This is the oldest authentic Chinese restaurant in Guwahati. Tried Lung Fung Thong (soup). I love the chicken fried rice with chilli chicken. You can feel the Chinese vibe inside the restaurant. Bit pricey but that's ok considering the authenticity.

It is quite a good place for Chinese food. The quantity was more than enough. I liked their American Chopsuey, it was delicious. Although the service was a bit slow it was worth it. π
In One word, I *love* this Restaurant. Since, I was very young, I'm visiting this place & till this date, it has been One & the best one I find for Chinese, in Ghy.
My favourite Chinese restaurant (well, this along with China Town and Wan Li, obviously). I have tried Chinese cuisine all over the country and nothing beats these 3 in Ghy. One point of concern though is that there are rare days when the food just isn't good enough.
A must visit restaurant in Guwahati. It has catered to my cravings for Chinese food since I was a kid. Still maintaining the same great taste that made this my staple. Highly recommended.
I Have gone there only once but I swear, I would love to go there further. Because I found it quite worth to spend the quality money on the delicious food. And the environment was quite soothing to have a family dine. Keep it up!
One of the oldest chinese restaurants in guwahati......lot of nostalgic memories but the place has not changed.
Chicken drum sticks were a lot more salty and over fried.
Pork fried wantons were just right...light and crispy.
The chicken fry pak cham kay was light and possibly the best....we ordered seconds

One of the best Chinese food eatery in Guwahati City. I like all the food that I have ordered. Chicken fried rice and some chicken fried with vegetables. The ambience was nice. Would like to visit the restaurant soon.

Chung Fa screams nostalgia to me because itβs been here ever since I moved to ghy in 1999. Really good Chinese food, for a decent price. My go to dish here is the BBQ pork!
Chung fa is one if the oldest restaurants in the city and on a recent trip home, I went back to this place after almost a decade. I was delighted to see their old decor and ambience being maintained even after a location change. I ordered some veg fried rice, chicken manchurian, chilly chicken, and chicken sweet corn soup. I really liked dining here and the food is the same. Really glad they are still in business and would love to visit again when I am back in the city!
One of the best authentic Chinese restaurants I prefer in the city. I have been eating and ordering from this restaurant since I was a kid. It's one of my and my family's favourite chinese restaurants. I usually end up ordering chilly pork, barbeque roast pork, hunan chicken, beijing chicken, golden fried prawns (as starters), fried rice and noodles. Polite and friendly staff. Serves you a number of dips with good quantity food. Worth the price. Good traditional Chinese ambience. Somehow chungfa never dissapoints me. Best wishes!
Now that I recall, I have been eating here since I could remember, and there's this one particular server whom I have not seen aging at all.
Nonetheless, everytime we visited here, my family's staple order has been Chicken Hakka Noodle, Pork Hakka Noodle, Chilli Chicken Dry, and Pork Chicken Dry with our choices of beverages.
Trust me, Chung Fa never seems to disappoint. With a hope that they will continue to serve their amazing cuisines till eternity, I look forward to visit them soon.
The most amazing Chinese food you will get here. You must try veg manchurian n veg fried rice combo. It's amazingly amazing. I stay in Delhi but whenever I visit home I make sure I have this dish from here. You gotta try them. You will not regret ever.
Chung Fa is near Loyanz cafe. The ambience of the restaurant was good and the ambience was totally defines the Chinese culture . The staff were well behaved. The food was awesome. I rly like the American choupsey. One of the best choupsey found in the city. The service was quite impressive. I love to visit this place again.π

I ordered Veg Lung Fung Thong, Ginger Fried Rice and Veg Cantonese Chowmein. I have to say the taste was amazing and quite authentic.
Veg Cantonese Chowmein was awesome.
Many Non Veg food items to try and Ambience creates a little Chinese feel as well with its dim lighting and Red Colour.

