The food is really good here. Tried lots of options and always a good experience. Really like their breads which tastes extremely delicious.
Nice and polite staff. I went there because of the name and the food doesn't disappoint at all, be it shami kebab to start or mutton to relish !! Food game on point guys ! Kudos.
The true taste of Kashmir. It is certainly worth going here to try and give your tastebuds a nice change compared to the usual mughlai. A must visit if you haven't been introduced to kashmiri food.
After a long time had a chance to taste again the wonderful delicacy of Kashmir, A Tirami - A platter to taste the ultimate and my favourite cuisine of kashmir one by one. Even my guests were delighted. Never experienced before in NCR.
The ambience is great, with good attention to detail.
The interiors and the cutlery do give you a kind of traditional kashmiri vibe.
The quality of service mirrored the ambience with an exceptionally polite server, who was always available. The arrangement for washing hands is a nice touch.
The tabak maaz(fried mutton ribs) were great, a very different preparation from the usual North Indian dishes.
The marchwangan korma (mutton gravy) with rice was spicy and the flavours did not disappoint.
Do head for a culinary treat.
A foodies delight that is what Kashmir is and to bring all the flavours in a restaurant is extremely difficult but these guys have worked in the same a lot.
In cross point mall the hub of eateries in the Dlf-4 area and this is at the ground floor as one enters.
The ambience is ok a little cramped up but who complains when the food is good.
The service here s ok.
The food is fantastic rugwan Chaman, Rishra, Rajma etc. interesting thing I noted I. The menu was an unlimited meal called wazwan was tempted to try but kept it for another day. So have my reasons to visit again.
The verdict
Kashmiri food on your mind. Join in.
Want to experience some nice Kashmiri food? Then this place is totally a big thumbs up. Try there chefs specials and murg aloobukhara. They play Kashmiri music too. Just love there cutlery and crockery. 🎈
One thing which lack is all tables were empty which is not a great sign.
KC is a small, single cuisine focused restaurant in Cross Point mall, right across the road from Galleria. The interiors are very cosy and made up luxuriously. Everything about the restaurant is a great experience, including the fancy cutlery and the ornate little wash basin that's brought to you at the end of the meal.
The food is...different. It's not your usual run of the mill Mughlai fare and serves up an exciting opportunity to try new food. I wasn't very impressed with any of the food but I think it's one of those things that boils down to preference. The breads were fine, the meat was very well cooked and the gravies were watery but full of flavour. I can't comment on the authenticity of the Wazwan food but it is worth a visit for the quiet ambience and unique food.
So, I had a little fantasy of trying out the Kashmiri cuisine. The place looked decent to me. You can hop in here for romantic dinner dates. I loved the music playlist there, calm and soothing. Coming over service, it was really prompt and to the mark. I really liked the way waiter came to our table for making us wash our hands with the typical surahi. The ambience was eye catching.
In food, we ordered Kashmiri Rajma, Pudina Paratha and Ruwangan Tczaman with Tandoori Breads. The pudina paratha was really tasty and so was the Rajma. The spices used were adding sweet and sour taste to it.
Ruwangan Tczaman was typically a paneer dish with tomato purée. It tasted more like a tomato soup rather than a paneer dish.
Couples can head out for private WE time there.
We have been visiting this place quite often, but on our last visit we realised that they have might increased their prices but at the same time have definitely reduced the portion size. We used to get 3 pieces when ordered Tabak Maaz, now we only got two. We tried Rista biryani that was also barely sufficient for two people. The taste however remains and maintains as it was earlier, delightful.
Well located in Cross Point Mall...good Seekh kebabs and a unique Sooji Ki Phirni... the vegetarians must order Nadru Ki Tikki... however, the chutneys need some improvement, especially the Mooli Ki Chutney which was leaving water within minutes of resting. The Goshtaba curry was thick and creamy, which is what I liked about it. The spice levels are medium, so the ones looking for more heat may order green chillies on the side.
Tasty but not value for money, delivery cud hv been faster.
We went there on a Saturday evening 8:00PM and were kinda skeptical to go inside as we were going to be only customers in the restaurant. Interestingly, waiter cleared our doubts and assured us with reasons (e.g. people mostly rely on ordering online)
Besides that we went there primarily to have Tabakh Maaz which was unavailable due to Saturday rush (online orders). Not to disappoint our famished guts more, we decided to order Maaz Kanti & Maaz Shami Kebab for beginners and Marchwangan Korma & Rogan Josh for mains.
