Food and experience was good at wokbox !! Loved the concept and the final quality of dish/food. Do try the different types of noodles and herbs they offer.
Also the management is a bit slow at times but very helpful and sweet. IV been there 4 times till date and have had wonderful Asian cuisine experience :)
Good place if you are looking for chinese food, i had noodles and tom yum soup which was good in taste, service was nice and price is also pocket friendly..
Good place for Chinese food. Menu is limited but serves all needs I guess. I ordered a veg talumein which was well made and was nice. Kids ordered WoxBoxes and the portions were big and spicy. We were warned about the spice level for sauces we were choosing so no fault of theirs!! Inspite of spice level, kids enjoyed the food. They ordered chicken dishes and quantity of chicken was disappointing. The seating areas are nicely done but quite cramped, which is another reason why I won’t rate them 5. Though we were the only ones upstairs but the low ceilings have a claustrophobic effect. Service was prompt and good though would have appreciated if the servers had advised us on portion levels!! Would surely be going back and would order better 😜
Had one of the best noodles here. Was just a random try. I love the concept of this place for choosing your own style noodles. So I had flat noodles with chicken , mushroom, baby corn , broccoli, black bean sauce. And it was amazing. Good quantity and pocket friendly.
Nice cosy place with courteous staff. Interesting box concept where you make your own meal. The chef was a also very helpful preparing something which was child friendly. Definately Recommended.
It has the best chinese in baani square. We ordered crispy lamb which was awesome. We had our own combo made- one with schezwan sauce & other with oyster chilly garlic. The schezwan sauce was ok but noodles in oyster chilly sauce topped with crispy onion were very nice. Its a great place for chinese.
Amazing asian food.. great service.. felt like a boutique restaurant in the middle of causeway bay Hong Kong.. its an Asian cuisine haven.. its my favourite family neighbourhood restaurant now..
Stumbled upon this place and give it 5 stars really good tasty Chinese food!
Ordered chicken wings crispy, juicy and tender- along with sweet corn soup... everything so fresh! Service was very courteous and friendly. must try once .
Ambience- very nice and cozy.
Staff- courteous and smiling.
Menu- Nice mix of main course and starters.Different and attractive
Walking down Baani square, Thought to stop by this nice restaurant.Although I noticed it many a times but somehow was not able to taste the food. This time it was impulsive and just got into the restaurant.
Nice spread of the menu.
Ordered chilly chicken and Wok Box.Asked to make it spicy.
Got it packed and went home.Packaging was really nice.
Once I opened the food, it was warm and with the texture it was looking nice.Oyster chilli sauce was spilling its magic on the wok.Good food.
Odon noodles with schezwan and Hakka nobles with teriyaki were both excellent. Highly recommend, great flavours and packaging too. Wish they would deliver as well.
Recommended for a quick tasty bite.
Food:
Food is good. Helpings are sufficient, sometimes more than enough for a person depending on your appetite.
The variety of food is what attracts you. And that is given full justice by the restaurant. The dishes are a classy example of chinese, thai etc.
Service:
We saw just one waiter, who seemed new at his job, but that didn't prove to be a problem as we were the only customers on a Sunday afternoon.
Ambience:
Though small in size, the restaurant has done best to give one a wholesome experience of dining out. The walls are decorated well creating a good look. Though one wouldn't notice it much with food as the highlight.
What we ordered: Green lean, Hakka, Thai and Burmese Gold box. The sauce makes all the difference. You can choose your sauce and add ons to make your own box or in a suggested box. Came out to be Rs 750/- for two.
Their soup and dimsums are to die for. Great quantities and taste. Well priced as well. The chef cooks with a lot of affection it seems! One of the best Chinese places in Baani Square!
A small restaurant where you can customise your noodle bowl. Restaurant enlists various kind of noodles which I haven't seen in any similar restaurant.
Good food and quick service are one of few reasons to revisit this restaurant.
Seating area is small but pleasent.
How could I forget to review this one.
The interiors at first look cosy and classy. It's a perfect place to go out on a date and a really good place if you wanna meet over a meal and just have a conversation.
