Hands down to the best quantity.Cozy environment...very simple yet clean...We ordered roast pork,chicken gravy chowmein and pork fried rice.Though the rice was a little bit less on salt but the roast pork really made it up for that...Tender,tasty,sweet nad salty pork.....Definitely recommend to everyone..

Been here twice and both the times I left happily! Budget is affordable and the food is also very good & generous in quantity. Just wish they also sells dimsums (momos) in the future.
Wonderful place. Truly Chinese. It always has a nostalgia associated with it. Right from soups to noodles, the quality of the food is just fantastic.

This place is like one of the oldest chinese restaurants in town. This tiny restaurant might be small but the quantity of food is huge. The decor is normal but there are table mats with chinese astrology to pass the time while you wait for your food. I’m an OX btw. Anyway, try the lung fung soup. I’ll always come back to this place and i have since i was young.
China Town is an old, iconic restaurant which has been serving Chinese themed food items to guwahatians since atleast last 20-30 years! This place... despite many ups and downs ...is still a good place for Chinese meal at a reasonable price.

Food- (4/5) the menu is quite good. And it comprises all the basic Chinese, Hakka items...I simply like their noodles, chopsuey, sliced pork, crispy chicken etc.
Best thing about the place is that quantity is very good.
One plate of chopsuey or noodles is enough for 2 persons.
Prices are moderate and there's no GST.
Ambience-(4/5) the place is very basic, the owners house on the ground floor had been converted to this restaurant. But the place has been well lighted and has good clean surroundings.

This is the perfect place for Chinese lovers. The food is just awesome from quality to quantity. Ordered Chinese chopsuey the taste was great and more than enough for 2 persons. The pork mushroom was lip-smacking, the slices of pork were so soft and the taste of mushroom was making it even more delicious. Spring chicken was crunchy. The interior was decent and staffs were friendly.
I have been visiting this place since i was a kid. I love chinese food. I remember my father asking me once when i was 10 years old "where do you wan't to go" and i said only two words "china town".
It's like a heritage spot right in the middle of the city.... It's been there for as long as I remember since childhood... Chinese owners, so the Chinese food obviously can't go wrong... My favourites are mixed hakka noodles, american chopsuey & roast pork... Everything's worth the price and the servings are large too.... China Towns been around in Guwahati for ages and i've eaten here quite a few times tbh... went there yesterday with my mum after a long time and i wasnt disappointed... this place isnt much for ambience and the menu is very basic but dont let that lull you.. the food is awesome n d taste hasnt really changed much over the years... service comes with a smile here n that made my pork noodles & pork chilly that much more tastier... prices r easy on d pocket...definitely recommend a visit here!!

A complete family restaurant! China Town, located at Rajgarh is one of the few oldest Chinese restaurants in Guwahati. We have grown up throwing birthday parties during ourschool days. They serve the best Chinese food. Hakka Noodles, Chicken Manchurian and Garlic Prawn here are my favorites. The ambiance is completely homely, doesn't look like a restaurant in the first place. Though there are better Chinese restaurants booming up, China Town will always take a place in my heart. Some good old memories!! And of course, good food too.

As always China town is a must go , whenever I am in guwahati. And now that I am leaving the town for a week's time, I was sure to visit this place once.
I love everything in here, but specifically the gravy chowmein. My friend say, the gravy noodles in here is better than that of the gravy chownein he tried in Beijing.lol. .

Ambience:- This restaurant being one of very very popular restaurants in guwahati since a very long time, has kind of two rooms/ chambers as in the seating area . It has normal wooden chairs and table, and gives you a very friendly environment to sit and eat quick meals.However It's not very plush, and I always like the zodiac sign chart placed on every table.
Food:- like I already mentioned , I love gravy chowmein, but this time we ordered hakka noodles, garlic pork, chilly pork and soft drinks. The garlic pork was good. Noodles as always, thumbs up. The chilly pork was not out of the blue, it was a normal preparation you find in any Chinese junction.
Service:- nothing of any specialty. Normal service.
Conclusion:- I find it good for its location and also being not much luxurious gives you the free pass to go for a quick carefree meal.
This is my favorite-est of all places in Guwahati. My father had been a loyal, regular visitor from his bachelor days and now it it speaks the same for me. We manage take away from here quite often, especially when I'm home. China Town is a legacy, an institution and a vignette from an ever evolving city. Nothing has changed about them and their food has been one of the most constant memories through thick and thin.
Their noodles are the best, so are their chopsueys. Chinese food is never this honest, wholesome and welcoming. This is my best food memory next to mom's cooking. Come for their flavours and stay for their consistency.
Nice place offering you gud food. Last visited on 1qtg July, and arrived their at 2.55pm. the waiter was well behaved and took our order even though it was closing time.
Ordered fried rice ,chilli chicken dry and hunan chicken.
The taste of chilli chicken dry could have been better. It felt like home cooked and doesn't had any extra ordinary taste.

