Before checking out this place, my knowledge of Maharashtrian street food was limited to vada pav, pav bhaji and bhel puri. This place introduced me to Dabeli which blew me over. Dabeli is vada pav’s more exciting cousin with sev and chutney. Even thinking about it is making my mouth water. Also tried misal pav which I did not like as much.
#awosum ragda patyy# tasty masala tea#
We ordered dabeli, sev puri, kokam soda and sabudana vada.
Everything was good. Dabeli could have been better but no complains as such.
As my friend said the kokam was not authentic but I liked it.
Loved the sabudana vada n sev puri to the bits ❤️❤️
Thanks for such lovely evening and food
Wanted to try Maharashtrian cuisine here for a very long time and glad that I did .
Food : We ordered Kolhapuri dhapata which are rice flour rotis . It was served with aloo sabzi , raita , chutney . The sabzi though spicy was so good , I could not stop eating it . Also ordered mango lassi which was good .
Ambience : It's located in the food court so pretty decent .
Service : Our food came in less than 10 minutes , so quite prompt I would say .
I would definitely want to go here again and try their other dishes .
After searching a lot I found this place , this serves authentic Maharashtrian food
I have tried their missal pav and it reminded me of Maharashtra
So if you want to satisfy your craving for maharastrian food this place is just for you .
Good food, if you like typical Maharashtrian food, this could be place for you. :) You should try there sabudana khichdi, sabudana vada and other items as well.
Vada Pav, alternatively spelt Vada Pao, Wada Pav, or Wada Pao, is a vegetarian fast food dish native to the Indian state of Maharashtra. The dish consists of a deep fried potato dumpling placed inside a bread bun (pav) sliced almost in half through the middle. It is generally accompanied with one or more chutneys and a green chilli pepper.[1] It originated as cheap street food in Mumbai, but is now served in food stalls and restaurants across India. It is also called Bombay Burger in keeping with its origins and its resemblance in physical form to a burger.
So if you’re a foodie and wanting to explore a good option of vada Pav in Delhi NCR, head straight to the “Maharashtra Foods”, an outlet inside the food court of Ambience Mall, Gurgaon. This place boasts of delectable flavoured maharashtrian cuisine including, Dabeli. One of the best vada pavs I have had in Delhi.
Great place for good food. Clean, fast and great to taste. You will get authentic Maharashtrian food (with less chillies )if you so desire. The Vada Pao is so different and the spice mix just right. It’s a must try place.
I am a Maharashtrian and the closest I could get home interims of the Maharshtrian food taste in Delhi, is this little counter at Ambience mall
Do try the Vadapao , Kanda Bhaji and Sabudana Vada, they are pricey compared to the rates in Mumbai, but the food quality is decent.
Ate sabudana vada- big enough for 1 person’s lunch
Was cooked freshly Cz it was steaming hot!
Won’t mind coming here again to try their remaining Maharashtrain dishes!
very good place to have maharashtrian food in the Ambience food court. At evenings mostly this joint will be crowed. you can enjoy the pav bhaji, vada pao, dabeli, sabudana vada and bhelpuri. Prices are decent.
They provide classy maharashtrian meals and subs that can one enjoy at any time. Their prices are not too high and they provide quality food with good taste. Overall a thumbs up
This is outlet at food court in ambience mall as it's name suggests it serve some good maharashtra food.so as i am big fan of vada paav,i ordered one.i ordered combo vada paav with masala tea.it was very tasty, tikki used was very crispy and chutney's spread all over paav were very delectable.masala tea was aslo good.the combination of both vada paav and masala tea make my appetite very satisfied.
Keep going to this outlet every time I go to ambience mall. Tried almost everything from vada Pav, pav bhaji, sabudana khichadi, corn pakoda, Mumbai pulao and dabheli. Good break from North Indian food. Especially like Vada Pao at this outlets. However find them slightly overpriced for the quantities they serve
If you love Vada Pao, then look no further, this place has best Vada Pao in town! Without a doubt. Whenever we visit the food court we have it without fail.
