Bangkok 1 is now Ban Thai but the food remains the draw for this hidden gem. The food is prepared by a Thai chef and is as authentic as it gets.... every dish we tried was great... from exotic pork Phad Nam Prik to run of the mill som tam, red curry or phad thai every dish sings authentic Thai and it's delicious. The setting is quaint and one can let their hair down. The staff are knowledgable and very helpful.... all-in-all a great dining experience!!!
Having lived in south east Asia for a Long time, I know what authentic Thai food is! This place is a gem, the food is as close to authentic as you can get sitting in a small shack in Phuket or Krabi. They have toned down the Thai Chili padi for Indian taste buds, so if you like yours to be "chillied up", let them know when you place your order. The pad Thai was good but not great, the tom kha ga was as authentic as I have had in Thailand, the pork with black pepper was great (though it might not go down well with folks who don't like fish sauce). The highlight of the meal for us was the stir fry prawn in egg curry sauce. Now this is a dish one only gets to Savour in the streets of Thailand, traditionally served with crab. I have never come across any restaurants that serves the Thai egg curry dish in north india. Just for that and getting the Flavours right I give this restaurant a 5 point! The ambience looked cosy enough but we went there to get food picked up, so can't say much about the service.
I had briefly gone there once and though I didn't have any food, I promised myself that I will come back. So, me and family were there for dinner tonight and it didn't disappoint one bit. The chef from Thailand came out to explain what some of the dishes were and he made us a special starter sampler (which was not even in the menu). We ordered the dishes (a rice, a noodle and a pork) and all of them were really well prepared, with clear flavours and nice aftertaste. The service was good, though I think the girls there were relatively new and didn't know what some of the dishes were. Most of all, my 3 year old daughter really enjoyed the place and the company she got there. Definitely a place worth every rupee.
The food is authentic, place is good for business discussion or having a date with your better half as you have a calm environment and open air seating.
So went to Bangkok 1 Thai Restro to have dinner with family. I really liked the ambience, its clam and cozy yet happening... they have both indoor and outdoor seating..
Good food, enjoyed every bit of our meal from the crab claw starter, the soap, the stir fry and the spicy fried rice. I must say portions are pretty decent and filling.
Pocket friendly price, good service.
We had a great time here.
I am going go back soon to try their other dishes as well.
You have good Thai and Chinese cuisine served here, if you visit this place you get positive feeling due to open air seating, you can customize your food, you can discuss with the chef and ask him to prepare the food the way you would like to have that makes you feel that you are having your food in home.
Bangkok 1, I would say is a hidden gem in Golf Course Road of course! This outlet was actually been discovered when I was just passing the lane and as I was hungry, I decided that instead I visit my friend, I shall call them up to this restaurant and we'll have lunch together. The only reason I called my friend is. because she love Thai food and stays nearby and she was not even aware about this outlet. So, it was a kind of a surprise for her.
THE AMBIANCE :
Bangkok 1 in golf course road is actually an open air restaurant with a limited seats to sit under the roof. Trust me, winters are the perfect time to be there as it simply turns beautiful in the evening and on top of that you're surrounded by grass and trees and great food! What else you need? An amazing part, you don't have to leave the table to smoke if you're one of them as you can smoke sitting on your chair as it's an open air facility.
THE FOOD :
Food, in one of the amazing part in Bangkok 1. I have gone through their entire menu and trust me, I saw so much alien names in the menu, I was really confused as what to order and what not to. While I was finding it very difficult to understand each and every dish, their chef came to me and asked me for help. I told him that I as a person hate lemon grass and Kaffir lime flavors on my plate so, I requested him to get few dishes accordingly on his own. Must say, once I told him about my dislike and whatever he brought for me he made sure that he was not serving Kaffir Lime or Lemon Grass. To which I was very impressed. There were many dishes that I really enjoyed but few of them like, Crab Claws, Sea Weed Chicken, Sea Food Salad & Momos are some must haves that I'd personally recommend you to have.
