Rumi's Kitchen is where we experienced cooking as an art from the heart. Super food, but not just the food. We were planning a home party and hence searching for a suitable caterer. Literally an angel - Anupama - recommended Rumi's Kitchen. The whole experience of meeting Rathhin Mathhur, getting to know him and his passion for cooking, planning the menu and arrangements - was such a delightful experience. He put us completely at ease right through.
Every dish was delicious - both the Veg & the Non-Veg. My personal preferences were the Hmmmutton Biryani, Chicken Korma and the fantastic Hmmmmutton B-Rogan Josh!!! The flavours were original & exotic. We could not ask for more. We are eagerly awaiting the next experience. :-)
Have done several office lunches from Rumi's Kitchen and the food has always been consistently delicious. There innovative dishes like Hmmm mutton and Gurkha langar etc are not available any where and are a must try.

Ordered in bulk for a New Years party. They gave great suggestions on what to order. The rolls finished by the end of the night. We did Galaouti rolls and Hara Bhara Kebab rolls. The Dal was to die for! As was the Ulta Tawa Ka paratha. Highly recommend this place!
Ordered the mutton biryani for delivery. It was delicious and much better than the biryani I’ve ordered from other places. Will make this my go-to biryani from now on.
Food's very nice. I especially loved their preparation of Hmmmutton which I can best describe as pulled mutton.
However, there's a certain sweetness in the taste which is completely inexplicable. They need to look into this. If they make the necessary changes then this item would easily classify as my most favorite mutton item.
Excellent food by Rumi's kitchen hats off to the team, I ordered Ramadan platter which includes Haleem, biryani, galavat kebab and raita.
Kebabs were flavorful and well textured which is very important in galavat kebab.
Biryani was truly old Delhi style, nutmeg and cardamom made the flavour impeccable.
Haleem was nicely cooked, mutton fibers and wheat were perfectly beaten to form gruel.

We have had hummutton many times before - it continues to be super tasty - have with chapatis and pyaaz! We tried their nihari for the first time at a friend's house. It was delicious. Very tasty with generous portions of meat pieces. Definitely ordering again before it is out of season

I visited Rumi's Kitchen's latest outlet in Baani's Square, Gurgaon. They don't have a Zomato page for that one yet, hence writing the review here.
I had the privilege of being the Baani Square outlet's first ever customer. I ordered the Gurkha Langar Chicken with parantha and the Hmmmutton. They unfortunately gave me rice in spite of my order being with parantha. My first impression was disappointment since I was expecting better quantity for the price, but then when I tried their food, I realised how great their ingredients are. Their chicken curry tastes exactly like how chicken curry should taste and their mutton was marinated beautifully!
All in all, I highly recommend this place. In addition to my recommendation, I will say this- Rumi's kitchen's chicken curry is one of the best I've ever had. The minus one in the rating is because they gave me rice instead of parantha. I was really looking forward to the parantha :(

I am feeling like someone delivered this chicken from my home. This is the exact same taste & gravy fully spicy & juicy chicken pieces specially #chikniboti.
I have ordered #gurkhalangarchicken from this place & believe me from now on i am not gonna order chicken from any other restaurant atleast in delhi-gurgaon.
I really can't believe i have got this order from a restaurant cause my brother love to cook exact same chicken curry at home, exact same.
Then i tried #muttonnihari which was actually out of the league cause it was neither tasty nor look like nihari actually it was something else but not nihari.