Maaz Kanti was less cooked. 4/10
Shami Kebab was amazing. 9/10
Marchwangan Korma spicy & great in taste 9/10
Rogan Josh was ok ok 7/10
Overall 8/10
Sometimes the expectations you have set in your head for a certain place are not 100% met but you still come out happy.
Thats what happend with me here.
The food was pretty ok and i didnt love it but I dont want to take out too many faults too. Its a once visit and decide for yourself kind of place
The problem is the service time which killed my mood and appetite to an extent
Its a once visit and decide yourself kind of place!
I would say they served my kind of food! Full of savoury, aroma but less spicy or hot! We started with 2 starters namely tabakh maaz which is crispy fried succulent mutton ribs which was just to die for! And maaz seekh kabab which just melted in the mouth and so flavoured and fresh (could make that out from the softness of the meat:-))..this was followed by goshtaba the one cooked with yogurt and rista in which meatballs are simmered in saffron curry..tasted great with steamed rice..n then ofcourse couldn’t miss having their signature dish goshtaba biryani.. which was again to my taste buds! Food here is extremely palatable to one’s liking who prefers aromatic and less spicy food!
Unprofessional staff spoils dinners always .food is good but some staff are bad in serving giving no heed atall which spoils the dinner of family .when ordered they cancel even though closing time after 2 hours
Do you love Kashmiri food? Yes, then look no further!
Just be here during lunch or dinner and dine with you family or friends and enjoy the treat. The food is all fresh and super nice.
As the name of the restaurant suggests..wonders of Kashmir..the food here is truly wonderful and cooked with lots of love and passion. We really had a hearty #KhyenChyen..which means Khana peena. The decor of the place makes one feel that it's in Kashmir that we are eating. The cook Abdul is also from Kashmir and does the meat pounding for Gushtaba and Rista himself.
The weather was beautiful and it was raining so we ordered Kahwa the minute we reached. Relished the saffron infused and topped with almond Kahwa.
Tabakmaaz was on my mind since I visited and ate in Srinagar..so the lunch started with tabakmaaz, seekh kebabs, nadru shami and mutton shami . Mooli chutny, green chutney n onion salad came along with the starters. Tabakmaaz was soft succulent and crispy outside..it lived up to my expectations ..real kashmiri treat..most people running kashmiri restaurant in NCR can't get it right.
Mutton shamis were not so exciting since they were deep fried. Whereas Nadru shamis were tasty. Seekh from Kashmir are more towards meaty flavour than more spices y. Good for a change.
For mains we ordered Rista, Mutton Yakhni, Marchwangan Maaz, RuwanganTczaman ( paneer chaman) Dhaniwal chicken, Kashmiri pulao , cheese naan, lachcha paratha and tandoori rotis. Rista had very soft and succulent meat balls cooked to perfection. Yakhni was a bit more sour and I would have preferred a subtle dahi sourness . The best on the menu card is Marchwangan korma. Which is mutton cooked with chillies gravy..was spicy and flavoursome. Only thing missing in the menu card was kashmiri roti with the delicious kormas n Rista.
We ordered Suji firni and when it came it was a visual delight..the firni had roasted poppy seeds n cinnamon dust as a garnish..it tasted super. Happy ending😊😋.
Relished every bit of each preparation and again we needed a cup of Kahwa to digest this meal. Wow is the word I would say for this afternoon affair with kashmiri food.
Staff is very friendly and quick in service. Cook came to meet us when we wanted to thank him personally. I would say for this exclusive cuisine experience it's reasonably priced and not very heavy on pocket. A must visit place if you are craving for authentic Kashmiri food.
Kashmiri Food and Khyen Chyen are like synonyms. You can't go to Kashmir daily, but you can sure go to crosspoint mall!Tabakmaaz, Gushtaba, Seekh kebabs, Nadru monji and Mutton Kanti are not to miss dishes. So is the kahwa.Keep up the good work guys. Proud of you :-)
Khyen Chyen does serve wonders of Kashmir. No doubt about it.
Crazy Bhukkhad admins decided to have a lunch meeting here today. And I feel we did right.
Weather had turned cooler since morning due to continual raining, and all of us wanted to have kahwa. So kahwa it was.
While sipping on the saffron infused dry fruit kahwa, we ordered Tabakh Maaz, Maaz Shami kebab, Maaz Kanti, Nadur Monji in starters.
