Well totally newer experience trying authentic bengali food here. The addition of batata (aloo) to every dish was just a bit too much for me. Yet the taste, the spices made me enjoy it all. Its a cosy place with a highly courteous staff. Must try. A definite 4/5.
The dhalai pulao is exceptional
This place is awesome. I love the food specially Doi rui with Bengali paratha. The staff is very polite and hospitable. Have visited many times and love the prompt service of Mr. Sagar who always suggests the best dish to eat. Excellent, keep it up!
Authentic Bengali restaurant.......nice ambience and courteous staff, awesome food and complete value for money, wish to visit it again.
Awesome taste, true bengali food...staff behavior was also too good...enjoyed a lot...we had mutton kasha, luchi basket and polao, it tasted heaven
Being a Bong , my dad loves typical Bong cuisines so decided to surprise him by visiting this place. Very neat and tidy cozy place with Bengali songs playing in the background to add to the ambience. The staff is very polite and courteous. We ordered Bhapa Ilish, Mutton curry and Kosha Dim. My dad simply loved the Ilish preparation as it was well cooked and mild spicy. The mutton and egg dishes were also good but a bit spicy ( I forgot to inform the staff about the same) but the moment we were done with the food , the taste buds were back to normal and didn’t linger on. Overall a good experience as the prices were also moderate. Will recommend this place to bengali food lovers!!
Cheers !!
We ordered fish kabiraji, luchi, mangsho kosha and nolen gur r icecream. Every dish was exactly how it is supposed to be. After a sudden craving for luchi mangsho, this place was exactly what we needed. Sagar did a fabulous job of making sure we were comfortable. The smile on his face and his courtesy made our visit even better.
Last week when in Gurgaon we were carving for Bengali cuisine for home delivery and searching online found this place which was close to our home.
We ordered Mutton Kaberaji,Mutton Biryani, veg pulao,Mutton Kassa,Chicken curry, fish in mustard gravy,Lachcha paratha and bengali paratha.
It took around 50 min to deliver, among the item we ordered, biryani, mutton kassa, chicken curry was excellent, rest all were also ok.Price were little on higher side wrt portion size, overall a good experience of Bengali Cuisine.
Their ogo bedeshino is best. Moved by the service of Mr. Sagar. The passion in which he served us and made sure all our culinary needs are taken care of is really praise worthy
The way Sagar Sarkar takes personal care of each customer is amazing! He is an awesome guy!
The place serves Bengali and North Indian food . This place is located in sector 49. We went to this restaurant on my friend's party and the experience was really good. The interior view is amazing. Food was tasty and presentation also good.We had Fish finger, Daab chingari, Chicken Kasa. Food quantity and presentation was good. All of these items were delicious and we really enjoyed a lot. The service of their staff are very friendly.
Authentic Bengali food, good taste and great service by Sagar. Would recommend to visit Banani's Kitchen and try Mustard Rohu Fish and Mutton Curry.
Very good service from Sagar
Well travelled 50 Km to eat the food. They definitely make sure to make the visit a worthwhile experience. Make sure to meet Sagar , he made it feel like I am eating at my friend's place.

Awesooooomeee!!!That's what I can say. This place has good ambience, service is great and obviously the food! Each and every item has a seperate taste. The fish which we ordered "rui kalia" and "pabda" were so fresh. If you are in a quest for fingerlicking bengali food..yes banani's kitchen is the place.
Great food and service. would recommend for authentic Bengali food. my fav was nolen Gur ice cream and shukto.
Sagar was serving us great service.
Very nice bengali food, feeling like home, server Sagar is very nice & polite with me, Manager Anjan is always helpful. Thank you all for your great services..... ☺️☺️
The food was awesome..had an awesome service even .. had a great homely lunch... thanks..will recommend banani's kitchen highly...one should try the kabiraji..it was really very good in taste
We absolutely love this place. The ambience emulates the old world charm of Kolkata and perfect for a dine-in. They absolutely nail the flavours almost everytime we've ordered from here. Their food is really, really tasty. It's almost customary for us to order their Kosha Maangsho and plain rice which is mind-blowing.