You can try other street foods of Maharashtrian cuisine...must try. We also like Thalipeeth.. 😊
My experience at Maharashtra foods was a good one. I had ordered a pav bhaji and Vada pav. Both the food items were good. The pav bhaji tasted alright and I wish they had added a little bit more pav bhaji masala. The good part of the bhaji was that there was no excess oil floating on the top of it.
The Vada pav were delicious. I loved that they were not too spicy. The green chutney also tasted good. In all it was street food done well.
They serve pretty tasty and seemingly fresh Maharasthrian food. The Sabudana Vada, Puran Poli, Kokam Soda, and Mattha are excellent. The Vada Pav is quite good as well. All their dishes are slightly on the spicier side though.
Ordered pao bhaji at maharastra foods during navratras. Bhaji was excellent but didn’t like the pao. They should’ve been more soft as per the authenticity of the restaurant
I have only tried vada pao and misal pao here and I can confidently say that both are absolutely delicious. The vada pao is authentic and yummy. I look forward to trying more dishes at maharashtra foods!
This place is for chatoris and chatoras. I often visit this place and eat sev puri, bhel puri, sabu Dana khichidi, ragda paties, Upma and want to try all the dishes here. I highly recommend sev puri and bhel puri and all the food they have are just awesome to kill your chaat craving. I am not a fan of Delhi chaats but a huge fan of Bengal and Maharashtra chaats, hence this place is my favourite..
They maintain good hygiene
I find food are pretty healthy with less oil
Affordable
Yummy food
Amazing food! Puran Poli, Misal Pav and Thalipeeth were just very authentic. Though the Pav/Bun in Delhi NCR has its own sweet taste unlike the ones in Mumbai, Misal Pav was little different in taste but yum. Being a Maharashtrian, I was so happy to find this outlet in Ambience Mall. I ll visit this place whenever I am back in Delhi.Go for it 👍
Loved this outlet... the taste and quality is awesome at an affordable pricing.. Their Khanda bhajiya and vada paav was a treat will love to visit it it again a peppy outlet in the over pricey ambience mall
One of my favorite places to have a good vada pao in Gurgaon. The best part is that they introduced me to 'dabeli' and I will be forever grateful to them for it. I have never been to Maharashtra so I don't know if the taste is authentic or not but I love it just how they make the food.
After living in Mumbai for few years, always longed for dabheli and thus when this stall opened, I was regular almost every week. Over few years, have tried more than half of menu. Though dabeli is nowhere close to original, it tastes good. Same applies to vada Pav. Both the dishes are expensive for the taste. Corn pakoda and bhelpuri are average. Pav bhaji and Mumbai pulao can be avoided. Best dish I've tasted so far is sabudana khichdi. #hereartigoes
Visited this place after a long time. Was having this urge to have vada pav since a few days. Quite decent preparation with authentic red chutney. The pav just misses the nark compared to mumbai ones. Overall value for money.
In crowded and disappointing food court this place is a gem. Serving authentic Maharashtrian food to the masses. Very reasonable pricing and quick service. Had dabeli which was spicy crunchy and good
In maharashtra food i always like to have pav bhajii..
I was in ambience mall to decided to visit this restaurant and order pav bhaji and its meet my expectation level.. taste was quite good..
Wow experience. Mumbai in Gurgaon, totally ! I had the dhabheli and thepla. The taste is really good and would take you to western India for some time. HIghly recommended.
Maharashtra Foods a kiosk in Ambi mall's food court that serves authentic food from the state. We have tried their vada pav, pav bhaji pulao, kokum soda and dabeli on numerous occasions. Good taste and almost authentic. The place does need a bit of a renovation and a good clean up as hygiene levels look a bit dodgy. We had tried their Thepla recently which was a bit of a let down. It was too thin and the sabzi was really oily and lacked flavour. Hope they will improve their quality a bit as there aren't too many options to enjoy Mumbai Street food in Gurgaon.
