the place deserves 5 star rating truly. they have taken mughlai cuisine par excellence and maintained consistency through decades. even the continental and Chinese they serve is just unique. dal makhni served here can any day give the iconic dal bukhara a run for money. altough one can order anything here with eyes closed but shahi paneer/ butter chicken, tomato soup and dahi ke sholey are must haves.
it’s a great place for family or friends gathering . You can also celebrate any function /party as they have hall in the basement . The quality of the food is really amazing ....

This place has a rich history and this is the place which introduced me to butter chicken decades ago when I was a child. Their butter chicken is unlike any other, not too much masala and a slightly sweet flavor. I would say it’s a must try. The location is a prime location and you can’t miss it. The staff is the highlight. Very nice people. The food is served quickly and they play nice ghazals in the evening. Do try their sweet lime water as well.

It's been my pleasure being a regular visitor here since my childhood. Especially for - Butter Chicken, Dal Makhni and Bhuna Murgh. Other items in the menu are wonderful as well. Even the Chinese preparation is worth relishing. Post the renovation, the place has improved upon the space. It has kinda old school, ghazal playing ambiance. Price wise, it is a fine dining experience. But definitely a place for gourmet dining.
Wonderful place for dine out, quality and taste of food is awesome..they make good pasta and creamy salad..snacks too are very yummy..I have been there many times in last two years..it's good.
Nice place to visit with family. Regular visitor of this restaurant. Dal makhani and Shahi Paneer are must have dishes. But During rush days I find significant difference in their food quality.

Raj Mahal is always known for good quality and taste of food. And, increased the quality and variety from time to time. But, this time was a bit different not that way. It was all congested, people were standing on our heads for seat. Please be little prepared during peak hours of dining for better results.

It's a old school type peaceful place with no loud noises and crowd. The ambience of the restro was plain n soothing offering u wide variety of tasty food like Punjabi and chinese. I had this Tawa paneer sabji which was damn delicious along with stuffed paratha which again was yummy. My colleagues ordered butter chicken which they loved it. So in all the quality and taste of food was 5 on 5. However the service was very slow and also the washrooms which defines the standard of a place were pathetic. So think before you visit.
Flawless food. The quality and taste remains the same even after 20 years. Am a big fan of their dal makhni and malai kofta. Prompt door step service in case you find going there tough since it is located in old Gurgaon. They personalise with whatever you tell them - extra onions, chillies, no butter on breads, etc. Though food is heavy with lot of cream but I love it.

Been here to this place more than 100 times in past 25 years, but o hardly remember if i have ordered anything other than dal makhni and butter chicken coz when i am at this place i don't want to loose that great a taste to which i am used too for any other dish. There were only few places in gurgaon where nonveg dishes were served 25 years back. And this place is one of those few places. Not sure about other dishes as i have heard or read a lot of negatives for other dishes. But butter chicken and dal makhni are too good.
Our family had been great fan of this restaurant's butter chicken and Dal Makhni. I have been going there since I was a kid. They always play soft light music but they should improve on the service part. Somehow that has been degrading over the years and i don't know what's the reason even when their is not much people!!!
Best Butter Chicken in Gurgaon Since 1990's. Try with bones. Chicken is properly cooked as so soft and right now after writing this review just remembered the taste and it's mouth watering. ♥️

Our family had been great fan of this restaurant's butter chicken. I have been going there since I was a kid. I have never been disappointed wid ne of their delicacies. They always play the sufi sings ( jagjeet singh specially) which keeps the mood light but they shud improve on the service part. Somehow that has been degrading over the years. I had a Snapdeal coupon for 25% off here, which was about to expire on 25th July. I went there on 1st July for an takeaway order of about 1000rs or so. But the people there snobbishly looked at me and refused to accept the coupon saying that their contract with Snapdeal ended a day before !!
I found it a very bad way to receive their guest ! But, poor luck for them. They could've earned 1000-1200 that day, had they not turned me down upfront ;)

Also, one of the loveliest family dining places. The staff is courteous, service quick, and ambiance homely. Very, very warm place. Must visit for lip-smacking Punjabi gravies. You will not be disappointed.

Great Food, good old-school vibes. We ordered Kebabs and Butter chicken, hands down it was one of the best butter chicken in Gurgaon. Along with that we ordered rumali roti and butter naan, both the items were too yum! Highly recommended if you care for great food and good music.
attended a wedding function at this place !! Found it to be ok kind with food not so impressive when it comes to taste, mostly blunt taste.
The services were also just average as they switched off the ac/cooling system at 12.30pm not carrying about the gathering/function.

Food here is very very tasty . Service is also great. Dal Makhani, Manchurian, dahi ke Sholey is very very very tasty. This is the best restaurant in gurgaon but one minus point is that everywhere bisleri water bottle is given on MRP but rajmahal cost it for Rs45.
One of the best restaurants for North Indian food in Old gurgaon. Snacks are quite nice and authentic. Main course can be improved a little bit. Lot of cream used in main course recently.