Coming to the food, I tried Pan Seared Chicken and Basil Momos and I would highly recommend everyone to try there Chicken Tukpa Soup. I guess that was the best soup I have tasted ever. 5 stars, to the service and the for the ambience as well.
Absolutely love the flavours they create..
It has a lovely ambience and a very polite staff.
We ordered Thupka & talumein soup which was amazing. In main course, We had Hakka noddles in Burmese curry with roasted 🥜 peanuts and PoK Choi shiitake mushroom in teriyaki sauce which is brilliant.Service was Quit prompt.
Thumbs up 👍 Wokbox....
Amazing food!!!!!!
Very cozy and decent place hidden in Baani
Decently priced
For people who know food should definately Visit
Crazyyyy
Possitive Aura and great Meal made my night
Thanks WokBox!!!!!
Super awesome noodles, I went there for the first time and customized our own box of noodles.
Udon Noodles with lots of veggies topped with roasted peanuts and crispy onion.
Another one was Burmese gold, coconut based curry and it was simply mouth watering.
They have utilized the small area wonderfully with nice seating.
Very very tasty noodles. We tried two sauces oyester chilly and Coconut. Both of the dishes were super yummm. Must try. Will go again. Very sweet and friendly staff Aarti
I am soo in awe of this place. It is such a cute and cozy store spread over 2 floors in Baani square, sector 50, Gurgaon. I liked the first floor comparatively more since they had very comfy couches . Its a perfect place to go out on a date and a really good place if you wanna meet over a meal and just have conversation.
I can't name a thing I didn't love about this place. The staff is very humble . And their menu reads be your own chef, soo basically you can chose among their noodles and the toppings or veggies you want with it. We had hakka noodles with oyester chilli/garlic sauce, it had the craziest tangiest taste. Definitely worth a try.
Next up, we had curry dimsums, yummy momos dipped in their tangy sauce. Again worth a try.
Spring rolls - I was soo surprised to had these, like spring rolls could realy taste that good? But they were really good. Very crispy and the filling was pretty good too.
Definitely worth a visit!
Superb food, very very good quality and great taste, great for Asian Food lovers.
Customisation options are great and staff is very sweet.
-1 for speed of service, took 40 minutes to get the order.
Overall, a must visit !
Went there with a friend..its a small yet cool place to have some amazing Chinese food.
Make your own box concept is quite good n they really make it good
Ordered some gravy dimsums n they were really amazing.
Good ambience
Good service
Vfm.
Tried wok box for the first time, absolutely loved the taste of the sauces and the quick preparation, nicely done restaurant, though I believe it's slightly over priced for a take away, we paid ₹400!for this box.
Will definitely try more variants in the future.
Niharika Bhargava
The place serve delicious Chinese food
With beautifully prepared food among with dim sums were the best thing I have tasted their Sui mai and pok choi mushroom were something unique that's I have tasted their
The staff was good and the ambience was very beautiful
😋😋love the food
For me it was Cute little eatery with warm and cosy interiors and courteous staff. We ordered chicken and coriander dumplings which were tasty with food portion size. For mains we ordered their 2 boxes, one with pad Thai and chicken and the other was prawns with sticky rice, bamboo mushrooms and schezwan sauce which was a tad bit spicy and I ended up eating only half of it trading it for the other non spicy box Chicken and noodle box.Nevertheless considering their price and portion size I was extremely satisfied.
Nice food. Hakka noodles recipe with chicken and chilli sauce was awesome. Soba noodle with lamb and schezwan sauce was a bit spicy but was good altogether.
We were looking out for Burmese Curry nearby the place we live and luckily came across Wokbox. Quite impressed by the food in such a tiny area it operates on. All the dishes tried were of authentic flavours and the drinks were excellent too.
Its a cute and cozy place to hang around with friends. Good value for money.
Discovered this tiny gem in Baani Sq during a quick night stroll around. So happy that we walked in for the first meal some months back! Have been going back so often, ever since. WokBox has curated a simple menu which has the essentials of a great oriental menu and each dish hits the right spot. I would've dined there about 8-10 times now and not a single visit has been disappointing. Never gorged on vegetarian Dimsums the way I do here. My picks :
1. The Curry Dimsums
2. The basic chicken coriander Dimsums
3. Pad Thai
4. Any curry off the main course!
Try going for the build your own meal and you'll walk out with a happy heart, and a happier tummy!