Like many others my Love affair with Rumi started at Jashn-e-Rekhta... I knew the name from 2017, but back then it was just a crush... The HummmmMutton was the topic of gossip around the stall but then my eyes fell on the Haleem... From Pista House to Old Hyderabad... I had been trying Haleem at every place the moment I had the chance to do so... But no where in Delhi NCR, without the Ramzaan season could I lay my hands on to a yummy Haleem preparation.... Rumi's kitchen has put that search to an end!!!! Thank you guys the taste and aroma is just amazing!!!
On my recent visit to Delhi, i tried Rumi's counter at Major Dhyanchand Stadium while attending Jashne Rekhta,
I tried their Hummoton, mashed mutton served with Pao, it was like a Non Veg Bhaji Pao, i really liked it.
Other items on the menu were quite attractive too.
Winters of Delhi and Hmmmutton Pao, very apt selected spices. Properly cooked. Ufffff I wish I could explain how delicious it was! If you are someone who belongs to the hills you gotta try it this winter. #Lot'soflove
I had a galuti kebab with Paratha it was just yum so yum parathas was so soft inspite of cold weather. Mouth watering kebab soft plus full of taste. It was just melt in my mouth. Plate full of happiness.
I had the chance to try the food from this restaurant at jashn e rekhta. I had gulaoti kebabs , tawa paratha and tawa chicken tikka masala. Everything was lip smacking. Kebabs really soft and full of flavour. Chicken tikka very soft

A special mention to their Chicken Biryani. It was something different than the regular biryani, im forgetting the exact name but had layers of gosht and Keema. Also tried their galouti with parantha which tasted superb.
I heard from people around the stall that they are known for their Haleem, which I haven't tried but would love to soon.
We had their taste of their food at the Durga Puja Stall at DLF phase 1 awesome food, next day we did a Takesway from there ordered, Haleem, hummutton pao and Galouti parantha! It was wonderful Ghosh Somali Pranab Ghosh Ankita Ghosh all of us enjoyed!
Loved the non veg platter that came with biriyani, Harlem and kababs. I loved the biriyani and haleem too was good. Totally worth the experience for the money paid. This is a pocket friendly place with limited choices but totally yumm. Check other portals for home delivery.

the hummutton is super delicious....the mutton is tender and full of flavors...its like pulled mutton...the galuti kebabs were decent as well ...the mutton nihari was also nice even though it had too much oil....the hummutton was the star of the show....

Had their hmmutton pao at grub fest 2018. It’s literally mutton in a pao. The mutton is well cooked and delicious but I found the dish to be a ltitle overpriced.

The food truck came to our building. Tried the hmmmutton pao, biryani and gahlawat. All good, specially the pao. Will definitely be ordering again.
One place where you will just never go wrong with whatever you order. I just love the food and wait for the days when my cook does not show up...so i can order from them. Go for it you will not regret it.

That Hmmmmutton is seriously Hmmm. Some of the best mutton ever. Pulls away softer than even pulled Pork. Served with Pao. Excellent.
The other thing I tried was the Mutton Keema Biryani. It had tons of Keema AND 3 very meaty pieces of superb cooked mutton. Also some of the best biryani ever.

Fantastically prepared mutton. Well cooked and containing the right amount of spices & chili. And the combo with their pao is a nice idea.
The chicken curry too is nicely done with the chicken being well done.
A scrumptious offering from them and a great way to get it done through a good truck.
Tried their Mughlai parantha and Kebab.Taste was good a little expensive if you compare with the quantity.

We have Rumi's counter for home delivery in our condominium. Our order for full tandoori chicken, galouti kebab and ulte tawe ka parantha was delivered efficiently, and tasted quite ok, though softness of galouti was not there in the kebab and size could have been bit bigger. Not a bad option if you don't feel like stepping out.
Heard a lot about rumi's and thought of trying their biryani at one of the food festivals, as I am a hard core biryani fan, and bad biryani can easily turn Me off, but this wasnt that. Served with thin Mayo, biryani tasted absolutely amazing. Chicken piece was good and cooked well. Would love to visit this place for more varieties.

