Warm friendly service and delicious food make this diner a great stop to eat. It's affordable and really delivers bang for its buck. I've become a regular customer.
Its one of my fav places in Sushant lok 2, one of the great places to get the delivery done.
Kadhai paneer is just superrrr.. lacha parantha and naan are souper soft and layered !
The only place I know that serves sweet pongal! Absolute delight! The paneer kulcha is real nice! Cutesy little place but really good food. Both North India and South Indian food is on point.
We went to Honk kong bazar for some work . We saw this place and decided to try it out.The place was small with few seatings .We ordered Mini dosa combo and Onion rawa masala dosa and paneer paratha . The dosa was nice but sambhar could be better ... overall good
Going to taste of Tamil nadu for lunch. I had order masala Dosa with sambhar. The dosa was fresh and very tasty, filling of Dosa was very delicious. Sambhar was fresh and very tasty. Must try once.
Ordered couple of masala dosas, onion utappam, dahi vada..the taste is really good specially the two chutneys provided along which are in really good quantity..do give this place a try for sure..
Explored this south Indian joint during my shopping spree at Hong Kong bazar. Simple clean joint. For lunch ordered butter milk, dosa combo and curd rice.
Dosa combo consists of one plain, one masala and one mini uttapam served with sambhar, coconut and tomoto chutneys.
Curd rice is served with pickle, sambhar, papadam and fried chilli
Food is simply awesome, authentic flavours and taste. Service quite fast. Value for money. Do try this place.they also serve north Indian and Chinese food
It's a place where every Indian cuisine is offered, the serving is fast. Best for regular brunches and lunch. I had South India as well chola bhatura, both equally tasty.
The best one to satisfy my Mid-day Cravings in Gurgaon, just loved the food, everything was up to mark and brilliantly created. Anyone will be admired of the service at this place. It's very rare to find such a place with amazing ambience.
Everyone must visit at least once if you are in Gurgaon.
Yesterday I visit taste of Tamil nadu restaurant. After 6years I had dosa its was fine what I expect. Sambar, coconut chutney was taste of Tamil nadu but tomato chutney I don't like anyways keep it up... 👍
The only place I know of which serves good south indian, north indian and chinese food.
Their sambhar is very tasty. Dosas and idlis are good too.
Dal makhani is a little too creamy. Palak paneer is good. Paranthas are okay but butter naan is too good.
Had ordered their hakka noodles, which are typical street style.
Although it is a small restaurant with average seating space, the food makes up for all. A must try!
One of the best places to have south Indian food. Have been there several times, and taste remains consistent and comparable to Naivedyam another south Indian restaurant near by.
Had ordered rasam rice a couple of weeks back. The quantity of rasam was not enough for the rice. But the taste was ok.
Packaging also needs improvement.
This place is quiet nice and they have good south indian options. I ordered Rava masala dosa, rasam and lemon rice all of them were scrumptious. The service is little slow but the food is good, so i would recommend this place for a quick meal.
Ordered upma and idly from them a couple of days back and had a good delivery experience. The upma was defenetily one of the best I have eaten in Gurgaon. The sambar was quite tasty. If anything can be improved it should be the packaging. Spoons were not sent along with the order. And sambar and chutney comes in pouches instead of plastic bowls.
The best South Indian cuisine around the corner. Vadas and idlis are humungous and sumptuous. Sambhar and chutneys are just prefect and aromatic. Dosas are a delight ! Service is quick. Quantity of food is satisfactory. Quality too. In all a value for money deal.
If you are looking for a good south indian food in this part of the city. This place is serving some amazing south indian with north Indian twist.
The menus is little overpriced but worth the quality and taste offered.
What can be better than having a healthy breakfast at this such a cute place in hong kong market, Gurugram. The place is very small, but makes you comfortable and gives you a homely feeling serving in steel utensils.
The place was very neat, fully air conditioned and had an healthy atmosphere.
We Ordered Rice Idli for the meal and it was light, tasty and very soft. It truly made the morning with a glass of tea.
The serving is very humble and when we consider the cost, it is very much affordable for people wanting to have a full stomach with just spending an amount of 200.
Truly had the taste of Tamil Nadu.
A must visit place!
U ll simply feel that u are in a south Indian restaurant in South India.. The pongal here is the best that I have had till date.. Loved the south Indian cuisine..
This is a place where you can have good authentic south Indian food which is value for money... Specially the Rawa Masala Dosa and Uttapam....love it whenever I visit Gurugram
Good place..Very good service..i seriously feel they should move to a bigger place for better business..All the best..It's nicely located...Good food and convenient to reach
Been there many times as its close to my house. They recently moved to ground floor from top floor. I liked their dosa, and other south indian meals. They also serves Chinese and fast foods. But, this time the taste was not that good as it was before.
We tried rawa masala dosa, chaach & Masala dosa. The new space is cozy but now visible while entering in to the small mall. Price is good but taste can be improved again.