The eye catcher was the Hot Pot that they do at their restaurant. Its actually a kind of a Korean Style BBQ where at this kind of an awesome weather you can have an amazing pork, chicken, prawns & bacon been made sizzling hot right in front of you. This is something that makes this restaurant different from all the other places that I've ever been to.
Thus, this restaurant will be in my top list of must visit and would recommend all of you to be here atleast once if you're reading this.
My Final Rating : 5 On 5! Totally Perfect!

Bangkok 1 outlet has changed many names from Pablo earlier to Cress Courtyard and Now Bangkok 1...It surely comes under prime property this place
is now run by First time entrepreneurs Mr. Rahul and his team and Thai Chef who takes care of the entire kitchen and Food at this place...Located right besides Ocus Technopolis building, it has Indoor seating with AC while outside it has Al-fresco seating which will surely do amazing for the coming winters....It is surrounded by a lot of Greenery and Trees which is unlike many outlets in Gurgaon...It has open seating in the center which is again a plus point for this outlet....Serving Chinese, Japanese and Thai this place is well known for its Authentic Thai Food for sure...
HIGHLIGHTS
*.* HOT POT/STEAM POT which is like a Stainless Steel vessel placed over burning coal in the center with sides containing Broth and Top containing all kind of Meats which are smoked with this burning coal to give a Chargrilled flavour to the meats...
*.* Sea Food Salad,
*.* Wasabi Prawns,
*.* Coconut Water Jelly,
OTHER AMENITIES :
Ample Parking space outside which is Free makes it easier to come and park your car without any worries especially on the weekends...The outside area or the entrance is a bit on the average side but that easily compensates with the Open-ness feel of the inside...
STAFF/SERVICE/TEAM :
The Staff is Soft spoken, Nice and courteous but needs a bit of the training in some dishes as they seemed to get a little bit confused with the Names I dont blame them as it is a very tuff task to remember such names in Thai but I guess this is a short term problem only considering it is opened a Few Months ago only....
Team is nicely structured with 2 Managers, 5-6 Servers and other people so out and out they can easily solve all of your individual queries while serving and plating the food on your table be it inside or outside seating...
Kitchen Team headed by the Thai Chef is also structured well....Chef himself is involved in the Cooking from scratch thereby making the dish very Authentic and hence what comes to us on the table is unmatched almost any restaurant where I have had Thai Food in many months...Although Chef does not talk a lot in English but he does speak it and you will have a nice experience talking to him almost comical but please be patient :)!!
FOOD/GRUB AT BANGKOK 1:
The Food that was presented to me was IMPECCABLE THAI from Starters to Main Course it was a wholesome and flavorful experience with my mouth bursting with flavors in each bite and I am not kidding at all, I was so satisfied that I spoke to the Chef and actually praised him for such good food being served to me and the guests who came along with me...
*.* Sea Food Salad : A total mix of Spicy, Tangy & Refreshing to the palate the Sea Food Salad was the highlight for me....It was soo flavorful & contained all kinds of Greens- Salad Leaves, Garnish and Sea-Food/Meats like Prawns, Crab, Fish & last but not the least it had loads of Peanuts that add to the crunchiness of the salad making it really flavorful for me....I think it is a MUST HAVE when you visit Bangkok 1 anytime soon...
*.* Som Tum Salad : Resembling a Coleslaw and had small quantity Thai flavoring agents like Wasabi on the sides...it had bits of Raw papaya and other Thai herbs too...although I am not a ardent Veg fan but I like my Salads and Soups even if they are Veg....
*.* Tom Kha (Veg) : Out and out a Coconut Milk and Veggies soup with Thai herbs....being plated in a Bowl it is somewhat like a Meal in itself....I love when flavoring agents like Kafir Lime leaves are added to the soup, that wow your taste buds and make you enjoy your meal...I loved the consistency of the Soup which ideally according to me should be just on the thick side as this is not a very clear soup at all this is a semi thick one also filling your tummy...