Tabakh Maaz was as always very soft with crispy outer. Shami was unlike the mughlai one. It was mildly spiced, finely minced, deep fried kebab.
Maaz kanti can be compared with sort of chilli mutton, only a better version. It had melt in mouth mutton chunks tossed in onion capsicum. Nadur Monji looked to me as veg shami kebabs made with lotus stem.
We had also ordered the mains - daniwal chicken korma, Rista, Yakhin maaz, Ruwangan Tczaman and my fav marchwangan mutton korma.
Although I found yakhin a little too sour, my friends quite liked it. We had pulav and mixed breads basket.
And we ordered kahwa again!! 👌
My only ruse here has been the lack of specialty Kashmiri breads - rot, sheermal etc
I'm not much in to chicken but I took a bite from my friend's plate and all I'd say is , that you can't make chicken breast softer than what they do.
My star dishes here would remain tabakhmaaz and marchwangan korma, still I liked all the dishes today, and am inclined to add maaz kanti to my star list here and can visit khyen chyen the 7th time or more just for these!
This was my 6th visit since it opened at cross point and I have definitely found the quality and taste consistent. Keep it up team Khyen Chyen :-)
Whether you are a fan of Kashmiri cuisine or you like to try different cuisines, this is a must visit place in NCR. :-)
Love this place totally. Such a saviour you are. I was way tired of late night work and stress. Needed some good food to be back on track. And those tender loins and the yummy kababs just got me rolling. The best possible place for kashmiri cuisine must say. Loved it absolutely.
The kababs, the naan, the lachha paratha, chicken and mutton dishes were light, and quite filling. The onion chutney goes well with the other dishes, and their courtesy is definitely appreciated.
My first experience with Kashmiri food and it didn’t disappoint Tabakh Maaz stole my heart while the simple flavoursome Goshtaba and Marchwangan Korma added to the whole experience.
The only dish which I though needed some work was the Rista Briyani which was pretty bland, while I was not looking for any masala but it just tasted like white rice cooked with turmeric and salt.
I had once heard of this place from a friend a long time back. So decided to give it a try last weekend. Its a very small place that they have got with a seating of not more than 25 people. The restaurant was empty when we entered around 7:30 PM, probably because it was a little early for dinner. By the time our food was served, a few other tables had been occupied. We ordered a non veg platter for starters and all the things were well cooked and tasted good too. For main course, we ordered goshtaba and chicken Rogan Josh as per the waiter's recommendation along with tandoori roti. Goshtaba was really very good, the meat balls were very tender and easy to chew and wasn't spicy at all. But chicken Rogan Josh is best to be avoided. It was very salty and the gravy was very very thin. I would suggest you order something else in chicken. The staff was very courteous too! Nidhi Sardana
Khyen Chyen a fine dining restaurant in Gurgaon that serves authentic Kashmiri cuisine.
Ambience doesn’t give much look and feel of Kashmir although the hospitality of the staff does.
We ordered
Starters-
1. Kabaargah - Ribs of lamb cooked in milk and fried.
2. Seekh kebab - Mouth melting mutton kebab
Mains-
1. RoganJosh - a must have in kashmiri wazwan , mutton with red gravey.
2. Maaz Yakhni - A yogurt based gravey , too yum to miss out
3. Rice
Desert-
1. Phirni
The overall experience was great and would recommend this place.
Food- 4.5/5
Staff - 4.5/5
Ambience- 3.5/5
While went to crosspoint to get to some other restaurant, but that was incidentally closed for reno or got some problem that they were fixing because of thunderstorms and rain from a day before.
Anyways, we had to fill our tummy and we thought trying Kahmiri food wood be good. I was in mood for some goot Mutton and looked like we will be able to lay our hands on one of the best Rogan Josh.
With my fears of spending on bad cooked mutton and smelly mutton, i requested for the chef to meet me, which he did. Very nice and polite guy. He understood well what i meant and then when we asked for his reco, we were told to go for Tabakh Maaz and Goshtaba as well. I did order them apart from the Rogan Josh.
The Tabakh Maaz was a little chewy and crispy goat meet, that's rather tasteless and needs some work on it. May be more marination shall put the taste well into the dish. Else, its a no no. I thought it would come out like Mutton Burra, but that was not to be.
The Goshtaba was a different experience and is worth a try. Its gravy is prepared in curd and i could remmber the "Dahi ke Aloo" dish that is prepared in our house. The difference here is that there is no aloo, but mutton. :-)
Thank God that I ordered the Rogan Josh. One of the best Ive had in recent times. Well cooked, the gravy was super good and we licked out fingers too. The Naan and the gravy together worked well. Highly recommended . May i also say, put in the word with Chef as well, just to be sure.