PS : I've been waiting to order online for delivery - please have that up and running soon!
I have visited wokbox a couple of time, usually order dumplings , crispy lamb and the wok box
This time we had ordered dumplings, mojito, crispy lamb, chilly chicken, sticky rice and noodles.
The crispy lamb was a little disappointing as was a little rubbery and hard, rest of the food was great!
Must try is the dumplings and wok box with your customised choice of vegetables, sauce and protein.
Great appetisers and amazing dim sums. The sea food dim sums are too good.
I rate it so high as it's a great meal for your buck. The quantity, quality and service you get for about ₹450/person is unreal.
Baani Square has some of the coziest places to eat in Gurugram, and Wokbox is one of them. The service is quick, the taste is delicious, the interiors are cool--just the right ingredients for a casual chillout with a friend or a quick, satisfying stir-fried meal on the way home. I especially recommend flat noodles with teriyaki sauce, bokchoy, and mushrooms.
loved the ambience, friendly staff, the best chinese food that i've had so far... can't comment on the other cuisines coz i so love their chinese that i never tried anything else... the food is so fresh... just love this place 👌
As we were in a hunt to try Chinese in Baani square, due to Saturday evening we didn't get place in many of the joints. When we asked here luckily we got good space.
These are all tiny joints with place for 3-4 families.
We ordered honey chili potatoes, chilly chicken, dimsum, spring rolls, chicken fried rice and veg noodles. Loved the chili chicken it was really done well.
Staff is courteous and service is good.
If you really want to enjoy proper Indian Chinese it's a great place to have it.
But definitely not higher side on your pocket.
Okay, here is another review after a slew of visits to a couple of restaurants in the last few days. On one of our regular hunter-devour forays into the food jungle, we landed back at Baani Square. It has indeed changed since we last lived at Nirvana.
It has graduated to quite a micro-mini Cyber Hub, what with all the choice of food that exists around a micro foodie areal that once upon a time was a dead-end 'Giani's Ice Cream only' place.
While hunting for a good place, we came to this tiny alcove-like restaurant called ‘WokBox’. Strangely we entered and passed the kitchen counter and found ourselves in a typical Chinese, Hong Kong or even a Taiwanese alley that would normally exist between two buildings.
The Wok Box has all the trappings of a far-east alley-way eatery but without the stench that you normally find in those countries. So- in short; décor… very subtle and cute, pleasant atmosphere, very efficient manager, polite and friendly, hi-tech ordering of your box via a food-tablet, the owners are food import specialists, so you can be sure that the ingredients are top notch.
Now to the food! Fresh, perfect and unadulterated in taste, odour and colour. I have never tasted a Pad Thai Gai in any so called Thainese restaurant in India that had the distinct flavours of the lime and peanuts on the rice noodles… at that price.
Creating the box was fun and really good. The price for a meal for two, with starters, mains and the beverages was really reasonable.
Great experience, great food and a really pleasant surprise, after a very long time. Do not be misled by the overall rating. More footfalls would contribute to a genuine experience.
I usually gauge my food-jaunts into the following categories and then note them based on a maximum of 5.0 points:
1. Ambience [decor, acoustic and overall eye-worthiness] 4.0
2. Menu Choice and Variety 4.0
3. Staff Friendliness 4.0
4. Hygiene 4.0 [no unpleasant odours]
5. Value for Money 4.5
6. Portion size 4.5
7. Parking 4.5 [Not a problem, though not to be attributed to the promoters of the restaurant]
8. Taste 4.5
9. Music 3.0 [could not hear it very well, or just did not register the music]
10. Feel-good high on leaving 4.5
Personal note: I have been asked as to why I never put up pictures. Frankly, I do not believe in them. A frozen slice of time never justifies the 'here and now', which is why one goes to eat and enjoy. Make your own opinions on presentation, taste and experience and be happy with it.. :)
Lovely food and excellent service - Ritesh is one of the best managers I have met in any restaurant - he goes that extra mile to help you out with the combos you want to create , and displays amazing patience . The food is fantastic and extremely fresh ... would want to visit again !