*.* Wasabi Prawns : Jumbo prawns coated in a Wasabi dressing which had Bell pepper and Mayonnaise...Personally I loved the plating of the dish as well, as it had Green colour in the dish...the prawns were good quality and quantity and cooked to perfection along with the creamy and balanced dressing and pungent Wasabi it was also a MUST HAVE according to me....
*.* Prawns Spring Roll : It was essentially Filo sheets wrapped in Jumbo prawns and deep fried to get the crunchiness in our mouths....I also thought that the sheet was nicely made in-house or pre-made this was a highly thin and cracked up really well had no after taste and also deep fried to perfection not overdone or underdone at all...I personally liked this dish too and texture of the dish was my favourite...
*.* Chicken Dimsums : Steamed dimsums added to the already existing burst of flavors in my mouth....I liked it and since it was steamed its always a pleasure to have non-oily simple things like dimsums....
*.* Chicken Nori : Like a Sushi it was wrapped in whats called a Nori Sheet and was filled with mined meat, herbs and etc....Mild in taste but high on flavors was the one line description according to me for this item...I like such items in Starters as they add to the taste factor and are non-curried in nature...
*.* Crab Claws with Chicken : Unique dish in which they used actual Crab Claws with Chicken wrapped around it making it seem like one is having an actual crab claw...high on presentation I loved the mixture of the meat and it is something that can go very well with alcohol or drinks as finger food if I can say....Unique and well plated it could be tried for sure...
*.* Pork Ribs : Perfectly shaped Pork Ribs cooked to perfection and made with Red wine sauce added to the sweetness was a perfect blend of spicy and sweet....the meat was tender and coming off the bone really well...the flavor was nice and although to me Pork chops are not exactly Thai but I learnt that it is also served as a delicacy in those countries as well....Good Overall....
*.* Penang Chicken Curry : Super Tasty dish....well textured, well spiced, well made and thick texture made for the perfect blend of curries for me....Again made with Coconut base and Thai pastes this did well for me and our entire gang...chicken was in good quantity and boneless in nature and some veggies as well...I would recommend try other curries and not always Red and Green Thai curries and you never know you might like it...
*.* Crispy Sea Bass in Thai Herbs : Cooked with the whole Fish as a whole it had crispy fish (sea bass) was highly tasty and everyone enjoyed it more with the Sticky rice then anything else...
*.* Sticky Rice : Thai Food and Chinese always complement best flavors with Sticky rice somehow....I have heard it not from anyone but the local side outlets who always used to serve sticky rice so one day I asked and came the reply was that they have some of their own taste that adds to the richness of the dishes...I felt the same as well whatever I ate with Stick rice I could make a difference with the taste yet fill my tummy with some rice as well....
*.* Steamed Fish in Black Bean Sauce : The fish was nice and soft the black bean sauce was normal to avergae I did not like it that much the consistency was ...but it was nice nevertheless but I dont think I would recommend it to all but only to the Black bean sauce lovers...
*.* Glass/Flat Noodles : Good quality rightly cooked Glass noodles always adds to the taste of the dishes....they were soft, cooked to perfection and came along with some veggies as well...Flat and Glass both complement well with the
*.* Coconut Fried Rice : Anothier Hit amongst my friends was the Rice with Coconut flavor and could be had alone as it is or with a particular dish...people really loved mixing this with Penang curry somehow...
***** HOT POT*******
The Highlight of the Day was they served us a Hot Pot in a Steel container with Coal in the middle and Broth on the sides....it keeps the vessel warm and the Meats in the middle become chargrilled as there are perforations and Holes in the middle making the entire experience a combination of a Soup come Barbecue in the open....The best part is that you yourself make the meats by turning them as they are grilled and adding Raw eggs on the meats making them soft and the broth so that they become grilled with flavors....I loved the concept and I will go back again and again only for this Hot Pot I am sure of the same...I would RECOMMEND this as a MUST TRY for anyone who comes here....Try all the Meats, Crab, Fish, Prawns, Chicken and Calamari, Fish Balls etc...Trust me you will love it...