Chung Fa makes the best Chinese food in town. Their rates are reasonable, and I have never tasted better American Chopseuy than the own served by them. They are also one of Guwahati's oldest Chinese restaurants, which has granted them quite a lot of permanent customers. So, on the food, you have a 5 from me.
Ambience - The restaurant is dimly lit and the table tops seem like they haven't been washed properly in ages. However, if you don't care much about ambience, Chung Fa is your go to restaurant for Chinese food. But even if you're a cleanliness freak, go to the restaurant anyway! The food is worth it.
Service - They have less manpower for the amount of customers they get everyday. As a result, the waiters won't be that prompt or might even ignore you, when you have a query, or you want to ask them about something. They often wear a grumpy face which might make you wonder why they're serving as waiters in the first place. Moreover, they take a lot of time to deliver the food.
However, the food always beats the service and the ambience. So if you're new to Guwahati or intend on visiting soon, make it a point to go to Chung Fa.
This place has a really nice Ambiance, a little dim but gets you good pictures. The food here is really good. You can book tables and food in advance too. The staff is very friendly. You surely will have a nice time here.

Well.. if you are looking for an authentic Chinese restuarant, then you're at the right place. First, I would appreciate the ambience which at the first sight gives an impression of a perfect Chinese outlet. Second, lots of appreciation for the rich food that they serve.
Talking about the base, I love the Mixed friedrice that comes with chicken, egg and prawns (a very heavy one indeed), you can opt for the chicken or prawn fried rice too, or you can go for plain rice if you're planning to have a variety of the main course items.
Coming to the main course, you can try out Prawns (chilly, garlic or sweet and sour), Chicken (chilly, manchurian, garlic or the one with hot garlic sauce) and the Chilly pork or Pork with bamboo shoot.
Chicken sweet corn soup is my personal favorite.
If you are a vegeterian, go for the Mixed Veg soup (a thick soup with minced veggies and crispy noodles on top). Try out the Chilly paneer, Chilly baby corn and the Stir Fried Mixed vegetables or the Veg balls in hot garlic sauce.
Although a bit expensive, but if you crave for Chinese food then this place is a must try.

Best chinese restaurant till date. The food is very good. Prices are reasonable as compared to the quantity they serve. I mostly have chicken or pork noodles which are the best noodles. They give decent amount of chicken as well as pork in their noodles and also one dish is enough for two people. Highly recommended.

One of Guwahati's oldest and most trusted restaurants when it comes to Chinese dishes, Chung Fa has been around for quite some time. This used to be my 'go-to' place for all things Chinese. It never disappointed, whether in taste, ambience, quality or service. But in recent times it's as if Chung Fa has lost its spirit, it feels different. Even the once revered food tastes nothing like it used too. I won't go into details but in the end I just hope it regains its former glory.
The perfect place for lunch or dinners whatever you wish for. I have been visiting this place since I was a baby and I still have this place on top of my favourite list. They have perfectly maintained their quality of food. The staff people are extremely helpful and polite. I have already recommend it to a number of people and will continue doing it. My first review for any eatery in Guwahati. This place is located atop another restaurant. Speaking of ambience, place was dimly lit( not a fan of) and music was playing at mild volume. The place can accommodate quite a few people. Speaking of food i ordered chicken Cantonese gravy noodles and the quantity was enough for two. Taste wise it was well balanced, but a lil bit spice will be a welcome change. Chicken pieces provided were decent in size and are well cooked. Staff is quite helpful and are quick on their feet and are very soft spoken. Crowd is a mix of couples and a few families. Overall this place is satisfactory.

I am giving you 4 out of 5 because of your food quality quantity and it's taste..
But I am very unhappy with your service. I ordered American choupsey and drumstick of heaven and it was served after an hour. It is not expected from a restaurant with such a big name. Please improve your staff and serving time because it is not possible to wait for an hour just for two dishes when there were minimum number of customers.
It serves delicious chinese dishes.i tried their special mix chowmein,it was yum.The decor of this place is very soothing.The staff members are amiable and jolly.The rates are a bit higher.