Loved it...great concept of picking noodles, sauces, toppings, meat, spice levels etc yourself to make the dish to your liking. Most importantly, the taste was awesome! Cozy little place for pocket friendly Asian cuisine. Will go back for sure. They can add some more meats to give it an even more authentic oriental feel such as duck and pork.
A good place to have customized food. Tried soups and a wok box. Fresh ingredients and quite flavorful. Looking forward to try something new next time. Nice cosy place with friendly staff.
Had a pretty good experience. Pretty and cozy ambience, amazing staff and great food. Man chow soup here is definitely a must have. Also, while ordering 'build your own box' noodles, make sure to order 1 box for two, because the quantity is really high. If you've tried Burma Burma at Cybercity and loved it, it's actually pretty similar food-wise but much cheaper.
4 stars just because of the area but food is great, service is great and the inside is clean. chilled not packed during lunch either! Good place for food. definitely coming back
A wonderful place for a hearty meal. The flavors were rich and each curry had a distinctive taste. Apart from the excellent flavors, the service was pleasant and good. the pricing is good too for the quality of the food. overall a great place.
This is a nice cozy place on the ground floor of Baani square, one of the newest ones actually. The concept is basically picking the combination of SE Asian ingredients to make your own meal that will be made in the open kitchen by the chef. It's quite interesting but not sure how successful it will be. I liked it over all and will suggest it to anyone whose is the mood for some good Orental cuisine.
We've been here several times and WokBox doesn't get old.
That's down to the build-your-own-meal concept they have. Choose your rice/noodles, your vegetables, protein, sauce, toppings and spice level... and you get a meal customised to your taste. Good ingredients, large portions and excellent value for money.
I'd also recommend the stir friend greens and curry dimsum. The former is as tasty as greens can get. The latter is a flavorful take on the humble dumpling.
You won't be disappointed here. We haven't been in nearly a dozen visits.
A brilliant place for brilliant fresh food ...a great ambience ..you must try the teriyaki sauce its awesome. The Curry dimsum is out of this world
The food is really good. I went in with fairly moderate expectations but was pleasantly surprised by the food which is delicious and the staff who are very courteous.
This small place has become my new favourite Chinese outlet . I loved the crispy fish , shredded lamb ,soup and their Spicy Sea Food dimsum . Must Try
its a small cozy place on the ground floor in the baani square market...the kitchen is a small open kitchen..it was may be too dimly lit for me....we started off with a hearty clear chicken soup which was quite nice....the staff suggested the curry dim sums...they did not look appetizing at first but tasted nice....
in the main course they have a different concept wherein you have to pick and choose all the ingredients....i chose rice with chicken and egg in oyster chilli garlic sauce with green bell peppers and mushrooms as the additional vegetables....it was spot on....
A good place to dine in for oriental cuisine. I liked their "you are the chef" concept. Tick and pick your meal.
I ordered chickens dimsums. 5/5
Noodles with veggies in Thai green curry 4/5. ( 4 just because they had to keep the curry thick so that it doesn't get separated in the plate cz of their concept).
Ambience 5/5
Staff/Service 5/5
Value for Money 5/5
We've come to really like this place and become regulars. The staff is very accommodating and let's you customise dishes to your taste.
We like to eat low carb. They are able to make great mixed greens with chicken without any starch like rice or noodles. We love that. My dad likes their Tom yuk soup as well.
Nice place.
Pleasantly surprised with the tiny lil place inside Baani Square. Very beautifully decorated, cozy place which serves good food with the help of exceptionally polite staff! Don't think anyone needs anything better! 👍🏻
Ordered rice with thai red curry, tofu and brocolli with fried garlic, and a veg rice chef's bowl. The quantity they serve is quite sufficient.
Very cute interiors which is what drew us in this restaurant. Ordered veg dumplings, crispy veg salt and pepper and a meal box. Veg dumplings were good but the filling could've been cooked further. Crispy veg was very good and the meal box was fulfilling. Service is pretty good too. All in all, will definitely visit this place again and try other things as well.