DESSERTS AT BANGKOK 1
*.* Coconut Water Jelly : Simple yet Elegant is the name of the dish according to me....it is a jelly based sweet which is wobbly in nature is made from Fresh Real coconut water and the best part is that it is not highly but aptly Sweet...I thin that although this is not in the Menu and the Chef gave us this for a Trial but we really loved and would recommend this to all !!
*.* Cakes : The Owner also has a Cake shop just outside in the same campus so he made us try small portion of his Cakes like Fresh Fruits and Chocolate Mousse...Both were very nice and recommended too...

Great place for Thai food lovers... must go place if you looking for change......@ lavish garden and cozy indoor and semi indoor.......... good luck
This place is just perfect for the chilly evenings where one can enjoy the cold weather along with some authentic thai delicacies. Talking about the location of this amazing place , you can find bangkok 1 on the golf course very near to the ocus technopolis building and it is opposite to the hdfc building. And after visiting this place , thai cuisine is now one of my favourites. Talking about the service and hospitality , service could have been a bit better for me but then if you are getting such delicacies I can skip the point. The whole staff is very courteous and welcoming. If you are planning to visit this amazing place which has an amazing open seating arrangement then do try the chicken nori , wasabi prawns , prawns spring rolls , chicken penang curry & steamed fish in black bean sauce. And not to forget if you are a salad lover then do try their sea food salad which is just soul satisfying for me. And their hot pot is a must must try. I am sure you wont regret after trying it.
Bangkok 1
I frankly did not like its location much..but once you step inside they have cue settings for outside seatings and inside with AC as well.
Also ince I am a vegetarian I didnt have many options here..!
Staff
They all are efficient and provide good hospitality.
Food
I tried their veg momos and corn tikkis
The momos were good but there could me more filling inside.
The tikkis were yummy crispy and flavourful but could be little less oily..
My verdict
Good place for the non vegetarians to try hot pot and other delights. A different place but good.
This is the place to be when you really crave some good and authentic Thai food. The place has a little indoor seating and a very huge outdoor seating. I visited the place for evening snack and drinks and tried. Went on to try Wasabi prawns, spring roll prawns, chicken nori and crab claws with chicken. This was my first time with Thai food and even though I am not very familiar with the cuisine but I loved what all I tried there.
I was a regular when Bangkok 1 was in Sainik Farms and I was ecstatic to learn that theyve opened up on Golf Course Road. What I love about the place is that they have an extensive menu and you'll have a hard time picking on what to eat. The outdoor seating is lovely especially during this weather.I ate the following -
1.Wasabi Prawns - Crispy tempura prawns with coleslaw and a fantastic flavor of wasabi. If you like wasabi, you should definately order this.
2.Som Tum Salad - Raw papaya juliennes with lemon juice, crushed peanuts and chilly. The salad tasted nice and tangy.
3.Prawn Spring roll - Crunchy and perfectly fried.
4. Penang curry - Creamy and spot on with its flavors. Eaten with steamed rice, this dish will blow your mind away.
Overall, the portions are huge and the prices are decent.
Located on the golf course road just opposite the hdfc building near ocus building , bangkok 1 is the ultimate place for having the thai food. So after trying some dishes from their menu which is very reasonable , I can say that this place is probably one of the best places in gurgaon to have the thai food which is more of an authentic one. And along with the food , the other main attraction here is the open seating which is perfect for winter evenings. Few days back when I was looking to eat something reasonable yet interesting , my search took me here. When I entered , I saw the open seating along with the perfectly matched lighting and many people were enjoying their food with their families. They also have a small area which is air conditioned. So you can choose the seating as per your convenience.