The only complaint would be that the portion of food doesn't justify the price. We ordered chicken cutlet from their menu. It literally was two tiny slivers of chicken breast with four pieces of chunky cut fries (see picture). But will that stop me from going to this place again? No! What they lack in terms of portion size, they compensate with their flavours. But I probably wouldn't order chicken cutlet again and rather go for Mughlai Paratha.
A special shout out to Sagar, our server for the night, who was very polite, warm and had the most welcoming smile ever.
Very much satisfied with the 'Bengali Ambience'. Good music. Good staff. Good Food. Definitely worth a second visit. Cost could be a little pocket friendly though. Thank you.
My wife and myself decided to visit Banani's Kitchen for our Sunday Lunch 11/8/19. We had luchi (Puri), Mutton Kosha, Pabda Ban Roast and Dhakai Mutton Pulao. Mutton Kasha & Luchi (Puri) were very delicious and tasted so bengali :). Pabda Ban Roast was a first time for me, this was in thick spicy gravy of coriander/spinach and few other items which i don't remember now. The only item that left me desired for more was the Dhakai Mutton Polao. All in all a great experience and would recommend people for sure.
The ambience is somewhat close to a typical North Kolkata restaurant. Hygiene can be one thing that Banani's Kitchen should work on and maintain cleanliness in the restaurant.
Been here for many times. Food is awesome. Try ethnic Bengali dishes like doi rui, dhakai pulao, luchi basket, mustard bhetki paturi, hilsa. Also don't forget to order khatta Mitha lassi/ Gondhoraj lime juice. The vibes of Bengal with wall paintings, melodious cultural songs will mesmerize you.
Excellent food at excellent price lovely atmosphere and loving staff .... Mutton kaisha and Puri (luchi ) is excellent and tasty...try dal and rice ...mutton chop and fish finger is aswm in taste....
Good ambience, slow on service but amazing food, authentic Bengali food. Fish kaviraji was brilliant, limited menu but was a good experience. :)
One of the best place to have authentic Bengali food.... The foods were very good & too much delicious...we ordered for Mutton kosha which was awesome... & The Doi Potol gave a final touch which was mouth melting.... Loved the place .... ❤️🔥
Best place in Gurgaon to eat authentic Bangali dishes. Just go there and you will never be disappointed. Bengali melodies in the background make it a never forgetting experience. Also the staff here is very courteous and helpful.
Amazing job is servicing delicious food, must have ordered now on 10+ occasion and every time we have enjoyed quality/yummy food....Your team is so consistent with quality of food, every dish is jam packed with flavours.. Chef, take a bow from food lover.
Food: Amazing non-vegetarian food! A little oily but Overall delicious food. 4/5
Ambience: colourful paintings on the wall gives a good vibe. Bengali music. 3.5/5
Service: 3.5/5
I am a proud self assigned brand ambassador for banani's kitchen! Whenever someone asks me about good homely bengali food, I always suggest them this place. And for anyone reading this review, if you happen to like/love or want to try honest, delicious bengali food, please do try this one out. They have a lot of options of both veg (bengalis do love their simple veg dishes as much as they love meat and fish) and non veg : from different fishes, chicken to prawn and mutton. I have tried multiple dishes across multiple visits. Not once has any dish been ever disappointing in taste. So saying it once more : for honest, delicious and homely bengali food, do try banani's out. They have gold on food too!! And if you are lucky (because a lot of times they don't have it due to supply issue), please do try their nolen gur icecream🤤🤤🤤. It's just awesome. 😍😍 Also don't miss the gondhoraj shorbet. ❤️❤️
The waiters are very courteous and you'll hear bengali songs always playing in the background when you'll visit here. You will leave with a happy and satisfied stomach and mind from banani's.
Ordered Banani’s moti polao and pyara peara today. The taste was heavenly and still I can feel it in my mouth. I have never tasted Pyara Peara before, it was tangy, sweet & spicy and full of guava flavour. Awesome taste and service. 5 star from my side.
Been here multiple times...authentic Bengali cuisine. My favourites include, Mutton Kosha, Luchi, fish finger, Paturi Mach, Payasam, among others.