The place has great ambience with some Kashmiri songs being played as well. The staff is friendly and I will come back again to try other dishes as well apart from the Rogan Josh.
Wanted to try this place since a long time but never did as have never seen this place packed. I believe its an underdog in the food industry. We tried mutton rogan josh and mutton qorma. The mutton qorma was on the spicy side, it was very chilli 🌶 yet not burning the mouth. The rogan josh was mild but very flavor full. A good experience
Great service, tasty food and nice ambience. I don't have anything bad to say about it. I got the chicken biryani and seekh kebab. Both of them were cooker perfectly and would be a good option to try,
The food is tasty and menu options are plenty. We ordered yakni, roganjosh and rista for the main course and fish for starters. Though they need to work on service and the quantity of food. Overall a good place to be.
We went there for lunch. I was surprised by their hospitality and food . Amazing range of food and what a taste.!!
A must visit for everyone who loves to experiment with food ❤️

Khyen Chen is a nice little Kashmiri restaurant situated on the ground Floor of Cross point Mall.
It's got nice interiors and tables are easily available here during lunch time.
They specialise in Kashmiri food. We had the following and I must say they were well prepared and served their objective.
RoganJosh - 4/5
Goshtaba Biryani - 3/5 (some may like it, didn't suit my palate)
Maaz Kanti - 4/5
Mixed Bread Basket - Good.
What amazing Kashmiti food. Authentic and delicious. Tried the Gushtaba and Rista - amazing flavours. They make a really nice qahwa as well. Highly recommended.
Nice place in gurgaon for kashmiri cuisine. It is in back side of cross point mall.
Excellent food. Not heavy or with complex flavors like the typical North Indian fare you would normally encounter, but simple flavors unlike what I have experienced. I would rate it as one of the best Indian places I have eaten at in many years. Highly recommended
Pretty good for some Kashmiri dishes. Servicing is slow, staff is courteous and warm but slow kitchen. Went there the second time.. Not bad. Need to try more of the dishes.. Liked t lotus stem in yogurt gravy (Nadur Yakhin), Daniwal korma (mutton in yogurt gravy), Rishta, Kale saag (haakh)...
Tried a delivery from this place the other night and totally loved it!
Firstly, I'd like to put a disclaimer that this is not the regualr north indian food you will come across.
I tried the kashmeeri razmah: very interesting and different taste.
Palak tczaman: so this is basically palak paneer in kashmiri style.
The veg biryani was delicious!
So basically they use a lot of cardomom in their cooking which brings out a really different taste in their food.
We tried the Nadur Monji which is basically lotus stem kebabs which were a little spicy but really delicious.
The qahwa was the best of the lot with saffron and cardomom and a few nuts! A must try from this place.
To top it all we had the halwa which was pretty normal, nothing different about it.
This place is for the people who like strong spices and especially love cardomom!
Changed management. From superb Kashmiri food, its changed to The Bombay Sandwich Company. The locale is brighter and more welcoming.
By our experience, the excellence remains. We had a quintessentially Parsi dish, Sali Boti with buttered Pau, and an Iranian breakfast of fried eggs with buttered Pau.
The Pau were fresh-baked (or fresh-finished, to be realistic), and the treatment of the main items was painstakingly put together. With bhel, sem, chopped onions and garnishes carefully and selectively added on, so the combination was an explosion of complementary flavours with each mouthful. Seemed to finish too soon, but we desisted from reordering, at least for the day.
Topped up with genuine South Indian filter coffee, in the authentic stainless steel glass and bowl for pouring over to bring it to drinkable temperature.
Very attentive and knowledgeable service.
Have to go back for seconds!
Khyen Chyen is an authentic Kashmiri restaurant. The cuisine is real Kashmiri and is prepared by authentic cheffs flown from Srinagar. They serve the food in authentic Kashmiri way and have introduced mini trami, an innovation indeed. Nasir Andrabi the entrepreneur who established this is working very hard to maintain the authenticity and is always keen to get feed back from his customers. I highly recommend this restaurant to the connenseurs of good food after all Kashmiri food is unique and tasty and has no parallel.
Visit here for authentic kashmiri food and ambiance. The food is very nice and sumptuous and the staff is dressed to add to the authenticity of the place.