I love the food. It seems a lot of effort and care has gone into each recipe and Rathin takes out the time to ideate and arrive at the best menu and dishes even when it is for only 4 people. Hmmmmmutton was too good and I guess, they've never looked back since. Wish I lived in Gurgaon and not Delhi so that I could have ordered more!
I have always ordered online and liked everything they delivered. They have a very selected small menu but it's just right for the taste buds. It's very close to homemade food. If it's chicken, then should be from Rumi's kitchen!!
Good home style chicken. Gurkha chicken. Achha hai. The roti which came with the chicken was different. Maide ki roti thi, that was a put off. But I think one of that meal is enough!

Ordered biryani for lunch and we had a stampede in the office. The food was superb. The delivery was super quick and ordering on Zamato is a pleasure. Keep up the great work Rathin.
Recently we had our Diwali mela in the condo complex and Discovered Rumi's kitchen stall put up there . The owner himself grilling the meats on a Tawa and the fragrances were enticing and the food on tawa looked cooked to perfection . I decided to try their food and discovered one of the best mutton making joints in gurgaon . Their "hmmmm mutton " - yes that's what they call it is a slow cooked ( 8hours ) Boneless prep that was high on flavours and melt in mouth .. I also tried the the galouti and chapli kebab which were really thin and flat pieces of mutton that dissolved in the mouth . The best part was the passion that the owner displayed , cooking the food and serving himself with love and passion visible in his eyes and it reflected in the food quality .This is a meat ( no chicken ) lovers paradise and urge all to try out for themselves .

I had the chance to try Rumi's Kitchen several times by now because when I am in Gurgaon, visiting some friends, they keep ordering from this place for its quality. At the last gathering, I could taste different dishes but I did not take any photographs because my phone had no battery but next time I'll certainly make some. So, I asked my friend who ordered for us the names of the dishes because evreything was so delicious that i think it's worth mentioning all of them.
On the table there was: mutton Kakori kabab, Burrah kabab, chicken kebab ghilafi, pepper paneer tikka and aloo ka tikka. I must say usually I do not prefer mutton because I'm not fond of it but the one at Rumi's, however, this is one of the few that makes me lick my fingers. I have not eaten the paneer because I'm allergic but my friends said it was amazing too. But my favorite was the potato: never eat potatoes so succulent, melting in the mouth in an explosion of flavors.
I think it's a good choice in Gurgaon for take away. Seeing is believing!
Someone asked me what is the main ingredient for a good Biryani... I thought and I thought. Is it Basmati, could it be the perfect cut of mutton, does the secret lie in the masala and then I finally got it... it's passion. Passion for creating that perfect blend. THANK YOU RUMI.
I am a biryani lover and have tried biryanis in a lot of food joints, but this is one place that I found which matches my love for biryani, delivery time is less as compared to other places, biryani is excellent, amazing combination of flavours and the meat is really really fresh. Another product that I love is the Galawati kebab and this is to die for, it just melts in your mouth. Some of the other products that I have tried and are equally excellent are Hmmmutton, Nahari and Brogan josh, so if you are hungry and craving for some Mouth watering food just call Rumi's Kitchen and they will serve you the best.
Loved the HmmMutton and the Gorkha Langar Chicken. I am not a great mutton fan but when I tried HmmMutton, i just loved it and recommended to all my friends. Perfectly cooked and awesome taste . A must try if you are a foodie.
Yet another place I found in Gurgaon , I am not much of writer the food from this place is just mind blowing u just want more from them I have alway ordered and loved the veg biryani and the gunpowder chicken !! I will be back for more and definitely try the other items in the menus the chef knows his job is really good at it !!
Have only had the biryani for now but I actually found the flavours closest to what I have eaten in Lucknow. The chicken was moist and tender and not dry as it normally tends to be in takeaway biryani's. The only problem was the amount of oil used. Need to try the others items on the menu now..
This place started off with just Biryani n galoti kabab (with ulte tawe ka paratha) on their menu. Both dishes are mouth watering. Very nicely cooked long rice with mild spices nicely spread throughout (most places make biryani like fried rice) and tender pieces of juice chicjen/mutton. Some newly introduced dishes like langar chiken meal n Railway mutton are pretty good too. All in all, the go to place for awadhi cuisine :)
Have tried the chicken biryani and mutton biryani on a number of occasions. Perfection personified. Love how it's a wonderful mix of light spices, well-cooked meat and flavoured rice.
This is a delight, the integrity of the food taste is well preserved and taken well care of. Amazing pricing only a bit spicy maybe but fulfilling indeed.