Amazing! It is a cute little place with amazing ambience! The pyara peara had me at its first sip. The Alok bhaja, chicken kosha and basket of luchis were well prepared and filling. Alok posto and daal were okayish. I had a memorable time with a my friends. Definitely try their mocktails as they are not to miss. Costed moderately, so shouldn't feel heavy on the pocket.
Scrumptious food on a reasonable budget. Really nice ambience, warm staff and one of the more authentic Bengali cuisine experience in Gurgaon.
Though had to wait for sometime on bengali new year but the amazing good made my day, it was a home away from home experience with sorsa hilsa and kosha mutton.
It was an awesome food experience. The food was authentic. Starters as well as main course was delicious. Mughlai paratha could have been better but was complete value for money. They could have joined the table so that more than 5 people could sit comfortably
This is a cute little place with really sumptuous food. Loved their mutton and fish fry. Not overrated like all other Bengali joints yet good food.
Best bengali food in gurgaon area. Had traditional luchi chholar daal, aaloo dum, mutton kosha. It was great! All of it. Just wish they had some decent combos with portion size fit for a single serving...to offer as well, so that i could try out more options in single visit.
A friend of mine recommended this place & trust me this was the best part of the day. A small, calm place with bengali music in the background will convince you that you are not in Gurgaon.
I tried their trademark kolkata biryani & a fish item called Bhetki Paturi suggested by the staff their. The dish is made with mustard oil & wrapped in a leaf which holds the aroma. The food will take you to a different world.
The qty could have been more but i used zomato gold so no issues there.
Must visit place..
Dishes tried: Fish Kabiraji, Kolkata Style Chicken Biryani, Ogo Bideshini (chicken in yoghurt based white gravy with cashew paste and coconut milk)
Quality: The Kabiraji could have been better, the biryani was slightly different from Arsalan (my definition of Kolkata biryani) but not bad by any means, and Ogo Bideshini was a known, yet well-cooked entity
Ambience: Very Bangali, with its decor and artifacts; they have a good playlist ranging from Anjan to Bhoomi
Service: Good
Pocket Pinch: Quite cheap (with a Zomato Gold membership)
Verdict: One of the best places for Bengali food in NCR. They should increase their dessert spread though, especially for the sweet-loving Bengali.
Well the food was good, we loved the pulao, chicken curry , also dum but the baingan bharta was disappointing.
However from desserts we loved the kheer more than the rasagulla !
Great place .. Amazing food! Loved every bit of it.We tried mutton kasha with luchi, dal and bhetki paturi (fish wrapped in banana leaf). The food has and authentic taste to it.
Must say - well done Banani.
Loved your food.Feels like home.
Love you guys.
Too good n testy bengali food.. . You must try the fish and their popular dhakai style pulao. The starters are pretty great too..coming back for more.
Really a fantastic experience...food was real good and quantity was also worth the money.bengali food at it's very best..would love to reorder soon and enjoy the bengali cuisine again..keep it up
Food is tasty and good portion quantity. It will be great if restaurant adds few more options in Bengali food. I felt it’s little bit costlier as compared to other Bengali restaurants around here, otherwise it’s good place food wise.
Beware people for whom the commercialised places like Oh Calcutta in Delhi or Gurgaon seems to be the epitome of taste when we are talking about the Bengali cuisine .
This place is small , cute and the food is like a nuclear bomb in your mouth . When you just thought that uhh what kind of place is this with this slow bengali music and people seemingly so laid back . You are presented with an arsenal of variating tastes on the plate and mind you , you wouldnt be able to walk easily after the blast in your mouth .
Things that blew holes in my face right away
1. Mangsher Pulao ( Hell Yes , hell yes )
2. Chorchori .
3. All kinds of fish preparations .
Whatever you would order would be just too crazy to even compare it with anything around NCR . Mind you this is something really amazing !!
This is a hidden gem in Gurgaon! I just had an amazing meal here, food tasted great, meat was well cooked, breads were soft, the staff was very polite and helpful. This is now one of my favourite places in the city. Highly recommend their Banani Ban Mutton!
Being a bong, couldn't resist the temptation to try this joint. Went with another bong ex-colleague. We just tried different veg items there. Tak dal and aloo bhaja I really enjoyed. But can't say same for mocha and another item (forgot the name). Overall my comment regarding their food is average. But what I liked is the atmosphere they created. With Bengali song playing at background and good location, it is a perfect place to enjoy your meal with friends. Hope to visit them again for non veg dishes.