It is the one of the most authentic maharashtrian food joint in NCR i have gone too . I tried vada PAO with dried red chilli powder chutney . Tooooo good . Jhunka bhakar was as good as u get anywhere in Maharashtra and Pav bhaji was also good
Those of you who are street food lovers would relish this place. Especially maharashtra stree lt delcasies. What better place to be at if you are missing things like vada pao, pao bhaji, ragda patties ...... to name a few. They just give you a chance to be momentarily in Maharashtra and enjoy being there. You get these dishes in other restaurants and eating joints too but nothing beats the authentic taste. It's only this place that has made me try shrikhand and go and order it one more time. Worth trying
My hubby is from Mymbai & he just cant survive without vada pav n misal and all the stuff that mumbai is about....and so we frequent this place very often.
Am personally not a big fan of food items that are served in M'tra but then even i cud not keep myself from trying the food at M'tra foods & yes they do make it in perfect Mumbaiya style & it does taste good.
We have tried vada pav, misal, sabudana pakora, thalipit, kokam, etc etc...basically the entire menu & its all worth a visit.
It’s your typical food court kiosk but surprisingly serves up very authentic street food from Maharashtra. They not only serve tasty vada pavs, pav bhaji, sevpuri and bhel puri but also the uncommon (outside Maharashtra) stuff like Zunka Bhakhar, Dabeli and Pav Bhaji Pulao. To wash it all down, there is a wonderful Kokum Soda too. Things are made fresh and service is polite. They need to look at giving the place a good clean long scrub though as it does look a bit tired now.
I miss street food of Bombay, so whenever I get a chance to visit Ambience Mall I never miss a chance to eat atleast one dish from here.
Things I like the most - Dabeli, Misal Pav, Puran Poli and Vada Pav!
Though I mostly try to avoid food courts (because of the hordes of people everywhere and the din!) I had no option but to visit teh one at Ambience Mall as I had been dying to sample some Maharashtrian food. Having lived in Mumbai for over 4 years and having had street food there every other day, I really missed it in NCR.
I had their misal pau (it was quite good) and sev puri (it was fine). Will definitely go back for more...on a working day hopefully, when I won't need to hunt for a place to sit for 20 minutes!!

I am not a great fan of Marathi food, but sometimes for a change don't mind trying it out.
Yesterday, had poha and dabeli at this outlet in Ambience Mall.
Poha was ok, not that great. It was freshly made, but lacked flavour. I prefer the one which is served at Roots Cafe.
Dabeli was nice - with the right amount of spices. The Pav was fresh too.
Small outlets like these, sometimes bring a smile on your face when you relish the regional food they specialize into. This small little outlet can be found in the food court of Ambience Mall, Gurgaon. This one is a Maharashtra food special outlet serving you the Vada Paos and all other Maharastrian food.
We quickly ordered Sabudana Vada,Misal Pao and Kokam Soda. The order also came in quickly in a tray.
-->Sabudana Vada was crispy and tasty. There was a bit of oil but the overall taste was nice.It was served with Chutney.
-->Misal Pao was pretty decent. Served with a mixture dipped in a delicious masala curry. Also, to add up to its taste, you get lemon with onion.
-->And last but not the least,Kokam soda.It is a good drink made from the kokam fruit extract and then mixed with soda.It is both sweet n' sour. A good drink overall.
---> A good place to grab your favourite Maharastrian food in a normal food court ambience. The food is decent and so is the price. Go grab one.
I love this place in the mall. Even when you eat other things in the food court you can have anything from here like a snack. Their food is so close to what you get in Bombay. I have tried their sev puri, missal Pao and they both are really good. But my favourite is their vada Pao. It's just right with the chutney and the green chilli. You can also pack it and take it home and eat it with your evening tea and tv.
"Maala marathi het naahi"
I like the concept. A simple, very simple joint that prepares the authentic Maharashtrian cuisine. From the very staples to the complex ones, They have quite an affair of dishes to offer. The prices are a bit on a high for such simple street dishes. But since the quality is okay, I think the prices are justified.
I just feel that they need to pep up the game. Be a bit promotional and a bit more fancy might help them.