Decent place for a quick South Indian grub. The dosas are nice, but nothing extraordinary. The Rasam keeps changing in taste and needs more consistency in taste. It's easy on the pocket, but the service could definitely be better.
Been there with lots of expectation but highly disappointed. Menu looks rich with some good options. Biriyani is still good! Don't even think about other items..
This is the place to accomplish your immediate craving of South Indian food
The interiors and service is just marginally more than average and quality of food is decent especially South Indian
Wanted to try South Indian meal so this time went to this new outlet which was located in Hong Kong bazar. The ambience of restaurant is good and sitting is well managed. After going through the menu decided to order butter masala dosa, mix veg utthapam. The service is quick and taste of the food is good. One can try this outlet for a change.
They are good in South Indian cuisine and avoid Chinese and Indian .
The best part is they are quite economical in this locality and at this price they are doing a great job.
They will surely not disappoint you with South Indian food.
If you have cravings for south Indian food once in a while and you love regular masala dosa sambhar and chutney...this is a nice little outlet to meet your requirements ...covers almost all regular south Indian cuisines..sambhar and chutney which gives you an idea about any south Indian outlet is up to mark...since it crowded in weekends ..you might have to wait for a table and service.overall a decent place

+3.5
After getting suggestions for quick vegetarian bites around sector 56 from the Facebook group 'Gurgaon Foodies', I walked into this restaurant with my family for lunch. It is located on the second floor in Hongkong Bazaar and you can spot it as soon as you are off the escalator.
They serve not only South Indian as one would guess but a wide variety of North Indian dishes too.
Get set Gobble:
~ Idli vada - There were 2 pcs each in a plate. The vadas were quite tiny but super crispy and absolutely yumm. I did not like the texture of the idli. We did end up ordering another plate of vada (got 4pcs this time) and enjoyed them thoroughly. MUST ORDER.
~ Rava Masala dosa - I think this was the best item on the menu. Extremely well prepared and super light with masala of aloo and matar. We all loved it so much so that we ordered 3 repeats of this! MUST ORDER.
~ Mysore plain dosa - I usually end up ordering this particular style of dosa preparation everywhere. However I did not appreciate it that much where I felt the masala coating could have been spicier. Saying that, the dosa was quite crisp and well prepared.
~ Butter masala dosa - The buttery flavour wasn't enough for me. The masala filling and dosa preparation was consistently good.
~ Plain dosa - Since my granny wanted to eat something a little soft and and not too crisp, the chef prepared it accordingly. Much thanks for that. Dosas are served with 2 chutneys, tomato and coconut. The coconut one is quite low on salt. Their sambar is average.

Easy on the pocket meal. Quick service.
Tips and tricks:
The staff is very courteous and understanding. If you need any alterations to your dish, feel free to share it with them.
This is one of the best Pure Veg places in Gurgaon , the south Indian food is yum. The delivery is also good and quality was awesome. It's kind of a heaven for pure Veg followers.
I had ordered idli, wada, rasam, and rava Masala dosa.
I had received it hot and each portion had an amazing distinct South Indian taste. The rasam really tasted good, followed by idli which was again amazing, wada was small in size but tasted good not to forget the Sambar loved it and the topping to all of it was the chutni.
What I did not like was the rava Masala dosa it was too oily and not crisp like I was expecting it to be.
This is one small part which needs little attention.
Over all I had a nice experience.
In this culinary world of high flying speciality setups Taste of Tamil Nadu comes across as a breath of fresh air. Sincere bunch of people and a sincerer foodstuff made our day. We started with the traditional rasam, which was exceptionally good with a blend of right ingredients in right measure.Superlative servings of South Indian delicacies followed out of which rawa onion dosa with its rustic southy taste stood out.
Altogether a good experience which on performance terms is similar to Sami of indian cricket..understated yet impactful.
Both thumbs up to this place 👍👍
When looking for simple home style south Indian food - ToT is a great option for home delivery.I ordered a plate of idli, vada, a rawa masala dosa and uttapam for 2. The food was delivered as per the promised time, piping hot and crisp. They actually took efforts to keep the masala subzi of the dosa separate to avoid sagging of the dosa. The packaging was clean and serving portions fulfilling. My Rating - 3.5
A good enough option to try close to authentic south indian food except the sambhar.
We reached there after being stuck in a jam for 2 hour, so were super hungry. We ordered paper masala, mini thali, rawa masala and south Indian platter.
The dosas were great in taste and were crispy. The platter was amazing as the vadas were fresh and amazing in taste. Idlis too were good but could have been little lighter.
To end it with filter coffee was a good decision as it came out to be super refreshing.
