Dosa, uttapam, appam, vada, filter coffee, everything we ordered was beyond delicious 🫶🏻 Ate till my heart's content and had an amazing time here. 100% recommend this place for your next South Indian food craving. The only downside of their food being delicious is that you'll have to wait to get a table most of the time. Rest assured, the food will make that wait worthy.
Great Food, Long Wait
Wrat a review for me of a South Indian restaurant called carnatic cafe in 32nd mile stone. Very good food. Love their Mysore dosa. Their mahabaleshwaram dosa. Thathai idli. Good service. Good location. What I don't like is there is always waiting outside the restaurant and the way to manage the crowd is quite bad. It's unorganised and stressful.
I recently dined at Carnatic Cafe located at 32nd Milestone, and overall, it was a delightful experience. The food was exceptional, with their Mysore dosa and Mahabaleshwaram dosa being definite highlights. I also enjoyed their Thathai idli, which was a unique and delicious treat. The restaurant's service was prompt and attentive, adding to the positive dining experience.
One drawback, however, was the constant waiting outside the restaurant. The management's approach to handling the crowd seemed unorganized and created a somewhat stressful atmosphere. Despite this, the excellent food and convenient location make Carnatic Cafe a worthwhile choice for South Indian cuisine enthusiasts.
✨Carnatic Cafe is a completely South Indian Delicacy resturant. They are specialised in Various Varieties of Tasty Dosa, Idlis, uttapam etc.
✨I recently visited Carnatic Cafe at 32 milestone and had a fantastic experience. The restaurant is conveniently located in Gurgaon 32nd milestone mezzanine floor and offers a great selection of authentic South Indian dishes. The ambiance is pleasant and comfortable, and the staff members are friendly and attentive.
✨I tried the dosas and uttapam , which were freshly prepared and tasted delicious. The dosa was also flavorful, fluffy and crispy on the outside. I appreciated the use of authentic ingredients and spices in the three chutneys, which added to the overall appeal.
✨The menu at Carnatic Cafe is a harmonious symphony of traditional South Indian dishes. The dosas were delightfully crisp, while the uttapam were soft and fluffy, just as they should be. The sambar had a rich depth of flavor, and the coconut chutney was a refreshing complement to the dishes. The staff at Carnatic Cafe were friendly but not so much attentive to the order , providing helpful suggestions and ensuring a comfortable dining experience. Overall, Carnatic Cafe is a heaven for those seeking an authentic taste of South Indian cuisine.
✨We had Malleshwaram Dosa which is their signature dish(fluffy from inside and crispy from outside with gun powder and peanut paste) Manina Maga Dosa was nice too which had peanut chutney paste and was open flat dosa and last was Mysore Masala Dosa which had garlic flavour.
❤️Highly recommended place. Must go for it💯❤️
✨With impeccable service, great ambience, warm and comfortable interiors, a welcoming environment and a scrumptious menu, we recommend you to try them out soon.

Have also tried the Carnatic Cafe at Lodhi Road and Noida - they had an authentic Carnatic Taste.
But I was a little disappointed with the service quality and the taste in this particular Carnatic Cafe. Overall ok, but not as good as the Lodhi Road one.
Their signature Dosas are very good and the peanut chutney was definitely the icing on the cake.
Service can be improved. Even after waiting for 40 minutes, we expect some decency from the servers.
The server snatched the menu from my hand while I was reading it to order desserts.
Had to wait about 1 ½ hours for a table.
But it was worth it.
The treat was amazing, those crisp dosas on outside yet fluffy on inside. Too good to explain. "18th cross maheshwari" is a must try dosa.
Make sure you reach early or you won't get any table, they don't take reservations so be early or go somewhere else in 32 nd milestone.
The Malleshwaram 18th Cross Dosa is a must have and worth the wait of 30 mins or more which you will find here to get a table, especially during weekends. They need to change the table tops and glasses for water as they do not match with the vibes of the place. The food is very good ! The chutney's are full of flavour and each dosa has a very unique and distinct taste. Has the potential to be one of your go to places for South Indian food. The ice cream can be avoided though its nothing special.
No doubt, Carnatic cafe serves great food. We visited them on the weekend and there was a huge waiting. We waited for 45 minutes. I would suggest to make reservations in advance.
We had Rava Masala Dosa, Tomato Onion Chilly Uthapam (Must try), Fresh Lime Soda, Butermilk and Roasted almond & raw coconut sugar Ice Cream. The food was delicious. The service was not so prompt.
Overall: 8.5/10
Food: 9/10 (Onion Rawa Masala Dosa ✅)
Service: 8/10
Carnatic Cafe at Gurugram's 32nd Avenue is a go-to spot for an authentic South Indian feast. The aromatic filter coffee and flavorful dosas are unbeatable (lil oily 😅). Beware, though—the waiting queues during peak hours can be long, so plan your visit strategically to savor the experience without the wait.
A must visit to satisfy your craving for south indian. Their malleshwaram dosa is too good. They also serve nice filter coffee.
Carnatic cafe has great food.
I went here on a weekday for lunch and there was a waiting. I would recommend to make a reservation here before going.
The food is definitely worth it. I had Malleshwaram dosa and Kesari bath. I also had buttermilk.
Everything was absolutely delicious. The service was quick. Do try the filter coffee here.
Food is good. One of the top choices in Gurgaon for South Indian food. I visit here once a week or order and food quality has been consistent. Security at the entrance is a bit rude while providing tables. The main door is difficult to open for ages. Cleanliness can be improved. Another thing I didn't like is I ordered a workshop thatte idli and they gave one piece for 175 plus taxes. Felt this was too pricey for the size given.
We had an incredible experience at Carnatic Cafe in Gurugram. We started with their popular dish, the bombat Dosa, followed by some delightful filter coffee. To top it off, we savored the Raw Coconut Sugar with Roasted Almond, which was simply fantastic. Not only was the food amazing, but it was also budget-friendly. The signature dosa at Carnatic Cafe delivered an authentic taste that left us thoroughly satisfied with our dining experience.