A full 5 stars only for the amazing Vada Pav that these guys make. Fully authentic just like the ones you get in Bombay but with inflated prices. Have not tried anything else much but go there only for the Vada Pav.
Maharashtra Foods
I have visited this outlet a lot of times for their amazing vada pav :) it is one of my and my familiy's favourites..!! It comes with a yummy green chilli which i always take some extra as it gives a nice flavour to the vada pav :)
Their service is always swift. The staff here are always ready to assist you in case you need any info regarding the dishes.
This time we ordered a pao bhaji and sabudana vada along with our favourite vada pav..! Well the pao bhaji came close to the actual maharashtrian flavour but I felt it to be a little less spicy than the one in mumbai...so a little scope for improvement there.. and with the sabudana vada...again I felt a little less of flavour or spices in there..
Give it a try..! May be some other dishes..but dont miss their vada pav.. :)
Hope it helped.
Nice outlet for Marathi food.. I ordered Vada Pao, it was served with roasted big green chilly and green chutney.. It was yummy.. It gave taste of Vada Poa i tasted in Mumbai.
If you are a fan of maharashtrian cuisine then this is the outlet you should head to. Their pao bhaji, misal pao, dabeli, vada pao and puranpoli are a delight to have and taste very authentic. Quick service and reasonable prices add a lot of charm and gives you even more incentive to visit. So head to this outlet and experience maharashtra in gurgaon.
Tried Cocum Soda from this oultet in the food court. It turned out to be an average drink but something unusual in Delhi. But I found it was overpriced. I mean i paid almost Rs.80 for a small glass of soda which as i said earlier was just average and nothing great in taste. Hope the management is listening!
If you're hungry and craving spicy & clean options to eat, head straight to Maharashtra foods. I had sev puri and pav bhaji alongwith their Mattha (chaach). It was absolutely yum. I could have had another plate! Next time I'm definitely trying their batata wada which happens to be one of my fav maharashtrian dishes. Please come up with more outlets in Delhi. :)
Safest place to eat in the food court. The food is yummy and the quality is good. Recommend to order sabudaana khichdi, bhel puri
The quantity is good and they serve quickly compared to rest
Craving for some authentic maharashtrian foods ????? Visit this place for some mouth watering dishes . They serve dishes including daabeli, saabutdaana( sago) vada, khichadi, cheela, chaai n so on ... all remaining their original taste every time. We ordered sabuddana Wada priced at rs 175/- . Four in number , vada's were made up of soaked sago, groundnuts, green chillies and masala's, deep fried and served with green pudina, dhaniya chutney , a big fried green chilli ! Perfect combination of crunchiness a spicy twist ! Enjoy this with tea while being seated the ambience mall, Gurugram food court! #vada #maharashtrafoods #mustvisit #sabutdanavada #quickbites
Makai pakora from maharashtra foods ! Crispy pakora with corn flour , sweet corns and green chillies ! Served with fried green chilly , so yummy n tasty! One of the best dish to make your day ! #yummyfood
I liked the vada pav and other snacks and chaat of mumbai here. They were really good. However, i also ordered kokam, but didnt like it much as it was too sweet. Overall, its good to have all ur mumbai street food here in delgi
Must Visit place in NCR if you want Maharashtra food;Value for money;Have Vada Pao, Kokam Shrbar & Misal Paoservice is ok ;loved food here , vistited multiple time
They have the stall in Delhi Hut INA, where they have being rewarded as the "best food" . So, trying the food here was a must for me. I became repeated customer for them, whenever I am in Ambiance mall I am having food from here only.
Reason is the quality they maintain and the kind of food they serve. Vada Pao, Ragda Patties and pao bhajji are awesome with exaclty how much spicy it should be. I was not sure about the breverage - Konkam soda but the manager explained me what is Konkam and how good it is.
So, a place if you want to try the Maharashtrian food and for sure want to ditch the fast food
Ambiance - as it is in food court can't score it
Menu - 3/5
Taste - 4/5
Servicing - Self Service
Ordered Dabeli, Pav Bhaji Pulao and Puran Poli.
