Malabar never disappoints, we usually order from here. My favourites are Chicken biryani, appam and egg curry. My partner always orders kappa and meen curry. The food is delicious and of good quantity. This year, I order Onam Sadhya too and it was neatly packed and quantity of so much that three of us ate from one Sadhya.
I started ordering from this place 2 years ago and I have never stopped ordering from them. This place is like literally 10 mins away from the place I have moved in recently. And whenever I feel like eating authentic Kerala food I order from this place, from parottas with chicken curry to mor curry and sambhar the taste is amazingly good and authentic. Being a Malayali I can vouch for that, surprisingly enough the place is run by people who are not from Southš. Every month I order the chicken biryani , Parotta and chicken curry, if I feel like eating something simple and light on the stomach and yet tasty meal. I order the mor curry and red rice.. The taste and quality have been consistent with each order not once have I been disappointed.
Good one... best space for fooding with family
Malabar as the name suggests its my favourite outlet for South Indian this Restaurant is especially famous for Appams, Malabari Paratha, Chicken Curry, Buttermilk, Vegetable Stew & Kothu Parathas etc.
So what i had was
Malabar non veg signature thali which included dishes like
1.1 Appam/Kerala parotta
2. 1 bowl Steamed rice white
3. Malabar special chicken curry
4. Nadan fish curry
5.Avial
6.Sambhar
7.Rasam
8.Papad
9.Achar
10.Payasm
I can not resist without dosa if I visit any South Indian outlet. They have a huge variety of Dosa but I prefer Masala Dosa though i tried Chicken for the first time but not so happy with that.
Ambience is good and nicely decorated,Staff person are nice & polite. However, food is what I see in a restaurant mainly but the way they present it is awesome it looks very presentable.
The food is simply delicious!!!
I am here in Gurgaon since a few weeks and I had my tummy crying for some Kerala style biriyani (a perfect jugalbandi of some salad, pickle and the mighty papadam). Malabar taste buds is the first Kerala restaurant I had tried and trust me itās the chicken and the masala that pushed me write this review. The biriyani is yum and the wonderful sleep after my tummy was ...was really a great one. Please do try it for once !!!!!!
Consistently good food. Weāve been ordering from this place for quite sometime now. Mutton Coconut Fry and Mutton Biryani are delicious. I would like to try test of the dishes.
I used to go all the way from gurgaon to INA market for porotta and beef fry. But this place is the most amazing discovery. Their stock is better than that of INA's, not at the same pocket pinch though. It is comparatively expensive but the food is worth everything. However, I have one problem, they don't deliver to dlf phase 5. I don't know why. I have tried so many times through zomato but it always comes as currently not delivering to your location. I wish I could get their food without much of an extra charge at the comfort of my home.
Was here today at Malabar taste bud, I must say the food is really good. So we ordered-
Chettinad chicken curry
Malabar special chicken curry
Malabar parotta
Appam
Fish curry
Chicken 65
And I must say the ambience was good and service was good and staff is very polite and courteous.
Itās a must visit place. Do try!!!!
Service- 5/5
Ambience- 5/5
Food- 5/5
We were a group of around 6 persons we loved every dish. Just wished there could be less spicy options for people who canāt tolerate much red and green chillies. If some more non spicy options are added it will be vaikunth.(perfect everlasting heaven)
I had the Malabar non veg signature thali which included-
1 Appam/Kerala parotta
1 bowl Steamed rice white
Malabar special chicken curry
Nadan fish curry
Pachaddi/parippu curry (moong dal curry)
Thoran Moru curry(beans curd curry)
Avial(thick mixture of vegetables seasoned with coconut)
Sambhar
Rasam
Papad
Achar
Payasm(sweet dish)
Being a South indian I crave for South indian food every month and this is the perfect place for it ...the ambience would be 3/5 but the food is a must try..
Great place for food from Kerala. I had Kothu parotta, appam and avial - all delicious. Kothu parotta was the star dish. It's a comfortable old style restaurant with good service. Definitely worth a visit.
We have ordered food from Malabar several times. Undoubtedly the food is delicious, what I like the most is their preparations and food quality doesn't vary. They are consistent. A bit oily curries though, but I like the taste. Slightly on the spicy side, chicken chettinad, madam chicken, erachi curry and thatu Dosa are my all time favorites.
It's a simple place that dishes out good and tasty food. I must say the seer fish curry was perfect and we enjoyed it with some appams and red rice. We also tried the kottu paratha, my first time tasting this particular dish and I liked it a lot. The netholi fish was crispy and fried to perfection. Enjoyed my meal here. They do give you a complimentary serving of payasam at the end. It's not much but just enough to satiate your sweet cravings after a heavy meal. If you enjoy south Indian style food and can stomach the spices then this is the place to visit. You can request them to go a bit easy on the spices and they do oblige.