So while scrolling the menu , I ordered few dishes which were pretty decent in the presentation but those dishes were extremely delicious. I firstly had their wasabi prawns in which the prawns were amazing cooked and mixed well in the wasabi and it was literally a blast of flavors in my mouth. Next up was the prawns spring rolls. One thing which I really loved about this was the filling of glass noodles along with a prawn in each spring roll and sweet chilli sauce perfectly complimented the dish. My next dish was the chicken nori which was basically a fried chicken starter dish wrapped in sea weed and chicken was perfectly seasoned and well cooked. And then I saw something on another table and asked the server about the same and he told me that its a hotpot and then without wasting anymore time I ordered for a hot pot which was basically a pot placed on the coal and then one have to pour the vegetable broth , glass noodles and chinese lettuce in the pot and on the upper part of the pot , place the semi cooked sliced pork , chicken , prawns etc and wait for them to cook and once its done , dip in the broth and straight in the mouth. This hot pot is just perfect for the health conscious people who loves to eat the boiled or steamed meat. And then in the desserts , I ordered something which chef has suggested me. It was a coconut jelly based dessert which was mildly sweet and served chilled. So based on my overall experience , I just loved the hospitality & the food here and now , my love for the thai food has grown even more.
Bangkok1 is the new kid on the block offering authentic Thai Food. How can we say that's it s authentic? The master chef is from Thailand & is someone who loves to dance & make different & delicious Thai dishes.
AMBIANCE: It's a open place with well laid out lawn with chairs. There's an air-conditioned room as well featuring a karaoke setup. In the outdoor seating there are these private sitting places or huts with low hanging lamps. The place looks like away from hustle bustle of the city.
PARKING: Currently, you can park your vehicle on the service road just outside this place.
HYGIENE: The place has been kept well in terms of hygiene. The tables are properly laid out followed cutlery. The washrooms are clean which is rare at such a setup in Gurgaon.
SERVICE: You may face a slight challenge in communicating with the chef who's sweet. The servers are warm but slow in taking orders. Food here is made fresh & take its own sweet time to arrive on your table.
FOOD: I started with culinary journey here with SEAFOOD SALAD which was spicy, tangy & refreshing at the same time. The addition of peanuts added an enjoyable crunch to the salad. The plate looked appetizing & portion was good too.
Moving onto TOM KHA (VEG) is a coconut milk based soup with the goodness of assorted veggies & herbs. The soup arrives in a big bowl & is a meal in itself. The herbs like kaffir lime add a soothing touch to the soup. The flavours are fresh & do manage to tempt your taste buds.
> WASABI PRAWNS: This was one of the highlights of the evening. The plate was spot-on. The plate looked lovely & tempted me to just get started. The first bite was satisfying in terms of taste & texture. The prawn was well cooked & wasabi dressing was creamy & balanced. The slightly pungent wasabi & prawns came together really well in this appetizer.
> FLAT NOODLES: came with a bug portion size that would be sufficient for 3 people. The noodles were soft & cooked to perfection. The taste was lovely & can be enjoyed on their as well.
> STEAMED FISH WITH BLACK BEAN SAUCE: the fish was soft & moist. The flaky texture of the fish made it perfect. The flavours of black bean sauce were subtle but made their presence felt. I think the sauce could have been a little thicker in terms of consistency.
> CHICKEN PENANG CURRY: The creamy texture of this coconut based Thai gravy was lovely. Chicken was present in abundance & boneless chicken was soft. I wish there were more veggies to accompany to the chicken.
> DESSERT: Coconut jelly & assorted cakes made in-house took care of sweet taste buds. The coconut jelly deserves a special mention with the right consistency of the jelly topped with coconut based cream.
I am not new to this venue at all. It used to be Pablo till 2 years back and then Cress courtyard. Now it has been turned into a Thai cuisine restaurant, owned by a miner all his life Rahul but run by a highly talented Thai Chef and a team of Thai people.
The ambience is perfect for the winters and especially evenings as it's mostly an Al Fresco setting. Indoor seating is also available but I will always try and settle myself outside.
We visited as a group so could try many things at the same time. But a caveat to be honest I am highly allergen to Shell fish so could not try any Prawn, crab or similar shell fish preparation.