After above visit, I've further been to this place couple of times now and it has been near perfect since then. Will definitely visit further.
We happened to come across this place in Baani Square and decided to give it a shot.
The place was pretty cozy & nicely done.
We skipped starters and jumped straight to the main course. The food was quite good and they served huge portions. I liked the bowl with soba noodles and wokin hot sauce. Will definitely visit this place again.
Small restaurant with a simple innovative menu and style. Let me start with the decor which makes for a great casual place to head to for a small group. Menu and ordering style - you choose each ingredient in your dish guaranteed to make you happy. The portions are large, the service is nice. Loved the fact that they had chopsticks for the dimsums. We tried noodles and brown rice, both of which were done really well. Pricing is perfect and so is the location. Thanks for a good time.
Creating your own dish from the many options is the usp of the place. You can either use the tablet or mark your selections on the paper they provide. The staff also suggests what can or cannot go together. Four of us created our four different dishes and they all turned out good.
Good concept good food and good ambience and friendly staff . Food very similar to monk . Loved it and a must try .........................................
The Wokbox, literally a small cute place like a box. Beautifully done, cute furniture's, good service.
Food: I ordered fish with rice and some mix vegetables on my dish. Check out the menu and you will see how interesting it's is. Definitely you should try it. In love with the place and the food is out of the world !!
Another Chinese place to be explored in Bani Square. This place is a pretty little place with lot of small artefacts:)
Started with the Talumein soup, chicken and Thai basil dimsum and Wok Tossed Oriental greens, loved all of them, they come on generous helpings. Main course we're Hakka chicken bowl and Make your box, while the main course was good as well, we found it extremely hot, but nevertheless it was flavoursome.
Brownie point to this place for being paperless:)
So this place is the GO TO place at the happening Bani square market. Should you be keen that the food tastes just as per your liking, then this is the place for you. Yes you can play around with the mixers for your food and relish it to the taste that best suits your tongue. Its quick in service with the most friendly smart on the desk hosts. The place is very well done up to the liking of youngsters and also attracts elders to it by giving them a fresh and young ambience with bright comfortable colors and handpicked interiors. The Udon noodles are the pick of choice with dimsums dipped in a mouth watering gravy. New and interesting and definitely super at the wallet as well. The owners are them selves are passionately involved in making sure each guest gets the right attention and the service that makes sure you do a repeat visit.
Just had a super delicious meal at this little Asian place in Baani Square. If you live anywhere around, do check it out.
It really surprises me when a really good place with great service doesn't have a lot of busy tables.
We had super delish sautéed veggies, dimsum, and a few things off their make your own wok box. Loved everything!
Such places are rare, went for my birthday dinner; it was a pleasant experience. To start off, the soups were amazingly tasty with elegant serving and polite, intelligent waiter; Then the main course was even better we tried burmese currey with flat noodles, soba noodles and plain Chinese Haka noodles, all were super tasty and not pricey at all. I could choose the veggies, protein and any other seasoning which I wanted and this made it really customized. Would have loved to have beer served as well, but that was not to be, hope they add it too. All in all keep up the good work.. look forward to be there soon!
Interesting concept, great serving size. Personally love customization.
The staff was courteous and quick.
There was enough meat in the dishes (rare!).
No hassle experience, tasted good.
I had a pleasant dining experience with food of the most exquisite flavours.
Loved the interiors of the place. It was very quirky and vibrant. Fell in love with the ambience each time.
The staff is courteous and the owners themselves are involved in all the activities. The dimsums are moist and tasty with amazing dips,'A MUST TRY'. The sauces I have tasted are all lovely, lip smacking curries & noodles. Would give 5+ stars for their freshly made preprations.Customer centricity was amazing too.
Small and cozy restaurant in Baani square. The staff is courteous and it's a good concept of custom made dishes. The dish comes as a bowl meal and the portion size is good. We tried green thai curry with prawns and vegetables in Black Bean sauce with noodles. Value for money.