Very very good food. Don't remember the last time I enjoyed every single dish I ordered. The dishes we ordered were spicy to the point of tears running down our cheeks, but so good that you had to keep going.
This place and the food here holds special place in my heart, I have tried malabari parontha and couple of other items from the menu I feel this is the place which is very close to authentic south Indian food. Every item on menu is worth it.
Stumbled upon this place as we were driving by the service lane on Golf Course Road and Iām glad we did
Ambience: Itās a simple restaurant plays Malayalam music in the background and has a small alley full of quintessential Malayali cuisine supplies.
Food: They serves a plate of papadum complimentary. We ordered Egg Kothu parotta(5 stars), Aapam and Takkali curry, Non Veg Thali, Puttu and Kadala Curry. Everything tasted great. Portions were sumptuous.
Price: For all of this, we paid JUST 800 Rs. Total value for money
Staff: Staff are very courteous and well versed with the items on the menu.
I highly recommend this place if you are looking for Kerala comfort food.
Very good food. Authentic taste. The food is most of the times piping hot & the packing is as needed by the item. Not just random.
Just sometimes - which I wish the owners to notice is the kadal curry, sometimes is as if water was added to increase volume. The original one is much better though.
Try serving kothu paratha with sweet chilli sauce. Tastes better than with raita
Beautiful food. Beautiful service. Beautiful everything.
Best malabar food in town. It has great things to offer vegetarians as well. Iāve tried multiple other restaurants serving Malabar cuisine but nothing comes close to this one.
I was craving for Kerala Thali (Sadhya) so I was searching a place and I came across Malabar Taste Buds and I fell in love with it. They don't serve it on banana leaf and they serve very small quantity of good but you can ask for refill. We tried Puttu and Kadala Curry, and it was delicious.
This is my favourite place to order Kerala Biryani. They serve it with raita, pickle and papadum. I feel raita quantity should be increased.
Loved the food everytime we visited the place.
From chicken Chettinad to the chicken varatharchu (means fried with coconut and spices)
They offer you pappadum for starters which are complimentary and Payasam (kheer) for desert which is also complimentary.
Best pocket-friendly place for Kerala food in Gurgaon. Taste is amazing and the staff is very courteous. Very good place for authentic Kerala food.
Good south indian food. Their malabar pranthas and appams are out of this world. My favorite is roast mutton and chetinad chicken. Only called for food never been there. Still can say great food all the way
Fantastic food and great value for money. Without any pretentious frills, one of the best kerala food i've ever had in delhi. Good clean ambience and well laid out restaurant. Generous portions and most importantly great taste. Had the following:
non veg thali - excellent taste, variety and portions
Chicken biryani above average taste and generous portions
soft flaky kerala parottas
Succulent meat roast which was extremely well made
Great service and end of the day highly recommended.
Awesome Kerala food... Authentic spices, tasty food, ambience & decor. The service is very personalized. Empty your tummy if you truly want to enjoy the cuisines.

Really nice authentic Kerala food. Always love the food here especially the biryani. Food is always delivered on time even when you order directly from them. Really the best Kerala food
Had mutton Curry and Kerala paratha ordered by my husband...Such a satisfactory dinner for my taste buds. Will definitely recommend it to others.
If you are looking for traditional Kerala food at good location and pleasant ambience, then head to Malabar taste buds. As part of the restaurant there is a grocery store which gives you essential Kerala goods. Coming to the food, items like appam, puttu, beef roast, porotta, fish fry, chicken curry , kappa etc..etc.. are never going to disappoint. Once had fish molee from here which I did not like much and not going to recommend that. They give you semiya payasam / kheer after you have the main course as a goodwill gesture. Highly recommended for those who are ready to try Kerala dishes. Happy fooding! :)
awesome Kerala cuisine with a good ambiance.
The restaurant has a good list of South Indian and Kerala based food that anyone would just want to have more of it.
Loved the food and experience here, tucked away in a small corner of Golf Course Road, this place is really the bomb! Authentic food and really courteous, polite staff.
Vowww what an awesome authentic food.. righty cooked and soft appams, chicken chettinad and parota... pls dnt loose ur authenticity at any point in time.. thats ur USP guys.. keep rocking
Being a South Indian in Gurgaon is not easy, folks! I hardly find any authentic restaurants serving me something that puts me in a state of nostalgia. However, Malabar Taste Buds has renewed my faith! I am so glad I stumbled upon them the other day while scrolling through Zomato.