To be honest I've had better Dabeli and Puran Poli and it was my first time at trying Pao Bhaji Pulao. It was good but I would prefer it to be a bit more spicy and flavourful.
It was a decent experience overall.
Was searching for Vada Pao and Batata Wada in Delhi. Ended up landing at this place. Taste is good. Dabeli turn out to be the best after trying almost everything.
Visited there to have some snacks and the snacks were good but drinks were yukk
We ordered
MAKAI PAKORA- there were around 15-20 pieces of pakora and the pakora were fried nicely and had no extra oil
SALTED LASSI- this was not at all good and has some sort of mint flavour and 0/5 rating for this
VADA PAV- Here comes the show stopper .. this was the best part of the meal and the vada was crispy and crunchy
THAIPLA- This was a heavy meal which has 2 sauces , 4 thailplas, aloo sabji and cucumber raita.. and this was more than enough for 2 people
This is one of the best counters in the food court of ambience mall!
Firstly it is serves authentic delicious maharashtrian food in Delhi that it would amaze you!
There is a lot of variety and the prices are very economical.
We ordered vada pav and ragda patties wnich were delicious! The spices are perfect and the serving portions are just enough for a two!
Must try if you love maharashtrian food or want to try some while in Delhi NCR!
Cheers!👍🏻
Well i had been craving for sabudana khichdi for long ...but was not getting tym to cook ...visited the food court and when i saw the menu i was excited ..it was prepared perfectly and served with green chutney and dahi ..loved it very much ..vada apv are okayish ..i have had bettr vada pavs in ggn at other places ... Shrikhand was perfect ... Its a great place if u like maharashtrian food ...the food is prepared very hygenically here ..
I love the food here. I tried Dabeli, Pau Bhaji, Ragda Pattis , vada pao and Matta....n loved it. The food is authentic maharastrian food.
The service is quick and efficient.
It has become my go to place in ambience mall. I wish they open another outlet in sec 29 too.
My absolute fav. It deserves a 4.
The Maharashtra Food is superb ! Thinking about trying a different food outlet was awesome, because Maharashtra Food, they served great quality food.
When you think vada pav, your mind instantly goes to a spicy crispy quickie potato snack. So a vada pav may look simple enough but hardly any place up north seemed to have cracked the perfect one for me. Until now that is.
Easily the best vada pav I've had in the north(till now). A perfectly done aloo patty at the core served with sweetened chillis and onions. Try one and you'd swear off McD. Seriously! Heck i just had one and crave another already.
To all the janta from mumbai.. If its vada pav you crave, look nowhere else.
This is my place to go and eat when i am in Ambience mall at Gurgaon and i am not wanting to eat non vegetarian food. The food is authentic Maharastran taste. The service is quick and the prices are reasonable. Most of the dishes that I have tried are delicious and eating here is a good break for Vegetarian food from North Indian cuisine. I like Thepla , matar poha , ragda patties here and during sumner time kokum lemonade is very refreshing. Its a small outlet located in the food court on the third floor of the mall.
When I and my old china entered the Food Court, we were quite double-minded about the food and where to place the order. After going through the menus of each spot, we finally ended up in front of Maharashtra Food ordering a plate of Pav Bhaji. Almost starving, we eagerly waited.
The food arrived, the first bite was Yummy! which was expected. But to prove that food was tasty, the last bite had to be tasty too when you are 99% full. And the meal proved to delicious and Flavoursome. I cannot say that it was a typical Maharashtran pav bhaji but it was a dish deserving kudos. :) :D
Iv tried sabudana vada, Sev puri n vada pau.. evryrthin was tasty!
My hubby is a Maharashtrian from Navi Mumbai and his biggest grouse is the lack of Marathi food options in Delhi NCR. He craves for the vada pao and pav bhaji and so Maharashtra Foods at Ambience Mall is god sent.
He generally has sabudana khichdi with kokam serbet and I love the thalipeeth.