So wokbox is a completely new concept for the Delhi NCR market .
You can mix n match whatever u like.
Loved the curry dimsums , so addictive couldnt stop before 2 portions.
Really good ambience , great food ....loved everybit of it .
Super place . Must visit ....
This place is a refreshing change from other Asian restaurants. You can customize your meal to the extent of choosing ur sauce, noodle, protein, veggies and toppings. Even the starters are not just the usual dimsums and chilli paneer instead one should try their curry dimsums and crispy lotus stem. Not to forget the lovely inviting decor and hostess!
Good ambience...good interiors. Visited on a rainy day. Ordered for chicken dimsums and chicken lemon coriander soup. Dimsums were too hot to handle n juicy. The soup was good too but not that hot what you prefer in a rainy weather. Shall be trying again surely. Good luck
Located in bani square sector 50 Gurgaon, food served by them is absolutely delicious and generous
Must try : Dimsums, chicken fried rice .
Located at backside of Baani Square market, the place is one among soooo many restaurants there.
Loved the interiors of these place. It was very quirky and vibrant. The place is small in size and can seat some 10-15 people max.
We ordered a manchow soup to try there and a box of noodles as a take away. The soup was yummy and made us more hungry. The take away noodles were delicious as well.
Coming to the menu, they have step by step kind of menu which offers some limited choice. The day I went their drinks guy wasnt there, so could try the shakes they had to offer.
It's a good place, The staff is very friendly, specially the manager. The food is a bit pricey and I feel they can work on their costing to attract more people.
Writing this review while we wait for our cheque so you can well imagine how excited my meal got me!
Marvelous curried dimsums & a tight meal in a box concept:). Proves that you don't need an elaborate menu to hit a six in the culinary field!
Super stuff wokbox!!
Its a tastefully done up place with amazing Chinese food. These days where everyone is a cook and like to tell the restaurant people how they want their food to be made this place is the need of the hour. The staff is courteous and the owners themselves are involved in all the everyday activities. Their sauces are very good and you get to chose them as per your taste. The dimsums are moist and tasty with amazing dips. the menu size is small but everything is fine dine quality at reasonable price. Suggestion: they should start with dessert and drinks too.
great ambience....yummy food...lovely interiors...i really like the how the facade is designed in black and turquoise.....will visit soon again....:)
Ashoka Chandra Wardhan
+4.5
Been here two times, and fell in love with the ambience each time. Loved the flat and udon noodles, not so much soba. The sauces I have tasted are all lovely, they being wokin hot, Burmese curry and hakka chilli garlic. The thing I love is the option to add peanuts, that is pretty rare to find in pre-prepared dishes. Crispy lotus stem however was okay, have had better.
The food presentation needs to be improved however, it looked like somebody mixed up everything.
Simply awesome and lip smacking! Best part i create my own dish with the ingredients i love.
Food is simply lip smacking and fresh. Decor certainly adds on to the complete experience ..
Would give 5+ stars for their service.
Thanks wok box for tickling my taste buds!
Great food . Good ambience and wonderful hostess . The menu was simple and taste of the food was amazing . The soups and dimsums were lip smacking
So finally we have good competition for Chinese cuisine for big wong and speedy chow and for now a winner when it comes to freshness and taste of food. Ordered noodles and rice, both with hakka sauce (one mild one spicy) with chicken and crispy onions and roasted peanuts as toppings respectively. The highlight however were the curry dimsums which lured me to this restaurant in the first place (coz I like what big wong offers). These guys have curry dimsums a few notches better more so cause of the generous curry and the fantastic taste(my 7 yr old daughter gobbled down a few too). Doesn't have too many drinks choices though. Nice ambience (though the mezzanine floor has low tables which aren't the most comfortable) and great courteous staff which kept us informed of the status of the food. I like the flexibility of choosing what I want in my bowl. The menu is not finalized - but what's on offer is really great. They have set the bar really high for the rest and for themselves to keep up now.
Loved the concept and ambience of the place ! The service was quick and the staff was very courteous as well. The food was delicious had chilly chicken and flat noodles ,crispy honey fish ,lemonade . Loved it all!!