Whatever I had was really nice, like the strips of fried crispy chicken, Chicken mince wrapped in Nori sheet then deep fried ; very soft and flavorful. The Penang curry was authentic and nice with the sticky rice. Pork ribs in tangy sauce were juicy and well done.
The highlight at this place is the Hot Pot or steam pot as Thai people call it. It's a vessel placed over burning coals which has boiling broth in it with glass noodles and veggies etc. One can just pick a pice of thinly sliced meat of their choice like pork, prawns or chicken and place on the pot for 2 minutes then dip into the hot broth and eat it. It's real fun especially when you are with your family and friends.
Service is nice and people are cooperative. Prices are a little high but as per the ingredients and quality it suffices well with it.
Don't miss the coconut water jelly dessert at all.
I will be going back soonest for more of this stuff , shall keep you updated guys.
Finding a good Thai restaurant in Delhi NCR is a tough job, specially when you are looking for authentic Thai. Specially when it's Gurgaon you are left with hardly 1-2 options. A friend of mine spotted this restaurant while passing by and convinced me come that far for lunch.
Now about the restaurant. A simple yet elegant setup is what the place have, they have a huge open sitting which will be apt for the coming winters. They do have indoor sitting but max they can accommodate is 20 pax.
Coming to the food, while in conversation with the manager we came to know that they have a Chef from Thailand who is taking care of the food. No doubt their food is not indianised and very close to authentic Thai. So we started our meal with SEA FOOD SALAD which had a tangy flavour to it. Loaded with Prawns and some greens it was preety good. WASABI PRAWNS is a must order dish from their menu, Prawns coated with a dressing that had Wasabi, Bell Pepper and Mayonnaise. I love Prawns and I loved the dish to its core. PRAWN SPRING ROLLS were also good, jumbo Prawns rolled in a Filo sheet and deep fried. CHICKEN NORI a different dish for me, Minced chicken with some herbs is wrapped in a NORI sheet and deep fried. Do try their PORK RIBS as they are awesome, ribs perfectly cooked and tossed in red wine sauce. CHICKEN PENANG Curry with STICKY RICE a perfect combo meal. The Curry was mild in spices and went well with Rice. COCONUT FRIED RICE never had something like this the rice had coconut flavour and you can have it solo without any gravy dish.
The chef insisted us to try HOT POT as it is their specialty. So the setup is made to sit the pot of Broth on the table and bring it to boil, a strainer like vessel is put upside down in the hot pot. Now you put your fav meat or fish on the strainer and let it steam cook. It takes hardly 2-3 MTS for the meat or fish to cook and you can eat straight from the hot pot. It's just like BBQ but here food is cooked through steam. Something new and interesting.
Finally the desserts. As they have a bakery so freshly baked cakes were a choice but as I search for something different and new I opted for Coconut Jelly. Here the pulp of a tender Coconut and coconut water is turned into a jelly desserts. I simply loved it. Honestly I can have a bowl full of coconut jelly everyday.
So this Thai experience was good and traveling that far was worthed.

Spotted a new place on Golf course Road on my way back home and decided to give it a look. What with open air seating and fairy light on trees it seemed like a great option to stop in for food with the perfect winter weather.
The ambiance is similar to that of a BYOB with little covered spots around the sides and an open seating in the centre. They have a huge garden sprawled around them so the touch of greenery is certainly refreshing.
The portion sizes of the dishes is good and so is the service. The chef came out to the table to greet us and we got to know that she is originally from Thailand and has come to share her passion for food in India.
Get Set Gobble:
~ Starters - We had the wasabi prawns (even though they were cooked well, I have a slight problem with wasabi itself), chicken nori (that were an interesting preparation), chicken dimsums (we had the steamed version) and prawn spring rolls (crunchy delight).
~ Hot pot - This certainly was the highlight of the meal with a large metal pot being placed on the table. We filled wit with broth and got fresh fish, prawn and chicken to cook on it. It was like a mini Thai barbecue. Fun!