A bit cramped for space, this is more a take away or home delivery joint than a restaurant but the food does great service to its claim of being an authentic Bengali food destination. The service is quick and prompt and the ambience is quite homely. Even as a vegetarian, I have visited this place multiple times and liked the experience.
Have been to this place couple of times, it’s probably the best place for Bengali food in Gurgaon. Almost every dish of theirs has a different flavour and they have good quantity.
Was here today for the lunch. All the dishes we ordered were very well prepared. Loved the food here. I'll definitely visit again and recommend this place to others.
Super awesome food....Very very homely. I have ordered begun bharta and ruti....super. last time i ordered aloo dum. That was good as well. Kudos to your cook....daaaarun....Phaaataaaa phaaaaati
4star given only because there must be always a craz for something better.
1. Ambience - yes in a small area they had decorated beautifully mixed with pujo flavour.
2. Food - the most important part ....
Firstly we ordered luchi with kosha mangsho it's a 4 PC's luchi which is a perfect fulko luchi but kosha mangsho gravy missing one flavour which is sweetness from brown onion ...meat is tender ...gravy is well balanced with spiciness ...some slight improvement can be done .
Second ..we ordered dimer devil - truely speaking they haven't compromised in any anything Keema outer layer not too thick not thin ..taste really must try and yes their homemade kasundi it's like WOW so strong mild acidic it really kicks off it's not any bottle product as bottle one taste something different even bijoli grills kasundi will fail (as per name )
Third we ordered macher kalia with steam rice-- which is no doubt very good as we all know we Bengali have sweet teeth and little bit of sweetness in gravy gives a perfect balance of all flavour and aroma fish PC's is also big no cost cutting policy done.....I really liked the dish.
Steam rice portion in my opinion bit less but ok in a FDR type chain this can be expected keep ball in their court..
Forth we ordered bhetki macher pathuri- presentation wise ok.....packets well prepared inside which soft PC's of bhetki coated with mild flavour musturdy thick gravy.one thing fish lack bit more juiceness it's not dry but yes little more juiceness can be worked out though I know they keep in fridge portion wise which impact tenderness of fish.
Fifth one is out of menu -- tomato chutney they served as a compliment by our server as he thought this might be liked by my daughter and yes she liked it...,😄👍
Durga pujo special dinner can't end without any sweet dish so the last ordered food item was soft Rasogolla. It was really soft not chewy medium sized sugar syrup not over sweetened ....
Overall I can say presentation wise good ..all dishes taste perfect with well balanced flavour ....slight improvement can be done
Final verdict --- must visit by every bong
Bon-Appetitte
Ambience is nice. Not crowded even on Durga Puja days was little surprising. However food was delicious. For all bongs living outside their native Bengal can give their taste buds something different once in a while.
Aloo Posto and Luchi were my favourite. Service was good so was their behaviour. Overall a very satisfying lunch.
Byapok! A true to its roots bengali restaurant in NCR is hard to find. This one lives up to the billing. The set up is very unique and cutely done. The food is simply delectable. A strong recommend is Bhetki Paturi.
My rating- Gorgeworthy
Superb food, great price, quite atmosphere. They have free wifi, and one serving of chatni is complimentary!! Definite must visit! Do have the rosogollas after the hearty meal
This is one of the few places which is true to what they want to be. Be it ambience, food, menu and even music. Love the food and the decor. Service is good too.

Absolutely loved the food here. Bang for the buck- Atleast 30-40% cheaper than Oh Calcutta! We have ordered Rice, Pabda sorse, potol chingri korma, gondhoraj chicken, nolen gurer ice cream and fish kabiraji. Each item served our taste buds to the fullest. Its a small place (as compared to big restos like Oh Calcutta) but the ambience is very nice. The staff is also very much courteous. Would definitely recommend.
The quaint set up of this restaurant with theme revolving around Bengal is a worth visit when you are in Sector 49 Gurgaon. My all time favourite cuisine here is the Luchi and Cholan Dal , they make a deadly combo!Ofcourse if you love fish and Biryani it will be your paradise. The service is quick and staff are friendly and courteous.