Started from Chung Fa, now we still here.
I've been coming here for more than a decade and it's one of my go-to comfort palaces of all time, so much so that we eat from here almost twice a week sometimes (bit too much, yes I know).
And I'll admit, the food's gotten blander. My doubts are about the freshness of the meat because I ordered pork Cantonese noodles and was heavily disappointed. The pork was tough, tasteless and felt like we were getting the pieces that are usually discarded off.
I like their greens. But the gravies that they make with cornflour sometimes have TOO much cornflour. It can be done even with a light broth.
Chung Fa had never disappointed me in the past but since the past year or so, I sense a laziness, perhaps that they've become comfortable with the same recipes (laudable for consistency otherwise) and have forgotten the joy to be found in fresh ingredients, or innovation of some kind. I'm not trying to be patronising, I apologize. But because I love this place and their food so much, my disappointment is louder than most.
Service wise, they're a solid 5/5. I see the same stuff I have been seeing for the last ten years. They're generous and courteous and there's nothing to complain about in that domain.
I advise you against the heaviness of the gravy noodles in the present times, although they were my guilty pleasure until recently.
Their main dishes of chicken and prawn are pretty great still though. I personally love flavours that taste of caramel, vinaigrette and soya together. And this is what keeps reeling me back in for more, for another taste, for another trial.
Visited this place on eve of Valentines Day. The interior and decor was great with chinese theme. The food was great, providing the best chinnese cuisines in Guwahati. Prices were resonable as per the quality of the food .
Chinese cuisine is my favorite and this place is the best. I love their chilly pork. Hakka kay, choupsey, chilly chicken are some of the other dishes that are delicious too.
One of the most popular and old Chinese restaurants in Guwahati and is still popular in the city. We have been to the joint quite a number of times and enjoyed it a lot. The ambience is quite good and comfortable to enjoy a meal. We had ordered noodles and prawn and were quite satisfied by it. Food-(4.5/5) they have a good menu comprising of Indianised-chinese items. Do ..try out there dragon chopsuey..it's very nice. One plate is good enough for two hungry people.
Barbacued sliced pork is another awesome item...it's a must try out here.
Crispy fried chicken, chilli chicken, noodles are also decent.
Overall food is quite good, for the moderate costs.
Ambience-(3.5/5) it has a dark red theme...which is reminiscent of China Towns in various places...it looks little bit gloomy. With decent sitting arrangement. I think they could have done little more decorations and put some Chinese lamps to brighten up the environment.
Service-(3.5/5) service is decent and quick. The staffs are little weird in their behaviour and I think they could have been little more friendly.
Overall, Chung Fa is still one of the better place to have a satisfactory Chinese meal at a reasonable costs.

Srping chicken was very tasty and crispy, but the fried rice and panner were disappointing... though the quantity was huge but taste wasnt as good as expected..
I have been to this place many a times ever since my childhood days and the food still maintains the quality as it was earlier. Hospitable staff, spacious interiors and the good quality and quantity of food served over here at reasonable rates has always managed to grab a lot of customers.
This has to be one of the best Chinese food places. Their American Chop suey is so very good, my mouth is watering as I write this and it's one dish I'm craving right now, hence this review. The Kung Pao chicken is delicious. I've been there many a times and these two top my list.
The service is good. The place is well, homely. I love checking my Chinese zodiac out as I eagerly wait for my food there.

Chung fa is a pretty decent Chinese outlet. The decor and ambience is nice and quite, not too crowded. We tried the American choupsey which was pretty great and the chilli chicken is like the go to dish. I wouldn't recommend the Hakka noodles though, found it pretty bland. Service was okay. Overall, it's a good pick and not too tough on your pockets, enjoy!

Ordered Beijing Chicken for mains and I was full with content. Staff service is good and the rates are good enough for the huge servings provided. Have been to good looking new restaurants and got disappointed lately. Needed a good entrèe asap. Looking forward to try other dishes soon.

Ambience is quite okay...complete feeling of eating at a restaurant in China!! Food quality good, quantity too good!! One plate of any noodles will serve two easily!! I liked it but I dont think the American Chopsuey is beyond my expectations...It could have been better and the addition of fruits in it will taste it more better
This has been one of my favorite Chinese restaurants in guwahati. Chungfa has a different kind of flavor in it's noodles which you can't find in any other restraunts. The quality and quantity of this restaurant makes a person feel like coming back over and over again.