Always been there hmmmutton fan but tasted the Mutton Rogan Josh and Gunpowder chicken last evening and was the yummiest meal I had in a long time. The chicken was juicy and full of flavour and the Mutton Rogan Josh masala was very different unlike the usual MRJ. Soft succulent pieces of mutton melting in your mouth. keep it up guys !
Hmmmutton to Gorkha Langar to Gunpowder , it's difficult to decide what sits on the top. Rumi Kitchen is by far the best place in town for order-in. I just love everything they create. Coming from a finicky foodie says a lot. Guys keep it up. Thanks for your energy.
The biryani and the kebabs and the signature dish Hmmmm mutton provided to me on 6 different occasions has been excellent - a fact supported by my guests. Reading some of the negative reviews I am amazed at some of them - either the reviewers haven't actually eaten the food or they're not conversant with the cuisine.
Sooper Indian food with a unique and personal touch. A must do ! Highly recommended. The hmm mutton dish is the one to go for and also the chicken langar curry. Cheers to the chef !
Our most favorite biriyani place. The countless times we ordered ' Biriyani' here, they didn't disappoint us even for once. A little bit pricey compared to other biriyani places. They have three different levels for spiciness- mild, medium and hot. I wouldn't recommend the hot one unless you are a hardcore fan of spices.
So this place serves good biryani but what makes it my favorite place is that this place serves GUNPOWDER CHICKEN!!! Service and pricing are the icing on the cake. Great on both parameters. The food is delicious and portions are good too! Must must try- gunpowder chicken with paratha.

Hmmm Mutton. No I'm not pondering or contemplating goat meat. That is what one of the star offerings is called. I'm told that it's made by an IT professional who wasn't a professional chef. He just used to make it for his friends. The popularity of this dish grew and as its fame spread, he started getting orders to make it for parties. So one would have to buy the meat and deliver it to him and he'd give you the prepared dish. Then the demand grew even more, so he retails it out of Rumi's kitchen. It comes with 2 nice parathas as a meal in itself.
So how good is this dish, really? Wellll, it's OK. I'll give it that. Nicely spiced and the mutton was tender. But the excess seasoning just overpowered everything else. If only the salt had been more judiciously put....
The gilaouti kebab here was terrific. REALLY good. The star of the meal however was the chicken biryani. Light and perfectly cooked rice with tasty chicken that was tender. Yeah, the chicken could have cooked just about half a tad longer, but that is me being a little nit picky. Suffice it to say that the lunch was a satisfying affair. Now a soft bed in a cool room beckons for a light nap. Okay, not so light on the nap front!
Ordered in veg and chicken biryani very sceptically as most of the new outlets have very strong kevda essence..to my surprise the biryani had absolute mild flavour...perfectly cooked chicken and veggies...an absolute must have in case you are in mood for some biryani!!
I ordered the ChickenBiryanni and ChickenShammi Kebab. Liked both the taste and flavors..typically Awadhi(which I assumed was similar to the taste of Cal food of the type). Shammi Kebab yes,Biryanni no. Loved that the food was not oily and well I would eat it again.
I am a self-diagnosed Biryani freak. And It is indeed tough to please me with a Biryani .. But this is one place I have found that delivers a very very good biryani - and consistently so. It is a no frills, no nonsense biryani that is balanced in its flavouring and the meat used is of the best quality.
Rumi's also make a kick-ass Galawati kebab that it to kill for (I never die for food - it prevents me from having more of it).
If you are in Gurgaon - and you are feeling hungry, pick up the phone and dial in the best! Go for it!

