Birdie Num Num is a quaint cafe located at the ground floor of the global foyer mall.The place has a very unique and interesting theme,everything revolve around birds. The ambience of this place is very eclectic and the soothing color tone of turquoise blue will make you feel very relaxed. We kicked off our meal with achari pappad which was a light nibbler. We went by the Chef's tasting menu :- 1.Kasundi Scotch Egg :- served inside a beautiful nest. Hard boiled egg coated with yummy meat. 2.Stuffed Snakegourd :- Parwal stuffed with mashed potatoes and served with a tangy black sauce. This dish is a must try for anyone who visits the place and I never thought Snakegourd to be in appetizers. 3. Nehwari aloo dumpling & gunruk salad :- Forgot about cottage cheese and chicken dumplings. Think aloo gravy dumplings. Very scrumptious and cannot be missed. 4. Telangana Chili Chicken :- Telugu cuisine is a cuisine of South India native to the Telugu people from the states of Andhra Pradeshand Telangana. It is also the cuisine of the Telugu-speaking population of Karnataka and Tamil Naduwith slight variations due to local influences. Generally known for its tangy, hot and spicy taste, the cooking is very diverse due to the vast spread of the people and varied topological regions. The dish lived upto it's name and will definitely satiate your hunger cravings. 5. Himalayan Noodle Soup :- Himalayan noodle soup, usually served with meat and is really delicious with lean chicken. It is popular in Tibet, Bhutan, Nepal, and some parts of India."Thuk" means heart so it is a heart warming dish. In Bhutan it would usually be made with buckwheat noodles.The one they serve has all the authentic flavors. 6. Iddiappam Prawn Nest :- Idiyappam is Kerala food mainly served for breakfast, made of rice flour, or you can call it Kerala style noodles, due to its appearance. Fried Iddiappam on it was the perfectly placed prawn(giving it that nest feel) will simply take your breath away. 7. Vegetarian Stew with ghee rice :- the stew was flavored with warm aromatic spices tempered in coconut milk.The tender cooked vegetables in a delicate, spiced, light, aromatic stew with the flavor and taste of the coconut milk. 8.Kohlapuri Mutton with Malabar Prantha :-Kolhapuri is known for its delicious & spicy mutton curries.Kolhapuri Mutton curry made with authentic masala. The curry was sumptuous, fiery and delicious, the meat was tender and succulent..and tasted even more delicious with malabar prantha. 9.Rose Tea Cake :- This one was literally a showstopper(as said by a friend). A very elegant english cake served with foam topped with Rose petals and rose syrup. I don't think I have ever eaten such a luscious and delectable cake before. On the whole dining at this place was a pleasant experience. The place will transport you to a land of birds be it the food or the drinks.The amazing hospitalality added a lot to our wonderful evening.