Must try is GARLIC PORK, PORK ROAST, Prawn Hakka Chowmein and Chopsuey is great too.

I cannot really recall the number of times i have been there as it has been one of my favorites since childhood. Have visited this place with family, cousins, friends and surprisingly it has never failed to make us happy and come out with full tummies and smiling faces without burning a hole in our pockets.
The interior is just simple and compact. Stays highly crowded during the peak hours.
Have tasted almost all the dishes from the menu and i cannot name any of it that has dissapointed me. The quantity is maximum. The quantity that you get in that price to which the taste adds, can hardly be found in any other food joints in guwahati.
I have nothing bad to write about this place except for the service, which earlier was really humble and gentle but since a couple of months i found them really rude and unfriendly. That is the only negative point they have presently which if taken care of can get them a rating of 5.
This place is very very similar to Chung Fa when it comes to good and setting. One of the oldest and original chinese, China Town still is in the game. Notable dish for me is Pork Manchurian and the fried rice are also good on their own.

The quantity... Yes, the quantity is amazing for the price! The stewards always suggest that the quantity will be more. Very friendly staff. It's a signature restaurant for Guwahati catering to the young and old alike. The food is loved by grandma as well as the grand children. I must say the restaurant is older than me. It was a place my father used to go during his college days and it seems like I carried on the tradition too. As I have said in my review of Chung-fa, these two places were the pioneers of introducing Guwahati beyond the regular Hakka noodles and fried rice. The quality of the food...??? The long wait for tables at any time of the day... That is the answer.

I am an ardent chinese dishes lover and I have been a regular customer of China town since my childhood. The taste and quantity of the items are excellent. But recently during my past few visits, I recieved a cold behaviour from the staffs. They were little rough which made me dissapointed. So I rate it 3 out of 10 for only this reason. Otherwise it would have been 10 on 10 for food and ambience.
There is absolutely no denying that China Town brought good chinese food to the city of Guwahati. As a kid, I had the luxury of staying on the top floor of the same building and how many times did I order the chicken manchurian and chicken fried rice. Trust me, they have their own trademark aroma which very few places in the country can boast of. Went there recently and glad to say that the place remains as good and quality is still there. This place is a part of my childhood and growing up so maybe I am a bit biased.

Went there along with a friend and was surprised to find the restaurant quite good when it came to food and ambience. Had veg noodles which was too tasty to be frank. Also, the items are not that high priced so it can be tried out by the lovers of Chinese food.
Delicious Chinese dishes available at heartwarming prices. Service is not great but you know....works for me. Just the ambience us poor. American choupsey and drums of heaven are my favorites.

This place have been synonymous with Chinese food in Guwahati for ages. Have always loved the food here. The Talumein soup is my hot favourite.
Do try the prawn items because unlike most other restaurants you actually get a lot of prawn here. The choupsey too is mouth watering here.

This place has the most authentic quality chow/noodles of superb quality. The only other place I ever tasted this used to be the old ABBA restaurants in Shillong.

Food and service is good ..As it is only take away so there is no point of answering atmosphere. They don't dine anymore. Early they used to give dine but after Lockdown they have stopped. As a whole nice food n quality is always maintained till now.
Simple ambience (it was repurposed from a house anyway) and the food is highly dependent on the cook, which changes often. So I've had experienced everything, from great food to utter garbage at this establishment; But usually, it's above average.

As it is housed in a residential building, its interiors are not much and sitting arrangements are modest.
But it is the food that attracts the guests. Ordered American Chopsuey, hakka chicken chowmein and garlic prawn. Savoured the food and found it to be delicious. Hats off to the food.

Why is this place still only take-away and delivery baffles me because if it reopened with its already cosy interior, it still will be bustling.
Their Cantonese pork gravy chowmein is my staple, and I definitely miss its cousin which permanently closed down in covid, Chung Fa. Their menu is amazing, and has delivered consistently.
A place in Guwahati that is synonymous with Chinese cuisine. China Town has always been a place to be for genuine Chinese food and enjoy it with family or friends - the more, the merrier.
Unfortunately, they offer only take aways at the moment. But I'm lucky we were able to get table service until before the pandemic. The food still remains delicious and quality ample.