The entire experience was made great by the courteous nature and smiling faces of staff
Taste of Tamil Nadu - Hong Kong Bazaar [Sector-57 : Gurgaon]
Located on the 1st Floor in the complex which houses Om Sweets on the Ground Floor, 'Taste of Tamil Nadu' is a an average restaurant (though the name is attractive with blend of the south). The restaurant has a reasonably spacious seating with 20 people capacity. Opened in 2012, the restaurant caters for in-house food service and online orders from 50 to 59 Sectors in Gurgaon (and more..).
The Rice Idli and Sambhar which I had was OK (nothing so 'awesome' and 'out of the world'). Well, I can't compare this place to the happening and High Brand 'South Indian' restaurants like 'Naivedyam' or 'Vaango' (of 'Chutneys@Hyderabad which I visited just last month during my visit to Hyderabad). Just two chutneys were served with the Idli Sambhar which itself was a rather sad story (as neither of them were good)
The staff is good and full marks for hospitality and service (5/5). Probably, the restaurant is located one layer up than the all time famous sweets shop chain - Om Sweets on the Ground Floor. During my visit to 'Taste of Tamil Nadu' (1 pm today), I was their only customer in their 'house'.
Well, an average place (3.5/5.0)
Ordered a plate of Idli Sambhar and two plates of Chilly Potatoes.
The food was nice. The Idlis were nice and fresh, the Coconut and the Peanut Chutneys were given in abundance. The Sambhar was the usual.
The Chilly Potatoes also were nice.
What was weird was, the fact that one plate of Chilly Potatoes was fresh and the other wasn't. It was kinda stale.
I visited this place last weekend as my husband had food here earlier and he was praising it for its rasam and sambhar preparation a lot. I had ordered onion rava masala, rasam, my son ordered sambhar vada and my husband ordered its rava combo. I liked its rasam and sambhar. Idli with chutney was also gud. Vadas were also soft and crispy. Overall it was average south Indian meal. They can make it bettee in taste.
I have been to this place several times but believe me i never had such a tasty south indian food like here anywhere the people are very nice respected by all.and You should enjoy all the dosa and snacks meal is my fav and also u should try meals like mini and big meals you will enjoy the real south indian feeling in you and also the rasam and the halwa... awsome.. you guys are great and its just a km away from my room....great
Tiny little joint on the 2nd floor of Hong Kong Mall in sector 57. We decided to try it out since it is pretty much in my backyard. For the price we paid, which was quite reasonable, the food was pretty good. Dosa's were crisp, and they also obliged and used minimal oil on request. Idli's were quite nice too. However Vada's were soggy and old. Post this visit we have turned up a few more times as well, and on the next visits we made sure we asked the waiter if the vada was made fresh. This time round, it was hot and crisp. Overall satisfied, an acceptable place for a quick bite.
Nice. Low on ambience. Quick service. Delicious south Indian food.I usually dont like coconut chutney but this time it tasted so good. Value for money.
Great taste of all the dishes, be it South Indian or north. Both quality n quantity of the dishes are great!!!.. Also get the catering done for a small function, it was worth it n all the guests really liked the North Indian food ordered, both snacks n main course!!
We love to go to this place at least once every month. Very reasonable price and good food. South Indian is very tasty. In fact Chinese was also not disappointing.
Pretty authentic. This place will get all 4.0. I cannot give 5.0 in spite of great food because I've had great home made south Indian feast many times, while growing up in south. Staff and service is above average. Reasonable rates. Must try, if you are around 56.
well, tastes good! everything tastes authentic. good, genuine, simple, easy on the stomach. Can I say more? Yes I can- the aroma is inviting and the unobtrusive service staff are a plus. No one dresses up your plate formidably; and no one looks at you if you eat with your fingers! the idlis I had were super soft and the chutneys were so fresh. The meal was a good experience- my husband ordered puris which were a bit oily; but tasted good and crisp so the sin is pardoned! Once in a while we should eat oily food- it greases the system! also makes us fat! But going back to the food at Taste of Tamilnadu, it is really good and wholesome with very attractive pricing.
The taste of tamilnadu is really good.. home delivery within 20 minutes twice. The food was hot And at a reasonable price too.. I ordered a thali and even after me and my sister's belly were full.. there was still some food left.. and the thali was at just rs 200.
Tasty, hygienic and extremely reasonably priced !! Restaurant is simple and functional; if you are looking for a fancy restaurant you would be disappointed - but food wise, in NCR, only Saravana Bhawan serves better south Indian food. Both south as well as north Indian is simple yet tasty and good value for money, so if you live close -by, it's a great takeaway too !
Good south indian food, at least uptill now! Keep it up!
Great place with authentic food...and good and genuine filter coffee
Ohhhhh man... Yummmm foood.. Just relocated from Andhra back to Delhi... Yummmmy dosas and wonderful filter coffee.. Very respectful staff.. Like very... Must visit... And hey, its dammmn cheap... As in damn affordable.. Must try ghee roast dosa.. Masala dosa was yumm too.. I also got a free rasam..heeeee made my day..
