Ghee roasted dosa was excellent but lassi has disappointed me.

The ambience is calm and quite.We can have a real good time with our family and friends.The south Indian food had that authentic south Indian flavours in them. I had taken dosa which was amazing especially the chutni which we get with the dosa.
Talkimg about the continent food then the quantity and quality is amazing .I mean the quantity is soo much that one person cannot eat the whole...there had to be a partner .

I visited this place for lunch. Ambiance is cool. Food is really good. We ordered chilli panner as starter which was good.
In main course we have ordered panner makhni, mix veg and butter naan. Since panner is my fav in Sagar Ratna I have visited the place more than 30 times and have always ordered their paneer dosa. Also, their Rava Masala dosa is a must try.

Authentic South Indian taste is their USP and for this reason Sagar Ratna is my favourite destination for South Indian food. Idlis are too soft and spongy and goes best with their Sambhar.

The Sector 29 outlet is on an elevation which you need to reach via a lift. Place is neat but not ornate. Its is pretty functional though. Vadas are crisp, Idlis are soft and other items on menu have a wide selection for you to chose from. Price is slightly higher may be because it is sector 29 !
Staff are courteous and alert. Service at times delayed but more or less ok. Taste is little on the bland/less spicey side may be because of northern preferences ! Over all a good experience. Worth a visit once ! Try out the mini iddlis, Crispy vadas and Rava dosa. Quiet tasty !
Been this place for lunch. Its ohky kind place. Ambiance is cool. Food is good. Not waoo kind. We ordered gobhi Manchurian as starter which is good. In main course we ordered southindia thali and masala dosa. Thali contains poori, plain(steam) rice, puliarham, sambar, rasam, chana dal, curd(which is not fresh at all), papad, aloo sukhi sabji, suji halwa(also not good). Like dosa little. But the staff is very good. The best is meetha pan.

For a lot of us Sagar Ratna is as iconic as a restaurant can get. It's responsible for getting "South Indian" food popular among us North Indians. Moreover, the quick service, standard taste across the different outlets, and relatively economical pricing makes it more of a nostalgic place than anything else.
I can under the newer generation give this a pass. More and more people now want "authentic" food and while the taste resembles that of the South at any Sagar Ratna, many will argue that it is not proper South Indian. In all honesty, it makes no difference to me because I have grown up eating it and still enjoy it.
Whether it is the various Dosas or Dahi Vada or any of the other dishes, I have at one time or another had them and can't really complain about them. It's comfort food and certainly one that you can bank on when in the mood for it.
The restaurant since the beginning is very basic in decor and the service too is super quick and old-fashioned.
The best part about going to Sagar Ratna is that I already know what I want and I know how it will taste, so there are no surprises and something that is good.
It is just like any another Sagar Ratna outlet. Good service, decent south indian food options, decent ambiance and seating.
I had masala dosa here, it was decent in taste. Tomato chutney is their best one, coconut chutney is also good in taste. Sambhar is decent and can be considered as above average one.

I use to visit this place only when I am out for official meetings either alone or with my colleagues considering reasonable price. The ambiance is average, food quality is average but I like the kathal and chole (mix) Sabji. For service I will give them 4 points out of 5.
I think if we talk about the food and the quality and dinning i can say they need to improve little bit and make the food as per the good quality as per the taste i can say its good to have this food specially #curd rice !!!!

Sagar ratna, a well renowned south Indian restaurant... you can visit it for breakfast,lunch and dinner.. the upma ,the rawa masala dosa,the sambar with three different chutneys...tempting... you would definitely love the tanginess in the sambar.. do try the filter coffee if you are going for breakfast... !!! A must visit for all the families if u are a south indian food lover!!! :)
This place needs no introduction and is already known for the quality south Indian food. I always order a few lime soda, a plate of vadas, a ghee roast and the filter coffee. As with all south Indian joints, the white coconut chutney is top notch. Vadas are soft and hot and the ghee roast is crispy and loaded with ghee. Usual fix when I'm craving south Indian.

One of the good place to have the Navrata Thali at Sector -29, Gurgaon. Have been this place earlier also for the Dosa’s but this time came here Navrata Thali . They have displayed the Huge Banner for promoting the Navrata Thali near their Signage . Standees are also place at the entrance .

There are 9 items in in the Navratra Thali .eg Kuttu Ka Atta ki Puri ( 4 pcs ) , a bowl of Samak Rice,a bowl of Shahi Paneer ,2 Dry Sabjis ( Raw Banana & Bottle Guard ) , Potato Gravy , Sabudana Papad , Sabudana Kheer , Fruit Salad and Finally Butter Milk .
Same sort of quantity in South Indian Thali eg Four Pieces of the Puri , Basmati Steam Rice , Rassam , Sambar ,Aloo Palak , South India veg Korma , Curd , Papad and finally on Sweet Rava Kesari .
Also they were selling Navratta Idli Platter and Vada Platter .

We went there for a family dinner as some of us wanted to eat Southern, some northern and some with no Onion and Garlic.
You know when you decide to go to such a place that what would you order and what to expect.
We ordered Dosas, Dal makhni, breads, idli, noodles, chilli paneer and the like. Yeah all mix.
The food was good. But I realised that their prices have now got exorbitant. Something that caught my eye was that something like a Parantha is Rs 72++.
Almost a 100 with taxes. I have been to lot of places where I have been happy to pay even double/ triple of that price, since those place kinda deserved that but not this place.
So this place is not for just another dinner out with the family because you don't want to cook. In nut shell it's not expensive but it's getting to a point where there is a cost-value mismatch.
Will I up there again?