I am on a diet so I wanted to eat something healthy. The Combo options looked perfect for a single serving - went for the Vegetable Stew with Idiyappam (rice noodles). Delivery was on time, the food was hot and it tasted amazing! It took me back to Kerala in one bite. I ordered the next week for Egg Curry and Appam. Superb experience again - people in my office went crazy for the curry. I wished I had ordered more! I can't wait to order from here again...I have my eyes on the Kothu Parotta :D
Love this place for the warmth it has and of course the food is just amazing , the chicken so tender and moderately spiced and perfect cup of filter coffee to wash it all down overall a ten on ten experience for me
Delighted that someone was kind enough to recommend this place for Authentic Kerala food. If one wants to know the difference between the often said' South Indian' food & Kerala food; I STRONGLY recommend this place.Had 'thali'.Do ask for a second or more helping if you need, they happily serve you.
They also have a section selling Kerala spices, vegetables, savouries, etc.
Excellent hospitality by the entire staff.

Decent ambience.
Delicious Kerala food.
Thali isn't a good choice.
Chilly chicken - hit list
Avoid during Onam. It's over hyped and the quality gets compromised
Such an amazing experience, I have been brought up eating Malabari cusine. And I am so choosy about its taste. After tasting places like paragon from Calicut, my expectations were already high. But I was not let down. Delicious food, nice packaging and wonderful portions. One chicken biryani more then sufficient for two and porroto so smooth and flaky just spot on. Will order again and soon .
Ordered couple of times from Taste Buds. Delivery was on time.
Chicken biryani - 3.5 / 5
Not too spicy; decent quantity and enough chicken
Fish curry - paratha combo - 4 / 5
Authentic red dish curry from Kerala and amazing parathas. Only drawback was limited and tiny fish pieces
Mutton curry - 3.5 / 5
Mutton cooked well; bit bland for my taste
Appam - chicken curry combo
Both were decent
What stands out is the authentic Kerala taste, so go here if you crave that. But not a regular go-to place for me given the price- quantity ratio!
Nice place delivery on time excellent food hygenic best for the freshers
I ordered chucken biryani the flavour was awsome and also pocket friendly
Total value for money. Amazing food and great service. Tucked away in one of the streets, the food is a delight to your tastebuds. Must visit for foodies.
This little hidden gem has been serving some amazing food since it started... A must try place for Kerala food lovers. Favorites - konchu roast, stews, malabar curry.. Along with fluffy delicious appam or parottas.. Excellent packaging for home deliveries, food always served fresh and piping hot. Keep it up!
Keralite friend introduce me to this place. Quite impressive place to try keralite dishes.
Karimean and rice putt are my favourite dishes from menu.
While placing order for the first time I was lil skeptical as not every restaurant can prepare and serve a nice keralite food, but when order arrived me, mom and dad were simply on cloud 9.. You guys are amazing, thanks to your chef that we could not stop placing orders.. Kerala parantha is a must try, chicken stew, chicken verathuchetthu, kappa, fish curry everything was so yummmmm..
Dining is good too, very hygienic and well maintained and loved the picks banana wafers, spices, coffee powder etc nice collection of keralite items..
Thank u again guys for leaving me in awe...!!
I travel whole North India as part of my job but I am South Indian until now no where I've eaten the actual South Indian dishes as tasty as Malabar taste buds.. paayasam killed it. Great experience will visit again. Highly recommended.
Being a fan of Kerala food, I ordered veg korma and parrota. Taste was yum with nice gravy cooked in coconut milk. One should try this restaurant once. Kothu paratha was also good
One of the best places I have found as far as south indian food is concerned.
Service was ok but the food actually overpowered any other issues at this place.
One major issue - I ordered Thali but the quantity was so less, check out in the pictures you would b astonished.
Ordered egg curry meal from here. Opted for malabari paranthas along with it.
The gravy taste was authentic malabari which I was yearning for and paranthas were also nice and flaky. Only grouse is that the egg curry had only one whole egg. This for around 130 ,I expected at least 2 whole eggs in the portion.
But as I mentioned the taste was spot on. (It was heavy on spices so gave a bit of heartburn afterwards )
After spending 11 years in south india I believed I had tasted the best south indian food and could not find that same taste anywhere in NCR. But this place changed my belief.
They serve by far the most authentic malabari food u can get in ncr.
Tried following items;
Paneer chettinad - 5/5
Appam- 5/5
Kerala parotta-5/5
Ghee roast-4/5
Egg curry-5/5
Ghee roast was good in taste but the issue was with its size.it was of the size of an uttapam. Management may want to take note of this.
All in all, a great dinner experience.
If you are looking for authentic Kerala cuisine, I highly recommend this place. All their dishes are tasty - from the egg preparations to chicken to mutton and even vegetarian. It's all yummy. Some of it, like their mutton pepper fry was super spicy (so tasty with chunks of coconut slices in it) - have it with their flaky Malabar paratha or their hot appams and it's yummmm. Highly recommended are also the veg stew, veg korma, malabar special chicken curry and their egg roast.
Best place to find malabari cuisine at great prices. One can get almost home like taste on a regular basis. Hope they keep up the execellent taste and pricing.