~ Mains - Crispy sea bass in Thai herbs and Steamed fish in black bean sauce were good options with tender cooked fish. The crispy bass was cooked on the bone and served as a whole fish. My favourite would have to be the Chicken penang curry with coconut fried rice. It made for a lovely combination!
~ Desserts - We also got a chance to sample some cakes from the owner who has a bakery on the side. My friends did try the coconut jelly but it wasn't for me.
When it comes to good and close to authentic thai food the struggle was long in Gurgaon city. But not anymore .
Bangkok 1 is one such stop for thai food delicacies , not 100% authentic as it would actually be difficult for indian pallette to gulp that stuff down, but very close to authentic.
The chef from Thailand only , has done amazing job at curating the Menu.
Taste wise the dishes we had were very unique and totally different from what we get at other places on the name of thai food.
Service : Things are not so good in this Dept. Its slow and need a real push to make thing work.
Yes its in teething stage , so management needs to Buck up and take matters little seriously considering that food has lots of potential but poor service can be night mare for hard-working chef.
Ambiance also needs a work , Though it gives a nice feel of places like BYOB.
So, if you love thai food then this is it man. You won't regret eating at this Place. Just ignore service . It would gradually improve over the time or by the time you are reading this.
A nice outdoor space decked out for the festivities ahead with mellow mood lighting in the evenings - with the chilly nip finally in the air, it is heart warming to sit in the outside area with a steaming hot pot of meats brewing.
The do-it-your-self angle bringing forth equal portions of mirth and disaster, with everyone having a roaring good time. The Tangy Seafood Salad is a a perfect compliment to the subtly flavoured hot pot as well.
Looking forward to indulging in more going forward - especially finding out the name of the spice that so closely represents the wasabi flavouring in the Thai spice array. Here's to hanging out over some gorgeous food this coming winters.

One of the main problems one faces when eating Thai cuisine in India is the experimentation they do with the original dishes to try and create an Indianized version. In the process, there is nothing 'authentically Thai' left about the dish and even the basic elements like lemon grass are not present in most of the dishes. Bangkok 1 comes as a breath of fresh air in such an environment
Located right beside the Ocus Towers in a lush sprawling lawn area resembling a party plot, the restaurant offers Chinese, Japanese as well as Thai cuisine i.e. a wholistic Pan Asian combination. The ambiance of the place is amazing and it looks even better once the night settles in. They have a separate stage area that they can lease out for parties.
The service here is amazing and the manager was very kind to come and talk to us and assure that special care will be taken to serve only those meats that we eat. The chef is from Thailand himself and has amazing knowledge about what the cuisines entail and what he needs to cook. There were also other staff from Thailand, who constantly come to meet you and help you by addressing your queries about the food and other things. In the food, we tried:
STARTERS
◉ Wasabi Prawns
◉ Spring Roll Prawns
◉ Chicken Nori
◉ Crab Claws with Chicken
My favorite amongst them has to be the Chicken Nori. I also liked the Crab Claws with Chicken.
SALAD
◉ Som Tum (Veg/Non Veg)
◉ Sea Food Salad
There was Sea Food Salad too. Delicious chunks of sea food ingredients like crab, prawns, fish served with salad leaves and garnish. The taste was excellent and the sea food was so succulent and juicy, I loved it. For the vegetarians, there was the Som Tum, which was pretty much like Coleslaw except it had exotic Thai flavorings like Wasabi in small quantities.
◉ HIGHLIGHT : The highlight of the evening however was the HOTPOT (Chicken/Prawns/Sea Food etc) that they set up. It was a quaint little setup with a boiling hotpot set over two bricks. The entire process of heating the hotpot, pouring the egg yolk in the water and adding the veggies and meats to cook and then eating what we cooked, was in itself exciting for me!! I loved the entire thing!