We ordered Idli, Rawa onion dosa, chilli mushroom, Hakka noodles. I must say that even though it is a south Indian restaurant but Hakka noodles and chilli mushroom were also very tasteful. The south Indian food was no doubt amazing.

Service was real quick and staff was quite courteous.

Ambiance may not be the greatest but the Dal Makhni is to die for!! The food is served with warmth and I love their dal makhni, naans, kadhai paneer and butter paneer makhni. I WOULD DEFINITELY RECOMMEND THE SPRING ROLLS WHICH ARE SERVED WITH A LITTLE CHOP SUEY! The place is quite homely with delicious food!
The food of this place never seems to amaze me. Absolutely in love with their doses and the red chutney. And a special mention to the service because it's as fast as ever.
It's saddening to see the declining customer base of this place and I just wish people would remember sagar Ratna, now I think it's shree ratnam, for the South Indian food that always touches our hearts.

This is a simple no frills huge place in the middle of the food market of sector 29. Mostly not very crowded. Found the food good. Had Vada sambhar with Mysore Masala dosa which I found good. Loved the sambhar which had a lot of hing which I love. The chutney could have been better. Topped it up with filter coffee made from freshly roasted and then ground coffee beans (love the burnt aroma of the coffee beans). My companion had vada sambhar with Mysore Rawa Paneer dosa and loved the paneer filling. Young man had vada along with mix veg uttapam. Bill for 3 happy hungry people Rs.1400 which appears on the higher side given the simple, no frills restaurant that it is.

Used to be a really good place for south Indian but somehow this time i felt something has changed. Poori sabji was okay. Uttapam was superb and lemon rice was also quite okay.
Whenever we think about something vegetarian food this joint comes in our mind the staff is really good and the food is fresh a little desi but it's good for a change

I am not too much into south Indian meals, but like to have dosas once or twice in year :) . But I am sure I wont be going there again as the Sambhar the most common of them all was not at all worth it.
Naviedyam around Vyapar Kendra is far better choice if any of you want to have some good south Indian food in Gurgaon. I usually go there once every 6-7 months and it is far far better thn Sagar Ratna.

Living in South India for quite some time now and this place delivers the same quality of food in almost all its branches. It's a family restaurant with ample space, decent decor. The masala dosa with onion uttapam was sufficient for dinner. A word of advice - you can get extra sambar for free if you chat with the waiter.
Quick service. Lovely taste. I generally like south Indian food, but sagar ratna is my all time favorite. Love their sambar. This outlet is particularly huge. I like it!
Instead of a complimentary breakfast at our hotel we ventured across to sagar ratna. It was a wholesome ghee roast dosa, vada and idli. It was simply amazing. This India trip will need a lot of exercise. Great breakfast but sad to see so many empty tables.
I assumed Sagar Ratna meant South Indian Food. However, if you see their latest menu, they have tried to put in something for everyone. Not a good idea in my view. But anyway.
Ofcourse we ordered South Indian when we visited. Started with Rasam and papad and finishing with Filter Coffee.
The food is good. The service is ok. Their coconut chutneys are especially good.
Their ambience is bad. It seemed like we had stepped into a government office canteen.
But I guess when you are one of the few places which have South Indian Food, you can get away with no ambience!

One of the best place in Gurgaon to dine in with your family or friends or even loved ones. The ambience of this place is awesome and the behavior of the staff here is top notch. The restaurant is in prime location and easily accessible by all means of transport and there is also parking space. Coming to the food the price is a bit on the higher side but it's worth it. The portion size is more than enough and the taste is lip smacking. We ordered veg and non veg items and all of them were way too delicious. This restaurant is highly recommended by me and for any food lover they will fall in love with this place. Also the accompaniments in the end were lovely. Every penny spent was worth it.

I have been a regular customer of Dana Choga for over a year now, and it is my opinion that it is one of the finest establishments to enjoy authentic and delicious food in the city. Dana Choga is a place one should definitely visit for good North Indian food. Their quality, service and everything is top-notch.
I tried Dahi k kebab that was literally melting in the mouth kind of delicacies. I even tried their Strawberry and yogurt base mocktail along with Missi roti and palak paneer. The food was low on oil, light and tasty. Rotis were served fresh and hot. They even serve small paans at the end of the meal.
We visited the one near the auto market, Kataria Chowk and later on, the kids and babies voices filled the place that might be a distraction and disturbance for you if you want to eat your meal in peace.
I loved the ambience created in this place. The menu is good but options are limited. They have their unique chef specials and they have a dedicated drinks bar. They have made the place extremely spacious, they did this at the expense of bath room space which is quite small for such a huge place.
The service of the place was good, the food was great. The only things problematic were -
1. A constant fragrance. Allergic people would have difficulty breathing.
2. The washrooms are not in the restaurant but one has to go up a flight of stairs. People with knee problems could have issues going to the washrooms.
Food was great. We ordered dish...and they didn't delivered one vegetable until we had our 80 percent dinner finished. And not accepting mistake but saying we ordered at last...though it was first on list of order

One thing that was major disturbing is their service. They took nearly 45min to serve food on the table. Imagine we have to wait for 45min after starter for main course.
Their in restaurant dish prices are higher than online.
Overall, we had a good dinner.

They make regular Delhi cuisine well in a consistent way. You can trust on them to serve good meal without any unpleasant surprise, for your regular evening out. Weekends are crowded, and without saying noisy, try avoiding. The interiors are nothing to say about, so is the service.