Love the food. Always amazing. Biryani is my super favorite. Malabar paratha awesome, anyone who loves non-veg, must go. Will never be a disappointment
Going malabar taste buds at lunch and order idli sambhar and filter coffee. The idli was soft and very delicious sambhar was fresh and taste. Coffee was strong and very tasty. Staff and service was good.
I ordered veg stew and chicken curry with appams and parathas. The stew and breads were great and reminiscent of malabar, however the chicken could have been better.
This place is a must go. Authentic keralite food. The appam and chicken curry combo tasted so damn good. The ambiance was also really nice. The staff was well mannered
Excellent food with authentic Kerala spices. Generous portions with a full small fish for the fish cooked in banana leaf with spices and almost half a chicken in heavy for the chicken varutharachathu.
This place is absolute bliss! If you really love fish and South Indian, move your legs and run. I went here a zillion time by now, and only one thing I regret is why I didnāt discover this place any sooner? šš»āāļø
Surprisingly tasty. Chettinad chicken has slightly sweetish and coconuty taste. Have it with Malabar Parantha.
Went here for team lunch. Usually we go to their branch near Medanta but this one has more comfortable seating & ambience. Food is good here and very pocket friendly. 9 of us āfeastedā here on chicken curry, porotta, appam, stew & biriyanis for 2.7K! Itās expensive than the one opposite Medanta but then the ambience is worth it.
Came here for Kerala traditional Thali meals. Most of the items were good and tasted traditional except for a few. Nice ambience and descent pricing as well. We had to wait a while for the food, but it was worth the wait. Definitely recommended for mallus.
Mistakenly came here and found that it was delivery only location.. dining was somewhere else..
but staff was accommodative to give me a small table to eat as I was alone. Food was pretty decent.. enjoyed the trip
Thanks MTB
All.
This is a delivery only point.please don't visit for dining
Good food. Value for money. Service was quick. Biryani is a must try! The best part is the small complementary dessert.
Onasadhya was amazing !
*Won't be available all days
Normal days: Malabar special chicken curry, appam, chicken 65 (crispy )
I have been a loyal customer of Malabar Taste Buds for about 2,3 years now. Its my go to place for authentic Kerala food in Gurgaon. Its sad that you have removed Payasam from your menus on Swiggy and Zomato. Its my humble request to please bring back on the menu, the delicious varieties of Payasam that you used to serve.
The food here is just amazing. It's a home away from home for me being a Keralite living away. There is variety and the taste is just like what you get in Kerala. This is by far one of the best restaurant serving authentic cuisine. I would strongly recommend this place to everyone who is tired of eating same kind of food in the name of South Indian food. The food would blow your mind and you would want to thank me for saving a trip to Kerala.
Perfect South Indian experience. Delicious Kerala food in Gurgaon. Taste is very good although ambience is quite basic but I must say if you love eating Kerala cuisine then it is a must visit restaurant. Lots of food options available. Must try their special thali and vegetable stew with Malabar porrotta. 5 stars for it's taste and food quality.
Reasonably good place serving kerala cuisine. We tried Rasam which was not so good, felt like made from a rasam powder, I expected it to be more authentic. Onion bhajias were OKish.
Roasted prawns we're nice (this comes with thick gravy to go with paratha) and so was paneer chettinad. Malabar paratha was very good. They serve complimentary fried papad chips and sweet kheer.
In the end it was filling experience at reasonable cost.
Small but well maintained place in Sec 29. Tucked in to a small lane, this place is easy to miss without the help of maps. While it is not a complete Kerala taste food, comes pretty close...sitting miles away :) The egg roast and mutton roast were good and so were the appams. The meals were good and so was the complimentary payasam. Certainly a good place for Kerala food lovers in Gurgaon
Good food, great service. They even have a small section of the restaurant which has all the authentic food items from Kerala like chips, papadam, Kerala rice, tapioca etc. So next time you are there dont forget to check it out while you wait for your food.
Authentic Kerala food available here. There is a grocery store as well but that's highly charged. For emergencies you can take. Food is bit spicy and they do not have control on that. No doubt they keep the hygiene.
Total value for money. Great south Indian keralite food. Try the thali for getting a bit of everything on the first visit. The katori size in the thali is small though. The taste is Damn good. Located in a cranny nook and has the most unglamorous entrance. But looks are deceptive. Great place. Must go if you looking for a great Sunday keralite brunch
Glad to discover this place, all of us liked the the place in terms of decor, ambience, food and service.
Have good elaborate non-veg option as well.
Parking is an issue here, so its better to park outside.
Simple decor and furniture.
Value for money.
The thali alone was difficult to finish.
Portion size was good.
They give papad as accompliments.
Quick and efficient service.
As an courtesy we have been served with complimentary dessert as well.