MAIN COURSE
◉ Crispy Sea Bass in Thai Herb
◉ Pork Ribs (Chinese Red Wine)
◉ Penang Curry (Chicken/Prawns)
◉ Steamed Fish with Black Bean Sauce
◉ Glass Noodles (Suki Thaki)
◉ Flat Noodles (Suki Thaki)
◉ Coconut Fried Rice
For me, the favorite was a tough choice here, for as much as I loved the luscious Pork Ribs for their juicy tender pieces filled with Chinese Red Wine sauce, I also admired the Penang Chicken Curry with Coconut Fried Rice. The noodles here was amazing too. Overall, the main course was a perfect continuation to the Hot Pot process.
DESSERTS
◉ Coconut Jelly
◉ Ice Cream
I loved the Coconut Jelly Ice cream, so much so that I even forgot to take a picture of it while I kept hogging on it.
I love the ambiance and the atmosphere of the place more than anything else and the food totally compliments the charm it builds since the beginning itself. The place is perfect for a romantic date or to host a large gathering/party.
Kudos to the management team and my best wishes for their future endeavors!!
Though a lot of Thai places are popping up in Delhi NCR but thus is one of the most authentic I have been to in recent times. Located on the golf course road in sector 54 and not that difficult to locate being on the main road. Talking about the place, it is beautiful and spacious too. Consisting of a good open area as well a private dining room.
The place has a lot of variety to offer with wide ranges of authentic Thai dishes made by an excellent chef specially called from Thailand itself.
To start with, the best starter was the norm chicken which was just delicious made with nori sheets and seaweed. It is a must try at this place. Other starters which were good are the prawn starters and the crab claws with chicken.
The highlight of the evening was the hotpot. It is kind of self service thing where you cook your own meat. In the main course, the pork ribs were excellent and juicy. Another dish which I relished was steamed fish with black bean sauce.
In the dessert, the coconut jelly was good enough to entice the taste buds.
The service and staff were excellent and kudos to the owners of the place.
Lots of places in Delhi NCR are opening up that offer Oriental cuisine however very few of those are the authentic non-indianised food joints. One of those is this new kid in town - Bangkok 1 ! Located in the heart of gurgaon, the golf course road , Bangkok 1 offers a beautiful environment and experience along with authentic Thai food cooked by renowned Chef from Thailand.
The menu is extensive. Lots to offer!
We tried the Nori chicken, which was super awesome! My favourite starter has to be Nori chicken.
We also tried the Sea food salad which looked rich with a variety of different ingredients like crab, prawns, fish.
Among vegetarian dishes, the salad was the best. It appeared similar to coleslaw but tasted exotic with Thai flavours like Wasabi and ginger.
They do a really good hot pot. Must try if you're looking for something different!
The mains are amazing as well. I loved the penang curry with coconut rice.
My favourite was the desserts! Coconut jelly which is made with fresh coconuts.
Highly recommended!
Went with friends to bangkok1 on golf course road. Well i must say road name should be changed thai course road!! I never tried thai food, always thought to try indian or chinese food if goin out, i now realize i was so wrong. Thai food is delicious.
I first ordered mojito which was so refreshing!! Followed with prawns and then soup.
Main course was great. Pork, glass noodles and tea pot (for heating mutton, fish and other non veg items) was epic!!!
The ambience was good, the place was open and lighting system was awesome!!
The bar system was great and i had ultra drinks!!
What makes thai food different is the fact that all non veg thai items were good in taste and healthy.
Even after completing my dinner,i didnt felt heavy. That's what make thai food special. It was great!!
So if u r plaaning to out and try something different, try bangkok thai food located at thai course road!!!
Excellent ambient and beautiful place with Delicious food. Keep it up. Overall a good place to hang out with friends and family. Would like to host my guest next time .
Discovered this really nice place on Golf Course Road. Missed it the first time. But am glad i stopped to look around for it. A great change from the regular indian / chinese cuisine. Its like a hidden gem. Walk in through large wooden doors to be surprised by a beautific green outdoor romantically lit place. When inside we choose to sit in @one of the small coves. From starters to main course we enjoyed some sumptuous and surprisingly authentic thai food. So if you're on or around golf course, i strongly recommend you try this place. Try Som Tum salad, Pad Thai Noodles and Nampric.