Ordered from there on last Sunday because of the gazillion flyers I had received from here and their meal boxes along with the names given to them excited me..Given I was the only one at home, ordered -
Chicken Quorma - Aromatic gravy, just the right amount of spice, perfectly cooked chicken..It wasn't exactly what you would get in Old Delhi, but it was pretty close..! But without doubt, after Qureshi's, this is only the second place that I've encountered in Gurgaon that can whip up good meat gravies.
Galawati Kebab - Soft, delicate, perfectly spiced..though could've used a little more time on the tawa..! But nonetheless, it was pretty good..!
All in all, pretty amazing food..looking forward to trying their Biryani and the hmmm mutton..!
Read good reviews about it hence placed an order using food panda. We ordered mutton biryani and soya galauti kebab with paranthas. Food was up to the mark, very light , less oily and fresh. It's just that it was cold when delivered but we heated it up.

Nice flavorful biryani. Nicely balanced with no exaggerated spices. The mutton was succulent and it was quite nicely blended with the rice. The only gripe I had if at all was that the quantity could be better. Good stuff and recommended.
Paratha Kebab lovers, here's the real deal! The Shami Kebabs and Ulta Tawa ke Parathe are very well prepared and they are mostly hot and fresh when they arrive.
The packaging is neat and convenient and you can eat it on the go and don't need any additional crockery.

We ordered-in Mutton Biriyani and Galouti kebabs. The Galouti was definitely nice; but given that we are from Kolkata and used to rich biriyani with large chunks of potato, this biriyani did not live up to its expectation.
Also, they took more than hour to deliver, which was somewhat of a dampener.
One of The best place in Gurgaon to savor a biryani and what better time than when u are hungry enough to eat a horse!!

Had one of the best biryani 's today which was ordered from here. Mutton biryani is truly splendid as it's not dry and at the same time not oily either,yet there seems to be a wonderful envelop of flavours which makes it a satisfying and complete meal in itself. Not to forget, the Galaawati Kebabs are just what you'd expect from a quality place-perfectly beaten meat that melts in your mouth !
Great food! Their biryani was a pleasant departure from the nonsense they serve as briyani in North India....thankfully conspicuous by absence were:
1. Dahi in any form
2. Gravy in any form
3. Visibly abundant fried onion
Ordered mutton biryani and chicken quorma on 15 May. The delivery was at promised hour and the food was flavourful and enjoyable. The meat pieces was well cooked and melted in the mouth. The chicken was spicy and hot.
The only thing that needs to improve is the delivery time!
Otherwise, the food is really good.

Coming from Kolkata, I am pretty biased towards the Awadhi influence on Biriyanis. And, although I had some good, decent Hyderabadi Biriyanis in Gurgaon, my search for a very good Awadhi Biriyani was still on. Now it has truly ended in Rumi's Kitchen! It is so flavorful, just the right amount of spices (spiciness), moist enough, and the perfectly fluffed long grained rice. I ordered once, then twice, and still crave for it again and again. Have tried chicken and mutton, and both times the meat was sufficient, tender and delish!
Along with the biriyani, the chef's personalized attention is what makes this place quite a favorite for me. I contacted Rathiin Mathur for his Hmmmutton delicacies and that led me to his Rumi's kitchen!
Oh! Even their phirni is pretty good, it is creamy, has coconut mixed in it, which makes it even better for the Bong in me :-).
Can't wait to order more and more of biriyani, and find an excuse for biriyani every day :-D
We coincidently ended up ordering from rumi's kitchen...we don't regret it after having a taste of their wonderful biryani and roganjosh. It's a favorite at all of my house parties. Surprisingly quick delivery for all that mugalai and absolutely friendly too...keep up the good work

I'm completely in love with the Rumi's Biryani. The quality of the ingredients is obviously very good as the flavours come right through when you open the pack. I also found it reasonably well priced. I do hope they come to Delhi soon.