Authentic, brilliant, home-style Bengali food. For a change I can recommend a Bengali restaurant which lives up to every expectations. For most people Bengali food is just about the Kosha mangsho and sweets. But I’d urge people to try their other dishes, specially their tok aam dal and kasundi bhindi among other things.
Quite a pleasant experience. We ordered luchi, alur dom, mutton bhuna khichudi, dhakai chicken roast and doi maach. The dhakai chicken roast definitely stood out. It was roasted to perfection and the sweet gravy permeated into the meat perfectly. The khichudi was also good and was accompanied by perfectly crispy beguni. My only disappointment was the fish. One would have high expectations when it comes to fish in a Bengali restaurant - but the doi maach fell short of the mark. The fish was not very fresh and was over fried before being put in the gravy. But hats off for trying put some Bangladeshi dishes and some experimental dishes which most Bengali restaurants have not. I will surely visit again.
Some time its good to have lunch like your native place and Banani’s Kitchen is one of those, Authentic bengaliana food 🥘 from Luchi to Ghonto. You will be find every known and unkown bengali and bangla deshi food there. Tried Mutton Kobirazi, dhakai Mutton pulao, Daab Chingri, Kosha mangsho and last the great “Nolin Gurer Ice-cream”. I just loved it. Will alwayz prefer to friends and family ☺️😍 !!! joy Guru!!!!
Authentic bengali cuisine right here at this place, very friendly staff, nice & quiet space & relatively small. Takes me back to kolkata everytime i visit this place.
Lovely place in a usually quite area of gurgaon. Loved the complimentary dish they served us. Very authentic food. Staff is courteous as well.

Quiet place with a comfortable and descent atmosphere and homely Bengali food, all at a reasonable price.
Food we ordered (dhakai mutton pulao, kasha mangsho, luchi, bengali style chicken curry) was delicious, pretty much homemade style, with less of undesired restaurant type richness.
Has a few car parking space in front as well.
Also, Zomato gold membership was a plus point for us.
Overall its a great option to explore if you’d like to have homestyle Bengali food at a good price point, instead of overpriced (but great) restaurants (Oh Calcutta etc.).
Very tasty food. It is very nicely decorated and is Bengali themed. Nice soft Bengali music plays in the background as you eat. The owner is very nice, and so is the waiter.
One of the few Bengali speciality cuisine restaurants in G'town. This place is quaint, and serves equally good food. The service people are helpful and the interiors wise it's not fancy but it is pretty great on its own. Cost wise it is reasonably cheaper than Oh!Calcutta, which sets you back by 3-4k for a good meal for 4 people. This place will do the same in 2k. The food options and portions are all pretty good, with some special dishes and some common ones, some items were not available, maybe due to the season. I was really looking forward to some Nolen gurer ice cream but due to winter, they apparently didn't have any. The fish served was fresh, we had Pabda, I don't know if that is the case with all the options of fish available. But we were pretty satisfied with our food and experience at this place.
The place serves one of the best Bengali food outside Bengal. This place is truly cultural, taste and charm of bengali food. I had been there 2 times and even my friends from europe loved this place and the Bengali cuisine. Being a north indian, it was a great exposure to a great food without specifically visiting the state. Its right here in gurgaon.
Food🍴🍕 are really tasty, SPECIFICALLY Kaviraaji 🐔Chicken was awesome👍. Nice Ambience, traditional bengali songs.. Just lovely💕
Food was great , nice ambience , staff behavior was nice & quality & quantity of food was okay. Loved having dinner out there. Thanks for serving
Good place to eat authentic Bengali food, we tried mutton and fish it was yum...
Nice cosy place, but only tables for 4 exist which is not an issue if the place is not crowded. Very Polite waiters. Really good food.
It is not a very big place, but for a group of 8 to 10, it's nice. Perfect for a dinner or lunch for 4. The place and the ambience is very nice - 4/5. Food quality 4/5. Presentation and preparing time 3.5/5. Pricing is competitive as compared to other restaurants in Gurgaon and a little on the higher side. Overall a nice place for Bengali food and delicacies. I had a good time. Plus it's opened till very late. You would get food even if u reach there @11pm. Probashi Bengali would love it.....