Avoid the vada pao though. It is not half as good as the one in Mumbai.
Maharashtra Food - Ambience Mall (Gurgaon)
Those of you who are living in Gurgaon would have definitely been to Ambience Mall so many times. Even I keep visiting this place frequently and when I visit this place, atleast 4 hours are required to explore this massive complex.
The other day, I was lucky to get a basement parking as on previous couple of occasions, I had to walk a mile before parking my vehicle !
Maharashtra Food - Exotic !!
You will agree that though South Indian food is available in the North easily but to find Maharashtrian Food, it is difficult to get a restaurant which specializes in authentic Maharashtrian delicacies. Way back in mid 90's when I visited Mumbai for a few days, I freaked out on Puran Poli, Bhel Puri on the not so clean Juhu Beach, Batata Vada and Shrikhand.
This place - MAHARASHTRA FOOD is located in the Food Court of Ambience Mall and has so many Maharashtrian Delicacies that anyone from the Maharashtrian Belt living in Gurgaon will thank his/her stars for having such a wonderful outlet in Northern India.
I have had food at this outlet couple of times and I just loved the food here. The patata vada and shrikhand are just too good. So is the THEPLA which is a Maharashtrian Roti with besan as the main manufacturing ingredient. It is served with sabji of potato mashed thick curry which is spicy and hot. The sabji can be taken to be a chutney.
I would like to try other Maharashtrian food available here in times to come.
A good place to try some maharashtrian food if you haven't already or if you want to know, how exactly it tastes like.
The staple vada pao, dabeli are brilliant than I have eaten anywhere else. And the two chutneys with mirchi salad are must if you wanna pamper ur taste buds to the fullest.
I haven't tried other things here but given the consistent quality of these two I don't think you will be disappointed.
My all time favourite for Marathi dishes...
They have their original outlet at Dilli Haat INA from where I first tasted their delicacies and they make amazing modaks(laddoos) on order during Ganesh Chaturthi days!!!
Do try their Puranpoli and kokam soda :)
This is one of the best places for Maharashtra street food ( the next good is Dilli haat ) . There is a lot of variety and each is delicious . I particularly like the Vada Pao , Dabeli and Ragda Patty . They are yummy . The sabudana vada , Sabudana Khichdi is also decent . The pao bhaji pulav is average . The ones who love Maharashtra food should come here at least once . The next that i want to try is pooran poi.
I've tried only 2 things from the menu. Bhel Puri and Kanda Bhajia.
Both were pure street food recipes. Kanda bhajia is our famous pyaaz ke pakore. They made it fresh & crisp. It was hot, spicy and served with good amount of thick green chutni. The chatni had fresh aroma of both Pudina & Dhania (patent ingredients in green chatni). I liked it because they didn't use curd for a thicker consistency. I hate curd in the green chutnis. It ruins the flavour entirely. After quite a long time I tasted bhajia's made in hygienic environment and unburnt oil which relished my mood.
I have been a fan of Bhel puris from Jamshedpur's hawkers, but unfortunately, Delhi has an opposite preparationfor what they call it as bhel puri. If you really have an urge to snack on some authentic maharastrian & street flavored Bhel while you are at Ambience, don't shy away from giving it a shot. It will not disappoint you.
Over all a good outlet for snacks and street food items. Prices are genuine. Serving portions are just OK! Store availability is an issue as there is just 2 in the entire Delhi NCR.
The best vada pao in town, period .... You can try the Dhabeli as well when you are at it ....

Delicious food. Good place if you have craving to have Maharashtrian food in North India. Hygienic. Very economical. You get everything here from Batata vada to Puran poli. I have visited this place couple of time and the food tastes the same, quality is good. Must visit.
Food is very tasty and authentic at this restaurant. We had thalipeeth plate and it was really delicious. A must try maharastrian food outlet if you want to have good marathi vegeterian food. The outlet is a pure vegterian outlet amd is located in Ambience mall gurgaon's food court.
It was nice and tasty specially chat options
Authentic Maharashtrian food!
